His argument is simple and hard to answer. If ICE and Border Patrol were detaining dozens of violent criminals, carjackers, traffickers, members of Tren de Aragua, this administration would put them in front of cameras every single day. It has not done that once. What the cameras show instead are car accident victims, longtime residents, and families. One case Hawk returns to: a sailor serving aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln whose father, here 30 years with a Social Security card, a license, and no criminal record, was detained while his son was deployed. Also today, better news out of Texas, where new polling shows James Talarico leading Ken Paxton in three districts Trump carried. Canadians declining to be polite about the trade war. And Arizona governor candidate Andy Biggs facing questions about a 2013 Colorado City child marriage vote. My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We'll see about that. I really do. Hope it's somebody we want to see. But you know what? Son of a gun.  Shout out to my lips. Caroline Leavitt has left it. You get that play on words.  Who's going to replace her? She's really good. She's one of the best press secretaries ever. Maybe the best in modern history, to be honest with you. But who's gonna replace her? I think they need a dude now. Yeah.  I mean, Carolyn Leavitt, you know, she's like Nancy Lieberman. She could almost get into the NBA. But I think when you have a guy, think about like a Scott Jennings, he's good. Or Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller probably wouldn't be as good because Stephen is really brash and he's got this way of talking about things where he's, and then the president said, so it's kind of like shouting at you. Scott Jennings is more reserved. I would, between the two, I'd probably take Scott Jennings. You guys would, yeah, my producers agree. So Scott Jennings, he'd be a good pick.  Who else? I mean, there's some good people out there. And Scott Jennings was a Mitch McConnell guy. So you almost want more rhinos to get inside and see how things work with a real presidency versus some of these institutional guys, these establishment people. I don't, no disrespect, but they just don't, they don't hack, they don't know how to fight. Glad you guys are with me. We talked about being woke in the previous hour and how the left is waking up from woke.  Hey, I've got some good news. They're going to probably go after these FBIs. They had 14 informants on Biden corruption. They ran a secret disinformation campaign. They'll probably be firing those guys. Here's another one.  Here's a stat, something that should make you feel good. Food stamp enrollment cratered 5.3 million under President Trump. 5.3 million less people getting snapped. So figuring they get, I don't know what they get. What do they get? A few $100 a month? They got 1000 bucks a month for food, which would be a lot, right?  That's 5.3 billion. So do the math, cut it in half, whatever it may be. If they get $500 a month from SNAP, I don't know. I just know this. I'd like to have a SNAP card. Kevin, wouldn't you be embarrassed? No, why would I be embarrassed? I'd be getting my money back. I've got thousands of dollars. in the government that I gave back. I want my money back. And then I look at what they spend it on, shoot, I want triple my money back. I don't know about you guys. Anyway, Arizona, the biggest drop, 54.8% decrease in SNAP. That's how, think about that.  That's gotta be some illegals.  Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. Given their similar backgrounds in TV, comedy, and martial arts, it's easy to see why people enjoy Kevin's show so much. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Mark the summer of 2026 as the moment when an unlikely supermajority of Americans came together on one issue: their opposition to data centers. Maggie Haberman is a White House correspondent for The New York Times. The New York City native is the author of "Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America." She is also the co-author, with Jonathan Swan, of a new book, "Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump," which lays out the first year of President Trump's second presidency.  Haberman joined NY1's Errol Louis to discuss her new book. She explained how she and Swan began the project in 2023 as a "last act" Trump story but instead witnessed a dramatic shift that they came to see as a form of domestic "regime change, " marked by court-style politics, expanded executive power and the erosion of independence at the Department of Justice. Haberman also described an administration divided into fiefdoms controlled by powerful figures, including Stephen Miller, Elon Musk through DOGE and USAID and others.

Original Air Date: March 30th, 2026 In this fresh clip, the man who's been wrong for three decades is at it again, solemnly declaring that some climate damage is already “not reversible” while warning it's “probably inevitable that we're going to see Greenland go and the west Antarctic ice sheet go.” He tells us the world's shallow coral reef systems are “very much in danger,” so if you want to see them, you'd better “get scuba certified immediately” — right before casually throwing in that New Orleans might need saving too. Gore admits the most dangerous impacts are “still avoidable and preventable” if we just “stop using the sky as an open sewer for this civilization-destroying pollution”… because apparently the same scientists whose 20-year-old doomsday predictions he now calls “dead right” have suddenly nailed it this time. No new data, no evidence, just the same recycled panic, the same furrowed brow, and the same urgent plea to trust him — again. Same Gore, same script, different decade. The ice sheets, the reefs, and the sky are all doomed… unless you buy what he's selling. Classic. The natural immunity framing from the COVID years carried the same premise underneath: strong enough to get through it and you live, and if not, that is simply how it goes. Applied to a country where most people accumulate two or three chronic conditions with age, that is a policy with a serious body count. Measles is already back at levels not seen in decades. Bouie's closing point is the one that stuck: Trump has no ideology beyond himself. The ideologues are Stephen Miller and Russ Vought - both of whom are happy to implement racist policies targeting those who are vulnerable in the US. Hawk holds that against the rest of the picture. Gas prices at an August high, groceries up sharply, a one bedroom in San Francisco averaging 4,000 dollars a month, and Maggie Haberman's reporting that a large share of the president's attention is going to White House renovations. Approval sits around 32 percent. Hawk's frustration is not reserved for one side: with less than 90 days to the midterms, he watches voters who agree on nearly everything tear each other apart over primaries they lost, and says he feels more politically homeless than at any point in his adult life. The brilliant Wajahat Ali, author of Go Back to Where You Came From, and playwright of The Domestic Crusaders, had me on The LeftHook to share my new book A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women: 20 Steps to Find Your Purpose and Power in a World on Fire. Watch or listen to the full discussion on how to overcome the very real and urgent threat of fascism. (Side note: In France, Marine Le Pen is campaigning for president wearing an ankle monitor, following in the footsteps of her fellow Russian asset, the convicted felon/Epstein wing-man). Trump is doing to our country what he did to the East Wing of our White House. How do we rebuild from the wreckage? That's what A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women is about. It's for anyone tired of Steve Bannon trying to demoralize us and flood the zone with sh*t. It's about concrete steps to stay grounded and focused in a world of chaos, to align your deepest needs and dreams with a higher purpose, creating world domination for the collective good. My own journey begins with being raised on stories of the government trying to kill you, and blame you for the crime, helped by Western corruption to cover-up the torture and murder. I am of course speaking of my Ukrainian heritage and the Holodomor, Stalin's genocide famine in Ukraine. In all my years of studying my family's history and the two monsters, Hitler and Stalin, who drove that history, I look back on America's own, and see the authoritarianism that established this country. The white supremacy blood lust terrorizing Black Americans, Native Americans, mass discrimination and violence against immigrants, and the list goes on. Trump, Stephen Miller, Peter Thiel, and too many others carry on that violent legacy. That's why they're aligned with the Kremlin, which sees Ukrainians as inferior.  In Ukrainian culture, we're taught to fight for our very lives, our voice, our art, our culture, our language, because no one else will. They want to erase us, so we must do the opposite and shine, shine, shine. In Ukrainian culture, art is literally survival. The coded language of poetry preserves historical truth, our shared humanity, our courage and defiance.  Life is incredibly stubborn. Creativity is how we fortify our resilience. A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women provides 20 concrete steps for women–who are the favorite target of fascists, because they fear the fight in us–and their allies–to dream big for themselves and the kind of world we want to live in. That is how we reset the culture, overcome their darkness with our light, and gather our people to create a better world. We are the alternative to their dystopian vision for our future, a future that belongs to us.  To better get to new my new and most personal book, I put together this Q&A:  Empowerment can be a privilege. Many nonwhite women, especially immigrants, are juggling several jobs just to survive. How does this book make space for different lived experiences A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women is based on my own lived experience of being raised in a Ukrainian immigrant family. My grandmothers both worked as maids to survive. So I take nothing for granted when it comes to the diversity of demands on women today. Throughout the book, I share wisdom and insights from women across history. There's also a recommended reading guide in the book, featuring an incredible list of women authors, like Mikki Kendall and trans activist Raquel Willis. I also share a troubling story about a Black mentor telling me to get a white man to join me for my pitch meetings and just sit there. I'm sad to say it did make a difference.  Planting seeds of hope and change – whether that's through launching a dream project like a film, book, business, non-profit, or some other ambitious goal – can be a grind. Does this book highlight organizations on the frontlines doing that unglamorous work in the shadows, helping us build that collective power?  Yes, absolutely! And I made sure that the blurbs (endorsements) featured at the front of the book included voices from grassroots groups, to promote their efforts to a wider audience. Julie Delaurier of Rise and Resist began as an organizer in ACT UP and helped organize Tesla Takedown and No Kings. She also organizes to track and resist ICE raids in NYC. She read the book and provided a heartfelt endorsement. So did civil rights leader Maya Wiley, President of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and Holley Atkinson of the grassroots group the Media and Democracy Project bringing legal challenges to the existence of Fox News. Isn't self-help ego-driven?  A Reasonable Guide is all about collective action. Individual choices produce collective action. Think of A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women as Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way meets Timothy Snyder's On Tyranny. Self-knowledge isn't the end goal here; it's the foundation for knowing where you can make an impact. It cites women across movements and their advice on how to stay creative and build power in a time of mass destruction.  But isn't this focus on the self just new age nonsense which is a slippery slope to fascism, given reports of new age online movements being breeding grounds for fascist cult recruitment? This book follows an ancient tradition of taking on an empire with the power of ideas. Ideas cannot be killed. And you cannot stop an idea whose time has come.  Know thyself was popularized by the ancient Greeks, most famously by Socrates who was a champion of women for that time. The Greeks were conquered by the sadistic and corrupt Roman Empire. A couple hundred years later, the Greeks conquered them right back through the power of self-knowledge and ideas. Greek became the dominant language of the Roman Empire. Self-knowledge is not ego. The book walks you through steps to think creatively and conquer doubt in order to build meaningful collective action.  I had to produce my film Mr. Jones myself because no one wanted it. Mr. Jones was a film to bring historical justice and truth to a massive genocide by the Kremlin, covered up for generations, including with the help of Western corruption. A former Ambassador to Ukraine called Mr. Jones Ukraine's Schindler's List. A screening was shut down in Moscow, and Memorial, Russia's once largest NGO that dared to screen it, was liquidated. There were death threats and harassment during the making of the film, but still the team and I fought on, holding on to the power of our creativity and voices. That is what A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women is about: remembering the power of your voice in a world that wants to silence you and kill you. It's also a damn good time.  I hope you will consider checking it out and pre-ordering A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women, which helps build buzz in the industry and gets the word out. Thank you to everyone who has supported my work over the years. It means so much.

Remember when Trump lost the birthright citizenship case? Because he doesn't. ----- Despite protestations that its deal with the Trump administration didn't forfeit the firm's independence, Paul Weiss reportedly seriously debated letting Stephen Miller review the firm's webpage edits according to the New York Times. The same reporting turned up the $3.5 million the firm spent to make its first openly transgender partner leave quietly. Elsewhere, Biglaw is now the largest employer of new law grads, even though it's a bigger slice of a smaller pie, with first-year hiring down for the first time since 2014. And having lost the birthright citizenship case, Donald Trump signed new executive orders explaining that he won it, moving one antecedent about six words to the left and calling it a holding. It's kicking off a string of proclamations from the White House that it's the real winner of cases it decidedly lost.

It's Wednesday, August 12th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus British driver lost car insurance over Christian bumper sticker A British driver lost his car insurance for displaying a Christian message on his vehicle.  Simeon Chandra put handmade “Jesus Loves You” stickers on his car. However, his GoSkippy Insurance broker said he must remove the stickers to retain coverage. The Christian Legal Centre is now supporting him in his ordeal. Andrea Williams, chief executive of the group, said, “Having experienced profound transformation through Jesus, from despair to hope, and from brokenness to purpose, [Simeon] is not ashamed to share what he believes. … If insurers can refuse [coverage] because a customer displays a Christian message, that should alarm everyone who cares about freedom of religion and freedom of expression.” 1 Peter 3:15-16 says, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.” To register a polite, on-line complaint with GoSkippy, visit our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. European household pets outnumber children Evangelical Focus reports that household pets outnumber children in Europe.  As of 2024, 49 percent of European households owned a pet. Of the 306 million pets in Europe, most were cats followed by dogs and ornamental birds.  By comparison, there are 1.4 million children under the age of 15 in Europe. That means the continent has an average 0.4 children for every pet. In fact, pet dogs now outnumber children in 15 European countries.   Massachusetts legalized killing babies on their birthdays Here in the United States, Massachusetts legalized the killing of unborn babies up to the point of birth on August 10th. Democrat Governor Maura Healey, a lesbian who is faux married to a woman and identifies as a Catholic, signed the abortion bill into law on Monday. The measure allows late-term abortions for any reason. Listen to how Governor Healy asserts that killing a baby is “healthcare” at her press conference. HEALY: “I promise that no matter what Donald Trump or Republicans in Congress, or the Supreme Court does, we're going to continue to make sure that women and families have access to the healthcare that they need right here in Massachusetts. “We know that protecting abortion access and reproductive healthcare has been under fire. We saw it when the Supreme Court overturned Roe in the Dobbs decision back in 2022, the first time a court has ever taken away a right that was given. “We've seen it as Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress continue to pass anti-abortion legislation, including extreme abortion bans. Today, one in three women in America live in a state with an abortion ban. “President Trump's new attorney general, Todd Blanche, over the weekend, said that overturning Roe v. Wade should be made ‘permanent' in every state. That's what we're up against.” Massachusetts is now the 11th state, plus the District of Columbia, to allow abortions up to birth. (Massachusetts joins Alaska, Colorado, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon and Vermont, according to FoxNews.com). Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.” Trump recommends fewer child vaccines & greater parental authority On August 10th, President Donald Trump signed an executive order on childhood vaccines, recommending fewer ones and that they be spread out over time instead of injecting multiple vaccines in one sitting. Listen to comments from Stephen Miller, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy. MILLER: “Because of your courage and leadership, Mr. President, millions of parents all over America today are breathing an enormous sigh of relief. I say this as the parent of young children myself. “Millions and millions of parents feel they've been pressured when their children are just weeks out of the hospital to take five shots, six shots, seven shots -- all at once. They're told it'll be normal. Your kid will have a fever of 103 [degrees] for three or four days. Your kid will stop eating for a week. Your kid's going to change all their sleeping. Don't worry; it's totally fine. It's totally normal. Nobody has studied it. Nobody's looked at it. Nobody's thought about it. “The pressure from the pharmaceutical industry and from aspects of the medical industry to pump your kids full of shots days after birth, with no understanding of the long-term consequences, has been a medical travesty.” In addition, the order recommends 11 immunizations for children, down from 18. The order also calls on states to protect parental authority and religious freedom in vaccine decisions.   Specifically, President Trump said in the order, “It is the policy of my administration that federal programs and funding should support maximal parental choice over childhood vaccines.” America's oil reserves dropped to half capacity America's oil reserves have fallen to the lowest level in over 40 years. The U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve dropped below 300 million barrels last week. That's less than half of its total capacity and the lowest level since 1983.  In March, President Donald Trump authorized the release of up to 172 million barrels from the reserve in response to the war with Iran.  Churchgoers who attend Bible studies have highest discipleship scores And finally, Lifeway Research reports churchgoers who attend Bible studies have the highest discipleship scores. The discipleship scores highlight characteristics consistently present in the lives of believers who are progressing in their spiritual maturity. U.S Protestant churchgoers who attend a small group Bible study five times or more each month had the highest discipleship scores.  Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, said, “The value of small groups is seen in higher levels of evangelism, service, giving, disciplines and relationships among those who regularly participate in small groups of adults from church compared to those who do not.” Acts 2:42 describes the early church: “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 10th, in the year of our Lord 2026. The Deadly Americans: Adam Isacson & John Walsh on MAGA's Killing Rampage in Latin America

Keen On Democracy

“Each one of these is individually a crime scene, and the United States is the responsible actor.” — John Walsh With America preoccupied (as always) with war in the Middle East, another kind of killing is taking place at its back door. Since early September of last year, the United States military has bombed 67 small boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific and assassinated 221 supposed “narco-terrorists.” The first full account of this deadly war is the Washington Office on Latin America's (WOLA) Killing Spree: Extrajudicial Executions in the U.S. Boat Strike Campaign, a 27,000-word report by Adam Isacson, WOLA's director for defense oversight, and John Walsh, its director for drug policy. Under U.S. and international law, this is murder, Isacson and Walsh conclude about a policy they see as premeditated killing of civilians who pose no immediate threat to the United States. Its official name is Operation Southern Spear, designed as a war on terror by an inner circle of Stephen Miller, Pete Hegseth, and Marco Rubio. So the Donroe Doctrine is really a broader MAGA embrace of extra-judicial killings. Trump might be able to point to Latin America on a map, but this official US policy is about far more than geography. And it even fails as drug policy. The boat strikes target Andean cocaine while fentanyl (produced in Mexico from Chinese synthetics) drives the American epidemic. As Isacson puts it, bombing these boats is like murdering a street-corner dealer and declaring the entire drug problem solved. The WOLA report's darkest implication is domestic. The Justice Department memo underpinning the campaign amounts, Walsh argues, to an open license to kill. For an administration that talks obsessively about the enemy within, the boat strikes might be a dress rehearsal. Graham Greene's quiet Americans have metastasized into the deadly Americans. Only this time they're filming their own atrocities and boasting about them on social media. The assassination of that street-corner dealer in Peru might be a dress rehearsal for an anti-ICE activist in Minnesota. America's southern back porch threatens to become its northern front door. Five Takeaways •       63 Crime Scenes. The numbers, from WOLA's strike-by-strike tracker: 63 attacks on 67 boats since September 2, 2025; 221 people killed; three known survivors. The legal analysis is not complicated: Title 18, Section 1111 of the U.S. Code prohibits murder, applies on the high seas, and premeditated killing of civilians with no self-defense justification is precisely what it forbids — no due process, no evidence offered, and in many cases no idea who was aboard. Each announcement is a near-identical Southern Command tweet, which is exactly what makes the campaign insidious: with no news handle, coverage shrinks to 150 words in the AP, and a democracy grows numb to what Walsh insists on calling 63 individual crime scenes with the United States as the responsible actor.•       Narcoterrorism: Two Wars Welded Together. Operation Southern Spear fuses the post-9/11 war on terror with the sixty-year war on drugs: organized-crime groups redefined as the equivalent of al-Qaeda and ISIS, a secret list of two dozen designated organizations, and Stephen Miller declaring that only the military can fight drug trafficking. The policy's continuity is real — supply control has been an American staple since Reagan — but its rupture is stark: Marco Rubio's own justification admitted that decades of interdiction never worked, so the administration would skip the intermediary steps and simply kill. The December 2025 National Security Strategy makes Latin America a first-tier priority for the first time in decades — the Donroe Doctrine, which Andrew reads as a broader MAGA embrace of extra-judicial killings — with Venezuela as proof of concept and “joint operations” as the export: Mexico refused, Ecuador agreed, and newly elected far-right governments in Colombia and Peru may soon invite American special forces to kick in doors.•       The Wrong War on the Wrong Economy. Both authors concede the underlying problem is real: organized crime kills, displaces, extorts everyone from street peddlers to five-star restaurants, and buys governments wholesale. But the strikes fail on their own terms. They target Andean cocaine while fentanyl — compact, potent, made in Mexico from Chinese precursors — drives American overdose deaths. Drugs are one income stream among many: at $4,000-an-ounce gold, illegal mining that poisons the Amazon may pay better, alongside extortion, kidnapping, and migrant smuggling. And the military is the wrong tool: America's supermax already holds the drug lords, the Medellín and Cali cartels were obliterated decades ago, and there is more coca than ever — because organized crime, unlike an insurgency, doesn't want to fight the state. It wants to corrupt it. Killing suspects also destroys the evidence a real case would need — ludicrous, as Walsh puts it, as drug policy.•       Who Were the 221? Nobody knows how many were innocent — which is itself the scandal. From the few dozen cases WOLA could document, the dead include fishermen, migrants, human-trafficking victims, and kids paid a couple hundred dollars to run drugs or fuel one time — the lowest links in the chain, in coastal regions where boats are the only roads and the same vessel carries passengers one day and a small cargo the next. (Isacson has ridden boats exactly like the ones in the videos.) One victim was a genuinely dirty local drug boss; most were nothing of the kind. The reckoning has begun at the edges: two Trinidadian families are suing the United States in Boston federal court, a Colombian fisherman's family has gone to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, and an Ecuadorian prosecutor who investigated the strikes has been assassinated.•       Colombia or Chicago. The report's most chilling section reads the Justice Department's legal memo as an open license to kill: a secret list, membership decided by the president, no limiting factor — so that, as Walsh warns, “it doesn't matter if you're in Colombia or Chicago.” For an administration that speaks constantly of the enemy from within — and drummed the theme into the assembled brass at Quantico — the high seas look like a rehearsal space. Accountability remains possible: Tim Kaine is reading every after-action report, boat-flag states could take Trump officials to the International Criminal Court, and travel could get complicated for the inner circle. WOLA's fear isn't retribution but lawfare — never, as Isacson says, a reason to be silent. Graham Greene's quiet Americans have metastasized into the deadly Americans, filming their own atrocities and boasting on social media. The assassination of a street-corner dealer in Peru might be a dress rehearsal for an anti-ICE activist in Minnesota: America's southern back porch threatens to become its northern front door. David Waldman and Greg Dworkin return from a chaos weekend that was a little quieter now that Donald K. Trump is getting his pants steamed regularly. Not to say things are "better"… or even "good", it's just that the wall of reality might be rising too high for Trump and Gops to toss feces over. The US lost Trump's war with Iran and also Iran won their war with Trump. Sadly, this happened because Democrats did not clap hard enough. Iran might allow us to retreat, if we retreat from the Strait of Hormuz, yet thousands of sailors and Marines are still stranded on the USS Lincoln. Israel wants no advice from Trump on how they should lose in Gaza. The cost of living, job losses, immigration crackdowns, and data centers will be a big deal for the midterms, but candidate style matters, too. Maine Dem Troy Jackson points out the obvious about Susan Collins, so that even Democrats dumb enough to vote for her can understand. Reality just might catch up to somebody on the reflecting pool fiasco. Jeanine Pirro? Doug Burgum? Nah, and definitely never Trump. Sunlight is the best disinfectant and might have finally removed Andy Ogles. Donald definitely has a type, and Stephen Miller will have Will Scharf competing with him for attention in the Oval Office. Gop election denier Mike Rogers somehow finds nothing objectionable about his primary win yet is predicted to be quite skeptical about Abdul El-Sayed's future progress. Boom! Emptywheel embraces the low-attention span types that she famously eschews in order to describe how the DOJ invoking Trump v. US to protect Todd Blanche's fixer, Aakash Singh.

In this episode, Alyson and Breht examine the Trump administration's emerging campaign against what it calls "far-left terrorism." We begin with NSPM-7, the presidential directive encouraging federal agencies to investigate not only alleged political violence, but the organizations, funders, media networks, and ideological communities surrounding it. We then look at two distinct examples of this framework in practice: the sweeping Prairieland prosecutions in Texas, where defendants received extraordinarily severe terrorism-related sentences, and the separate crackdown in Minnesota following anti-ICE mobilizations and political unrest. From there, we analyze Marco Rubio and Stephen Miller's international counterterrorism summit, the effort to redirect the machinery of the War on Terror toward the anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist left, and the State Department's Cuba document, which portrays socialism, anti-imperialism, Palestine solidarity, and antifascism as parts of a foreign-influenced revolutionary network. Finally, we ask whether the United States has entered a new Red Scare, what may come next, and how left-wing individuals, media outlets, and organizations can protect themselves without abandoning their political work.   Check out our new merch designs and support the show HERE Learn more here: https://revleftradio.com/ Check out Unlearning Capitalism for more political educational resources

Abdul El-Sayed just scraped out a razor-thin win in Michigan's Democratic Senate primary, and the establishment is already lining up behind him. This isn't some mild progressive. We're talking open socialist policies, calls to treat Israel as an illegal apartheid regime, and a campaign that got a boost from radicals who said America deserved 9/11. The same party that once pretended to be the big tent is now rolling out the red carpet for the red-green alliance of socialists and hard-left extremists. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) went from backing the moderate to praising El-Sayed's “energetic campaign.” Meanwhile, voices warning about anti-Semitism and anti-American fringe ideas are being shouted down. This isn't just Michigan. It's a clear signal that the socialist wing is no longer on the fringe — it is taking the nominations, and the leadership is folding. Regular Americans watching this should understand exactly what it means for the future of the country when the opposition party decides extremism is the new normal. Do you think the Democratic Party can still be pulled back from this radical takeover? What does it say about the state of the Left when someone this extreme becomes the nominee in a swing state? Pat also covered: Why are New York lawmakers pushing to bring back gay bathhouses? France just banned telemarketers — and Americans are taking notes. The eerie similarities between COVID panic and climate change hysteria. Spotify is closing in on 800 million users … and it's not slowing down. SEASON 5 EPISODE 1: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: Hey look, we're back. A special edition to test new equipment (both internal and mechanical), and to talk about the amazing reality that Trump has lost his war in Iran, and the only result he got has just been made permanent as Iran made a deal not with him, but with Oman, to institutionalize the Strait of Hormuz tolls. He is literally the first U.S. President to lose a war. So much winning! Plus the latest media fails (New York Times platforms that idiot David Ellison, who has been silenced by the liberal media that is owned by conservatives; more Maggie Haberman), new Michigan senatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed comes out throwing figurative punches at MAGA, and the bigger picture on the through lines back of Trump's Iran Forever War: burying Epstein, monetizing war for the Trump Mafia, and trying to make you afraid that gas will cost an extra buck rather than afraid your descendants will be smothered by gas's destruction of the atmosphere. B-Block (50:00) SPORTSBALLCENTER TONIGHT: Did you notice baseball's celebration of its "Trade Deadline" this week? This is a relatively new phenomenon. Through most of its history baseball has tried to legislate AGAINST powerful well-heeled teams from monopolizing all the talent. In fact there was once a rule against making a trade with a defending champion! And, maybe you heard I'm selling one of my rare Honus Wagner baseball cards. The idea that the card was damaged (the background to the player's portrait was cut away, probably in 1909) and I had it restored by a master conservator, has kind of gotten warped in the hype about the auction. The point is: restoration - illicit, secret, designed to mislead and deceive - has been around for three decades and I had this already-altered card re-altered was and is an attempt to make restoration above board. C-Block (1:23:14) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Well my old pal Laura Ingraham was back in the news and I'm afraid Dr. Fauci was subjected to a real-time version of one of my recurring nightmares: I'm somewhere public, trying to deal with a crisis, and I can tell somebody is sitting behind me gesticulating and contorting their visage - and it's LAURA. Or you can title this "The many faces of Laura Ingraham."See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's an Emmajority Report Thursday on The Majority Report On today's program: In the Wake of Abdul El-Sayed's winning the Democratic nomination for Senate in Michigan, the GOP-machine's Islamophobia is reaching a fever pitch. El-Sayed's GOP opponent Mike Rogers tries to tie the Democratic nominee to Osama Bin Laden in his opening statement to kick off the general election. NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is asked about Speaker Mike Johnson's comments on El-Sayed's victory on Tuesday putting the U.S. in danger of being overrun by "mini-Mamdani's'. Zohran says if El-Sayed's campaign promises of "money out of politics, money in your pocket and Medicare for all" are scary then that shows just how out-of-touch the Republican party is with the concerns of the working class. Stephen Zunes, Professor of Politics and Director of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of San Francisco, joins to discuss his piece in The Nation: "The Real Story Behind the Human Wave That Entered Ceuta." For more from Professor Zunes, check out his most recent book, coauthored with Jacob Mundy: Western Sahara: War, Nationalism, and Conflict Irresolution.  Murtaza Hussain, covering national security and global affairs at Drop Site News, joins to discuss his piece: "For Your Eyes Only: Israel's Mole Inside the United Nations" In the Fun Half:   Brandon Sutton joins.   Chris Rabb changes Sean Hannity's name to Scott and then humiliates him in a debate over his platform.   Democratic nominee for U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan's 13 district, Donovan McKinney speaks to the Wall Street Journal about how he is fine with being labeled a Socialist. McKinney points out that although Trump is very unpopular the Democratic party remains even more unpopular because people want champions and fighters for the working class.   Donald Trump is wearing a wig; Brandon disagrees but he is wrong.   At a Trump event in Nevada, Governor Joe Lombardo tries to initiate a moment of silence for a slain Cop but the cattle in the crowd heard his surname 'Abdelnabi' and instinctually start booing.   Stephen Miller has a meltdown on Scott Hannity's show as he tries to fearmonger the geriatric audience with Hasan Piker's comment on America "deserving" 9/11.   As Stephen Miller and Scott Hannity feign heavy hearts over 9/11, we take a look at the 16-year history of Republicans trying to block healthcare for September 11 victims and first responders. all that and more. Mary and Andrew begin this week by addressing the Department of Justice dropping the subpoenas they ordered against New York Times journalists who reported on security concerns regarding President Trump's new Qatari-government-gifted Air Force One jet, noting that the attempt to subpoena the writers speaks to a failed effort of “chilling and intimidating” other reporters. But still, there were even more subpoenas: last week, the DOJ filed subpoenas for 14 major law firms as part of an ongoing lawsuit between the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Executive Office of the President, which Mary and Andrew believe is an effort by the government to try and “get the law firms to pressure the ABA to drop this lawsuit.” They also touch on an update to journalist Katie Phang's lawsuit against the federal government over Epstein files redactions and address Jack Smith's criminal referral by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan. Plus, two immigration-related cases: a judge's decision to throw out a DOJ lawsuit challenging Minnesota immigration laws and an appeal court's decision to reverse a lower court decision releasing Pro-Palestinian activist Mohsen Mahdawi. Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) is telling Senate leadership to cancel the August break and stay on the floor as long as it takes to pass the SAVE America Act. Sens. Rick Scott (Fla.) and John Kennedy (La.) have now backed him up. The bill requires documentary proof of citizenship to register and a real photo ID to vote. That's it: commonsense election integrity that every American understands. Yet Democrats are united against it, and a handful of Republicans keep blocking it. Leadership says there's “not enough time” and “not enough votes.” Lee's response? Object to the recess and force a roll-call vote. With the midterms roughly 100 days away, this is the last realistic window to lock in basic safeguards before another election cycle.
