On today's episode the guys are back in the studio to break down the U.S. territorial expansion. The United States expanded west through a mix of purchases, treaties, wars, and forced removals, driven by the belief in Manifest Destiny—the idea that the nation was meant to stretch from coast to coast. This expansion brought massive economic growth and new states, but also led to the displacement of Native nations, conflict with Mexico, and long-lasting consequences that still shape the country today. Plus, they get into Arian's triumphant golf round, Michele Tafoya running for senate in Minnesota, Indiana football and the National Championship game, the NFL and political parties Charles Bediako and College Basketball (ft. More snow. More cold. Repeat. After shoveling a bit yesterday when I got home from work, it decided to snow some more in the afternoon and now I've got to shovel again today when I get out of here. In the news this morning, a Delta flight had to return to the gate after de-icing fluid leaked into the plane and soaked a passenger, a man is accused of posing as an ICE agent & breaking into someone's home, WinterFest in Green Bay is canceled because of winter, and a list of things Goodwill won't take. In sports, the Bucks lost to the Thunder last night, the Badger men's basketball team plays tonight against Penn State, the Brewers traded Freddy Peralta to the Mets, a look at this weekend's AFC & NFC Conference Championship games, and the 49ers are putting on their tinfoil hats! It's "National Hot Sauce Day", and it's also Hypothetical Thursday. Jean's question for Brian was: "Would you rather freeze to death or burn to death?" And Brian's question for Jean was: "Do you believe in heaven & hell and what do you think they look like?" Elsewhere in sports, a rundown of this Saturday's UFC 324 card, former sideline reporter Michele Tafoya is running for Senate in Minnesota, and a 4 year-old girl is getting death threats because of her NFL picks on social media. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and we also discussed Bret Michaels' response to the claim that he wanted 600% more money than the rest of Poison for a possible 40th Anniversary tour. Plus, the Super Bowl is only a few weeks away and they are already filming & leaking some of the ads you're going to see during the game. A couple of things are trending right now, including "house burping"…which is just opening the doors & windows throughout the year & getting some fresh air inside…and "Whimsy"…which is people trying to be more carefree in 2026. Great story about a cook at Texas Roadhouse who helped save a couple from a car wreck and just received an incredible reward for his heroics! Plus, another story about a dog that was missing who's now been reunited with his original owner. Office Cora also joined us this morning to talk about what she's up to this weekend in the 715. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a man in NH who's accused of breaking into people's residences and pouring queso on their furniture, a #FloridaMan who tried stealing a bunch of wine & steaks by shoving them down his pants, a female prison guard who was banging an inmate and attempting to sneak drugs into the lock-up, and a dude who shut off his heat in his apartment to save money & ended up with an ice castle instead.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dive into Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's very curious defense of restricting the Second Amendment, decoy operations to lure anti-ICE protesters away from actual raids, and Tucker Carlson claiming it would be good for Iran to have nuclear weapons.First, they scratch their heads as Justice Jackson cites laws preventing black people from exercising their Second Amendment rights in the Jim Crow south as a precedent for siding with Hawaii's new, strict gun control laws. Thankfully, Justice Sam Alito was there to provide some much needed sanity.Next, they get a kick out of Blue Lives Matter claiming it ran decoy operations in nine states to draw anti-ICE demonstrators away from real enforcement actions, freeing agents to do their jobs. They also highlight 3 Martini Lunch guest Michele Tafoya announcing her bid for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota. Finally, they just shake their heads as Tucker Carlson contends that it would be good for Iran to have nuclear weapons because it could help stabilize the region, much like North Korean nukes have supposedly done in that part of the world, and that it would keep the U.S. and Israel from meddling so much in the Middle East. Jim has plenty to say about Tucker's spiraling deeper into utter nonsense. Please visit our great sponsors:Protect your family with Ethos Life Insurance — get your quote in minutes at https://Ethos.com/3MLUpgrade your wardrobe with Mizzen & Main — get 20% off your first purchase at https://MizzenandMain.com with promo code 3ML20. Stay consistent with your skincare and save 15% with OneSkin — use code 3ML at https://Oneskin.co/3ML and let them know we sent you!New episodes every weekday.
