POPULARITY
Cenacle spirituality refers to the collaborative and prayerful attitude of the Apostles in the Upper Room awaiting Pentecost and how modern church ministries and emulate that same posture in their operations. In this episode of On Mission, Chris Pierno, Sarah Scalfaro, and Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C. discuss how parish ministries and non-profits can adopt the prayerful and collaborative approach of the Apostles in making their own decisions as an organization. The Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary gathered in the Cenacle, or Upper Room, to collaborate with each other and the Holy Spirit as they made decision and implemented their actions. This model of prayer and collaboration in union with the Holy Spirit should be emulated at all levels of the Church today, including within parish ministries. There are seven keys to effective Christ-centered collaboration in the Church: 1) Christ—we must recognize that Christ is the center of all that we do, 2) Cenacle—referring to how the Apostles and the Blessed Mother Mary gathered in prayer, discernment, and action, 3) Communio—communion is the core of collaboration and provides the sense of togetherness, 4) Cooperation—we must work together to understand perspectives and care for those in need, 5) Communication—effective communication ensures that collaboration moves efficiently and effectively to achieve the ministerial goals, 6) Compassion—when things don't go according to plan, ensure that those involved in the work of the ministry are cared for with charity as well, 7) Co-responsibility—we all share in the mission of Christ and his church, it is each of our roles to preach the Gospel. Co-responsibility is the understanding that the baptized uniquely and collectively share in Christ's mission to share the Good News. Listen to Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C share more in this segment of the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, about sharing collectively in Christ's mission with those we are in ministry with. "At the same time, in the life of the Church, mission is closely linked to communion. While the mystery of Christmas celebrates the mission of the Son of God among us, it also contemplates its purpose, namely that God has reconciled the world to himself through Christ (cf. 2 Cor 5:19) and in him made us his children. Christmas reminds us that Jesus came to reveal the true face of God as Father, so that we might all become his children and therefore brothers and sisters to one another. The Father's love, embodied and revealed by Jesus in his liberating actions and preaching, enables us, in the Holy Spirit, to be a sign of a new humanity — no longer founded on selfishness and individualism, but on mutual love and solidarity. This task is urgent both ad intra and ad extra. It is urgent ad intra, because communion in the Church always remains a challenge that calls us to conversion. At times, beneath an apparent calm, forces of division may be at play. We can fall into the temptation of swinging between two opposite extremes: uniformity that fails to value differences, or the exacerbation of differences and viewpoints instead of seeking communion. Thus, in interpersonal relationships, in internal office dynamics, or in addressing questions of faith, liturgy, morality and more besides, there is a risk of falling into rigidity or ideology, with their consequent conflicts. Yet we are the Church of Christ, his members, his body. We are brothers and sisters in him. And in Christ, though many and diverse, we are one: In Illo uno unum. We are called, especially here in the Curia, to be builders of Christ's communion, which is to take shape in a synodal Church where all cooperate in the same mission, each according to his or her charism and role. This communion is built not so much through words and documents as through concrete gestures and attitudes that ought to appear in our daily lives, including in our work." ~ quote from Pope Leo XIV: https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/speeches/2025/december/documents/20251222-curia-romana.html There are seven keys to effective Christ-centered collaboration in the Church: 1) Christ—we must recognize that Christ is the center of all that we do, 2) Cenacle—referring to how the Apostles and the Blessed Mother Mary gathered in prayer, discernment, and action, 3) Communio—communion is the core of collaboration and provides the sense of togetherness, 4) Cooperation—we must work together to understand perspectives and care for those in need, 5) Communication—effective communication ensures that collaboration moves efficiently and effectively to achieve the ministerial goals, 6) Compassion—when things don't go according to plan, ensure that those involved in the work of the ministry are cared for with charity as well, 7) Co-responsibility—we all share in the mission of Christ and his church, it is each of our roles to preach the Gospel. "I'm a miracle healing. I am a living testimony of Medjugorje. I was healed there." ---------- Elizabeth and I just returned from two and a half weeks of incredible pilgrimages — first with some of our Touched by Heaven listeners in Medjugorje, and then with our parish in Italy. I literally just walked in the door, and what better time to revisit one of our most powerful miracle stories? In this episode, we go back to Episode 149 and the unforgettable story of Sandra and her miraculous healing of pituitary cancer in Medjugorje. When Sandra and her sister first visited, they wondered if people were faking the spiritual experiences they kept hearing about. But then, everything changed — they began to see what others were seeing, and soon after, God granted Sandra an impossible, life-changing healing. This is one of many miracles that have touched hearts in Medjugorje. Let's revisit this powerful testimony of faith, healing, and the presence of Heaven on Earth. Pentecost celebrates the moment the Holy Spirit descended upon the Blessed Mother Mary and the disciples in the Upper Room, giving them the courage to proclaim the Gospel to all they encountered. Pentecost is the birthday of the Church and Mary's is known as the Mother of the Church. Listen to Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C share more in this segment from the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, in his reflection on Pope Francis' Bull of Indiction for the Jubilee Year, Spes Non Confundit.24. Hope finds its supreme witness in the Mother of God. In the Blessed Virgin, we see that hope is not naive optimism but a gift of grace amid the realities of life. Like every mother, whenever Mary looked at her Son, she thought of his future. Surely she kept pondering in her heart the words spoken to her in the Temple by the elderly Simeon: “This child is destined for the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be opposed, so that the inner thoughts of many will be revealed – and a sword will pierce your own soul too” (Lk 2:34-35). At the foot of the cross, she witnessed the passion and death of Jesus, her innocent son. Overwhelmed with grief, she nonetheless renewed her “fiat”, never abandoning her hope and trust in God. In this way, Mary cooperated for our sake in the fulfilment of all that her Son had foretold in announcing that he would have to “undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again” (Mk 8:31). In the travail of that sorrow, offered in love, Mary became our Mother, the Mother of Hope. It is not by chance that popular piety continues to invoke the Blessed Virgin as Stella Maris, a title that bespeaks the sure hope that, amid the tempests of this life, the Mother of God comes to our aid, sustains us and encourages us to persevere in hope and trust. In this regard, I would note that the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City is preparing to celebrate, in 2031, the fifth centenary of Our Lady's first apparition. Through Juan Diego, the Mother of God brought a revolutionary message of hope that she continues to bring to every pilgrim and all the faithful: “Am I not here, who am your Mother?” [20] That message continues to touch hearts in the many Marian shrines throughout the world, where countless pilgrims commend to the holy Mother of God their cares, their sorrows and their hopes. During the Jubilee Year, may these shrines be sacred places of welcome and privileged spaces for the rebirth of hope. I encourage all pilgrims to Rome to spend time in prayer in the Marian shrines of the City, in order to venerate the Blessed Mother and to implore her protection. I am confident that everyone, especially the suffering and those most in need, will come to know the closeness of Mary, the most affectionate of mothers, who never abandons her children and who, for the holy people of God, is “a sign of certain hope and comfort”. One week after the climax of our faith was celebrated at Easter, we are given this great feast that is centered around forgiveness, showing compassion to others and being the light in a darkened world. During this episode we discuss the life of Christ, how the Blessed Mother Mary and even the disciples were both drivers and recipients of God's merciful love. We then explore some stories from my journey and how Jesus shows us true mercy sometimes in the least expected places. The Lord's example is ripe for mercy in the Gospel's and the same can be said in our lives when we look back. Now he is calling us to elicit the corporal works of mercy and to be agents for change by casting out that net of love in a world that needs transformation.Check out other episodes of the LIFE to the FULLEST podcast and great content on @ef3life on social media. Friends of the Rosary, Today, January 19, Second Sunday in Ordinary Times, the Gospel's central reading (John 2:1-12) presents us the episode of the Wedding at Cana, Christ's first public miracle, his approval of marriage, and the intercessory power of the Blessed Mother Mary. Overall, we see the goodness and kindness of Christ granting the newly married groom an earthly gift by converting water into wine and saving them from public embarrassment. By this kind act, Jesus shows us that he is also interested in our worldly affairs during our journey to heaven. The miracle at Cana had other effects, like proving to his very recent disciples that he was the expected Messiah and also convincing all Christians of the efficacy of our Lady's intercession. Christ is telling us, "Ask, and you shall receive." It means that our prayers, with the right petitioning of spiritual and temporal requests, will be answered, as the miracle of Cana proves. We have a Father in Heaven who loves and cares for us, so let us make our temporal and spiritual needs known to him in confident prayer. Our requests will not go unanswered. Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You! Come, Holy Spirit, come! Just a few days away from Christmas, we meditate on The Visitation between Blessed Mother Mary and St. Elizabeth. (Lk 1:39-45) In the miraculous revelations given to St. Elizabeth in this encounter with Mary and Jesus, we find prophetic encouragement for our final days of Advent prayer prior to entering into the mystery of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hi! Trapper Jack here. Did you know there is a cosmology crisis? I thought those were the people who do hair and makeup. I have a couple of links here in the show notes to videos that speak to this crisis. There is enough evidence to believe that God has placed us in the middle of the entire universe. Doesn't that just sound crazy! Listen to my explanation, then take a look, and listen to those brainiacs who actually understand this stuff. It's truly fascinating! After that, Matt and Veronica join me for an interesting look at a recent dream Veronica had. If it's prophetic, it's a bit scary but also reassuring of upcoming events. See what you think. Is this a dream about our country, our church or what? Enjoy the podcast! Hey there! Trapper here. Apparently, it's time to don my football referee uniform and do a prophetic thing. I'm not the prophet here, just the messenger. Last fall, I was given a dream in which I saw a referee running for a touchdown. Then, I heard the word, 'impartiality.' The key to a good ref is that he is impartial. There is to be no rooting for one side or the other. It's a case of, 'just the facts ma'am.' A few days ago, a friend sent me a video which had the latest prophecy from a woman born in Costa Rica and currently living in Argentina. She has the wounds of Christ on her body, the stigmata. There are many within the church clergy who believe that the messages she receives are true. I'm the ref, I don't know. What got my attention was while watching the YouTube video, at about six minutes into the video, I silently asked Jesus in prayer, 'Is this prophecy something I should be paying attention to?' There are so many supposed visionaries out there, and it seems to me, most are uttering false prophecies. Immediately following my prayer by about 0.5 seconds, the alleged words of Our Lady blew me away. I would rather you hear those words than read them here. You will understand. So, again, I don't know if the prophecy is correct, all I know is that this video got my attention in a special way. But her prophecy includes things like a war involving the U.S., more viruses, tsunamis, and huge earthquakes. It's the kind of stuff that's easy to verify over time. Enjoy the podcast! Hi! Trapper Jack here. Happy birthday Mary! The mother of our Lord is about 2038 years old and doesn't look a day over 1873. How does she do it!? I have a very special devotion to the mother of Jesus, since all the signs indicate that she was the one to come after me. She is the one who turned me back to God some 25 years ago. September 8th is the traditional day that we celebrate Mary's birthday. It also was the day five years ago that I was asked to give a talk about Mary, on her birthday. One of the stories that I told was what had happened just two days before her special day. My wife, Elizabeth, and I were in Eucharistic adoration at our church. Sitting before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is not supposed to be a time to take a nap, but I did. During the snooze, I had a very special dream that was delivering a message to me. As you will hear in this episode, the dream inspired me to learn more about Mary, church history, the Bible, etc. The dream told me to strip away the ignorance that I had about all the above. Mary's message to me included the same message that she had delivered to all of us 2000 years ago at the wedding feast of Cana. 'Do whatever he tells you.' So, here is my birthday present to our Lady. It is a reminder of where we have been, where we are now, and where we are going. Enjoy the podcast! First question, what's going on with Medjugorje? A sad and concerned Blessed Mother Mary is calling for more rosaries to be prayed for world peace. Is a world war looming? Is this symbolized by her shifting her apparitions to just before midnight? Why, for nine days, were her apparitions to be on Apparition Hill? Second question, what does TBH do with all of this, this week? Two questions, two songs bubbling up in Trapper's head. But, just one answer. • The Audio Podcast of this Rosary is Available Here Now! Friends of the Rosary, St. Joseph has two feast days on the liturgical calendar. The first is March 19—Joseph, the Saint Husband of Mary. The second is May 1—Joseph, the Worker. Today, the Holy Catholic Church presents us the example of Saint Joseph the Worker to all laborers. This is a feast day established by Pope Pius XII in 1955 to Christianize the concept of labor and give all workmen a model and a protector. The husband of the Blessed Mother Mary offered to God his daily labor as a carpenter with patience and joy. St. Joseph provided for the necessities of Mary and Jesus. Another Pope, Leo XIII, wrote wisely: "Workmen and all those laboring in conditions of poverty will have reasons to rejoice rather than grieve, since they have in common with the Holy Family daily preoccupations and cares" Pope John Paul II said, "Saint Joseph is a man of great spirit. He is great in faith, not because he speaks his own words, but above all because he listens to the words of the Living God. He listens in silence. And his heart ceaselessly perseveres in the readiness to accept the Truth contained in the word of the Living God." Joseph was a compassionate man, and obedient to the will of God. He is the patron of many things, including the universal Church, fathers, the dying, and social justice. Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!St. Joseph, Pray for Us! To Jesus through Mary! Does the junction of three people's experiences give validation to this Marian prophecy? ------------------------------------------------------------------------
With Delight I Rejoice in the Lord: The Birth of Our Blessed Mother Mary The Gospel tells us of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, as well as the details on the birth of Christ. Before the Gospel, the chant repeated includes the verse: With delight I rejoice in the Lord. This is a strange verse, since much of the world's joy, does not include delight. What really does that mean? On this day, the Cause of Our Joy, and the delight, is the birth of she who is the Mother of Jesus Christ. We do not simple rejoice in the birth of Mary. We rejoice in the birth of the Mother of Jesus Christ! This is a remarkable mystery. Hear more within the Homily! Listen to this Meditation Media. Editor's Note: Go to the QoAH's website to read more about the uniqueness of this painting.

Friends of the Rosary: "Take courage, for I have conquered the world," Lord Jesus told the disciples, as we read today in the Scriptures (Jn 16:29-33). The Evil One seems to be reigning in the world with snares and tricks, given what we see in the news and around us, in our families and communities. The Father of Lies never rests in his goal of devouring souls and making people miserable. But we are people of God, and in Him, we find peace. Jesus is the good shepherd, and we lack nothing when we trust in Him. Our sinful nature in a fallen world results in a lack of wisdom and knowledge. We invoke the Blessed Mother Mary to bring us to her divine Son by praying today's Joyful Mysteries. Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You! + Mikel A. | RosaryNetwork.com, New York • May 22, 2023, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET
