The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE with the purpose of protecting the emperor in his afterlife. The figures, dating from approximately the late third century BCE, were discovered in 1974 by local farmers in Lintong County, outside Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. The figures vary in height according to their roles, the tallest being the generals. The figures include warriors, chariots and horses. Estimates from 2007 were that the three pits containing the Terracotta Army held more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which remained buried in the pits near Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum. Also, uh, end-of-round bonuses are cool and change incentives. 00:02:13 Splendor: Duel, Splendor00:03:01 It's a Wonderful World, Race for the Galaxy00:03:18 Skymines, Obsession00:03:47 Frosthaven00:05:54 Harvest, Empyreal: Spells & Steam, Argent: The Consortium00:08:28 FEATURE REVIEW Terracotta Army00:08:37 Origins: First Builders, Nemesis, Lords of Hellas00:09:31 Frostpunk00:10:21 Underwater Cities00:31:38 Bunny Kingdom00:38:09 Tekhenu00:39:07 Verdant00:39:25 FEATURE DISCUSSION End-of-Round Objectives00:43:28 Terra Mystica, Gaia Project, Terra Nova00:46:19 Barrage00:47:33 Wonderland's War00:50:32 THE CONTEST: Win Ark NovaJoin us in the conversation on discord: https://tinyurl.com/2wood4wheatAsk us a question at TwoWoodForAWheat@gmail.comLeave us a review on Apple podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/two-wood-for-a-wheat/id1447901771Read Tony's blog: https://boardgamegeek.com/user/maxlongstreet/blogsThanks to God Street Wine for our intro and outro music: https://www.facebook.com/GodStreetWine/

So, doing something for the betterment of mankind truly was something I wanted to do.” (12:15) (Nadun)“As you know, hydroponics is not a fix for everything in the food sector. We can fix approximately fifteen to twenty percent of the food sector, maximum. But, if you can fix twenty percent, you only have eighty percent to fix. So the problem is lesser.” (25:10) (Nadun)“My original plan, two years ago, was truly to build a full turnkey supply, to go from everything from the channels, to the Hvac, to the automation. What I have learned is you don't have to reinvent the wheel. There's someone who's already invented certain components and are really great at it. And, if you have something great, why don't we just collaborate with each other's companies and come up with a single solution?” (33:36) (Nadun)“I'm glad I have chosen a path that I think there's a potential for it [GAIA Project] to be something really great that can truly change or help mankind. With the highly anticipated Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power show just around the corner, it had us wondering what games might rule all the others? This week we draft our one game, from many popular categories, that would be "The One Game" that we could only play for the rest of our live. We also review recent plays of Picture Perfect, Gaia Project, and Scythe; as well as share out thoughts on the recent CMON Kickstarter project. Have you ever created a sentient monster out of clay to do your bidding but it grew sentient and took its life into its own hands and began destroying homes and buildings around medieval Prague... uh, do you have any advice?Today we review Golem, the new heavy euro by a number of the Italian masters, including Flaminia Brasini, Virginio Gigli, Simone Luciani. It is a twisted thinker... but is it fun?And given all the thinking we've done, we're discussing Analysis Paralysis and whether it stems from the player or the game.00:00:53 Mechs vs. Minions00:03:09 Gloomhaven00:04:46 Gloomhaven00:06:25 Frosthaven00:08:13 Sleeping Gods00:08:22 Golem, Space Station Phoenix00:11:05 Bitoku, Golem, Space Station Phoenix00:11:44 FEATURE REVIEW Golem00:19:07 Teotihuacan00:28:28 Underwater Cities00:30:00 Grand Austria Hotel00:42:20 Lorenzo il Magnifico, Grand Austria Hotel, Barrage00:54:32 FEATURE DISCUSSION Analysis Paralysis00:54:37 FEATURE DISCUSSION Analysis Paralysis00:57:31 Gaia Project, Gloomhaven00:59:44 Twilight Struggle01:00:15 Chess01:00:54 Praga Caput Regni01:02:41 Point Salad, Lanterns01:04:57 Underwater Cities01:07:08 Gaia Project, Terra Mystica01:12:29 Golem01:15:58 Food Chain MagnateAsk us a question at TwoWoodForAWheat@gmail.comLeave us a review on Apple podcasts: https://tinyurl.com/y2eyvquxRead Tony's blog: https://boardgamegeek.com/user/maxlongstreet/blogs
