I've been podcasting for 7 years and have produced 6 podcasts, and I love helping indie creators solve the stuff that all podcasters face: inconsistent content creation, lack of listener engagement, and monetization that feels out of reach. My approach is friendly and grounded in real workflows, examples from my own personal mistakes, and strategies that work even when you don't have a big team. I've spoken at Podcast Movement on monetization strategy (“Sponsorships, Subscriptions, or Support? Choose the Right Monetization Strategy for Your Podcast”), and on how indie podcasters can rival the pros through smart branding, marketing, and monetizing. You are good at your job. You show up. You deliver. You have been doing it for years. So why does it feel like there is nothing left inside it?If you have ever felt like you are going through the motions — present in body but absent in spirit, carrying on with everything while feeling completely numb on the inside — this episode is for you.In Episode 5 of our Women's History Month series, PK names something that most women carry quietly for years without ever having the right words for it. It is not laziness. It is not ingratitude. It is what happens when a woman has been so busy showing up for everyone else that she has gradually — one skipped walk, one unanswered feeling, one "fine, busy, you know" at a time — erased herself from her own life. And the worst part? It happens so gradually that most women do not notice until one day they look in the mirror and think: I am not sure I know who that woman is anymore. In this episode, you will hear:Why professional burnout is not just a work problem — it bleeds into your relationships, your parenting, your sleep, and your physical healthWhy the question "what do you do?" has quietly become the answer to "who are you?" — and what that costs youThe oxygen mask principle — and why putting yourself first is not selfish, it is the only strategy that actually worksSeven practical, research-grounded strategies for reclaiming your professional health in a hybrid, always-on worldAnd the reframe that changes everything: the women who navigate professional transitions with the most grace are not the ones who loved their work less. They are the ones who loved themselves more. You do not have to do it all. You do not have to do it perfectly. And you do not have to do it alone. If this episode spoke to something deep inside of you that you may not have spoken out loud, please leave a review at: https://www.mommasmotivationalmessages.comThanks to RDNE Stock project
What if midlife awakening isn't about having all the answers? What if it's about finally telling yourself the truth? In this deeply personal solo episode, Wendy reflects on her own midlife awakening and the long journey toward self-trust, listening to her body, and no longer explaining away what she knew deep down. For years, she became a master at minimizing discomfort, rationalizing away red flags, and convincing herself that things were "fine." Sound familiar? This episode explores the quiet ways many women lose touch with themselves through people pleasing, self-abandonment, and the habit of putting everyone else's needs ahead of their own.Wendy shares:✨ Why awakening has its own timing

The protein fix for women over 40 that doesn't require tracking, measuring, or losing your mind. Most protein advice was literally designed to make you fail. And the studies it's based on? Done on young athletic men. Not you. What nobody tells you about protein in midlife, the real talk on why you're not absorbing it, how much you actually need, and the fix that doesn't require an app or a food scale. Chalene Johnson spent years obsessing over macros, scanning every package, and still feeling like she was failing every single day. At 57, she's leaner than she was when she was exercising four to five hours a day. She doesn't track. She doesn't restrict. And she finally understands why none of that old stuff was ever going to work. Here's what most protein advice leaves out. Once you're in perimenopause or menopause, your body stops producing the same digestive enzymes. It literally can't break down protein the way it used to. So even if you're hitting your numbers, you're probably not absorbing what you think you are. This is called anabolic resistance, and it changes everything. Why the protein studies everyone quotes were done on young athletic men, not you Why feeling bloated and gassy after eating protein is not a coincidence Why women in midlife actually need more protein than they did at 35, not less Why processed protein products are creating inflammation and working against you Chalene also shares her Smart Girl method for eyeballing protein without a label, app, or calculator, the digestive enzyme tip that was a total game changer, and the one habit every woman she knows who looks amazing at 50, 60, and 70 actually does.

Healing Broken Families: Conversations with Barbara La Pointe (Canada)
Many women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond find themselves asking the same painful question....“How did I end up here again?”In this episode of Healing Forward with Barbara La Pointe, I sit down with psychotherapist, soul-healer, and life-guidance coach Nathalie Volan to explore how unhealed childhood wounds—especially mother wounds—can quietly shape our adult relationships. We discuss how unresolved emotional trauma can create patterns that leave women vulnerable to narcissistic, emotionally abusive, manipulative, or toxic romantic and business relationships. If you've ever struggled with:✨ People pleasing✨ Repeating painful relationship patterns✨ Narcissistic abuse recovery✨ Difficulty setting boundaries✨ Emotional exhaustion✨ Toxic friendships or business partnerships✨ Feeling unseen, unheard, or never “enough”Healing doesn't begin with blaming ourselves. What does it feel like to lose your voice — literally — right before you're about to claim it?That's exactly what happened to me.I recently returned from the Azores — a volcanic archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic that sits on the St. Michael Ley Line, one of the most energetically potent lines on the planet. I went to rest. To restore. To breathe. The island had other plans.Within days, I lost my voice. And in the stillness that followed, something came through clear and undeniable:This isn't just losing my voice. This is an upgrade. What This Episode Is Really AboutI talk about:The woman I saw in a café in Portugal who stopped the entire room just by walking in — and what she taught me without saying a wordSix years behind this mic amplifying other voices while quietly dimming my ownThe visibility wound — what it is, why so many of us carry it, and why it shows up as perfectionism, waiting, and performing invisibility before anyone else can make us feel itWhy losing my voice in the Azores was the old energy leaving — literally, physically, cellularlyMy "fuck it" moment — the quiet internal shift that changed everythingWhat the Empress archetype actually looks like when you stop waiting for permission and start reigningAnd the thing I know now with absolute certainty:My age is not my liability. It is my greatest credential.IF YOU'VE EVER FELT INVISIBLE, THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU.You're in your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. You feel the shift happening inside you. You don't want to light a candle and say a mantra — you want to shed your previous skin, reconnect with what got buried, and step into something bigger than what you've allowed yourself to be.This isn't decline. This is initiation. It's not just a returning. It's a becoming. And your reign? It begins internally.Grab the BookIf this episode resonated, Empress Rising is where we go deeper. This is the book I channeled when I woke up one morning and knew that the years ahead — the Empress Years — are not years of diminishing. They are years of expansion. Of invincibility. Of finally owning the wisdom you've spent a lifetime earning.
Midlife Reinvention, Caregiving & Betting on Yourself with Renée WhiteWhat does it mean to keep evolving in midlife — especially when life asks more of you than you ever expected? In this thoughtful and deeply personal episode of Reinvention Rebels, Wendy Battles talks with sociologist, academic leader, and longtime friend Renée White about caregiving, leadership, identity, self-trust, and the courage to leave spaces that no longer serve you. From caring for parents with dementia to stepping into leadership roles she never planned to pursue, Renée shares how curiosity, discernment, and community helped her continue evolving through every chapter of midlife reinvention.Together, Wendy and Renée explore what it means to bet on yourself, move toward possibility instead of simply running from discomfort, and embrace the concept of Sankofa — bringing the wisdom of your past forward as you continue becoming who you are meant to be.In this episode you'll hear:✨ Why curiosity has been the through-line of Renée's midlife reinvention journey
I used to think getting in shape meant pushing harder. Harder workouts. More intensity. Sweat more. Do more. Don't stop. But after knee surgery… I didn't have that option anymore. And honestly? It forced me to ask a better question: "How long can I support my body?" Instead of… "How hard can I push it?" That one shift changed everything. In this week's Do It My Way episode, I'm sharing what I'm calling: "The New Fitness Formula for Women Over 50: Walk, Stretch, Strength." This isn't about doing less. It's about finally doing what actually works for this season of life. Here's a preview of what I'm breaking down: Why walking isn't "just exercise"—it's therapy It's the most underrated anti-aging tool we ignore because it feels too simple. Some of my best days start with a walk—talking to my daughter, calling my mom, or just letting my mind wander. I always come back clearer, calmer, and ready. Why stretching matters more than your workouts Most women don't have a fitness problem—they have a mobility problem. And you don't lose strength first… you lose range of motion first. Why strength training isn't about looking fit anymore It's about staying capable. My workouts look completely different now, but I feel better than I have in years, and I'm no longer hurting. Why sleep is your most important "workout" If you're not sleeping well, you're not actually getting stronger—you're just exhausting yourself. And the biggest shift of all… Learning to listen to your body instead of overriding it. Because at this stage: Discipline isn't pushing harder—it's knowing when not to. This episode is personal. It's a reset. And for a lot of women, I think it's going to feel like permission. Permission to stop punishing your body… And start supporting the life you actually want to live.

Arlene is warm, heart-centred, and genuinely passionate about her work. She's been through the retirement journey herself. She knows exactly what it feels like to lie awake at night wondering, "Do I have enough money for this? What will I do with myself? Who am I without my career?" And that's precisely what makes this conversation so valuable. We cover: Why the "ceiling test" is the most powerful tool for finding the real problem your ideal clients are losing sleep over How to use your own lived experience as the foundation of a compelling, credible offer What a Quick Win actually looks like for someone preparing for retirement — and how to design one that creates momentum Why personal messages always come before social media posts (and how to craft one that feels natural, not salesy) How to find your first leads even when you don't have an established audience yet The exact wording trap that keeps heart-centred coaches stuck — and the simple shift that makes your message land Whether you're just getting started or you've been at it for a while and things still feel unclear, this session will show you that clarity comes through doing — not waiting. Send us Fan MailI didn't plan to start the episode this way...but I've been noticing a shift in myself lately. Not burnout. Not sadness exactly. Just a quiet feeling of being a little off--less motivated, less connected, not quite like myself. In this episode, I talk through what that's felt like, how adjusting my hormone therapy may be playing a role, and how even small internal shifts can affect everything--from creativity to confidence to how we show up online.I also share how health anxiety, outside opinions, and the pressure to always be consistent can feel louder when you're not fully grounded in yourself. And something I've been thinking about more lately--how women are often taught to be agreeable, quiet, and "not too much"...and what happens when you start stepping outside of that. This isn't a how-to. It's not advice.Just an honest conversation about paying attention to your body, trusting your own patterns, and learning to come back to yourself when something feels off. Support the showThanks for listening to Unscripted: A Calm Take on the Double Standard. These conversations aren't about telling you what to think. They're about slowing down and looking at things from a different angle. If you enjoyed the episode, follow the show and share it with someone who appreciates calm conversations in a loud world. And remember, visibility isn't the same thing as worth
Your Emotions Are Trying to Tell You Something: Emotional HealthWhat if the heaviness you have been carrying — the irritability, the quiet sadness, the feeling that you are one small thing away from falling apart — is not a sign that something is wrong with you, but a sign that something inside you is finally asking to be heard? In Episode 4 of the Women's History Month Reset, PK makes the case that your emotional health is not a luxury, a weakness, or something to manage in private. It is the foundation on which everything else in your life is built. And for midlife women who have spent decades showing up for everyone else, it is the one thing most urgently in need of tending. You'll hear why midlife is the season when suppressed emotions tend to surface — and why that is actually your body's wisdom at work, what the science says about the physical consequences of unprocessed emotions on the midlife female body, why the women most likely to ignore their emotional health are the ones who are strongest for everyone else, and how to recognise the early warning signs before your emotional health begins to spiral.PK also walks you through what it actually means to look under the hood of your emotional life, introduces a framework for understanding what your feelings are telling you rather than managing them into silence, and closes with practical steps you can take today to begin tending your emotional health — before it demands your attention in a way you can no longer ignore.Your emotions are not the problem. They are the signal. And this episode will help you finally learn to read them.Affirmation: "I honor my emotions as messengers of truth. I am worthy of being seen, heard, and valued — beginning with myself."

Robinson, founder of Second Act Inspirations, to talk about what it really means to create a second act lifestyle—not just a new career, but a new way of living, thinking, and showing up in the world. After being downsized at 55 following a 27-year corporate career, Jacqueline made a bold decision: instead of settling, she chose to rediscover herself. They talk candidly about nonlinear career paths and what it means to reach a stage where you can choose what's next with clarity and confidence. Along the way, they find an unexpected metaphor in sourdough bread—patient, resilient, and built over time—much like the careers and capabilities we develop across decades.
What happens when you stop hiding your age and start owning it in your business? This special feature brings you a powerful conversation from the Women in the Middle Entrepreneur podcast, where Patricia Noel Drain steps into the guest seat to share her story as a 78-year-old entrepreneur who refuses to slow down. Your Tribe Is Your Medicine: Social HealthWhat if the most powerful health intervention available to you right now isn't a supplement, a workout plan, or a new morning routine — but a phone call to your best friend? In Episode 3 of the Women's History Month Reset, PK makes the case that your social connections are not a luxury. They are medicine for your mind, your body, and your spirit. And the research to back that up is more compelling than most women realize. You'll hear four reasons why your friendships deserve to be treated as a non-negotiable health practice, what a landmark 80-year Harvard study found about the single greatest predictor of longevity, why the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness a public health epidemic comparable to smoking 15 cigarettes a day, and why midlife women — who are by nature social architects — are also the first to let their friendships slip when life gets busy.PK also introduces a metaphor that will change how you see every relationship in your life, connects women's social power to Women's History Month in a way you won't forget, and closes with five practical ways to start tending your relationship garden — starting today.Your tribe is not a distraction from your work.
