Joe is a 1987 graduate of UMS. Today, Dr. Savage works full-time as the director of Roads of Hope, committing his life to the rescue and care of orphans in distress. ROH currently cares for 40 orphaned children living in five different “family-type” homes scattered across Moldova. Joe also rescues children who have been taken, provides humanitarian aid to orphanages, hosts orphans to the United States, and tries to connect as many orphans to families as possible.

It's taken 42 episodes, but Adam is finally pandering to the 'Liams from Edinburgh who contribute to football podcasts' demographic. Making his second appearance on the show, Hearts fan Liam C of the This is My Story podcast discusses a positive 94 minutes and 38 seconds at Easter Road, Barrie McKay, Hearts sporting director Joe Savage's ambitious mindset, the club's activity in the transfer window, being clamped by Robbie Neilson, the one Hibs player he'd take at Hearts and having the high ground over Andy Walker. Hibs supporter Liam F of the Down the Slope podcast talks about Martin Boyle's late equaliser and the reaction from fans, an unusual summer at Easter Road, Sunday's game demonstrating the gentrification of Leith, new manager Lee Johnson, how his work in diversity and inclusion relates to football, chairman Ron Gordon's business mind, the 'class war' on football and how Hibs have 'flipped the narrative' when it comes to Rocky Bushiri. Adam asks his guests to help him debunk a myth involving solidarity between rival supporters, puts questions to them from social media, finds out their Scottish football bugbears, launches a brand new league table and shares some recent hard-hitting stories in the latest edition of the Jermain Defoe Swanky Dome Bar Round-up. We've recorded episodes in the Fort Worth Stockyards, many homes and offices, we've traveled all over the DFW area, and now currently we have set up shop in Austin Texas at the foot of the Hill Country. Its always been the purpose of the show to be a true mobile podcast with a mobile podcast studio. Simply put, bridge building is the process of working on your dreams while maintaining your day job! Andrew Turner, the host of Fort Worth Roots, is no stranger to the perils of being in business for himself. His first business was a landscape design business that landed him a role on HGTV with Andy and Ashley Williams on the show " Flip or Flop Fort Worth. Andrew and his little company appeared on 6 episodes of the show. This was the first time he had been part of a production this size. Eventually the show was finished filming and two years later Andrew left the world of landscape design. With experience in a dozen or more industries Andrew finds it easy to connect with almost all of his guests. The show continues to evolve and change with each episode. Bringing more interesting content to every recording is the goal and maintaining a feel of authenticity is paramount. We hope you enjoy the show and, we would love to hear from you! ICYMI: Sean Sullivan talked to Dr Joe Savage about Roads of Hope. There is an URGENT NEED! As a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, many of our orphan homes and partner orphan homes are now serving as refugee houses or have found themselves to be within just a few miles of danger.
This week, Andy hosts Joe Savage – Founder and Director of Roads of Hope, the largest orphan rescue organization in Europe and the United States. Tune in to hear Joe describe the unique position in which Roads of Hope currently finds itself. Listen as Andy and Joe discuss specific instances from just LAST WEEK of rescuing orphans from the Russian mafia involved in sex trafficking. With zero government assistance, Roads of Hope has become the largest rescue program active in the conflict. Refugees in the southern half of Ukraine have no choice but to flee to the west, through Moldova, giving Roads of Hope the opportunity to house and feed thousands of refugees as they quickly transport them to safety. While we grow the show and continue to make friends, we are in the process of what one of our guests calls "bridge building". Joe Savage offers his testimony and shares what he and his organization are doing to help orphans Scripture:
This week, we're discussing how art is being used to explore the link between Brodsworth Hall and the transatlantic slave trade. The property and its gardens near Doncaster in South Yorkshire will be hosting a collection of five sculptures created by artist Carl Gabriel and inspired by the story of Peter Thelluson, a former owner of the estate who made his fortune from goods connected with slave-based production and the slave trade itself. Joining us to explain more are senior interpretations manager Joe Savage and historian, archivist and researcher John Angus Martin. "Where are you going?" This poignant question marks the beginning of the chorus to Joe Savage's new song, "First Sight of Danger," from his new record, El Camino. Marked by a familiar but restless bass line and a driving country guitar, "First Sight of Danger" explores the concept of finding one's footing. In this episode, Joe and Emmeline talk about the 500-mile walk that inspired this song and Joe's new record. They also discuss the difficulty of finding one's voice amidst the social noise, the joy of spending less time with one's smartphone, and the imperative of listening for and heeding the calls on our hearts. Plus, Joe shares some of his favorite artists and writers! To learn more about Joe Savage or to follow his musical journey, visit him on Patreon. Hello and Welcome to Episode 12 of the Talkin' Tynie Podcast. In this episode, Alastair and Euan have a lot to get through and start by reviewing that fantastic away performance in Kirkcaldy last Tuesday, where Heart of Midlothian returned to winning ways by thrashing Raith Rovers 4-0. In particular, some individual's stood out and there is a discussion around those players. They move onto the most recent result, a differing performance in contrast to Tuesday but the same result nonetheless, winning 1-0 at Tynecastle against Dunfermline. Individual quality set Hearts apart from the Pars, with Craig Gordon and Jamie Walker impressing in particular. The final segment of the episode focuses on the transfer business that was completed on deadline day, Monday. Hearts brought in two players and they are both briefly discussed; who they are, previous clubs, style of play and ultimately what they will bring to Heart of Midlothian football club.In every episode, there are other little caveats that are mentioned, such as Neilson's approach to youth and Joe Savage's impact on the club.As always we hope that you enjoy this episode. If you could give us some feedback on your listening method of choice, that would be much appreciated (if applicable).
