Love is in the air—or should we say Je t'aime… moi non plus? Comedian Milo Edwards joins Gráinne Maguire and Chantal Feduchin-Pate for a deep dive into France's most effortlessly cool couple: Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. A whirlwind romance of cigarette smoke, black paint, and an unfortunate incident with a ruler, their love defined an era—though, like a well-worn Birkin bag, it didn't stay pristine forever. This ep is a real treat! Come hear about the classic British Carry On films, they made 31 of them so they must be great! Phoebe Roy and Milo Edwards, our UK correspondents, and hosts of Masters of Our Domain Pod, came on LCB to help us understand these bawdy films. We focused on Carry On Camping, the movie where 90 year olds play 40 year olds and 40 year olds play teenagers, it's a romp!

It's a rare all-in-person Bottlemen episode! Dan and Riley are in the trashfuture podcast studio with Milo and Nate to talk about some Canadian goings-on, but mostly to recount our trip to the British Museum where we were hoping to touch the mummies. Listen to the whole episode at : www.patreon.com/10kpostspodcast. ---- ---- Milo (@Milo_Edwards) joins us once again to talk about the ongoing war in Ukraine, and how its being presented online. In this episode, we talk about how the war has shaped the Russian internet, and whether Putin's plans to build a localised, domesticated internet is even possible, as well as the weird parts of the Russian internet that simply cannot be contained, despite how many wires are cut. We then talk about Russia and Ukraine's digital strategies in promoting propaganda, and the limitations of "winning the social media war" when posts are ephemeral, instantly forgettable and, crucially, too abundant.
Our tradition of watching Corner Gas with non-Canadians continues, as Milo and Phoebe of the Masters of our Domain podcast (and also some other projects like Trashfuture and 10k Posts, respectively) join us to ostensibly watch a couple episodes, but mostly speculate about the Brent Butt-Ukrainian connection. This is so far the least we have discussed Corner Gas. Get the full episode on www.patreon.com/dabottlemen
