Going deep into the archives for a not-previously-reduxed discussion with my wife on a matter important to any generation: What's funny, what's not, and why? We are Gen X-ers who think Quick Change is brilliant and funny. My mother-in-law thought Where's Poppa was brilliant and funny. You'll have to make up your own mind on which of us was right. As mentioned, it's one of the first recordings I did, and it's ... rough. But understandable. Quick Change, with Bill Murray, Geena Davis, Randy Quaid, and Jason Robards, is one of my favorite comedy films. Where's Poppa, with George Segal and Ruth Gordon, was one of my mother-in-law's favorite comedy films. My wife and I discuss possibilities for why what we find funny and what our parents find funny is often so different. It is important to understand the fundamentals of accounting to be able to make good business decisions. This includes having an outside set of eyes that are honed from the manner in which technology is changing the way CPAs work. Data is necessary to know where you've been so you can make the most informed decisions possible. That means collecting data — the right data — and using it to optimize the evaluation of several good ideas. Risk is always a part of good ideas, and the cost of debt today doesn't have to make things harder or unreachable; it just requires understanding how such risk will help you today. This program is about the exciting developments surrounding how technology can create more opportunities to better understand what it takes to achieve your growth goals. It emphasizes the importance of committing to expanding the ways you think, and provides insights on how to change with the world as it changes around you. Jess Dewell talks with Dave Hartley, Partner in Charge at Anders CPA, about the commitment it takes to bring 30 years of experience forward while navigating change to help clients stay competitive in their markets — and why it is BOLD to be innovative while surrounded by quickly changing marketing conditions. -------------------- If you want to identify business bottlenecks, the necessary skills, the initial actions to take, the expected milestones, and the priorities for achieving growth, try the "Growth Framework Reset" approach. This will help you to keep learning and growing while working strategically on your business. -------------------- You can get in touch with Jess Dewell on Twitter, LinkedIn or Red Direction website.

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme! We're not sadists. We're not trying to torture ourselves or you so every movie we mandate is mandated in good faith. We never try to pick bad movies but sometimes we mess up. Well, that's what Mea Culpa month is for! It's our opportunity to apologize for sucky mandated movies with a different film that hopefully doesn't suck! Last year I mandated When Worlds Collide for Disaster Movie Month. It wasn't very good. So, to make up for it, I've mandated Dog Day Afternoon, a movie about the most disastrous bank robbery this side of Quick Change! 0:00 - Trivial Trivia 13:05- Dog Day Afternoon review 1:02:15- Next episode's mandated movie We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie. Alternatively, you can listen to and audio-only version on iTunes. New episodes of Movie Mandates drop on the first and third Wednesday of every month! It's Thanksgiving weekend and you know what that means? It's time for our yearly (usually yearly) movie review podcast. We decided to watch Five Nights at Freddy's in the hope that we could spare any of you having to watch this boring, nothing-burger of a movie. So consider this your warning because we're spoiling everything about this movie. Are you spending the weekend with some relatives that are, let's say, not politically aligned with you? Well, this movie might give you something we can all hate together. Will our wooden protagonist manage to keep his little sister out of his evil aunt's clutches? Will the antagonist end up being the guy played by the most recognizable actor in the movie? Who was that girl at the food court? Wait, how do these animatronics work? How does this compare to Willy's Wonderworld? We'll (try to) answer all these questions and more.

What You Need to Know is about the fast changing strategies of the left. They used to be able to run to judges and get their priorities through because they couldn't convince the voters through the traditional system. Now, however, conservatives have transformed the judiciary but the Congress has run so far to the left it's astounding. Ironically, the left is repeating a talking point of the right, that the Supreme Court be more neutral and less politically active! Let's consider Moore v. Harper to see all the dynamics of what's happening. Their strategic whiplash is astounding. Hal Shurtleff, Director and Co-Founder of Camp Constitution, gives a final update on his Shurtleff v. Boston case that won 9-0 before the Supreme Court. The check from the city of Boston is in for legal fees and Liberty Counsel's pro-bono work for Hal and Camp Constitution has paid off! Reading 1 Samuel 6:13-7:2(NLT) ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion. The Ark is back in Israel, in the town of Beth-shemesh. The people were overjoyed when they saw the Ark return. Israel began to experience similar discomfort with the Ark of God. The Ark belonged in the Tabernacle, but having Holy objects does not give you favor, it is about relationship. Fear of being too close to God and His holy presence. Failing to seek the LORD when it feels like you've been abandoned by the LORD. We still have the opportunity to seek the LORD.

Thanks For Watching Episode 186, Proper Female Character Armor. Beth, Joe and DJ attack this show with everything they've got. Even more craziness ensues when DJ has a movie scene stuck in his head. Have you seen the movie Quick Change? DJ's review of the movie of the week was kind of low. That should indicate what kind of film we watched. Next week we will talk about a film starring someone in the film Resident Evil or starting with the letter L and listing our favorite Ian Holm films. What are your favorites? Let us know with a call or text. Check us out over there at Patreon. Our website is https://www.tfwmovies.com and feel free to call or text us at 512-PODCAST.
