Prosecuting Donald Trump

Mary and Andrew make Minnesota the focal point this week, after the Trump administration's intensified immigration enforcement efforts in the state culminated in the tragic killing of Alex Pretti by federal agents on Saturday. The co-hosts detail several legal cases related to these efforts: one that challenges how ICE and CBP agents treat protestors and observers, another that aims to preserve evidence in Mr. Pretti's death, and a state case arguing that the federal government is violating the 10th Amendment and Minnesota's sovereignty rights by conducting “Operation Metro Surge”. Then, they turn to what Andrew calls an “extortion letter” sent by Attorney General Pam Bondi to Governor Tim Walz over the weekend, implying that compliance of three demands – including handing over Minnesota's voter rolls – could lead to a reduction of immigration forces in the state. Before wrapping up, Mary and Andrew review a memo surfaced by a whistleblower giving DHS officers authority to forcibly enter homes during immigration enforcement operations.Further reading: Here is a new piece Andrew and Ryan Goodman wrote for Just Security: The Top 10 Questions the Trump Administration Needs to Answer About Minnesota. The killing of Alex Pretti is different from the earlier death of Renee Good in ways that matter politically and institutionally. The video is clearer, the optics are harsher, and the official response has been far less defensible. In this case, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem immediately claimed Pretti brandished a weapon and intended to inflict maximum harm on officers. There is no evidence to support that claim, and there likely never will be. What should have been a period of restraint and investigation instead became a rush to narrative control. That choice carries consequences. Law enforcement credibility depends on patience and precision, not speed. When leadership declares conclusions before facts are established, it erodes trust not just among critics, but among potential allies. The Minneapolis footage has already become iconography, a moment that redefines how many Americans understand immigration enforcement. This will not fade quickly, and it will not be compartmentalized to one incident.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. The DHS Civil War Comes Into the OpenWhat made this whole scene unavoidable is that it landed directly on top of an internal power struggle that has been building for months inside the Department of Homeland Security. On one side are Stephen Miller, Corey Lewandowski, and Kristi Noem, who favor aggressive, street level enforcement driven by visible numbers. On the other is Tom Homan, a hardliner himself, but one who believes deportations at scale require discipline, prioritization, and some measure of public legitimacy. The Minneapolis shooting detonated that fault line. Noem's public statements effectively forced the White House to intervene. Donald Trump responded by dispatching Homan to Minneapolis and opening direct communication with Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey. That is not a coincidence. It is a signal that the White House understands the damage being done and is trying to reassert control through a figure it trusts to stabilize the situation. Whether that effort succeeds depends on whether optics or operations ultimately win inside DHS.Organized Resistance and Local Political RealityAnother element that cannot be ignored is the sophistication of the protests themselves. Groups like ICE Watch were not reacting spontaneously. They were coordinating through encrypted messaging, dividing the city by districts, assigning roles, and establishing rules of engagement. That level of organization changes the risk environment for officers and protesters alike. Obstructing federal officers is a felony, regardless of intent, and these encounters were always going to escalate under those conditions. At the same time, Walz and Frey face their own political bind. Cooperating too closely with federal authorities risks backlash from highly motivated activist groups that have demonstrated an ability to mobilize quickly and aggressively. That tension leaves local leaders squeezed between federal pressure and domestic unrest, a dynamic that makes clean resolutions unlikely.Congress, ICE Funding, and the Shutdown ClockThe legislative consequences are now unavoidable. Senate Democrats are openly stating they cannot support funding bills that continue to finance ICE in its current form. House Republicans moved spending bills forward before the storm, but Senate leadership did not act in time. As of now, a government shutdown by the end of the week looks more likely than not. What makes this moment especially dangerous is that it did not need to escalate this far. With slower messaging, tighter discipline, and less performative leadership, DHS could have contained the damage. Instead, a tragic death has become a defining symbol, one that will stick to this administration through the midterms and beyond. This is the kind of image that reshapes political reality, not for a cycle, but for a generation.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:01:40 - Minneapolis00:23:23 - Update00:24:15 - Trump's Visit to Iowa00:26:08 - UK Conservatives00:27:24 - Vindman Runs for Senate00:31:41 - Evan Scrimshaw on Canada, Carney, and the Midterms01:04:40 - Steelers Talk01:21:46 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. Stephen Miller, Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, J.D. Vance, and the entire MAGA Klan murdered Alex Pretti. They sent Bovino into early retirement, but he must be arrested, along with his agents who shot 10 bullets into Pretti, an ICU nurse for the VA who spent his life helping others. Demand the impeachment of President Stephen Miller: force Trump to throw him under the bus, too. It's a start to the demands for justice.  To honor Pretti and our work ahead, find time to grieve. We cannot power through this collective rage and anxiety without releasing it. Even the strong need to cry in the shower. If we don't sit with our grief, it will force you to. Grieving is an act of resistance. It changes you, and it plants the seeds of justice that we will use to build a better world together. To the people of Minnesota, you have created an American Maidan, standing strong against tyranny. Even Ukrainians, freezing in the cold from Russia bombing their electrical grids, see you, and are calling your movement a Maidan. To grow a real resistance, we share a message recorded by Annie, a Gaslit Nation listener in Minneapolis.  Our victory is guaranteed because our enemies are cowards who hide behind masks. SEASON 4 EPISODE 53: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: Alex Pretti may not have been murdered by Trump's Paramilitary Death Squad AS a warning to American governors and mayors and citizens, but the Trump Dictatorship is exploiting the state-sponsored terrorism against a VA Nurse to issue that warning anyway: You "better support President Trump," said Attorney General Bondi. The implied threat that followed was easy to decipher: if you don't, ICE won't leave your city alone and it won't leave you ALIVE. Bondi's comment came as she explained her (extortion) letter to Governor Walz, offering to remove ICE and Border Patrol from Minnesota providing Walz gives the DOJ records and data and especially his voter rolls. Because it's easier to fix elections if you have the voter rolls. But behind it was the bigger picture: “We sent Governor Walz a very strong letter today. We got it out saying that he BETTER SUPPORT PRESIDENT TRUMP. He better support the men and women in law enforcement because if he doesn’t, we are, and that’s what we’re doing right now.” The United States of America is at this moment without a functioning government. In place of a government, it has a Trump terrorist organization, enforced by a paramilitary death squad, Proud ICE Boys, masked gunmen, street gangs in Nazi leather trenchcoats. We are without a government and we are without a functioning Constitution and we are without a functioning president. We are destabilized – from within – by state sponsored terrorism. Our OWN state. With our OWN terrorist – the worst terrorist this nation has ever faced: Donald John Trump. What to do about it? It starts with the Democrats in the Senate not just attacking ICE funding but shutting all funding down, indefinitely. This Trump junta must be broken. B-Block (35:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: We could devote the segment just to those idiots who defended ICE after the Renee Good murder and are now done, professionally. But we'll limit it to three medalists and some runners-up: two New York Post writers, Tony Dokoupil, Senator Fetterman, Clay Travis, Scott Jennings, Stephen A. Smith C-Block (47:00) COMIC RELIEF: THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: New year, new round-numbered anniversaries. 30 years ago I was wined and dined by a Chicago radio station that was willing to double my salary and build their franchise around me if I quit SportsCenter. And they convinced me to do it. And then half an hour before I was going to say 'let's make it happen' they... took the station off the air.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Two American citizens have been killed by federal agents in Minneapolis in less than three weeks. On January 24, 2026, ICU nurse Alex Pretti was shot ten times..mostly in the back...after trying to help a woman who had been shoved to the ground by ICE agents. Video shows he was disarmed before he was killed. Within hours, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called him a "domestic terrorist." Hours after his death, Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz with a chilling demand: hand over your state's voter rolls, or the federal agents stay. In this episode, Robin connects the dots between the ICE occupation of Minneapolis, the expansion to Maine, and the Trump administration's nationwide campaign to seize voter data from 24 states. (This episode was recorded before the tragic murder of ICU nurse Alex Pretti by ICE in Minneapolis today). On Tuesday, ICE detained a 5 year old boy in Minneapolis. They grabbed him in the driveway of his home after he came home from pre-school, and used him as bait to capture his father. He has now been kidnapped by ICE, and is being held with his father inside an ICE facility in Texas, likely inside the notorious cages we've seen so many pictures of. On this episode of The Siren Podcast, Jo is joined by Miles Taylor, founder of DEFIANCE.org. Miles told us some shocking details about Stephen Miller's role in ICE's kidnapping of children, and how their cruelty here is intentional: “You what was Stephen Miller trying to do? And what I was told, and this is again, early days of the Trump administration, what I was told is there were plans at the White House to implement a deliberate policy of child separation at the border to rip a kid away from a parent as a means of deterrence, so that if you were thinking about coming to this country, you would think twice because the US government would rip your child from you. So it was intentional.” Liam Ramos is just one of at least four children, all from the same school district, who have been detained this month by ICE, according to school officials. The knee-jerk reaction of MAGA and the Trump regime was to call this five year old child an “illegal alien.” Yes, a five year old. According to Marc Prokosch, the family's lawyer, “They came properly. They came legally, and are pursuing a legal pathway.” But honestly, talking about their legal status isn't important anymore. Because ICE doesn't care who is and isn't a U.S. citizen. Last Sunday, ICE broke down the door of an elderly Hmong immigrant and naturalized U.S. citizen with no criminal record. They brought him outside in the freezing cold with no clothes on, and proceeded to drive him around before realizing he was a U.S. citizen. All in front of his now traumatized grandson. We've also seen ICE tackling and pepper spraying journalists and pregnant mothers, all of whom are citizens. And of course, ICE shot Renee Nicole Good in broad daylight, and then proceeded to deny her medical care for eight minutes while she died. And now, an ICE whistleblower has leaked a secret memo written by ICE leadership, meant to be hidden from the public, detailing how ICE agents were verbally given the ability to violate the fourth amendment, saying agents can “forcibly enter into certain people's homes without a judicial warrant.” And get this: Even DHS's own training materials say this is directly unconstitutional. But it's not all bad news. On this episode, Miles tells us his bright, inspiring plans for the future, and how we can all collectively resist against this authoritarian regime. First, Mike argues that Stephen Miller's promise of "federal immunity" to ICE agents is just as reckless as Donald Trump telling Iranian protesters the U.S. is "locked and loaded"—two instances of leaders writing checks their followers' safety can't cash. Then, from the vault (2022): Michelle Tafoya explains why she traded Monday Night Football for political podcasting. She discusses her "conservative libertarian" worldview, admits she might lack the "stomach" for a Senate run, and recounts the "hideous" experience of being "ambushed" on the Dan Le Batard show. I went back and watched Donald Trump's speech at Davos after the reaction to it spiraled into calls for the 25th Amendment. Having seen it in full, I have to say, that response struck me as pretty overstated. The speech was odd, repetitive, and occasionally sloppy, but it was also entirely familiar. Trump no longer has multiple registers. He speaks the same way at Davos that he does in Greensboro, North Carolina. Rally Trump is the only Trump left.Yes, he mixed up Greenland and Iceland, and that matters if you believe he is on the brink of ordering military action. But once the Greenland panic subsided and the White House quietly declared the issue settled, the speech reads less like evidence of incapacity and more like evidence of stagnation. Trump told the same tariff stories, did the same accents, and framed global politics through the same lens of personal deal making. That consistency may be unnerving, but it is not new. If anything, the Davos speech underscored how little adaptation Trump feels he needs to make, even on the world stage.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.DHS Infighting and the Immigration Power StruggleThe most revealing domestic story was the open tension inside the Department of Homeland Security. Reporting that Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski are trying to force out CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott is not just palace intrigue. It exposes a deeper divide between political operatives and career enforcement officials. On one side are Stephen Miller's allies, filtering through Noem and Lewandowski, pushing for maximal optics and aggressive deportation numbers. On the other are figures like Tom Homan and Rodney Scott, who argue that certain tactics erode public trust and make enforcement harder, not easier. Homan's recent media blitz reflects that anxiety. He keeps stressing that deportations are happening, that priorities exist, and that blue state resistance is the real bottleneck. When enforcement professionals feel compelled to publicly justify their competence, it usually means politics has begun to overwhelm operations.Congress Moves, Barely, and Voters NoticeOn Capitol Hill, the House narrowly passed funding for the Department of Homeland Security, overcoming Democratic opposition tied to immigration enforcement concerns. It was not a clean win. Only seven Democrats supported the bill, and the compromises focused on oversight rather than substantive limits on ICE. Still, the broader takeaway is that Congress is moving more bills than expected for late January, even as shutdown deadlines loom.At the same time, new polling suggests Democrats are regaining momentum. An Emerson College survey shows Democrats leading Republicans by six points on the generic congressional ballot, alongside Trump's approval sitting well underwater. Six points is not a wave by itself, but it is the range where wave watching becomes justified. Voters are signaling frustration on affordability and foreign policy, and that dissatisfaction is beginning to register in the numbers. If that margin holds or grows, Republicans will not be able to dismiss it as noise.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:03:23 - Davos00:16:05 - Ryan McBeth on Venezuela00:43:29 - Update00:43:58 - DHS Infighting00:47:18 - DHS Funding00:48:28 - Midterms Polling00:50:13 - Ryan McBeth on Iran01:06:19 - Ryan McBeth on Russia-Ukraine01:14:44 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. SEASON 4 EPISODE 52: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: It's the Big Lie Redux. Trump appears to be planning some kind of SHOW TRIALS over the 2020 Election - and Nicolas Maduro might be his key “witness." He let it slip at the World Economic Forum yesterday. He told the audience in Davos that he will be prosecuting people over the 2020 Election. Never mind that there's nothing to prosecute anybody for; never mind that he lost; never mind that this has already been through the courts: "It was a rigged election. Everybody now knows that. They found out. People will soon be prosecuted for what they did. That's probably breaking news." In the last week, he has twice insisted Joe Biden and his administration ‘should be arrested’ and he has now said "we caught 'em." In his fugue state News Conference Tuesday, Trump had a question planted about ‘finding things out’ from Maduro about 2020. And Maduro's role in some nonsensical conspiracy theory may be the real reason Trump had Maduro renditioned from Venezuela – not drugs. Regardless: all the tea leaves suggest Trump is going to roll out the Big Lie again, this time perhaps with a phony confession from Maduro in exchange for a pardon or something. Trump is insane and desperate, so now he will actually try to focus the Department of Justice and all elected Republicans on prosecuting Biden and others. You think his Greenland Clown Show is crazy? You think his terrorism in Minnesota is crazy? You ain’t seen nothing yet. And god help us if it gets any traction. If media pushback were insufficient to counter the tsunami of propaganda Trump and his criminal gangs could generate, he might try to use the subsequent unrest as an excuse to interfere with the midterms or even rationalize violating the constitution and seeking another term. B-Block (32:30) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Anchors Aweight, Buffalo Bills' owner Terry Pegula, who has fired his coach even though he thinks Sean McDermott did an "admiral" job. Then there's Labor Secretary Lori Chavez DeRemer and the accusations of an affair with a staffer on the public dime. She's chosen to be represented by a lawyer named Dr. Nick. And then there are America's two most overrated journalists Jim "What Is A Woman?" VandeHei, and Anderson "You Really Think Trump Is Insane?" Cooper and yes they each actually asked those questions this week. C-Block (45:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: How different was flying nearly half a century ago? There we were, the president of Cornell University and I, waiting to board a plane from New York to Ithaca and there they were, two airline employees, trying to fix a problem in the undercarriage by stuffing paper towels up into it. What is Europe doing. What is Congress doing? What should Congress be doing. Is it really impossible to imagine an independent caucus removing the GOP from control of the House, Senate, or both? Send us a textToday's episode is an invitation to listen closely—to grief, to courage, and to the hard work of hope. My guest is Darcy McKenzie, a social and political activist in Minneapolis, and our conversation begins where so many lives were altered: George Floyd. Where were you when it happened? What was your response? How did it change you? Darcy answers those questions with honesty shaped by experience—growing up in rural, agricultural America; living with a tenuous relationship to the Church; and carrying the layered truths of atrocities we too often rush past, including the tragic shooting death of Renee Nicole Good.We talk about Minneapolis in the shadow of ICE, about video evidence without a hearing, about the politics of spectacle—cowboy hats and bounty promises—and about what it means to be a military mom when the state feels like a regime. Along the way, Darcy names political heroes and builders—people like Tim Walz, Amy Klobuchar, Tina Smith, Brian O'Hare, and Paul Cumings—and asks what real leadership looks like now. Most of all, we ask what we're hoping for in 2026, and why optimism—clear-eyed, grounded optimism—still makes sense. SHOW NOTESSupport the showBecome a Patron - Click on the link to learn how you can become a Patron of the show. SEASON 4 EPISODE 51: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: In Trump’s War against the United States of America, as he readies 1500 members of the 11th Airborne in Alaska to parachute into Minnesota in a bid to provoke Civil War, as he threatens conflict with NATO while being unable to remember America is IN Nato, is the dictator’s next step an attempt to arrest Joe Biden? To indict Kamala Harris? To convene grand juries to pursue the former First Lady and Jen Psaki and Kareen Jean-Pierre and god knows who else? “Everyone is asking about the Autopen (question mark)” because he’s nearly 80 and he still doesn’t know how to use punctuation marks. It starts with usual Trumpian stupidity and then turns very dark very fast. Quote: “it was an absolutely illegal act perpetrated by the Radical Left Insurrectionists who illegally ran the Biden Administration. Every one of them should be arrested for what they have done… the whole thing was rigged, there must be a price to pay, and it has got to be a big one,” end quote. This is no longer one of those 'signs of his mental illness' from the 1st administration; this is something one of his whores at the Department of Justice will act upon because a) they ARE whores and b) because they are soft and frankly getting an indictment against Joe Biden for something that amounts to “Being President Without Trump’s Permission” is just easier than confronting the whining pants-soiling Jabba the Hutt with bronzer currently occupying the White House – until the floor beneath him collapses. Possibly – given Trump’s weight – LITERALLY. MEANWHILE: We are blackmailing NATO and the EU over Greenland, and he is trying to start a civil war in Minnesota. And his minion is caught on tape ordering CBS to run an interview unedited and this clown Bari Weiss is caught complying. 2026-01-19 | UPDATES #107 | Doing the Devil's Work: Stephen Miller and America's “Law of the Jungle” Agenda. The 21st century has somehow become entangled with the 20th – an echo of fascistic philosophy, predatory empires and a breakdown in global security and trust, that led to the horrors of the second world war. We can witness the 21st century descending into behaviours that almost destroyed civilisation a century ago, and language that echoes that of the side that lost. Stephen Miller is the starkest example of this, but not the only one. Take his appearance on prime-time TV for instance, a senior White House aide arguing, that a country doesn't deserve its territory unless it can physically hold it. Not by treaty. Not by law. Not by self-determination. By brute force. By “territorial control.” Survival of the fittest and nastiest. The target isn't some distant adversary. It's Denmark. A NATO ally. Over Greenland. This is not a gaffe. It's a doctrine. And the face of it right now is Stephen Miller, and quite possibly the architect, from the American side. On Friday night, Stephen Miller went on Fox News and offered what can only be described as a pseudo-legal justification for acquisition-by-bullying. He dismissed Denmark like it was tenant in default, that must be evicted, not as an ally. ----------SUPPORT THE CHANNEL:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.patreon.com/siliconcurtain----------SOURCES: Reuters (Jan 18, 2026): Dutch FM calls Greenland tariff threat “blackmail” AP (Jan 17, 2026): Trump tariff announcement timeline and “Complete and Total purchase” language The Guardian (Jan 17, 2026): tariff escalation reporting The Guardian (Jan 17, 2026): Keir Starmer statement “completely wrong” Le Monde (Jan 18, 2026): Miller's “tiny country” framing and “polar competition” rationale The Daily Beast (Jan 17-18, 2026): Miller's Hannity remarks and “territorial control” formulationCNN transcript (Jan 5, 2026): “governed by strength… force… power” quoteAP (Jan 2026): “In his own words” roundup of Miller's statements and worldview framing The Atlantic (Jan 2026): reporting on Miller's operational control and immigration enforcement targets UN legal materials on Article 2(4) and use-of-force principles Helsinki Final Act / territorial integrity principle (CSCE)----------SILICON CURTAIN LIVE EVENTS - FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN Events in 2025 - Advocacy for a Ukrainian victory with Silicon Curtainhttps://buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtain/extrasOur events of the first half of the year in Lviv, Kyiv and Odesa were a huge success. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz recently made the admission that shutting down the German nuclear power reactors was a “severe strategic mistake.” “To have acceptable market prices for energy production again, we would have to permanently subsidize energy prices from the federal budget,” Merz said, adding: “We can't do this in the long run.” “So, we are now undertaking the most expensive energy transition in the entire world,” Merz said with pronounced frustration. “I know of no other country that makes things so expensive and difficult as Germany.” Keep in mind, Germany represents the largest contributing economy in the European Union.  The German industrial sector is the backbone of the European economic model. On top of everything else, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland, for purposes unknown. This is a very dangerous situation for the Safety, Security, and Survival of our Planet. These Countries, who are playing this very dangerous game, have put a level of risk in play that is not tenable or sustainable. Therefore, it is imperative that, in order to protect Global Peace and Security, strong measures be taken so that this potentially perilous situation end quickly, and without question. Starting on February 1st, 2026, all of the above mentioned Countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland), will be charged a 10% Tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States of America. On June 1st, 2026, the Tariff will be increased to 25%. This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland. This trade weapon has never been used before. In short, yes—a potential trade war triggered by these actions would likely inflict more economic pain on the EU than the U.S., though both sides would suffer. The asymmetry stems from trade dependencies, market sizes, and broader leverage. Trump will counter the EU Raise the threatened tariffs beyond 25% (e.g., to 50-60% on key EU goods like autos, steel, or agriculture) to force concessions. He’s already signaled willingness to go higher if no Greenland deal materializes. Impose sanctions on specific EU sectors or companies, such as luxury goods (hurting France) or tech imports, while exempting allies who break ranks (e.g., if Italy or Eastern Europe hesitate on ACI). Broader Leverage: Link trade to NATO or security, threatening to reduce U.S. troop presence in Europe or cut funding unless EU backs off. He could also accelerate “Buy American” policies to boost domestic alternatives. Publicly dismiss the ACI as “weak” or “all talk” via X or statements, then push for bilateral deals with individual EU countries to divide the bloc (e.g., deals with the UK post-Brexit).  If ACI activates, pursue WTO challenges or rally non-EU allies (e.g., Canada, Japan) against EU measures, while advancing U.S. Arctic strategy independently.   https://twitter.com/FUDdaily/status/2012668421612183897?s=20  on stolen IP with fraudulent certification, and made with slave labour, while plundering the world’s oceans and polluting the planet like no other. Hans Mahncke has a solid take on the bigger picture: “The notion that America wants Greenland for its raw materials is either insanely ignorant or just engagement bait. Extracting anything in the Arctic is prohibitively expensive, and often physically impossible, with extreme cold, thick ice, equipment that won't function, and no roads, rail or ports to move anything once you have it. The real reason America needs Greenland is its immense geostrategic military value, which should be obvious to anyone with a functioning brain, especially anyone who has ever looked at a map from above, with the North Pole at the center. Sure, some tasks could be outsourced to NATO, but that alliance is on its last legs, burdened by too many countries with conflicting priorities, and has mainly served as a way for Europe to freeload on US security guarantees. Relying on it for American national security is reckless. It's far smarter to cut out the endless middlemen and take direct control.” (source) As also noted by Jim Ferguson: “Ursula von der Leyen just went on camera and declared that Greenland “belongs to Denmark and NATO” — directly rebuking President Trump. Let's translate that. This isn't about the Greenlandic people. This is about Brussels panicking because Trump is exposing the Arctic power game. Greenland controls: • the northern missile corridor • Arctic shipping lanes • and the gateway to North America That makes it one of the most important strategic territories on Earth. And Trump said the quiet part out loud: If the U.S. doesn't secure it, China or Russia will. Von der Leyen's response wasn't to protect the West, it was to protect EU control. She wrapped it in pretty words about “NATO unity” — but what she really meant was: Brussels gets a veto over American security. That's what this is about. Trump isn't breaking the alliance. he's breaking the illusion that unelected EU bureaucrats get to decide the future of the Arctic. Greenland is not a Brussels bargaining chip; it is the northern shield of the United States, and for the first time in decades, America has a president willing to say it. Ursula doesn't hate Trump because he's reckless, she hates him because he won't let Europe freeload on American security while selling the future to Beijing.” Source: theconservativetreehouse.com https://twitter.com/kadmitriev/status/2012621940402368862?s=20   War/Peace Iraq takes full control of air base after US withdrawal, defence ministry says  U.S. forces have withdrawn from Iraq’s Ain al-Asad Airbase, which housed U.S.-led forces in Western Iraq, and the Iraqi army has assumed full control, the Iraqi defence ministry said on Saturday. The work continues.   Trump Appoints Rubio, Witkoff, Kushner, And Blair To Gaza ‘Board Of Peace’ The White House announced on Jan. 16 the names of members appointed to the Gaza Board of Peace, which President Donald Trump created as part of phase two of a U.S.-backed plan to end the war in Gaza. Among the “founding executive board” members are U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The board also includes private equity executive Marc Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and U.S. national security adviser Robert Gabriel, according to a White House statement. The board, to be chaired by Trump, will oversee the Palestinian technocratic committee—also known as the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG)—which will be led by former Palestinian Authority official Ali Abdel Hamid Shaath. The White House said each of the members will be tasked with managing Gaza's “governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilization,” which it said are vital to the enclave's stability and long-term success. The administration also named Aryeh Lightstone and Josh Gruenbaum as senior advisers to manage the board's daily strategy and operations, and appointed Nickolay Mladenov, a Bulgarian diplomat and former United Nations envoy to the Middle East, as the high representative for Gaza. Trump also tapped Maj. Gen. Jasper Jeffers to lead the International Stabilization Force, which will oversee security operations and the safe delivery of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials to Gaza. The administration also announced a separate 11-member executive board, comprising some of the founding members, which will support both the technocratic committee and Mladenov's office. In announcing the board's formation on Jan. 15, Trump said the United States will work with Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar to secure an agreement that will require Hamas to surrender all weapons and dismantle its tunnel network. “Hamas must immediately honor its commitments, including the return of the final body to Israel, and proceed without delay to full Demilitarization,” the president said.  Source: zerohedge.com   https://twitter.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/2012227016418816311?s=20    https://twitter.com/RyanSaavedra/status/2012568999738163323?s=20  the slaughter of its people. [GUEST] Matt Wolfson: Israeli Connection to Maduro Kidnapping/ Will Zionists Get Their War With Iran?

Missed signals are costly; misplaced confidence is worse. We open by unpacking the concrete indicators that war planners watch—carrier deployments, airspace changes, and last‑minute strike deliberations—and what they tell us about the real likelihood of a U.S. hit on Iran. From there, the conversation widens to a quieter battlefield: development frameworks that trade normalization for access. Our guest, Matt Wolfson of the Libertarian Institute, explains how the Isaac Accords mirror the Abraham Accords across Latin America, offering water tech, finance, and modernization while pulling states into a specific geopolitical lane. We trace how these packages play out on the ground—smart cities and smart villages that promise efficiency but often centralize control, displace farmers, and refit local economies around external capital. The throughline is leverage: funding and technology become tools to align foreign policy, not just build infrastructure. Tying this to current flashpoints, we connect Venezuela's isolation and Iran's containment to a paired strategy that narrows options for countries considering alternative blocs. Whether or not missiles fly, the architecture of influence expands through boards, grants, and MOUs. Personalities and networks add sharp edges. Reports pointing to Marco Rubio and Stephen Miller as key drivers reflect long-standing alliances among neoconservatives, Zionist donors, and anti-communist exile circles, stretching from Iran-Contra to today. We weigh that ideological push against a president's resource-first instincts and aversion to quagmires, a tension that explains dramatic reversals and transactional messaging. The big takeaway: sovereignty can erode by clause and contract as surely as by cruise missile. If we care about costs and consequences, we need to scrutinize the financing vehicles and “nonprofit” corridors that precede the headlines. If this breakdown sharpened your lens, follow the show, share it with a friend who tracks foreign policy, and leave a review with the one question you want answered next. Your feedback shapes what we tackle in upcoming episodes.

SEASON 4 EPISODE 50: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: The newest crimes this week mean he's now committed 32 of the 40 "sins" Thomas Jefferson accused King George III of in The Declaration of Independence: He's telling those protesting the dead on the streets of Iran that he'll defend them while telling those protesting the dead on the streets of Minneapolis that his 'government' was right to kill them. He's raided the home of a journalist, trampling the 1st Amendment He's threatened taxation without representation over sanctuary cities He's unilaterally cut off visas from 75 countries (including thirteen countries headed here in June for soccer's World Cup) Trump has now lost any remaining moral authority to continue as president of this country. We must peacefully counteract his increasingly repressive and immoral and violent actions and threats and what looks like only two options regarding the midterms and 2028: he wants to either fix the elections for Trumpists or eliminate them outright. Object? He’ll buy you or blackmail you or hire somebody to KILL you. I mean, what are ICE agents if not private paramilitary gangsters, hired by Trump, to kill you? On what Trump promises is “the day of reckoning and retribution” against Minnesota. What do we do next? B-Block (30:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Bill Maher bristles at a joke (well, when was the last time he actually made, or heard, a joke?) There's another new idiot Congresswoman who wants Tim Walz arrested over the murder of Renee Good. And the Fox News writer who believes we are under attack by gangs of ANTIFA WINE MOMS. C-Block (41:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The "Ford Finger" incident with Trump reminded me of the day the right wing tried to bury Tom Hanks over what they thought was disrespect to staffers at a movie event.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today's Headlines: We're starting in Iran, where airspace has been shut down as the US appears to be preparing for a possible strike — even though Trump says (with zero real verification) that the regime has stopped killing protesters. The internet remains mostly offline, US troops are being evacuated from bases across the Middle East, and Iran is threatening retaliation if Trump gives the green light. Meanwhile, JD Vance and Marco Rubio met with Danish and Greenland officials about Trump's ongoing obsession with Greenland, walking away with “fundamental disagreements” and a new working group that solved nothing. Several European countries responded by sending troops, aircraft, and ships to Greenland. Back in the US, DHS claims the ICE agent who killed Renee Good is suffering from “internal bleeding,” as Stephen Miller announced via DHS that ICE agents have federal immunity and that interfering with them is a felony. The First Amendment also had a rough day: the FBI searched the home of Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson and seized her devices as part of a leak investigation — while insisting she's not the target — and the Trump administration opened an investigation into Senator Elissa Slotkin for appearing in a video urging troops to resist illegal orders. The State Department is suspending immigrant visa processing for citizens of 75 countries deemed likely to need public assistance, while also quietly expanding scrutiny of non-immigrant visas. The administration also canceled up to $2 billion in mental health and addiction treatment grants. Elsewhere, the Ford worker who called Trump a “pedophile protector” during a factory visit was suspended, Verizon users endured a widespread outage, and finally, some actual good news: US cancer survival rates are at an all-time high. In today's explosive episode, we dive headfirst into the battle for America's election integrity, starting with President Trump's fiery stop in Michigan where he calls out the absurdity of no voter ID laws in blue states. Trump warns that our entire system has been hijacked by those who encourage voting without verification, teasing a wave of election fraud revelations through his recent videos. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Join us as we uncover the deep-rooted schemes threatening our republic and what must be done to reclaim it before the midterms.Shifting to the heartland, we discuss the massive fraud uncovered in Minnesota, directly linked to ramped-up ICE enforcement and escalating confrontations with agitators. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent drops a bombshell that tapes allegedly showing MN AG Ellison taking money to halt investigations into Somali communities. Hear from Tom Homan on why blue cities and states are blocking ICE from jails, forcing agents into perilous street operations designed to vilify them and distract from immigrant fraud rings. Stephen Miller delivers a powerful message to embattled ICE agents, while Ilhan Omar brazenly vows Democrats will block all ICE funding. These aren't isolated incidents, they're a coordinated assault fueled by radical left rhetoric, and we've got the cuts to prove it.But the deception doesn't stop there: protests erupting across the nation, from Minneapolis ICE clashes to New York rallies over Maduro's extraction, are far from organic. An agitator openly admits to Laura Ingraham they're being paid, and investigative reporters reveal pre-printed signs that scream astroturf operation. In Colorado, Secretary of State Jena Griswold urges Governor Polis not to release Tina Peters amid her high-stakes appeal hearing. We'll have her hearing streaming live for Joe to provide his thoughts. This is the radical left's playbook of useful idiots and funded chaos, and today, we expose the complete op we're living in. Tune in for the truth that could change everything.
