Maxine Sharf is a food blogger and recipe developer. She started @maxiskitchen on Instagram and has grown an engaged following of food lovers who enjoy her healthy recipes and authentic passion for cooking. She gives valuable advice regarding the challenges of growing an online community and why it’s important to lean into your passion. Memorable moments:14:45: Get over the mental hurdle of just starting. Just start putting out content, even if it's just one thing. 15:02: Lean into your passion. For me, I know that cooking is my passion because the world tends to kind of melt away when I'm doing it and I get into sort of a flow state.15:14: There's a hundred percent going to be a big community of people out there who are also interested in that thing, even if it's a really niche random thing that you're like thinking “am I the only person out there that likes this?” That's probably going to be a more diehard following. 16:03: When you combine the medium that you're the most comfortable with with the passion that you truly care about, you're going to create great content. Choosing between the type of content you should produce can become an overwhelming task, especially with the vast types of content that are available to us as of 2021. In episode 127, I explain the pros and cons of Podcasting and Blogging as content creation formats. Blogging has been with us much longer than podcasts and this is quite clear with the Blog per person ratio compared to Podcast per person ratio being significantly higher. Each content types have their pros and cons and complement each other in different ways to serve different purposes.2021 demands an omnichannel approach in Marketing and simply going for one content type and neglecting others, simply will not cut it. Obviously, you should focus on what you are good at, not everyone is a pitch perfect writer or a captivating orator with microphones. However, if you own a business or brand, hiring around your weaker talent spots, ensuring you maintain an omni-channel marketing presence will put you at the front of the game.Rhodecaster ProAfter 127 episodes on TMP, it's about time we upgrade our audio quality and pod equipments to make listening experience at per with top podcast standards. As I've mentioned sometime back, I use the hyperx quadcast usb microphone, which essentially is a gaming mic but can serve as a podcasting mic as well. The Microphone is good but I would still like to get better sound quality for all you and that can be done with a mixer and condenser mic. For that reason I have set up a Gofundme, just click here and pledge whatever amount you are able to.Once we get the Rodecaster Pro, I will give away two mics that I currently own that might help anyone starting out in podcasting.Build your podcast website with Podpage in under 5 minutes. You can find me on social media @kiamaugustineRate, Review & Subscribe to support the Podcast.Thank you for tuning in !Buzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! From a young age, fitness was an important thread woven into Bianca's life. Years down the road, a headhunter in advertising told her she needed a project—something to set her apart from others in the industry if she wanted to move up in the ranks. She landed on the idea of Mizzfit: a blog about fitness fashion and trends in fitness. Though she didn’t get the advertising job she was vying for, she got something better: the opportunity to go after her dream. With hard work, sweat and tears, Bianca built a career and a full-scale brand from the ground up. She dug in her heels and took big risks, learning to navigate everything from trademarks and attorneys to how to partner with brands and monetize her site. Over the years, she expanded Mizzfit from just fitness to include travel, health and beauty, connecting with and building a loyal audience along the way. More than just a content creator and blogger, Bianca is also a talk show host and loves sharing her passion for giving back to the community. Bianca and Sarah talk about what it takes to build a brand, why every entrepreneur needs a dog and what’s next for Mizzfit.
