Finally! Donna is getting the help she needs for that excessive cheeriness. JK. Finally, Sonny is getting the help he needs, sort of. A mix of Kevin and Jason. A good cop, good enforcer approach to mental health. Why not?!! And lovely to see Morgan, but it wasn't enough. Just enough to remind us how much we miss him. Meanwhile, Ava is wearing a sweatshirt! Criminal. A sweatshirt. Ava. Wow. Jagger doesn't seem to mind. He's hopeless. Kristina, Molly, and TJ are in hell. Three separate hells. How much will this loss change them? Plus, where the hell is Blaze? P.S. Gia and Keisha continue to provide their take on the Paris Olympics. [TRANSCRIPT] [click, static] Harry, if you can hear this, I've fixed up another car for you. It should run just fine, and there's two canisters of fuel in the trunk, so you shouldn't have to siphon any of your own for a while. There's also a radio hooked up in it. So… Well, that's sort of pointless isn't it? I put the radio in there in case you haven't found another working one, but in order for you to find this one, you'd have to have a working radio to hear this message. It took me the better part of two days to put it all together and get it to where I thought you might find it. It's near where we used to go to get firewood. Not that far from the house, but far enough I think it'd be a pain for Junior to find, especially considering all the other cars that are in that area. And it's—I made a point to find a car that was your favorite color, to make it easier to find and also in the hopes that…I don't know, maybe you'll happen to walk past where I've left it and you'll see it and some instinct will tell you to see if it works and— [click, static] I'm grasping at straws, I know I am. I've been searching all over, every single day and I don't see any sign of you. There have been a few times where I thought I heard another car, but I have a feeling that probably belongs to Junior. I was too afraid to follow the sound and double check. Every time, I just go in the opposite direction. There's one other thing I'm going to try, but it's a long shot too. But what else am I supposed to do? I can't stop trying. [click, static]
We have reduced the gospel as being merely the good news of an escape, instead of the good news of a rescue---of our "returning home to the Father's embrace.” To authentically proclaim the gospel, our "emphasis must fall on our being saved into a new life with God, not merely from sin”. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thekingdom4everyone/support

The Third Annual "Failure to Franchise Presents: Trev & Chris-Tmas" kicks off with Trev's present for Chris - a critically acclaimed but audience-ignored neo-noir comic crime-thriller from a celebrated screenwriter and starring two beloved movie stars. So why the heck did The Nice Guys sink like a fish at the box office in 2016? We're here to try to figure it out, as we discuss writer/director Shane Black's distinctive aesthetic, the comic abilities of Ryan Gosling, why a bigger Russell Crowe might be a better Russell Crowe, and how a 12-year-old girl can maybe be the biggest badass in a movie full of tough-talking criminals, bruisers, and detectives. [TRANSCRIPT] [click, static] The painting is sitting in the passenger seat now. It is my companion. I wish I could explain why I took this one in particular. But I just…I liked it. It made me smile the moment I saw it. Gave me a kind of good ache right behind my ribs. It reminds me of my mom. I don't know why. She never went to Santa Fe, I don't think. I don't know that I ever heard her even reference it. It's about as far from what she knew in her life as you can get in this country. But there's something about the colors in it. They just made me think of her. So I took it. I don't know why I said I don't know what caused Harry to change. Of course I know. Or, at least, I think I do. But she…it's been six years. Not to say that she should be over it, or even that I'm over it but…at some point you have to move on, right? Yeah. You have to move on or you'll die driving yourself insane. [click, static]

Gia and Keisha are struggling. No surprise there. But struggling to enjoy General Hospital! Is it the heat? The rain? Their aging brains? Even Anna, Dante, and Sonny can't save the day. Or Ava, Austin, and Nina. Or Leo! Not even Leo! Not even Leo? Would drinking help? Maybe. Probably. But also better writing. These characters deserve better writing. And we haven't had a single shot of Chechnya. Not even a fake skyline or a barren landscape with a handful of styrofoam rocks. Very disappointing. Gia and Keisha will still watch, of course. They would even be willing to write a scene or two. Reach out. This is the one about things that are not happening at this exact moment but in a way they are because a) time is an illusion and it's all happening at the same time and b) time just keeps on ticking into the future. The future of what though? The future of the past? Bam! I'm not even sure what it's all about. I think it's about time or timing or time in a bottle.
