All the prophets spoke of this time. All efforts of the Church age is directed at preparing the Bride. In the acceptable year, a thousand seasons collide in one. The eyes of heavens saints lean into the earth. In the acceptable year, the Bride of Christ is ready. Purity fills the house. The offering of clean hands and pure hearts. Holy Fire is released. The chains of oppression are broken.. The blind see, the lame walk free. This is the year of Jubilee. The day of the Lord's favour. The day of the vengeance of our God. The Bride of Christ and the Holy Spirit are ready. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
Let love prevail, freedom shine through and integrated healing unfold.

What we do is what we become. Christians replace cultural habits we've imbibed with spiritual habits we intentionally embrace. As we continue our exploration of the Book of Leviticus, we delve into the story of Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, exploring themes of obedience and faithfulness. We'll also journey to the New Testament in Acts 16, where the Apostle Paul's encounters reveal the power of the Holy Spirit. Join us as we uncover the lessons these scriptures hold for us today, emphasizing the importance of living in the life-giving fire of God's presence rather than succumbing to the desire for control. Together, we'll open our hearts to experience the joy and peace found in the Holy Spirit, reflecting on how this divine gift transforms us from within. So grab your Bible, find a quiet space, and let's dive into today's reading, seeking to draw closer to Jesus and to one another in faith. Stay tuned for an inspiring time of scripture, reflection, and prayer. Remember, you are loved. TODAY'S DEVOTION: In Leviticus today, we hear about Aaron's sons, Nadab, and Abihu, priests to the Lord. They conjure up some strange fire. They put some coals of fire on their incense burners and sprinkle the incense over them. In this way, they are making some strange fire. This is not the prescribed way. This was their way. They were trying to conjure up something new, perhaps. Perhaps they were trying to manipulate or control this fire to grant them fortune or power or honor. It was about control, and this strange fire ended up consuming them. We're told that they were judged because of it. They were consumed by fire. Fire blazed forth from the Lord's presence and burned them up. They died before the Lord. In the Acts reading today, we read of a different kind of fire. We see the Holy Spirit descend in tongues of fire. This is a fire that is bestowed on us and received, not manipulated. It is given to us not through our own efforts or designs. Instead, it descends upon us. It's a gift. It seems like all of us in some way want to work with strange fire and gain control on our own. It's no different now than it was in the book of acts. The slave owners in Acts 16 have a girl that tells fortunes. This is strange fire. The political leaders in town who wanted to pacify the mob were playing with strange fire. The jailer who drew his sword to kill himself for fear of his own execution, this too is strange fire. Strange fire is all about wanting to control and manipulate to ensure our future and get what we want. Whether it's fortune, power, or honor, we all want to make strange fire to get these things. Our strategies may appear to work for a while, but in the end, like Nadab and Abihu, it doubles back and ends up consuming us in the end. There are two kinds of fire. One is strange and will ultimately consume us. It is fueled by the desire to control and manipulate, to get fortune and power and honor apart from God. The other kind is the fire of God's presence that's received as a gift. It is a purifying fire. What do we do for that? We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We say yes to him, to his life, to his fire. We give up control and our need to coerce. This life-giving fire dwells within us. It does not consume and kill us. Instead, it purifies us and births within us life. It creates within us something new and offers us true riches, true power, true honor, and all these things are a gift. It is the holy fire of God in us. Live and walk today in the reality of the fire that comes down from heaven. It is your life, the Holy Spirit, Christ in you. This gift has been bestowed on all of us. Live in this fire today, not trying to control and conjure up your own, but resting and receiving the fire of Christ's life and spirit, living, dwelling, and thriving in you. That's a prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family, for my friends, and for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. Have you been baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire? Have you allowed the fire to purify your heart?
Even for the most devout people of faith, the Holy Spirit can be mysterious and the least understood person of the Holy Trinity.Bible scholars point to Abrahamic religions, where the Holy Spirit has equal footing with God the father and the Son of God, who is Jesus.According to Acts 5:3-4, the Holy Spirit is considered to be fully God, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and the Son of God. The Holy Spirit is known to be the source of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.In John 14:26, the Holy Spirit is seen as our comforter, teaching people all things and allowing people to experience and witness its presence and power. In his latest book, “Fresh Oil, Holy Fire, New Wine: Living the Vibrant Holy Spirit-Filled Life”, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez challenges you to reconsider what you know and how to relate to the Holy Spirit. His desire is for you to discover how to align and unleash the promise, power, and purpose of the Holy Spirit in all areas of your life. In doing so, you will fully embrace a supernatural relationship through its almighty presence. Rev. Rodriguez joins us to talk about the most practical way you can describe the Holy Spirit to someone that won't scare them away. Listen as he shares why people struggle with supernatural filling over feeling and the major pitfalls in chasing feelings in worship.
Advent 2024: I Will Draw Near to You - Malachi 4:1-3 Tyler Willis This coming day when Jesus returns, and God's kingdom comes sounds amazing and it will be. It sounds miraculous, and it is. However, God is a Holy God. Our Father is perfect in everything, in every way, always. When he comes near sin, evil, unrighteousness…it is all consumed. And we are not holy! For those who fear Him, though, we do not stand alone. Our advocate, our mediator, our savior opens the palms of His hands to reveal his wounds. The wounds we deserved. And the Judge will declare us innocent. And we respond to this certainty of future grace with righteous living, renewed eyes for the lost, endurance to live in the here and now, and hope for the coming day of the Lord!

From Moses at the burning bush to Solomon's temple dedication, each fiery encounter reveals a divine pattern: God's fire follows an offering. This week, we'll dive into Acts 2 and explore how the Holy Spirit empowers individuals and unites the church to spread the gospel. Let's discover how Holy Fire ignites lives, builds unity, and sends us into the streets with the love of Christ.
Life can sometimes get heated when culture pressures us to conform to its standards. But together, we can stand firm and allow God to ignite a Holy Fire within us, rather than be thrown into a blazing furnace. Let's learn how we can trust God's power and purpose, even in life's toughest tests.

Luke 9:51-56; “Fire From Heaven” Our study today starts with a verse stating that Jesus “resolutely set out for Jerusalem.” Jesus was, without any hesitation, heading to Jerusalem, into the very city in which He knew He would suffer, be crucified and die. Knowing full well what was ahead - He resolutely - without hesitation - headed to Jerusalem. No shrinking back! Jesus was relentless in accomplishing what the Father desires. What does the Father desire? He desires that ALL come to know Him, His love, mercy, forgiveness and life transforming power. God's desire is that ALL people repent and come to a knowledge of Jesus our Savior. And so to follow through on God's heart, Jesus is relentless in pursuing the Father's will and relentless in His pursuit of each one of us. As we explore the next verses we read that the people in Samaria did not welcome Jesus because He was headed for Jerusalem, and they didn't like where He was going nor did they like the people in that city. Doesn't this make you wonder how many people have missed out on all Jesus has to offer because they are offended at something He has said, or done or something that the Bible declares. REJECTION: Jesus was rejected over and over again, by: 1. Israel's leaders 2. His own family 3. Samaritans How do we feel when we are rejected? Bitter? Angry? A desire to get even? Retaliate? The Samaritan's rejection of Jesus elicited this response from Jesus' disciples, James and John: “Lord, do You want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?” This is not what Jesus wanted and He rebuked them but there would be a day God would send fire from heaven and that was at Pentecost, 50 days after Jesus' ascension, when the Holy Spirit was poured out. On that day people in Samaria were filled with the Holy Spirit and drawn to the knowledge of Jesus the Messiah. Transformed. Changed forever! Gaining life, forgiveness, hope, peace, and joy. That is precisely what Jesus is still doing and desires to do today, to draw us to Himself, transform us from within and to give us joy and hope because He set His face toward Jerusalem and He went there for each one of US! Jesus rebuked James and John that day, but in the days to come He would also transform them. This is all taking place about 6 months before Jesus' death and resurrection and about 8 months before the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is determined to accomplish all the Father desires and He is still determined to do that today in each of our lives. His desire is to fill us with His Holy Spirit, to know Him and to show His incredible love in the way we treat others. Jesus is working to change the world one person at a time, beginning with you and me! There also is a lesson in not growing weary - maybe we are looking around and wondering how much longer the Lord will put up with all the garbage going on in the world. But then we see the testimony of Jesus' life and how much our Savior gave of himself to accomplish our salvation. When we see this we too are changed. We realize our attitudes change as well. What God calls us to do through the life and ministry and resurrection of Jesus, is to pray for a different kind of Fire. Holy Fire. The fire of the Holy Spirit! To forgive as we are forgiven in Christ. To love as we are loved in Christ. To serve as Christ has served us. God's heart is that people return to Him. God's heart is for Revival! Awakening! Send us a textIn this episode of Faithful Politics, Will Wright and Josh Burtram interview Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, a highly influential Christian leader, pastor, speaker, and civil rights activist. Rodriguez shares his insights on the moral, social, and political challenges facing America today. He emphasizes the increasing polarization in the country, comparing it to the Civil War era, and stresses the need for Christians to turn to the Holy Spirit for guidance and healing.Rodriguez also talks about his new book, Fresh Oil, Holy Fire, New Wine, which he describes as a biblical response to the current moral and political crises. He argues that despite the chaos, the Holy Spirit remains the most powerful force in America and that hope is not found in political parties, but in the spiritual battle between the forces of good and evil. Throughout the conversation, Rodriguez discusses his personal journey to faith and ministry, his belief in the power of the Holy Spirit, and the importance of humility and integrity. The episode also touches on various social issues, including racism, political partisanship in the church, and the challenges of navigating biblical truth in a complex world. He has been named among the “Top 100 Christian Leaders in America” (Newsmax 2018) and nominated as one of the “100 most influential people in the world” (TIME 2013). Rodriguez has advised Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump. He is the first Hispanic American to have participated in two different Presidential inauguration ceremonies. In 2009 he read from the gospel of Saint Luke at President Barack Obama's inaugural prayer service at St. John's Episcopal church and in 2017 on the Capitol steps before a global viewing audience, Pastor Sam, read and prayed from the gospel of Matthew, concluding with “in the name of Jesus”.He is the best-selling author of 12 books including “Be Light” “Persevere with Power” and “Your Mess, God's Miracle”. For this week's “Best of The Literary Life” series episode, we revisit a conversation about George Orwell's essay “Why I Write.” Angelina and Cindy kick off the discussion about how much they each identify with Orwell's description of his childhood. In his story of learning to write, we see many aspects of a good education, even his inclination to imitate other authors. An important point Angelina brings up is Orwell's own struggle against the calling he felt to write, in contrast to having an ambition to do so. Angelina brings up a related story about musician Gregory Alan Isakov, and Cindy reiterates the idea of why we need leisure in order to find our vocation. Cindy and Angelina also bring out some of the qualities Orwell possessed that make a good writer. Maturity as a human being and as a master of a craft are crucial to certain forms of writing, as Orwell points out about his own work. Other topics of conversation include truth-telling in writing, the motives for writing according to Orwell, and the growing process of writers. If you want to find replays of the 2019 Back to School online conference referenced in this episode, you can purchase them in Cindy's shop at MorningTimeforMoms.com. Commonplace Quotes: Never had she seen it so clearly as on this evening — what destiny had demanded of her and what it had given her in return with her seven sons. Over and over again joy had quickened the beat of her heart; fear on their behalf had rent it in two. They were her children, these big sons with their lean, bony, boy's bodies, just as they had been when they were small and so plump that they barely hurt themselves when they tumbled down on their way between the bench and her knee. They were hers, just as they had been back when she lifted them out of the cradle to her milk-filled breast and had to support their heads, which wobbled on their frail necks the way a bluebell nods on its stalk. Wherever they ended in the world, wherever they journeyed, forgetting their mother– she thought that for her, their lives would be like a current in her own life; they would be one with her, just as they had been when she alone on this earth knew about the new life hidden inside, drinking from her blood and making her cheeks pale. Sigrid Undset, from Kristen Lavransdatter Orwell was a poet who happened to find his medium in prose, a poet not so much in his means of expression as in the nature of his vision, which could strip the sprawling tangle of the world around him down to its core with the simplicity of a timeless flash of intuition. C. M. Wodehouse, from the introduction to Animal Farm Veni, Creator Spiritus by John Dryden Creator Spirit, by whose aid The world's foundations first were laid, Come, visit ev'ry pious mind; Come, pour thy joys on human kind; From sin, and sorrow set us free; And make thy temples worthy Thee. O, Source of uncreated Light, The Father's promis'd Paraclete! Thrice Holy Fount, thrice Holy Fire, Our hearts with heav'nly love inspire; Come, and thy Sacred Unction bring To sanctify us, while we sing! Plenteous of grace, descend from high, Rich in thy sev'n-fold energy! Thou strength of his Almighty Hand, Whose pow'r does heav'n and earth command: Proceeding Spirit, our Defence, Who do'st the gift of tongues dispence, And crown'st thy gift with eloquence! Refine and purge our earthly parts; But, oh, inflame and fire our hearts! Our frailties help, our vice control; Submit the senses to the soul; And when rebellious they are grown, Then, lay thy hand, and hold 'em down. Chase from our minds th' Infernal Foe; And peace, the fruit of love, bestow; And, lest our feet should step astray, Protect, and guide us in the way. Make us Eternal Truths receive, And practise, all that we believe: Give us thy self, that we may see The Father and the Son, by thee. Immortal honour, endless fame, Attend th' Almighty Father's name: The Saviour Son be glorified, Who for lost Man's redemption died: And equal adoration be, Eternal Paraclete, to thee.
