This week Chris is tired, Rob gets gilded and John watches F1 and golf at the same time... because it's the same event. Also featured: their Thanksgiving plans, Crokinole tournaments and crypto miners galore. Lastly but not leastly, "Question of the Day" returns regarding AI's use in health care and the education system, a new smart phone alternative is on the horizon and some albums that turn 30 (or 40 depending how you do math) and why they don't feel like it. Welcome to the Torpedo! A show where we give brief reviews and tell you whether the game is a hit or a miss! This episode features our thoughts on the classic Canadian game Crokinole. Crokinole is played on a circular wooden board, with wooden circular disks as playing pieces. Players take turns shooting disks across the circular wooden board by flicking the disks with their fingers. Players try to land their disks in scoring regions on the board, with the highest scoring area the recessed hole in the very center of the board. Each round, each player/side alternately shoots a set number of disks (usually 12 or 8), shooting one disk each turn.
In the initial epidode of season 2, I interview 2023 WCC singles champion, Connor Reinman. We go in depth discussing his victory at the World Crokinole Championships in Tavistock, Ontario.
