He said it's very hard in this era to run the ball and rely on your defense and preached the importance of chunk plays. Poni asked AQ about being drafted by the Steelers and how much he learned in his short time in Pittsburgh that led to a successful NFL career, with a lot of credit to Casey Hampton. He said Haloti Ngata was probably the toughest guy he faced in a game. He also gave a shout out to some WPIAL guys that were in high school the same time AQ was at Moon.

Join me on the couch with an alum of University of Miami and a former NFLer, Kendrick Norton. I'll never forget the night I learned about Kendrick Norton's car accident. I was at Rocco Tacos on the 4th of July and I saw an alert come up on my phone. The alert stated that Kendrick was in a motor vehicle crash (MVC) and that his arm had to be amputated to remove him from his Ford F-250. I later learned that he lost his arm during the actual MVC. Norton was driving on State Road 836 in Miami with Kira Williams, his girlfriend at the time, in the passenger seat. He tried to exit on to Florida State Road 826 and clipped an approaching Maserati. His truck slammed into a concrete barrier. As it flipped through the air, the force of the tumble crushed Norton's left arm and tore it off midway between his elbow and shoulder. The vehicle landed upside down. Norton realized his arm was gone when he tried to do a push-up to lift himself out of the truck. He stumbled out as onlookers, including two off-duty officers from the Miami Beach Police Department, pulled over to see what happened. Where his left arm had been was instead a mess of tendons and bone. ARE YOU READY TO TAKE THE COUCH? Listen as Norton talks about the important things in life that do not include football. This is his story of redemption. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/brainlove/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/brainlove/support
