We're back to talk for a surprisingly long time about a very short chapter, which is mostly pretty good with one horrendously bad thing in it. Now since I'm surely supposed to lose this fight against Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, it's time for me to put the controller down and take a big sip of coffee... We're back again skulking the streets of Kamurocho. It's our second foray into the Yakuza franchise, tune in to find out what we think of the remake to the first game and how it compares to our experience with Yakuza 0!
In this episode the boys visit the red light districts of Kamurocho and Sotenbori to fight street thugs, train hostesses, buy realestate, and sing karaoke in the first chronological entry in the Yakuza storyline. Did they find the game as fiery as the Dragon of Dojima? or was it as nuts as the Mad Dog of Shimano? Tune in to find out. We also made it into the best 30 Australian Gaming Podcasts according to Feedspot.
More orphan drama this week before we finally head back to Kamurocho. Riona and Koji are cancelled. Taichi thinks all landlords should die. Kiryu may or may not be aware of the United States. We talk about Oval Pawffice and DogRates in this one. Argyle | Jordan Twitter | Discord A Noise Space Podcast

Like most all of our listeners, we're keeping rather close to home these days. The nature of things makes it a bit challenging for the team to gather and record, but on the bright side, it's given us the time to dig through the archives and finally get around to editing some of our on-the-road interviews that have been gradually piling up over the past several months. Starting this week, we bring you “Sake-On-Air-On-The-Road”!For this week's show, Big Chris (Hughes) is interviewing Tony Mitchell, brewer at Cambridge's pioneering Dojima Sake Brewery, in a conversation that took place on location at the brewery while Chris was back in the U.K. during a visit home in 2019.Dojima Sake Brewery's plans are expansive and ambitious, and that ambition helping to drive the unprecedented model that Dojima is cultivating is palpable when listening to Tony's passion for his craft and the lifestyle that he's managed to cultivate around it. In addition to discussing the brewery's exciting approach to crafting great sake while at the same time creating a cultural hub for Japan's iconic beverage in the Cambridge countryside, the two also spend time discussing Tony's days at Wakatakeya Sake Brewery in Fukuoka, and the experience that transformed the course of his life for good.Being on the road and at the brewery, you'll likely be able to tell that we weren't able to take advantage of our regular recording equipment. Your understanding is appreciated. If you'd like to help more sake-lovers find the show by reviewing and rating us on Apple Podcasts, it would mean the world to us. To begin the lecture, Professor Shiller elaborates on the difference between forwards and futures and on the role of futures markets to infer future prices for the underlying commodity or financial asset. Generalizing the discussion beyond futures markets to derivatives markets, he assesses the issue of speculation in those markets and its impact on capitalist activity. Subsequently, he introduces the notions of counterparty risk, standardization of contracts, and clearinghouses within the framework of the first futures market, the market for rice futures in Dojima, Japan. While describing wheat futures, he addresses the price patterns of contango and backwardation, margin accounts that help alleviating counterparty risk, as well as the fair value formula for futures prices. The third commodity futures market is the oil futures market, which leads to description of the history of the oil market in general from the 1870s, to the first and second oil crisis, until the oil price spike in 2008. Professor Shiller concludes this lecture with financial futures, specifically S&P 500 index futures, touching upon the difference between physical delivery and cash settlement.
