In the episode of Rule the Galaxy Joe, Nick and Brent welcome special guest Marc Thompson to the show. Marc has a long and distinguished career in voice acting and has been THE voice of many Star Wars Audio Books. We discuss the Bad Batch...Wrecker going bad, the Return of Rex, the Dianoga and so much more. We love that Carla from Cheers plays Cid and the setting is a Bar where a Hammerhead and Weequay are like the Cliff and Norm. We are all so excited about the photos that have snuck out from the Kenobi series and that Saw and Krennic are going to be a part of Andor. We learn that Marc loves all the Star Wars work he has done but has a special place for: Dark Disciple, Heir to the Empire and the High Republic His favorite two characters are Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi We go deep into the weeds on how the Audio book recording process goes...such fun! Marc was not in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and he did a great Gilbert Gottfried-like character in A New Dawn!
Have you ever wondered how the Dianoga ended up in the trash compactor? Or why TK-421 was so bad has his job? Or perhaps you wanted many many stories about the cantina in Mos Eisley. If so From a Certain Point of View has you covered. 40 stories by 40 authors for the 40th anniversary of A New Hope. With that much going on they can't all be great, but when this book shines it really shines. There are actually quite a few gems here, and we brought on special guest Gary Mitchell to help us talk about our favorites. The Skywalker saga may be over, but there are enough books to keep Star Wars fans satisfied for years to come. Chad, Ryan, and Beth have started a series to keep you up to date on all the action. Episode Notes Hello there! Welcome back. This episode, we quit while we were ahead and moved on from X-Wing! We might read more someday but I'm gonna be honest the podcast was dying. Episode Notes Hello there! Welcome back. This episode, we stand with Tycho Celchu against a farce of a trial, negotiate for supplies, and make a daring escape from a super star destroyer buried underground on Coruscant. We get a visit from Luke Skywalker himself, and Corran takes his first steps into a larger world. A lot of stuff in this book doesn't actually matter, but hey! We learn who the traitor is! Antagonists are dealt with! A new plot lies on the horizon, and all we have to do to get there is go back ta war. This episode's wingmate is Dianoga 4, AKA Grace! Episode Notes Hello there! Welcome back. This episode, we're met with an impossible task: retake Coruscant, stay undercover, and remember the names of the characters in the book. Thankfully, we have the wiki to help with that. This book is also really concerned with things like whether or not it's okay to have a crush on an alien or how effective fascist propaganda is. American Splendor scene #18 (44:33 to 49:07) — Harvey takes Joyce to his apartment, where it is abundantly clear that he has a “serious problem with cleanliness.” Joyce shrugs if off, and they sit down on the couch and begin to get… intimate. Suddenly Joyce is overcome with a bout of nausea and vomiting. A concerned Harvey offers her chamomile tea. Charmed, Joyce suggests they “skip the whole courtship thing and get married”! An extended discussion of disgusting living situations, dirty dishes, cockroaches, cats and their status as “gods,” and the sacrifices people make when moving in together (and in relationships in general). Topped off by the story of Dino’s NSFW adventures on Nerve.com and the time he almost became the “diddle to her fiddle.” Shout-outs to Val Mayerik, Gary Dumm, WD-40, The Quitter, Josh’s brother-in-law (one of them), the Dianoga from Star Wars, Star Wars Minute, SPX, Neil Young’s “A Man Needs a Maid”, Harvey’s metal plant, flea markets, Jake Elsas and Jake’s cat Flotsam, Virginia Woolf (“A Room of Her Own”), A Few Perfect Hours, Friends, Tinder, blackouts, Black Kiss, Gina Cole, Trip City, Sentient Brooklyn, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre! --- This episode is sponsored by · The Colin and Samir Podcast: The Colin and Samir Podcast hosted by LA - based friends and filmmakers Colin and Samir takes a look into what it’s like to make creativity your career. https://open.spotify.com/show/5QaSbbv2eD4SFrlFR6IyY7?si=Dj3roVoJTZmOime94xhjng --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/scenebyscene/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/scenebyscene/support

As usual for the Mynock, the Garbage will do. Will they Dianoga another day? Or will they die as they lived - covered in trash?
From the minds of Ken Napzok (Schmoes Know, Collider, co-creator of Jedi Alliance) and Joseph Scrimshaw (comedian, writer, host of the Obsessed podcast), and Jennifer Landa (actress, host, crafter, contributor to starwars.com) comes the ForceCenter Podcast Feed. Here you will feed a series of shows exploring, discussing, and celebrating everything about Star Wars. Here now is Databank Brawl with Joseph Scrimshaw. The concept is simple. Two Star Wars characters, pulled from the StarWars.com Databank, are pitted against each other in a fantasy fight in which the results are determined by Joseph and his guest(s). This week: Moff Jerjerrod v Dianoga. Subscribe on iTunes and follow us on Twitter @ForceCenterPod. With Austin Powers recently turning 20, we undertake a fan suggestion this week and look at five awful, awful games based on Mike Myers movies... with the help of our old pal Dan Amrich, who won the internet this week by co-creating the stellar Star Wars/Beatles mashup album known as Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans. Then it's time for a spirited discussion about Prey, Call of Duty: WWII, Darksiders III, the New Nintendo 2DS XL, and the series whose gameplay you'd mash together if you could. Theme song by Matthew Joseph Payne http://matthewjosephpayne.bandcamp.com/ Break song is Dianoga by Palette-Swap Ninja http://www.paletteswapninja.com/ Haunting and beautiful New Releases Theme by David B. Cooper.
In this episode, we discuss Garbage Compactor 3263827. This isn't just ANY garbage compactor. It's the famous Death Star garbage compactor as seen in A New Hope! There's a lot going on down in Garbage Compactor 3263827, and we're going to get to the bottom of it. (GROSS!)How did the Dianoga get down there? Why did it start to close? What is a magnetic seal and how does it effect lasers?Does anyone smell Dianoga pie?Download Episode 2 - Garbage Compactor 3263827Bonus: This week's StarWTF?! Game Show has special guests Endor scout Cobb Salfur and Ewok deity Fashkaa trying to define the random Star Wars Wookieepedia article of the week.
This month has Skye getting politically incorrect, Steve revealing his penchant for animal cruelty, Ron showing his capacity to stay awake and two completely absent guests! It is our start of the Leia Hoth show and it also has a new feature with guest host, Skyera Glass on "This Vintage Life." We talk Tots, Steamed Hams, Collector Clubs and Gaffi Sticks. This show is great...and it is only half over!

Hey everyone and welcome to Fatality Friday here at Just One of the Guys. No, we're not putting bets on which celebrity will kick the bucket this weekend (although I'm putting my money on Sir Sean Connery of embarassment after he released that awful CGI flick a few weeks ago), but instead we are celebrating the one ongoing villain to come out of the Ron Marz era of Green Lantern, Fatality. We find out why she has such a mad on for Green Lanterns, marvel at how quickly a warehouse can be built over a giant spaceship, and gasp as we see Kyle take on the Dianoga without the benefit of his power ring. FINISH HIM!!! And in second book, we're going to cover another prestiege format story, Green Lantern/Flash: Faster Friends. This one teams up the golden age heroes of Jay Garrick and Alan Scott with their modern age counterparts Wally West and Kyle Rayner in a story that deals with, in a strange turn of events, an alien that gets captured and experimented on by the government. It's a cross generational story that shows that even the golden age heroes didn't get along at first. And there's a pointless encounter with a polar bear, so there's that as well. So unless you feel the need for some uncomfortable probing, I suggest you grab your mp3 player of choice, download the show, and get to listening!Feedback for this show can be sent to: justoneoftheguyspodcast@gmail.comJust One Of The Guys is a proud member of the Two True Freaks!
