Hour 3 with Cook and Joe: T.J. Watt has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week. He continued to star in the last three games and was dominant. Myles Garrett is another possible option to win the award. Starkey thinks Mike Tomlin did a great job with managing the defense with so many injuries. Cleveland finished No. 1 in total defense. The Steelers averaged 19.1 points per game. Steelers insider Mark Kaboly of The Athletic joined the show. Mark threw Tyler Boyd as a player the Steelers could possibly sign this offseason in his mailbag. Ron thinks Tomlin struggles to praise Mason Rudolph. He doesn't hesitate to praise Kenny Pickett. There's supposed to be 20-30 mph winds in Buffalo Sunday. Could this be an advantage for the Bills given Josh Allen's arm? Mark thinks the Steelers are playing with house money since they had around a 7% chance to make the playoffs weeks ago. He thinks Tomlin is back and won't take a year off. Mason Rudolph was behind guys like Josh Dobbs and Duck Hodges, he might go and try to make a lot more money and opportunity elsewhere. Mark has nothing wrong with a two year deal for Rudolph and Kenny Pickett coming back as well. 20-17 Steelers.

Hour 1: Expectations for the Steelers Sunday in Houston. Dorin expects good things overall and wants to see the offense continue to find an identity. Houston has rushed for 210 yards in three games and given up 11 sacks. The Steelers should feast. 17 of 20 attempts to tight ends against the Texans defense have resulted in completions. Good for Freiermuth! Could Connor Heyward and Darnell Washington be impactful players?! Penguins won 3-1 in the preseason last night. Crowley is happy for two reasons: Tristan Jarry was good and Erik Karlsson did not get hurt. Karlsson and Letang will both be on the power play. The difference between winning and dominating for the Steelers. Roland in Castle Shannon complains to Crowley he didn't introduce himself! Kevin from London talks London accents for Americans and Steelers thoughts. Ryan Fitzpatrick called Jared Goff a poor man's Matt Ryan, which Goff called him out for on the postgame show on Amazon. Jordan Love looks like a rookie for Dorin. The Lions line is solid and can move people. T.J. Watt is the AFC Defensive Player of the Month. Production matters. Myles Garrett went off against Tennessee, but the NFL got it right for Watt. He might feast against Houston and Crowley predicts three sacks. Crowley doesn't want excuses for players like Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth for being young players. The Texans are the definition of a young football team, not the Steelers. A look around the league.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Tone Pucks for his weekly visit to discuss the Buffalo Bills going to Washington and annihilating the Commanders in addition to some Buffalo Sabres talk. It's no exaggeration to say the Bills defense brutalized Sam Howell and the Washington offense, to the tune of nine sacks, four interceptions and a fumble recovery. The guys talk about how Buffalo was able to so easily dominate, led by Terrell Bernard, who in just a few weeks has went from suspect starter to very likely the reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Week. The offense wasn't too shabby either, with Josh Allen leading the Bills offense to three touchdowns and avoiding costly mistakes other than a meaningless interception. Patrick and Tone talk about his game, the offensive line looking great for a second straight week and Stefon Diggs continuing to play like one of the game's best receivers. Even in a blowout win there's a couple of things to be concerned about. The guys hit on that in addition to the Sabres opening the preseason, some strong feelings Patrick Kane potentially coming to Buffalo and much more. November 16, 2022 - Season 13, Episode 48 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers as they head into Week 11 of the 2022 regular season. We discuss them wearing their Color Rush uniforms in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals to start with. We also discuss Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith being named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his play against the New Orleans Saints.Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday, so Alex and I go over the meaningful things that he had to say. That includes us talking about the overall health of the team heading into Week 11 and if we think safety Minkah Fitzpatrick might be able to return from his appendectomy on Sunday. We go over Tomlin's comments about Kenny Pickett before discussing what former Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had to say about his successors play on Sunday against the Saints. We effectively draw a line in the sand for Pickett entering Week 11 and go over things we will both hyperfocus on starting on Sunday against the Bengals. With the all-22 tape from the Steelers' Week 10 game against the Saints now fully digested, Alex and I give some more thoughts on both sides of the football coming out of that contest. We go over the impact that Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt made in his first game back as part of that discussion. We also talk a little bit about what the Steelers' upcoming game against the Bengals means to the team.Obviously, several other topics are addressed along the way and we close this show by answering several emails that we have received from listeners the last few days.

Join Joey and Chad as they mourn the Bengals loss of Joe Burrow and another game. Next they talk a little Browns running game, some creative play calling, and one surprising defensive standout as well as a not so surprising possibly soon to be announced AFC Defensive Player of the Week. After that, Joey suffers through a few minutes of joyous Steelers banter as Chad throws some love at the oft ignored Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds and nose tackle Tyson Alualu. Finally, Joey comes to terms with the Ravens identity after a bruising loss to the Titans. Spoiler alert, that identity is not "Super Bowl contender." Stick around as the boys preview week 12 in the AFC North. Will Joey have anything to be thankful for after Thursday nights Ravens Steelers rematch? Does anyone have the fortitude to watch the Bengals with Ryan Finley at the helm? Without their two star defensive players, are the Browns primed for an upset?

This week on Phinsider Radio, MC$, Sutton the creepy soccer dad, and Houtzua talk about the Miami Dolphins huge victory over the New England Patriots. More specifically, we dissect the game and look at some key contributors and how they fit into the Dolphins future. We take a dive into the game plan that defensive coordinator Matt Burke put together after being embarrassed by the Patriots just two weeks prior. It was a genius plan and someone who helped him execute that plan was none other than AFC Defensive Player of the Week, Xavien Howard. Howard has been a shutdown corner the past two weeks so we discuss whether or not this will continue. Did Howard find the light bulb and can he remain this good the rest of the year and beyond? We also talk about Kenyan Drake and the impressive two games he has put together. Like Howard, we discuss whether or not he can put it all together and become one of the best running backs in the AFC, if not the NFL. Besides Howard and Drake, we spend time talking about the likes of Jay Cutler, Jarvis Landry, Kiko Alonso and more. As always, we take questions from Twitter and the Phinsider Radio mailbag. “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius Former NFL linebacker, Indianapolis Colt, and Superbowl champion Gary Brackett (@GaryBrackett58) is almost superhuman. After our conversation, I was convinced that he's not made of the same material as you and I. Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy mentions in the forward of Gary's book, Winning, that you might pass Gary in the supermarket, and not realize he's an NFL player. However, minutes into sitting down with him I realized he's much more than that. Inevitably, football came up as part of the conversation. I asked if he missed it and he raised his right hand pointing to a scar. Nervously, I asked where the scar came from to which he replied, "I broke it during the first half of the Super Bowl." As the story goes, after some tape, conditioning, and help from the training staff at halftime, he later went on to play the second half of that game- basically one handed. After talking with him for a few minutes, I realized this was his mantra. This is just another example of his grit. For those who don't know him, Gary was a walk-on to the Rutgers University football team. By his senior year of college he was captain of the defensive team and was awarded the team’s defensive MVP honors award. He went on to winning this award twice-a feat only attained by one other alumni at the school. In 2003, he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. Three years later, he was named the team’s defensive captain and brought the Indianapolis Colts to a title championship in 2007. He was also named the AFC Defensive Player-of-the-week twice. However, what's truly impressive is Gary’s Impact Foundation which is based in Indianapolis and exists to make an impact on the lives of underserved and disenfranchised youth and families. With four major programs within the foundation: Impact Ready, Impact Works, Tender Heart, and Gary’s Locker more than 200,000 youth and families have been impacted by their work. Outside of his NFL career and work with the community, Gary is the CEO and Founder of the Brackett Restaurant Group being the co-owner of Georgia Reese's and Stacked Pickle. Gary was also named one of Indianapolis’s own Forty Under 40 by the Indianapolis Business Journal in 2016. In this episode, you’ll discover… The building blocks that led to Gary becoming a D-1 walk-on, NFL Starter, and eventual Super Bowl champion The value of having people to give perspective to "see outside the frame" His inspirational metaphor for when you feel like quitting His method to working with over 200,000 people within the IMPACT Foundation His pre-game ritual His prediction for his next twenty years after retiring from the NFL Links From the Episode: Winning: From Walk-On To Captain, In Football And Life By Gary Brackett Gary's Locker IMPACT Foundation Stacked Pickle Georgia Reese's Southern Cuisine The Shepherd Community College Mentors for Kids Indianapolis Colts Follow Gary Brackett on Twitter Those Mentioned: Tony Dungy Gary Brackett
