For millions of people with rheumatologic conditions, daily life can feel like a constant negotiation with symptoms, managed, medicated, yet never fully resolved. In this episode of Energy Medicine, we explore a different question:What if your symptoms are not something to silence, but signals asking to be understood?Host Dr. Mary, a medical intuitive and chiropractor, is joined by Dr. Nisha Manek, a rheumatologist turned bestselling author, speaker, and health coach. Trained in academic medicine, Dr. Manek courageously stepped beyond a drug-only model of care after witnessing its limitations. Together, they unpack what becomes possible when science and spirit meet, and when the body's innate intelligence is finally given space to lead the healing process. This conversation offers hope, clarity, and a grounded reimagining of healing for those seeking relief beyond symptom suppression. In this episode, you'll hear:Dr. Manek's personal journey from academic rheumatology to integrative, drug-free healingWhat first caused her to question whether pharmaceuticals were the primary path to wellnessWhat recognizing the power within really means from a physiological and clinical perspectiveHow nervous system regulation, energy, and the biofield fit into modern medical understandingWhy do symptoms often appear when the body has lost regulation and coherenceWhat a new medical paradigm could look like, and what medicine is being asked to releaseWhat is at stake for patients if healing continues to focus only on symptom managementWhy this conversation mattersRheumatologic conditions are often treated as lifelong problems to manage rather than systems to understand. This episode invites a more compassionate, integrative perspective that honors the body's wisdom, supports regulation and resilience, and opens the door to healing beyond medication alone.Contact Dr. Mary:FB / dr.maryesanders IG / dr.maryesanders YouTube / @dr.maryesanders LinkedIn / drmaryesanders Website https://www.drmarysanders.com/Contact Dr. Nisha Manek:LinkedIn: / feed Website: https://www.nishamanekmd.com/About the podcast:Energy Medicine is hosted by Dr. Mary, a medical intuitive and chiropractor. In this episode, Guy talked with Dr. Nisha Manek. She challenges conventional understandings of consciousness and delves into the intersection of science and spirituality. Emphasizing that consciousness is not a product of the brain, Nisha discussed the latent capacities of human beings and the need to elevate our levels of conscious awareness. Through her experiences as a medical doctor and her studies with physicist William Tiller, she explored the potential of intention to affect physical reality, the limitations of modern medicine, and the importance of inner work. Nisha also shared practical advice on meditation and the transformative power of silence. About Dr. Nisha: Nisha Manek is an internally recognized leader in the field of integrative medicine. Nisha's humble background from Kenya propelled her to transcend limitations: gender, ethnicity, and financial status. From Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she graduated Summa cum laude, to the University of Glasgow School of Medicine in Scotland, Nisha's uncommon tenacity has driven her to ask difficult questions and pursue answers beyond traditional medical paradigms. Nisha began her career in rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Recognized as Teacher of the Year in the School of Medicine, she brings storytelling as a core skill to bedside medical teaching and on the plenary stage. But she didn't stop there. Nisha partnered with one of the world's most innovative physicists, Emeritus Professor William A. Tiller of Stanford University, and pushed the boundaries of what is possible in medicine. She is the preeminent doctor of information medicine, which intersects consciousness, biofield science, and rheumatology to improve human health. She has authored a one-of-a-kind book, Bridging Science and Spirit, which closes the gap between two seemingly separate areas of knowledge. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. I had the pleasure of co-hosting DJ Brad's inaugural music set on the internet. The best jumper I've ever seen on a disc jockey... DJ Diesel (Shaq) is nice in the paint but DJ Brad wins that jumper contest. Wicked amped about this second Fred Again vinyl, hope someone out there enjoys it. In all seriousness, thank you Keisha for showing up to the party and wanting a lowly internet DJ's autograph. That is still mind blowing to me. Gives me a little boost to keep this boat afloat. My love life might be boring me to tears, I might be a steaming pile.. I may have a goose loose.. BUT I do have at least two fans out there and with three solid people you can take over a country. Not on my to do list, but hey I'm leaving my avenues open on a Monday night and you should too. God bless you for being here. I guess what once was a few-day Pop Up Shop has turned into the Everlasting Pop Up lmao I'll have it up on www.coffeestainclothing.com for anybody interested. Thanks again, I'll see y'all next time. Pachniak.

Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball
North Carolina's 2022-23 season begins with a bang next Monday as four of the five starters from last year's National Runner-Up team return to Chapel Hill - Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, and RJ Davis. The lone difference is the absence of Brady Manek and the presence of Pete Nance. Many have tried to pigeon-hole Nance into being Manek, but that's just simply not who he is. Meanwhile, the Carolina football team travels to Charlottesville this weekend to face Virginia in the “South's Oldest Rivalry”. North Carolina is still looking to fill the void left behind by GG Jackson's decommittment. So far, they've only offered two additional players in the class of 2023, PFs TJ Power and Zayden High. Outside of that, Simeon Wilcher remains the lone recruit in the class of 2023. We've already discussed TJ Power on the show, and now we turn our attention to Zayden High. High just scheduled an official visit to Chapel Hill for September 30.SI's Jason Jordan says that High and Power would complement each other well and both fit on the roster. In fact, he suggests they would form a vicious pick-and-pop tandem as Power has great court vision and ball handling skills. According to Jordan, High has a great stroke from outside and would fit well in a Hubert Davis system; going so far as to suggest he has some Brady Manek-like skills.Follow the show: Locked On Tar Heels (YouTube) Locked On Tar Heels (LinkTree) Locked On Tar Heels (Twitter) Locked On Tar Heels (Instagram) Isaac Schade (Twitter) Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster. It's the 12th week of the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster summer preview series. We have gone through the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D'Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles), and the juniors (Puff Johnson, RJ Davis, Caleb Love). Last week we started the seniors with Justin McKoy. Next up is Armando Bacot a 6'11", 235-pound center from Richmond, Virginia. Bacot had strong and steady showings in his first two seasons as a Tar Heel, but he found an entirely new level in 2021-22. As a junior, Bacot demolished Carolina's single season rebounding and double-double records. Previously, Brice Johnson was the only Tar Heel to grab 400-plus rebounds in a single season. Bacot finished with 511. That total gives him 1,001 rebounds in his career, just the tenth UNC player to ever do so. Tyler Hansbrough holds the all-timer career Carolina record at 1,219, a record well within Bacot's reach this season. It was also Johnson that Bacot unseated in taking the Carolina single-season double-double record. Johnson had 23 in 2015-16; Bacot finished with 31 last season. That total tied David Robinson's NCAA all-time single-season mark. With 49 career double-doubles, Bacot should easily become the all-time leader, passing Billy Cunningham's 60. Looking ahead, Bacot will once again be a starter alongside the remaining other three of the Iron Five – Caleb Love, RJ Davis, and Leaky Black. Pete Nance projects to be the fifth starter, stepping in for Manek. When Bacot needs to be spelled, I expect Nance to shift over to the five and Puff Johnson to come in as the four. There are certainly other combinations that Coach Hubert Davis will employ, but that should be the predominant substitution pattern for Bacot. Host Isaac Schade and Coach Pac Kilby take you through Bacot's game as well as expectations for the upcoming season. With Hubert Davis at the controls of the North Carolina men's basketball team, three-point attempts and makes skyrocketed last season. That trend should undoubtedly continue moving forward, and not just at UNC but all over the nation. The 2021-22 season was quite prolific indeed from beyond the arc. Brady Manek (98) and Caleb Love (93) became the first Tar Heel teammates to each make at least 90 threes in a single season. Going a step further, Manek, Love, and RJ Davis (66) became the first Tar Heel trio to each make at least 60 threes in a single season. After that trio, though there was a precipitous drop-off down to Kerwin Walton's 23 threes. As a team, this was the sixth UNC team with 700-plus three point attempts, the fourth team with 800-plus attempts, and the first-ever team to attempt at least 900 threes (916 total). In a similar vein, this was the most three point makes by a Carolina team (328), and just the third time being north of 300 (2017-18 and 2018-19 being the other iterations).Going forward, the Tar Heels return 58.5% of their made threes from last season. There's a glaring hole left behind by Brady Manek that no one can completely step into.Caleb Love will need to replicate his downtown effort while RJ Davis hopefully can make a leap into the 90s as well. Additionally, the hope is that with more volume, Pete Nance can grow his career high 42 made threes last season up into the 60s.Can other players take a big step forward? Puff Johnson, Leaky Black, and D'Marco Dunn are prime candidates to help fill at least some part of the Brady Manek void. There is certainly a path to the Tar Heels making 300-plus threes again next season. This week's Tuesday Trivia question: Brady Manek and Caleb Love combined to make 191 three-pointers last season, the second-highest combined total for a pair of Tar Heel teammates. What pair had more? How many? And in what season? The answer: Justin Jackson (105) & Joel Berry (88) 193 total 2016-17 Follow the show: Locked On Tar Heels (YouTube) Locked On Tar Heels (LinkTree) Locked On Tar Heels (Twitter) Locked On Tar Heels (Instagram) Isaac Schade (Twitter) Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster. Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball
Hubert Davis' first team at UNC averaged 77.9 points per game, which would have been 12th amongst teams in the Roy Williams era. Armando Bacot led the way for the Tar Heels with 16.3 points per game. Three other Tar Heels averaged double-digit scoring, Caleb Love (15.9), Brady Manek (15.1), and RJ Davis (13.5). Carolina held a +6.6 scoring margin over their opponents, a mark that would have only bested three Roy Williams era teams – 2009-10, 2019-20, and 2020-21. The Heels return 71.2% of their scoring including four of their top five in terms of points scored last season. Along with Manek, the other players the Tar Heels will be without are transfers Dawson Garcia, Anthony Harris, and Kerwin Walton. Given the fact that five different players led the team in scoring and five different players had at least one 20-point game, this is a “pick your poison” type team that opposing defenses will have trouble game-planning for. Can Pete Nance step in and make up for Brady Manek's scoring production? Can any of the freshmen chip in buckets here and there? Will Leaky Black, Puff Johnson, or Dontrez Styles increase their scoring? Can the Tar Heels as a unit boost their scoring average north of 80? We'll find out soon enough! Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball
The 2021-22 North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team ushered in a new era as brand new head coach Hubert Davis took over the reins from three-time national champion Roy Williams. Along with Davis, the second-leading three-point shooter in NBA history, came a higher reliance upon the three-point shot. His first UNC team was led from beyond the arc by Brady Manek (40.3%), RJ Davis (36.7%), and Caleb Love (36.0%). As a team, Carolina, shot 35.8% while attempting the most threes by a team in program history (916).The Heels lose three of their top five three-point percentage shooters, including Manek, Kerwin Walton, and Dawson Garcia. Can Davis and Love build on what they accomplished last year? Can Pete Nance step in and once again shoot north of 40%? Will returners like Puff Johnson or D'Marco Dunn be able to find a more consistent shooting stroke? Will any of the freshmen contribute from beyond the arc?Follow the show: Locked On Tar Heels (YouTube) Locked On Tar Heels (LinkTree) Locked On Tar Heels (Twitter) Isaac Schade (Twitter) Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster.
