Last Friday, the Tar Heels hosted “Live Action with Carolina Basketball” (renamed from Late Night with Roy Williams and last year's “Late Night ‘N HD”). It was the public's first chance to see the men's and women's team both in action together. After introductions, the women's team held an abridged scrimmage due to some injuries. Following the men's introductions there was a three-point shooting competition and a skills relay. After that, the men's team scrimmaged. Caleb Love, Puff Johnson, and Jalen Washington were held out for injury precautions. The other four projected starters (RJ Davis, Leaky Black, Pete Nance, and Armando Bacot) teamed with D'Marco Dunn as starters against a starting five of Seth Trimble, Dontrez Styles, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver, and Justin McKoy. Matt Krause, the voice of the UNC Women's Basketball, who was on the call with Kyle Straub and Garrison Brooks, jonis the show to recap the night's events. NBA Draft night came and went for Brady Manek without hearing his name called. After everything he showed in Chapel Hill last year alongside Caleb Love, RJ Davis, Armando Bacot, and Leaky Black, it seems that at least one NBA franchise would take a shot on him. Coach Hubert Davis said earlier in the week that Manek will be in the NBA next season. So now we wait to see what transpires in terms of a two-way contract and/or a Summer League Invite. During the draft, host Isaac Schade couldn't quit thinking about Leaky Black. Why? So many of the names being drafted or signed to two-way contracts were players that Black shut down last season, including Paolo Banchero, AJ Griffin, Dereon Seabron, and Justin Lewis. Walker Kessler was drafted 22 by the Memphis Grizzlies. Garrison Brooks was not drafted. The spring game (which the guys couldn't agree if it was promising or dooming). The baseball series that where TSUN lost two game but had a great time and apparently won on aggregate. Then last but not least the addition of Garrison Brooks and DJ Jefferies to the men's basketball team. However, the question is...does it matter that we added them with Howland as our coach. We also have a very long discussion about if our baseball team can win a natty or even compete with elite teams with scrawny 195 lb caucasian players?

In Season 3 Episode 10, the Blue Blood Rivalry TV team discusses why Duke and Carolina are out of the top 25 for the first time since 1961. The team breaks down the Blue Devils 4-3 conference record and 6-5 overall tally. Meanwhile, UNC opened 6-3 in the conference and now sports an 11-5 overall record. We then analyze why the Tar Heels have looked like a better team led by veterans Garrison Brooks and Armando Bacot, and why Duke has struggled to find their identity on offense as Jalen Johnson returns to full strength. We close the show by discussing the effects of covid-19 on the infamous Carolina vs. Duke Blue Blood Rivalry game, and whether each team will make the NCAA tournament with a very competitive schedule on the horizon. Welcome to Season 4:Episode 3 of 'The Player And The Fan' featuring David Noel III and Quierra Luck. They are excited to bring you an official podcast highlighting equally important sporting elements, the player and the fan. They will declare their viewpoints weekly, featuring various sporting topics and games around the ACC, specifically North Carolina Tar Heels. As we try and navigate our way through elections, racial injustice, and political division, the duo hopes to provide you with a short escape full of laughs, David's dramatic storytelling, and of course, analysis of college and professional basketball. In the third episode of the new season, David and Quierra breakdown North Carolina's win against Syracuse in Chapel Hill. Success was expected since UNC has mastered defeating the zone defense, but with a young and inexperienced team, a loss wouldn't have been a shocker. Luckily, RJ Davis, Day'ron Sharpe, and Garrison Brooks lifted the team with double figures; Brooks and Sharpe finished with double-doubles. North Carolina looked confident, eager, and competitive against the Orange, all of which attributed to one of their best games. Importantly, freshman Caleb Love looked to be finally enjoying his collegiate career as he knocked down a few early shots and defensively stepped up. Additionally, the duo discuss the ACC's lack of excitement; Are inexperienced teams a contributing factor? As you listen throughout the podcast, please join in the conversation on social media and tag us! We would love to hear your opinion! Sit back, choose your side, and enjoy the dialogue! Make sure you let your voice be heard! Are you with The Player or The Fan?!
On this edition of The Drive Bdaht takes Josh to Grahammer School, Brendan Marks tries to make sense of what's happening to Garrison Brooks, and which teams are going to run into a wall this weekend in wildcard action.

Is Carolina basketball back? Well, possibly, as the Heels posted two double-digit conference wins with a depleted roster. Is the Tar Heel Blog Podcast back? Yessir. Host Chad Floyd (@Chad_Floyd) is joined by Akil Gurupuran (@akillesheel17) and Al Hood (@albhood) to talk about a litany of happenings in Carolina basketball, and beyond. We start on a somber note, talking about memories of the late Kobe Bryant. The obvious Michael Jordan juxtapositions hit close to home as Carolina fans, but we tried to eulogize him and put into context his passing as best we could. The win against Miami: the Brandon Robinson show takes a backseat (in our discussion, at least) to some nice things we saw from Armando Bacot and grad transfers Christian Keeling and Justin Pierce. Also, the catharsis of building a lead, maintaining a lead, and ending a long losing streak. We danced on State’s grave, through the lens of Robinson the absolute warrior, and Garrison Brooks, emerging superstar. And yes, we trashed State as a program and fanbase a little bit. Finally, we wrap by quickly discussing whether the Heels can navigate the tough back end of the schedule and get back in the NCAA Tournament discussion. Learn more about your ad choices. By golly, we have a lot to talk about in the first postgame edition of Between the Banners of the 2019-2020 season. Host Chad Floyd (@Chad_Floyd) and Jake Lawrence (@therealestrjl) take an immediate deep-dive into the Tar Heels’ 76-65 win over Notre Dame on Wednesday night. It was Cole Anthony’s show, no doubt, but there was a lot to discuss— both good and bad— from the Heels’ win. As a bonus, Puff Johnson committed to UNC as the fifth member of the 2020 recruiting class, so there’s a little extra bonus content if you stick around. Anthony: my goodness. Leaky Black’s sophomore year Danny Green impression Christian Keeling and Justin Pierce: adjusting to a new role, new league, and new competition. ANDREW PLATEK APPRECIATION! Honestly, Chad gushing over Armando Bacot, and Jake doing the same about Garrison Brooks, both of which are fair. Puff Johnson: what he can bring, where he fits, and are the Heels done with 2020?
