Send us a Text Message - include your name! This marks the 50th episode of Faith Over Breakfast Season 5—an unexpected milestone that landed in a conversation worth celebrating. In this episode, Pastor Andy reconnects with Andrew Turner, all the way from Australia, finding that rare window where Arizona mornings meet Australian evenings. Both men have written books on bivocational ministry—Andy's Part Time Pastoring and Andrew's The Future is Bivocational (https://a.co/d/eqUToXk). While they certainly talk ministry, business, and the rhythms of working two callings at once, it's the deeper layers that stand out: stories of grief and growth, of holding onto faith through seasons of loss, and of finding new ways to speak the gospel into a post-Christian culture. This one isn't just for pastors—it's for anyone wondering how faith and work, pain and purpose, might actually belong together.Support the showSUPPORT THE SHOW BEYOND SUBSCRIPTIONS1. These men deal with PTSD.  It can be a dark and scary place when you are in the depths of despair.  Matt and Andrew are candid as they discuss the fears and anxiety that can plague their souls. They have cemented their friendship with one common goal, to help others dealing with PTSD, a condition not limited to military personnel. Matt and Andrew are hosts of the Disarranged Talk Show where they share one person's story each week, complex stories of growth and resiliency. Child Advocacy Supervisor Jaime Hernandez joined the CASA of Tarrant County team when he realized he could make a bigger impact than with other organizations. This 25-year Airforce Veteran has been in the business of caring for others for a very long time. Today, Jaime has a message for our neighbors here in Tarrant County. "WE NEED YOUR HELP". Last year 663 children were removed from their homes in our county which carries the title of third highest in number of abuse cases in the state of Texas. All is not lost! Jaime is here to tell us how we can help and what organizations like CASA are doing to make a difference. Jaime, thank you for recording with us. Please let me know if you or anyone else from CASA would ever like to put out a PSA or do another recording. Kaitlin Aguilar and Victoria Bittmenn, thank you for getting Jaime and I in the same room for this recording! Find information on CASA of Tarrant County by visiting: https://www.speakupforachild.org/Find them on social media as: "CASA of Tarrant County" Upcoming CASA Events: • North Texas Giving Day (9/22/22): this is an event that will be hosted across the entire North Texas region by the Communities Foundation of Texas. It's a full day of recognizing and raising funds for non-profits throughout North Texas, while also raising awareness. This is a great opportunity to give financially (if that is what some employees are capable of right now), and perhaps work with their workplace, or other organizations to raise awareness or additional funds via matching programs.• Kids on Canvas (10/20/22): This event, Kids on Canvas benefitting CASA of Tarrant County, is back and better than ever! Join us at The 4 Eleven in Fort Worth for delicious bites and drinks, premium raffle prizes, kid-friendly activities, and the opportunity to take home a one-of-a-kind painting. This event is a special one-night gallery event showcasing artwork created by children of all ages that are currently in foster care. This event will help raise funds for critical advocacy and support services to the volunteers who advocate on behalf of the abused and neglected children in Tarrant County.  • Clay Shoot (3/3/23): This event will be located at Defender Outdoors in Fort Worth. Our Pull for Kids Clay Shoot raises both money and awareness while having fun at the gun range! Registration starts at 8am, with first pull at 9am followed by lunch & awards. We have a special sponsorship opportunity for those to sponsor first responders to come out and shoot. This is a great opportunity to bring clients or provide a team for employees to shoot at and represent your company. A huge thank you to our sponsor's   Roofing Solutions by Darren Houk! Roofing Solutions can help with all your residential and commercial roofing needs. Dark Stories from the Campfire

For this episode, we present two dark tales. Our first dark story concerns Andrew Turner, whose body was found on the side of the highway, leaving investigators confused as to the time and cause of death. As detectives begin to piece together Andrew bizarre behavior over his last few days, they discover a mysterious game could be the cause. And that Andrew's body has one last message to uncover. Our second dark story concerns one Judge O'Conner, who was always seen as being fair, but after sentencing Thomas Copper to death, a mysterious drumming sound begins to haunt him. As the judge loses his senses, it is up to his daughter and nephew to unravel the mystery of what is in the house. Enjoy.
