Hang onto your milk money, because we're celebrating National School Lunch Week with a Kornflake Cafeteria Quiz. (Would she eat a Tater Tot? We're still not sure...) Then it's time to dive into another issue of Dynamite, the magazine for weird kids of the 70s and 80s. And we're looking at a Dynamite from 1978 that was provided by our pal Chris from Sci-Fi Explosion! Alfred E. Neuman is on the cover, because the lead story is about the 25th anniversary of MAD magazine. (And yes, someone baked a nightmare-inducing Alfred E. Neuman birthday cake.) Also in this issue: The Dynamite Duo (you know, legendary superheroes Dawnstar and Nightglider), bizarre ways to ruin your bicycle, International Pickle Week, the zombie kites of Nantucket, Count Morbida's puzzle pages, Magic Wanda's awful magic tricks, advice for witches, Dynamite Bummers, and a horse. The city of Dawnstar is plagued with nightmares and people can't sleep! It's suspected to be the Daedric prince Vaermina so we venture to her temple to stop the nightmarends. But things go sideways when there is an interesting artifact up for grabs... and I want it!
We are taking the occasional bonus episode to embark on the Hearthfire DLC, build a house, and finally get everything organized! We have so many items on our person, in Breezehome, Proudspire Manor, and the Dawnstar sanctuary.
The End Game PvP Tier List for January is here! The the toon of the month is Dawnstar! (This is likely to change if her bug is fixed, but until then we are going off of how she is NOW). Lot of changes this month. Enjoy! Watch with video: YouTube: https://youtu.be/H0-MnV1x-ks Rumble: https://rumble.com/dclegends Audio Only: https://linktr.ee/WROLBroadcast End Game Tier List: Community Voted Tier List (thanks to Historic compiling): Vote on the community tier list by going to the Dojo Discord! https://discord.gg/M4Dojo Keep in mind these are the opinions of several Owls who regularly place in the top spots of Siege and PvP in all modes regularly. We base characters on their performance against top tier teams at max level. In some cases, depending on your gear levels, play style, and rank; certain characters may perform much better for you. Most of our scores are weighted heavily towards Siege play in the very top rankings. How the categories break out: S-Tier: More exclusive then before, the best of the best. Fit into almost any comp and is pretty much a roster requirement to compete in the highest levels of the game. A-Tier: Very solid characters. Characters that are either versatile or extremely good at their job and you will never regret gearing them. In this list are your counter characters and just all around great toons. B-Tier: These are "good" characters but sometimes need a team built around them or they compliment a specific team. There is often a superior option to them, but they are still pretty good depending on the situation. C-Tier: These characters are more situational. They also can be pretty "meh" characters most of the time, but can excel in a specific comp. Most probably need a rework to shine. T-Tier: This is your trash tier characters that desperately need a rework. F-tier! Toon of the Month: If you notice the glow around a character, he/she is the Siege toon of the month! This is a character that was extra special for the month and deserved some special recognition. _____________________________________________________________________________ Resources: Our Discord: https://discord.gg/m4dojo New Player Guide: https://youtu.be/70ed36-sVPk Hatemael's Legendary Order Guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uDmcPgUQUfbyjhKb1bBGFEqmVsN_thqf-5VyHPpvJI8/edit?usp=sharing The Court of Owls Master Tier List Spreadsheet version: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-13VDLLLG4SlzpbbV24LrQrXkxf6x9hnAzqZbmHYBQc/edit?usp=sharing Abcuts' amazing website: https://dcltoolkit.com/ Contact us: WROLBroadcast@gmail.com Twitter- WROLBroadcast _______________________________________________________________________________ Attribution: https://freesound.org/s/371517/ Synthetic Church Choir by Timbre https://freesound.org/s/352531/ Epic_Heroic_Orchestral_Dramatic.mp3 by SoundFlakes https://freesound.org/s/423499/ Dream (Epic Retro Synth Music).wav by bigmanjoe https://freesound.org/s/426669/ https://freesound.org/s/250164/ by Kwahmah_02 https://freesound.org/s/391828/ by zagi2 https://freesound.org/s/27451/ by acclivity https://freesound.org/s/96541/ by tim.kahn https://freesound.org/s/61322/ by mansardian https://freesound.org/s/437332/ by FullMetalJedi https://freesound.org/s/405564/ by Timbre https://freesound.org/s/218372/ by copyc4t

I’m writing from Asterope’s Dawnstar, a ship making south towards Merremouth. Among the passengers here is a knight who was present at the fall of Farndale, one of the first battles where the war beasts were used. She has given me some details of the beasts and how they were used. First there were vast bull-necked creatures three or four times the height of a horse, built more like an ox but far heavier and with hooked tusks in addition to their horns. The attack that broke the city began with huge grapples being fired from ballistas on the field, trailing long harpoon ropes. These were attached to a harness on three of these beasts, which set about attempting to pull the wall down. The defenders tried to cut the ropes but they were cunningly designed, built around smith-canted chains. The walls themselves proved too solid for the beasts attack, although my witness has heard reports of this tactic having brought down less solidly fortified towns, but before the ropes were cut, the handlers changed strategy, and had the beasts set off at speed around the city, the ropes sweeping along the walls, dragging the grapples behind them and causing mayhem among the defenders. As they came around the west side of the wall, a different kind of warbeast - something like a huge rhino with solid armour plates over its head and back and a blunt double-horn emerged from the enemy line and charged straight into the east gate like a living battering ram. It’s mass and power was such that the gate burst open and one of the gatehouse towers fell. The beast charged on into the town, followed by Icewatcher heavy troops and it’s own handlers. Most of the defenders were still trying to deal with the first attack and the town was quickly overrun. My witness was injured but managed to get herself out of the west gate with a handful of others fortunate enough to have fast mounts. She mentions that the dress of the beast’s handlers was quite different from the Icewatcher uniforms and armour - lighter, built of skins and beaded leather. She guesses that they came from further east - if they belong to the Sleidlar, then you might not be as distant from the war as we expected, perhaps the entire southern ice has mobilised. Be careful Bambari. -Saf
