In this luminous return to the Hearts Rise Up podcast, sonic mystic and legendary space music composer Jonn Serrie invites us beyond the edges of music and into the sacred space where silence breathes, frequencies speak, and creativity plays like a child running free. What begins as a conversation unfolds as a cosmic remembering—a transmission on the soul of sound, the intelligence of texture, and the spiritual responsibility of the artist in an age of artificial intelligence. In this episode, Jonn weaves stories of childhood dreams, planetary awakenings, and divine synchronicities—revealing how music is not created but received, not engineered but lived. This is more than an interview. It's an initiation into the invisible forces that move through us when we dare to listen beyond the note, trust the muse's voice, and honor the stillness from which all sound is born.Episode Highlights00:00 Introduction03:15 The First Note as Sacred Threshold05:49 Texture Over Technique10:24 Composing from the Temple of Stillness11:00 Synthesizers as Living Beings14:11 Dancing with AI Without Losing the Soul15:57 Sound as Spiritual Weight18:05 The Vision Behind the Note20:10 Music as a Living, Breathing Intelligence21:33 The Voice of the Muse as a Child23:56 Initiatory Dreams & Spiritual Guide27:55 Creating from Cosmic Memory30:21 Returning to Compassionate Sound36:46 Music as Mirror and PortalHeart-centered Wisdom Shared38:55 "Keep that sense of play and creativity alive no matter what, because that's what it is. During his tenure, Jon managed a vast network of over 1,000 branches and 6,500 staff members across 11 states. This interview was filled with GOLD LEADERSHIP LESSONS which required me to divide this one interview into three parts. I've never done this before but it is absolutely needed so nothing is missed.  This three-part series delves into the intricacies of leadership and organizational management. Part 1 – Jon shares his extensive experience and wisdom, highlighting the importance of the Five Driver Model for Success, which includes People, Culture, Strategy, Structure, and Process1. Part 2 –  Managing Conflict & Performance Improvement Our conversation explores handling conflict and improving performance within leadership and teams. We also discuss strategies for managing disagreements, balancing empathy with assertiveness, and ensuring team members are in the right roles. Part 3 – Set The Bar By Knowing Your Numbers As a leader, knowing your numbers is crucial because it demonstrates a deep understanding of your business. Jon Greenwood shares an experience where his CEO, Steve Steinour, would ask detailed questions to ensure that Jonn truly knew his business. This level of scrutiny helped Jon learn his numbers quickly and thoroughly. It also allowed him to make informed decisions and effectively manage his responsibilities. Jon gives us a taste of his current involvement in building a leadership program at Cedarville University which we will have him on at a later date to really go deep into this exciting new leadership program. Here is Part 1 with Jon Greenwood.

Good Lord. Look at the size of this one Doctor. Jonn Elledge - who has a book out right now - has chosen Peter Capaldi's pre-regeneration story which says goodbye to Bill and Nardole (well, for a bit), has two Masters vying for our attention (not to mention three different kinds of Cybermen) and arms its humans with exploding apples. Laughter, tears and explosions in this tense climax (of sorts) to the Moffat/Capaldi era - Jonn and your host will do their best (because that's all one can do isn't it?) to be up to the task of celebrating it. Right, come on Hadoke, do some new series stuff were you don't have the comfort blanket of 50 years of acquired trivia. Fortunately this edition's special guest - columnist and writer Jonn Elledge - is smart and interesting so will make up for any of you host's many deficiencies as they look at John Simm in disguise, Mondassian Cybermen, and a big bloody hole in Bill. In a bit of exciting timey-wimeyness the episode starts with Jonn from the future plugging his new book, A History of the World in 47 Borders, which is out now. Jonn Savannah, formerly Don Snow, was our guest for Episode 96! We had a great conversation about his past experiences at the height of the New Wave Era with the band th e queeze. He strummed his guitar and sang three of his original songs and talked about his contributions to American Idol. Jonn started with the upstart London based Sinceros in the late '70s before moving on to play in the Squeeze. He has shared the stage with some greats, playing with Tina Turner, Van Morrison, Boy George, Roger Daltrey , The Catch, and our good friend @FrancoixSimard. Why did he change his name? What's it like to be a music mentor, a producer a singer/songwriter and performer? Tune in to find out! There are really great stories of his life, lyrics and long journeys in the entertainment industry. We hope you will listen in. #jonnsavannah #tinaturner #thesqueeze #vanmorrison #rogerdaltrey #newwave #squeeze #lawhorneandsurabian #musiciansandbeyond #originalmusic #originalsongs #donsnow #sinceros #TheVibrators #BuzzCocks #SeabrookIdol2024 #americanidol #musicpodcast #hammondorgan #musicbusinessmentor #fantasiabarrino #jenniferhudson #teddyswims --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/musiciansandbeyond/support
