Talkin' Motorbikes with Attack Yamaha boss Richard Stanboli aka "the superbike genius". In this one we're going to talk about all things related to Brainerd. The tough season continues for #1 plate rider and 3 time superbike champion Jake Gagne. Jake's been struggling with a rather gnarly arm pump issue, and I'm sure we'll talk a little about that. Also, its looking like each weekend Cam P is making progress in the forward direction. We'll talk about the weekend, and what he thinks CP needs to be a consistent threat to win. Also, of course we'll talk about the teams Attack Performance supports. Hopefully you all enjoy. I'm raising money for the Arthritis Foundation this fall. We're 11 races into a 20-race MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike Championship and things are tight at the top between Jake Gagne, Cameron Beaubier and Josh Herrin. There's been some surprises and some disappointments, but the season has been stellar and the second half is shaping up to be a thriller. With three wins and five total podiums in the four rounds (eight races) held thus far in 2023, Cameron Beaubier and his Tytlers Cycle Racing team have a lot to be happy about. They've won races - even at tracks where most thought they would struggle - and sit second in the championship, 23 points behind Jake Gagne, as the series heads to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for round five. Beaubier couldn't be happier. He's racing in the championship he's won five times, he likes his team, and he's thrilled to be able fly home the Mondays after the races to be with his wife Shelby and newborn son. Brody. It's definitely a good time to be Cameron Beaubier. We caught up with Beaubier for this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice to talk about his return to MotoAmerica and much more. In 2020, Attack Performance took over the running of Yamaha's "factory" team in the MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike Championship. The results have been impressive. How's this? Forty-two wins in 54 races for a 77 percent win ratio as of the recent round at Brainerd International Raceway. The man behind the team, known as Fresh N Lean Progressive Yamaha Racing, is Richard Stanboli. Thus, the team's success shouldn't come as a surprise based on his past work. With defending series champion Jake Gagne now 13 points behind with six races to go in the 2022 title chase, there's no panic in either Gagne or Stanboli or anyone else in the team. It's business as usual and they believe as a group that they will be in the fight to the bitter end and come out on top. Believe it or not, going into the 2021 season, Jake Gagne had never won a HONOS Superbike race. But that all changed now last weekend when the former MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 Champion went out and got the monkey off his back in the series opener in Georgia. After earning pole position with a new lap record at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Gagne put his DNF from race one behind him and went out and dominated race two, ending a winless drought that dated back to 2015. In the last 12 months Pegram has competitively raced Supermoto, flat track at X-Games, driven the AudioSport R8 and won, and road raced at MotoAmerica! As a driver and a rider Larry Pegram has but one goal and that is to have fun! Not only can Larry Pegram do all these things but he also has the ability to communicate with race fans worldwide. His work on BeinSports as a color analyst. Now Pegram appears to be very comfortable as the color analyst of American Flat Track on NBCSN! Above all that it appears his true passion is racing Go Karts with his children! Danny Walker has had but one goal as a team owner/manager in MotoAmerica. That goal is to see his contracted riders advance to the world stage in World Superbike and MotoGP. His Broaster Chicken Honda Team is headed to MotoAmerica at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca without Jake Gagne because Gagne got the call to ride for the Ten Kate team in World Superbike there in place of the late Nicky Hayden. We hear his thoughts about that and more in this episode of Talking Motorcycles. His hope is that Gagne will be signed full time by Ten Kate following the Laguna round. What qualities does he think Jake has that can make him a star on the world stage? Thank you for listening to Talking Motorcycles with Barry Boone that originates from the studios of WNDB in Daytona Beach. The Suzuki ECSTAR Championship at Road Atlanta is the first "Stand Alone" event for MotoAmerica in 2017. Following a successful outing with MotoGP at Circuit of the America's, the tractor trailer rigs have rolled into the rolling hillsides of Road Atlanta! In this episode of Talking Motorcycles we take a look backwards to the Round 1 in Austin and review what happened there. We then begin to look ahead to this weekend in Atlanta and beyond. There are many story lines developing already in 2017 and we will advance two of those in this episode. The Latus Motors Racing Quicksilver Lubricants Team has begun 2017 much as they ended 2016. They are exceeding everyone's expectations, except perhaps their own, as they have the Bazaaz Superstock 1000 points lead and are beating some very good Superbike teams in the process. Bobby Fong appears to have brought his A Game in 2017 and we check in with him in this edition of the show. Danny Walker has embarked on a new adventure in 2017 with a switch to the all new Honda CBR1000RR. Walker reduced expectations pre-season by discussing that this will be a development year for the team with the switch to Honda and the lack of parts availablity in the early season. They have great chemistry with Scott Jensen leading the charge in developing the new Honda big bore and their experienced rider Jake Gagne. COTA may not have produced the results they were hoping for but Walker is a proven winner and one of the most determine team owners in the sport. We look forward to checking in with DW pre-Atlanta! The Graves Motorsports Yamaha team gave him a great ride and he was on point all season! Jake Gagne is the 2015 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 class champion! Riding for Danny Walker's Roadrace Factory Yamaha team, he was the class of the field. What's in store for 2015? Europe? Many believe Jake is one of the most talented racers in the world. We have many questions and he will have answers! Danny Walker came on the show pre-season and told us his goal was to win the Superstock 1000 championship with Jake Gagne on a Yamaha R1. We look forward to hearing Danny's valuable insight and his outlook for the road ahead. The team took on a major challenge with three riders on 600's in addition to Gagne. Yve Assad has a beautiful vision. She "creates with light" every time she picks up a camera. She tours many miles per year on her vintage BMW airhead traveling the two lanes of America in search of images that captivate. We look forward to catching up with Yve and discovering her most recent work and where she envisions her career in the months and years ahead. Talking Motorcycles is powered by SOZO! The Roadrace Factory is entering the 2015 MotoAmerica season with new rider announcements and Danny Walker joins us to discuss the exciting rider lineup for the season ahead. Jake Gagne will head up the teams efforts for 2015 aboard the all new Yamaha R1 in Superstock. Jake's training has ramped up in the off season as he prepares for his return to the Roadrace Factory. Tomas Puerta (Columbia) brings high expectations for the RRF team in 2015 riding the R6 Yamaha in the Supersport Class. Puerta was the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Rookie of the Year. Ben Young will be returning to the American road racing scene after a season abroad in the British Superbike Series competing in the 1000cc Superstock class. Young will be bringing with him the sponsorship of Tim Hortons. Cameron Peterson, the South African 2013 Super600 Champion will be working to adapt to not only his new Roadrace Factory team but the race tracks utilized by MotoAmerica in 2015. This four rider package will mean much adjustment for the Roadrace Factory team led by Danny Walker. We go inside the mind of one of the most talkative and dynamic team owners in the sport to get his thoughts on the season ahead. Organizing the team around this four rider lineup requires much energy, dedication and money. We will talk about all three of those when Danny Walker joins us LIVE for this episode of Talking Motorcyles.
