Alright, Magic Makers—today I'm getting a little spicy. I'm calling out the two lies I used to tell myself all the damn time, and if you've ever said, “I'll start when things calm down” or “I just need 30 days to get my sh*t together,” this one's gonna sting (in a good way). Lie #1: “I'll start when life calms down.” Let's be real—when has that ever happened? If you're waiting for your schedule to magically open up, you might be waiting till retirement. I'll tell you how I learned to show up even when life feels like a circus (and yes, sometimes it totally is). Lie #2: “I just need 30 days to get back on track.” Oh, I used to love this one. I'd go all-in, white-knuckle my way through, and then crash hard. Turns out, short bursts don't build lasting change consistency does. I'll show you what finally worked for me (and my clients) once I ditched the “perfect plan” fantasy. Messy action beats perfect planning every single time. I'll walk you through how I picked my 1–3 non-negotiables, those boring basics that actually make progress stick. Spoiler: they're not sexy, but they work. Expect a few laughs, a few “ugh, she's right” moments, and a whole lot of permission to stop waiting for the perfect time and just start now. Your challenge this week: Pick your 1–3 non-negotiables. Write them down. Stick ‘em on your mirror. Then do them, even if it's messy. Especially if it's messy. Mentioned in this episode: – by Gary Keller – My two previous episodes on “” Let's keep the convo going: Come hang out with me in the or tag me on Instagram and tell me your 3 non-negotiables. I love cheering on messy progress—because that's where the real transformation happens. At 62, I'm publishing my first book challenging society's narrative about women after 50. "Empress Rising" rejects the notion that we should fade into invisibility and instead embraces our power as women who rule our own lives with wisdom earned through experience.• Written because women over 50 are often told to slow down, step aside, and become invisible• Inspired by seeing brilliance, wisdom, and power in women in their 50s-80s• Developed the "Empress" concept as an alternative to the limiting "crone" archetype• The Empress rules in her own right, sits on her throne because she's earned it• Share vulnerable personal stories including breast cancer, toxic relationships, and becoming a yoga teacher at 55• Every woman has stories of courage, resilience, and reinvention that deserve celebration• Writing this book at 61 because I finally have the clarity and courage to speak my truth• Message that women are not "old" or "too late" regardless of age• Your empress years aren't coming—they're here now"An Empress is a woman who rules in her own right. She sits on her throne not because someone gave her permission, but because she's earned her place there through every triumph and challenge she's faced."Rose's book "Empress Rising: Own Your Energy, Trust Your Wisdom, and Rewrite the Rules of Aging" launches October 16thJoin the waitlist for "Empress Rising" on my website at rosewippich.com. If you're tired of: ✔️ Monday “fresh starts” ✔️ Calculating every bite and step ✔️ Feeling like health is your second job …then, girl, you're going to LOVE this conversation. I'll share: ✅ The pivotal moments that cracked my “hardcore” fitness identity ✅ Why discipline was really desperation in disguise ✅ How to finally let yourself off the unrealistic hook ✅ And what living The Flip Flop Life actually looks like If you've been craving more joy, less judgment, and a whole lot of freedom, you need to listen to this one.
