In the fall of 2020, Michael Hill, a Black citizen of the Cherokee Nation, woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of someone banging on the windows of his home. He called police for help, but the police arrested Michael in his own front yard. When trying to get his case heard in tribal court he was rejected because though he has tribal citizenship, he has no blood quantum and by federal law is not legally an Indian. His story is told in a newly released Audible Original documentary called Tribal Justice: The Struggle for Black Rights on Native Land, reported and written by two award-winning indigenous journalists, Allison Herrera and Adreanna Rodriguez. This is our fifth installment of the documentary.Affordable housing and community development took center stage in Enid during a recent town hall meeting addressing a rezoning proposal. While some viewed the proposal as an opportunity for revitalization and affordable living, others raised concerns about taxes and the potential impact on their land. A new apartment building is at its highest value upon completion of construction. Like a new car, it's a depreciating asset. That's why you need to invest with operators who have a lot of experience with all aspects of the business to make money. Most syndicators are finance professionals, not operators. Most of the appreciation of multifamily over the past couple decades has been the result of declining interest rates, which will most likely not be repeated in the near future. Isaac Bennett, Founder of You Are, has invested in multifamily both as a Limited Partner and Principal, and has learned the hard way the critical importance of working with top-notch operators. Isaac is a multifamily investor and also develops land and invests in other alternative investments.

But when she sent him a text saying she was coming home early, that set in motion a series of God-ordained events which powerfully saved him from suicide and completely changed his life. David Sliker, Dana Candler, and Isaac Bennett discuss the way in which Luke 4:18, worship and compassion, prophecy and intercession, and John Wimber and the Vineyard movement have always been a significant part of IHOPKC's story. From 1982 until today, these themes have been woven into the fabric of the night-and-day prayer movement, popping up again and again in the most surprising ways. Why does the Lord care so much about these themes, and why is He emphasizing Luke 4:18?
Isaac Bennett
David Sliker, Dana Candler, and Isaac Bennett trace the story of Luke 4:18 from the early 1920s to the late 1980s and to the present day. This is a story that spans four generations with significant prophetic encounters and promises. Ultimately, this story will involve every believer that loves Jesus in the generation of His return.
At the very end of a forty-day fast—during which the Holy Spirit emphasized lukewarm love for Jesus and our need for repentance—the Lord suddenly spoke clearly: after decades of waiting, "it's Luke 4:18 at last." David Sliker, Dana Candler, and Isaac Bennett tell the story of the great surprise of the sudden pronouncement of this revelation, which represents the culmination of some of the most unusual three years in our history.

It's happening! The Cubs finally signed Yu Darvish, landing the top pitcher on the free agent market for just six years, $126 million. There are also incentives that could take the deal to $150 million, as well as a no-trade clause and an opt-out clause after the second year.I brought back my good friend and former BP Wrigleycast co-host Isaac Bennett to chat about the newest Cub, as well as the state of their rotation and how it matches up against the other playoff rotations in the National League. Isaac and I finished out by discussing the bullpen and the potential 25-man roster heading into the start of the season. If you like what you hear, please subscribe on iTunes and leave a review! In a major throwback, I welcomed my former BP Wrigleycast co-host Isaac Bennett to chat with me on Episode 6 of Locked On Cubs. We looked at the Wade Davis deal with the Colorado Rockies and whether the Cubs were right to stay away, then took a broader view at the Cubs bullpen going into next season. After discussing some pitchers the Cubs might want to sign, we gave our theories on owner collusion and why the offseason has been slow so far.
