With US presidential election campaigns in full swing, we thought it prudent to revisit what this year could mean for the municipal bond market in terms of heightened risks -- and even some scenarios where it would benefit. Though past election years have returned more wins than losses for munis, macroeconomic issues accompanying the election will remain a hurdle. To discuss possible threats and the latest federal income-tax developments, hosts Eric Kazatsky and Karen Altamirano are joined by Andrew Silverman and Nathan Dean from Bloomberg Intelligence.
With the election year well on its way, peak partisanship and geopolitical volatility may mean increased risk for municipal bond markets. Though past election years have returned more wins than losses for munis, macro issues will continue to be a hurdle. To discuss these possible threats and the latest federal income-tax developments, we have Bloomberg Intelligence's tax policy expert, Andrew Silverman, joining co-hosts Eric Kazatsky and Karen Altamirano of BI.

On this month's episode of Future Tense Fiction, host Maddie Stone talks to Andrew Silverman about his short story “Furgen.” Tucker, the story's canine protagonist, is the center of his owner Caro's world. When Caro buys an A.I.-enabled dog trainer that promises to help both her and Tucker live their best lives, everything starts to fall into place—the A.I. takes care of Tucker when he's sick, trains him to walk without a leash, and even helps Caro get a girlfriend. But as Tucker's bond with the A.I. deepens, optimizing for their best lives starts to mean something much different than what Caro originally had in mind. After the story, Maddie asks Andrew about how his own experiences as a dog owner—and a pediatric neurologist—influenced the story. Plus, Maddie talks with canine behavioral scientist Clive Wynne, who wrote a response essay to Andrew's story, about whether a dog could really fall in love with a robot. Guests: Andrew Silverman is a pediatric neurologist and the author of “Furgen.” Clive Wynne is a professor of psychology and director of the Canine Science Collaboratory at Arizona State University. Though never popular with neighboring state officials, New York's tax on the income of out-of-state residents working for Empire state companies is being scrutinized more closely. A post-pandemic shift to remote work — as a choice by either the employee or employer — has meant that many former commuters rarely if ever set foot in a New York workplace. There are winners and losers in the current situation and billions of dollars at stake. Officials in both New Jersey and Connecticut have recently revived efforts to keep their resident's income taxes within their own borders regardless of where the person works. New York isn't expected to relinquish these revenues without a fight. The state got roughly 17% of its income tax revenue from non-residents in fiscal 2020. On this episode of Talking Tax, our weekly podcast, podcast producer David Schultz talks with Andrew Silverman, a tax policy analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence, about the particular dynamics of the tri-state region. Silverman also examines why the US Supreme Court opted not to weigh in on a similar challenge by New Hampshire to end a Massachusetts commuter tax in 2016, how remote work impacts what's called the "convenience-of-the-employer" rule, and why this disagreement between a number of states will be up to the high court resolve. With recent advances in biotechnology and cybernetics, we are hurtling faster than ever before into what Nigel calls 'Sim Card Man.' Could it be that the Grey aliens that are a feature of almost all abduction experiences may themselves be the final product of a civilization at another location in the universe achieving this stage of technological advancement to its acme. Could this civilization have transformed its own natural bodies through artificial implants into bio-mechanical entities? It was recently revealed that scientists in the US have succeeded in developing the first living cell to be controlled entirely by synthetic DNA. Nigel suggests that the Greys themselves may have been made in this way as synthetic copies of their creators but fortified with an inorganic chemistry to allow for the kind of space travel beyond the speed of light necessary to reach other life forms in the universe. Could our cells act as their host mechanism for their synthetic DNA just as a bacterial cell was the host for the synthetic DNA produced by our own scientists? Could the Greys have been the final product of a civilization that sought to avoid death in this way? Could they be the epitome, in other words, of artificial intelligence? Abductees have commented on the blank, emotionless faces of the greys as they carry out painful procedures on them. It is as though we are laboratory rats to them. There is no sympathy but no cruelty either. They are like biological robots perhaps programmed to preserve the identity of their creators for eternity, carrying their DNA and cloning and re-cloning it in an attempt to reconstruct the original program. Owing to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, otherwise known as entropy, all matter is subject to increasing states of breakdown and decay. The DNA held by the Greys would be breaking down with each cloning and re-cloning. However, to refresh their sample would not be simple. Human DNA, for example, is likely to be very different from their samples. The only way they could make use of our DNA would be a hybridization process, converting us to be more like them. - www.nigelkerner.com******************************************************************To listen to all our XZBN shows, with our compliments go to: https://www.spreaker.com/user/xzoneradiotv*** AND NOW ***The ‘X' Chronicles Newspaper - www.xchroniclesnewpaper.com
J talks with leading scientific expert on the Shroud of Turin and author, Dr. Andrew Silverman; a medical doctor with a background in physics. For over thirty years, Dr. Silverman has been integrating scientific research on quantum mechanics, the mind-matter continuum, near-death experiences, and the Shroud. • They talk about everything from collaboration with other major scientists from around the world to solve the riddle of the Shroud and how the image was formed, to the evidence to support consciousness being fundamental and not merely a product of matter, consciousness transcending the body and more. Dr. Andrew Silverman has presented papers to the Scientific and Medical Network and the Society for Scientific Exploration, been featured on Coast To Coast, and more. • You can find Dr. Silverman at https://www.andrewsilverman.co.uk/ (https://www.andrewsilverman.co.uk) and his book at https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Andrew-Silverman/e/B085LVMRXD (https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Andrew-Silverman/e/B085LVMRXD) • And be sure to find us: https://linktr.ee/itd.jcosta (https://linktr.ee/itd.jcosta)

Provides evidence that human consciousness can never be reproduced and exposes the perils of artificial intelligence• Explains how consciousness transcends the brain and body through quantum theory and accounts of consciousness in the clinically dead• Shares scientific evidence of how the image on the Shroud of Turin was produced and connects these findings to evidence concerning near-death experiences• Reveals how consciousness cannot be reproduced by a machine and how attempts to do so threaten what makes us humanStephen Hawking once said that the unanticipated consequences of artificial intelligence will be the greatest threat to humanity's survival. In this book, Dr. Andrew Silverman reveals why the powerful consciousness of the human mind could never be manufactured and so cannot be reproduced with technology.Integrating extensive scientific research from three seemingly unrelated fields of study--quantum mechanics, near-death experiences, and the Shroud of Turin--Silverman reveals the pitfalls and perils of artificial intelligence and addresses the fundamentally flawed thinking that underlies it. Drawing on his work as one of the leading experts on the Shroud of Turin as well as research by scientists from NASA and Los Alamos, he shows how the image on the Shroud could only have been produced by a flash of light as intense as a nuclear explosion--a burst of light that occurred after the body was in the tomb. Sharing medical evidence of consciousness in people declared clinically dead, the author shows how the light of consciousness evidenced by the Shroud is also a consistent feature of most near-death experiences.Exploring the non-local nature of consciousness--how it transcends the physical brain and body, Silverman explains why the human mind cannot be reduced to a computer and examines what separates sentient beings from machines. He shows how getting caught up in the push for artificial intelligence and the technological quest for immortality--through the attempt to “download” our minds onto computers--will only lead us to devalue and erase what makes us unique and irreplaceable in this cold, dark universe: our humanity.Recognized as a leading scientific expert on the Shroud of Turin, Dr. Andrew Silverman is a medical doctor with a background in physics. For over thirty years, he has been conducting research on the mind-matter continuum, near-death experiences, and the Shroud. He has presented his findings in peer-reviewed scientific papers and at international scientific conferences. He lives in Buckinghamshire, England.

Grey Aliens and the Harvesting of Souls - The Shroud of Turin Connection - Dr Andrew Silverman is a medical doctor who has been interested since childhood in the nature of what we are as human beings and what our potential is.He first became aware of the Turin Shroud on seeing a life-size photographic print of it at Nigel Kerner's house around 30 years ago. Dr Silverman has always been fascinated to know how the image could have formed and when he spoke to Nigel Kerner about it many years ago he explained his theory to him that light is frozen thought and matter is frozen light. Kerner also postulated that human transfiguration into light was a consequence of living a life as suggested and shown by the man whose image is on the shroud. Dr.Silverman gave a presentation in May this year at a scientific workshop in Frascati Italy discussing his and Nigel Kerner's ideas about the Shroud of Turin and how the image might have been formed. Dr. Silverman's full Paper will be published soon in the Proceedings of the Workshop: but here is the link to the abstract: http://www.acheiropoietos.info/abstracts/talks-for-tex-phi.html#philosophy - www.nigelkerner.com

Provides evidence that human consciousness can never be reproduced and exposes the perils of artificial intelligence • Explains how consciousness transcends the brain and body through quantum theory and accounts of consciousness in the clinically dead • Shares scientific evidence of how the image on the Shroud of Turin was produced and connects these findings to evidence concerning near-death experiences • Reveals how consciousness cannot be reproduced by a machine and how attempts to do so threaten what makes us human Integrating extensive scientific research from three seemingly unrelated fields of study--quantum mechanics, near-death experiences, and the Shroud of Turin--Silverman reveals the pitfalls and perils of artificial intelligence and addresses the fundamentally flawed thinking that underlies it. Sharing medical evidence of consciousness in people declared clinically dead, the author shows how the light of consciousness evidenced by the Shroud is also a consistent feature of most near-death experiences. Exploring the non-local nature of consciousness--how it transcends the physical brain and body, Silverman explains why the human mind cannot be reduced to a computer and examines what separates sentient beings from machines. He shows how getting caught up in the push for artificial intelligence and the technological quest for immortality--through the attempt to “download” our minds onto computers--will only lead us to devalue and erase what makes us unique and irreplaceable in this cold, dark universe: our humanity.

DR. ANDREW SILVERMAN joins us to discuss his latest publication "A Burst of Conscious Light." He will be discussing his application of quantum physics in analyzing the Shroud. A shroud is documented in the Gospels, but is the Shroud the same one Joseph of Arimathaea used to wrap the body of Jesus? What about the rumors that it was painted by Leonardo? There are minute details that must be brought into the discussion, and we will cover them. Perhaps, some of Jesus' parables lend credence to the Shroud's authenticity. During an era when science and religion are exclusive of each other, perhaps, the Shroud proves that science and religion can be the same. We will get into the evidence that the Shroud is evidence of a near death experience and reincarnation. You will not want to miss this show.
The Shroud of Turin Andrew Silverman is a medical doctor with a background in physiology and has been interested from an early age in the nature of what we are as human beings and what our potential is.
My guests are: author NIGEL KERNER ("Grey Aliens and the Harvesting of Souls") and author Andrew Silverman ("Shroud Of Turin"), plus actress Michelle Clunie ("Queer As Folk"). To hear this show: http://www.latalkradio.com/Sheena.php For more info: http://www.sheenametalexperience.com
Tonight on Whispers we welcome Nigel Kerner and Monica Holy to the show. Nigel Kerner is the author of two books: Grey Aliens and the Harvesting of Souls and The Song of the Greys. His new book exposes the agenda behind the bio-robotic grey aliens' genetic manipulation of certain human races, reveals the Grey's nature as sophisticated self-aware machines created by a long vanished extraterrestrial civilization and explains how their quest to capture human souls appears in the historical record from biblical times. He will be joined by his colleagues Dr. Andrew Silverman, a medical doctor who presented Nigel's thesis about the mechanism of image formation on the Shroud of Turin at a recent scientific conference in Frascati, Rome, and John Biggerstaff, who is Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Tennessee. Monica Holy is an artist, psychic medium, spirit guide, and mother of two. She has worked in animation, photography, and typography for film and television. For most of her life, she has kept her psychic and spiritual life a secret. She feels the time is right to share her story in hopes that it will help others understand their own journey through life. Fringe Dweller on the Nightshift:True Stories from an Afterlife Paramedic, is a recounting of Monica's personal experience as a medium and lucid dreamer. It is, in effect, an insider's look at the Other Side from the Other Side. We will discuss her experiences and why she calls herself an "afterlife paramedic."
