Winding down the month of April, welcome back to another awesome new episode of the Forgot My Dice Podcast! This week the boys deep dive the chibi-miniature-fighting-board-game-standalone-expansion (say that three times fast) Marvel United: X-Men by CMON games. Meanwhile, Robert manages to stick another feather in his cap, meaning yep, he's found yet another version of Dracula to read. Jonathan, on the other hand, finished Area 51 and describes the chapter where the tone of the book changes with a huge record scratch. All this plus some gaming news, a very meh, very average King in All Things movie, and so much more. This week on the FMD Podcast!
There isn't much news, besides my Marvel United X-Men coming in, so checkout an unboxing of that later over on Malts and Meeples. But instead we have a ton to talk about with a crazy fourth episode of Moon Knight. What happened, and what is going to happen, I dive into all of that and give my theories. Thank you again so much for listening. Please considering supporting the podcast by sharing it with your friends, leaving a rating and review, or subscribing. On this episode Adrian, Mitch and Conor wax philosophical with the best pieces of advice that they have ever received, Mitch investigates Schnitzel-gate at the Castle Hill RSL, Conor wrestles with the dilemma of having too many games, and Adrian picks a fight with Mitch over his scathing Batman Returns review. But don't worry - amongst all of this there is still plenty of table top talk. In the Board Game Bracket we settle the last match-up, Gaia Project vs Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth, before we cue up the next battle: Clans of Caledonia vs Too Many Bones. To make sure your favourite goes through to the next round make sure you vote on our socials. Finally, in Swear An Oath, Mitch played Marvel United: X-Men and found he enjoys it solo more than with anyone (surprise, surprise!), Conor made light work of The Hood for the greater good of mankind, and Adrian successfully painted the four minis prior to his next game of Kingdom Death Monster. It's Saturday Morning! Put on your PJ's, pour a bowl of cereal and join me and special guest host, my son Maxton, for a stroll down memory lane on today's Saturday Morning Sniktoons! On our twelfth episode we explore Maxton's earliest X-Men memories, who his favorite X-Character is, and the two of us compare a very special top 5: Heroes from Marvel United: X-Men (a super rad X-Men board game from Kickstarter) we are most looking forward to playing as when they ship next Spring. Afterwards, we continue our chronicle of X-Men The Animated Series, picking up with the eleventh episode of the first season: Days of Future Past, Part One. Make sure you join us again next Saturday as a new special guest host and I return for another Saturday Morning Sniktoons. On May 5, 2021, Marvel United: X-Men successfully funded on Kickstarter, raising nearly $6,000,000 of their $300,000 goal. I backed it, even though I've got some gripes with the 2020 release of Marvel United. Why did I back it? Because if I had even a passing interest in the game, I had to. Why, you ask? Because Kickstarter, baby.Let's take a look at 2020's Marvel United as an entity in and of itself, and then listen as we discuss how Kickstarter has left its mark on it, for better or for worse.Marvel Unitedhttps://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/298047/marvel-unitedTheme & End Credit Music by Javier Suárez (Jahzzar)www.betterwithmusic.com/Check out our new site!www.houseofcardboard.com

The trajectory of spin-offs seems indelibly tied to aquatic environments, so perhaps we ought to accept the inevitable and begin planning for "SVWAG of the Depths" wherein our hosts play games and then talk about them while entirely submerged. Imagine what effect it will have on most dexterity games! Only Chip Theory Games' offerings will emerge unaltered. Sound quality will perforce suffer, as no doubt will the hosts' lungs, but no one said art was going to be easy.Games Played Last Week:01:26 -Formula Dé (Laurent Lavaur & Eric Randall, Eurogames, 1997)01:44 -Automobiles (David Short, AEG, 2016)02:00 -Cubitos (John D.
