He held Auburn's record for 3 pointers in a season for two decades, until 2019. Bryce Brown took care of that. Lance Weems came to Auburn as a sharpshooter out of Clay County High School in Ashland, Alabama. He played for his father in high school, Hall of Famer Jerry Weems. Before coming to the Plains, the Weems connection won back to back Alabama State Championships. At Auburn he played for the late Tommy Joe Eagles and Cliff Ellis. By the time he was done, Weems held the Auburn record for three pointers in a game and a season. Lance was part of the Home Court Series featuring his former teammate and current assistant coach Wes Flanigan. That conversation is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast, presented by Wickles Pickles
Through the COVID Pandemic, War Eagle Productions, with assistance from Cody Voga has released a series of video interviews with former Auburn Basketball players. The series is called Home Court. You can find these videos at Watch Now tab of AuburnTigers.com We have been asked to release these in a podcast form and this is the second of that series. Former Tiger and current Assistant Coach Wes Flanigan co-hosts these interviews with Andy Burcham. Bryce Brown and Jared Harper were in the midst of their first seasons of professional ball when COVID shut everything down. Both were key parts of the SEC Championship team in 2018, plus the SEC Tournament Champions and the Final Four team in 2019. Bryce left Auburn as the school's most prolific three point shooter. Jared was arguably this school's greatest point guard. Bryce Brown & Jared Harper are featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast, presented by Wickles Pickles.

Recruiting is heating up for Auburn basketball fresh off its run to the Final Four, and two recent developments might lead the Tigers to immediate contention for a title once again. Yes, even without its two leading scorers (Bryce Brown and Jared Harper) in the lineup, the Tigers could have the talent to be a force in the SEC next season. Auburn Undercover editor Brandon Marcello discusses the perfect scenario that might be developing behind the scenes, and how it's possible the Tigers could find the immediate answers on the recruiting trail. We also welcome 247Sports national basketball analyst Evan Daniels to discuss Auburn's Final Four run and how it affects recruiting, particularly the recent targeting of graduate transfer Rayjon Tucker. Does Evan believe the Tigers can be a consistent threat in the SEC? Brandon also answers fan questions, which feature plenty of football talk. No, this isn't quite yet a basketball-only podcast. Brandon Marcello and Phillip Marshall are back from covering Auburn's incredible run in the Final Four, and they're wondering what would have happened had the referees not stepped into the spotlight during the national semifinal against Virginia in the final seconds. Auburn Undercover's Keith Niebuhr steps in to host the newest episode of the podcast as we discuss the controversial ending to the Tigers' season, and why we believe they would have won a national championship had the right calls been made by the referees in the final seconds. The guys also discuss what's next for Auburn as the Tigers try to replace seniors Bryce Brown, Horace Spencer and Malik Dunbar, and junior point guard Jared Harper, who announced Tuesday he will leave school after the spring semester to pursue the NBA. Harper and Brown formed the best backcourt in ages at Auburn, so what's next for the Tigers as they lose their assists leader and the No. 1 three-point shooter in school history? The guys discuss that, the recruiting class and so much more as they reflect on an incredible postseason run led by coach Bruce Pearl and what's on the horizon in the coming years for the Auburn basketball program. Both are solid free throw shooters. 6-8 forward Chuma Okeke is a future NBA talent and an outstanding defender. His dunks are also spectacular. The Seahawks made their final trip to the east coast for the regular season and as the playoff picture begins to take shape, it looks like they'll be heading back that way to start the postseason. Seattle gets another blowout victory defeating the Ravens 35-6. But it comes with a cost as rookie Thomas Rawls goes down to injury and is out for the rest of the season. The guys take a look at the running back situation. Fortunately Marshawn Lynch is set to return, maybe in time for the playoffs to start. Until then Bryce Brown will see some action after jumping on and off the roster and now Christine Michael is also returning to the team. But is there much concern about the running game with Russell Wilson playing the way he is and playing at a level never seen before in NFL history. The guys open up the mailbag in the second half of the show and have a conversation around momentum, a tour fans have to see if they're coming in from out of town for a game, and a review from Italy. Do better nods go to the NFL for changing how officials will review potential penalties in the postseason and the infamous Pete Prisco. Better at life honors go to the Browns organization for a personnel decision and a sideline reporter for reaching a big milestone. iTunes | Stitcher | TuneIn | Facebook | Twitter | RSS Call or text: 253-235-9041Email: gohawks@seahawkerspodcast.comVisit Patreon.com if you'd like to help support the show and get bonus contentDownload our free Amazon app, Android app, or iOS app Find Sea Hawkers clubs around the world at SeaHawkers.orgMusic from the show by The 12 Train, download each track at ReverbNation
