Elohim is a Hebrew word meaning "gods" or "godhood". Although the word is grammatically plural, in the Hebrew Bible it most often takes singular verbal or pronominal agreement and refers to a single deity, particularly the God of Israel. In other verses it refers to the singular gods of other nations or to deities in the plural which begs the question, were these gods mere idols made of stone and wood or were they real? This week, Joel is joined by Pastor Justin Kiser to unravel the mystery of the Elohim of the Bible and their connection to the mysterious Divine Counsel. They take a look at famous gods like Baal, Ashteroth, and Molock. Finally, they take a look at Genesis 1:26 and the depths of what Yahweh has created when it comes to these Elohim. The plans of the neopagans that run today's democrat party are in panic. Their carefully crafted plans of “back-to-back” lawfare trials in Georgia and the 2 federal trials are in danger of falling apart. People are not buying the bogus and nonsensical verdicts out of the spiritually bankrupt state of New York. Even that case is most likely to be overturned on appeal. Then there is seemingly deep-state attempt on Donald Trump's life, as increasingly the idea of a recent high school. Graduate pulling of such an attempt is falling apart at the seams. The deep state and Molock worshipers are in panic, making them increasingly dangerous. At a minimum, they must dump Biden, but they may do even more nefarious things. Dr. Sherry Davis Molock, is a Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Molock teaches undergraduate and doctoral courses in clinical psychology and conducts research on the prevention of suicide and HIV in African American youth. Thirty years ago, she first discovered her calling was to help prevent suicide among Black people, as rates of suicide continued to rise in Black adolescents. Since then, she has been adamant that Black churches could lead the way on teen mental health and suicide prevention and has worked diligently to implement suicide prevention programs for Black youth in predominately Black churches. In addition to her work in psychology, Dr. Molock and her husband, Guy Molock, Jr., are the founding pastors and Pastor Emeriti of the Beloved Community Church – United Church in Christ in Fort Washington, Maryland. Their ministry focuses on “family healing” that is designed to bring spiritual, physical, and emotional healing to the community. She joins program host Dr. Chris Meek on Next Steps Forward to discuss a reluctance in the Black community to acknowledge mental health problems, how her work continues to challenge misconceptions about Black people and suicide, how faith leaders can recognize mental health issues within their own congregations and ensure their parishioners are comfortable speaking about them, and both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for her HAVEN Connect Workshops.

Welcome to season 7 of Podcasting Is the New Kink! This season is all about Black women yogis and it will be filled with many different yoga practitioners who have one thing in common: being committed to wellness and healing. To start it off, I interviewed Ebony Molock, Founder of Empowered Rest Yoga, and we talk about taking up space, yoga extending off the mat, expanding your knowledge, being empowered and rested, and much more!We talk:The difference between Shakti and empowered rest - 3:56Steps Ebony took to pivot her business - 19:08Benefits of yoga - 28:49One thing everyone needs to know about yoga - 40:04Advice for yoga beginners - 51:20One of the main themes that kept coming up in this interview was the notion of getting unstuck and making a change. Have you ever felt stuck? Like you were running on autopilot doing the same thing over and over, and couldn't make any changes? Like you could see the path you wanted, but you couldn't take the steps to get there? I've felt like that at multiple points in my life, but I felt it the most right before I got laid off. If you've heard my story then you know that I was miserable working full-time in a job I hated and having multiple side-hustles just to have a creative outlet. Instead of making a choice, I waited for something to change. That layoff was my wake-up call. I started my podcasting business shortly after that, and this podcast shortly after that. I was sort of, pushed out of my comfort zone. But, you don't have to wait for that push. You can choose to get unstuck and change to your life, and in this episode, Ebony talks about the steps she took when it was time for her to do just that:Found a new job that paid moreCut off multiple yoga classes/hustled lessTook more yoga classes/deepened educationDove in!Now, she never said it was easy. She actually said that it wasn't easy to follow this calling, especially at first. But, once she let go and trusted in God and put herself in the position to receive, she got a flood of support, letting her know that she made the right decision.Check out Ebony's website yogawithebony.com and Instagram @blackyogi_magicEpisode references:Sanskrit Moon YogaYoga & Mimosas - Every Sunday in May!empwrd.rest.yoga Podcasting Is the New Kink! is a Black-owned, woman-owned podcast, and we support other Black, Indigenous, Women of Color-owned podcasts and businesses. There is a lot to glean from the life of Samuel! He stands out as one of the most unique prophets and figure in all of Israel. In this sermon preached by brothers Justin Treaster & J.J. Molock, we glean from the things Samuel got right and the things he got wrong. We learn that even the most Godly can mourn in a way that God may not approve of, but also have seen the way in which God can open our eyes and ears that we might hear again. The answer was clear in Samuels life, to be hollowed out like the horn Samuel carried and to go fill it again with oil to anoint future kings. That is what we will and are doing.

Favor and fellowship with the father, true fellowship with the brotherhood, freedom from the fear of death, the very kingdom of God, etc. The list goes on and on. It pleased God to make his law great and glorious. Brothers Justin Treaster and J.J. Molock lead us on a riveting study of the scripture relating to this subject matter. What they found was that to God, to make his law glorious and to make his son glorious are one in the same. What's more is that Romans 8 tells us that we are sons who are being led by the spirit of the father. We can take a survey of our lives over the past decade and see exactly how he has been making us more glorious as sons. What's left for us is to make our sons more glorious in the same way that God does, by the Word.

Guns and Mental Health by Walk the Talk America

Dr. Sherry Molock is an associate professor of psychology at the George Washington University and also holds a Master of Divinity degree. She works with faith-based communities to educate on sexual matters, HIV/AIDS, and suicide prevention. Mike met Sherry through their work together with Convergence, a group of disparate leaders across the firearms, violence, and suicide prevention communities across the United States. When she began her involvement she lacked any knowledge of guns whatsoever and has grown to understand the reasons that people own guns and advocate to protect that right. Her work in multiple arenas to bridge the gap between seemingly divergent and incompatible viewpoints and cultures contributes mightily to the conversation about guns and mental health. We hope you find this conversation as enjoyable as we did.

Hola Hola G&Gs, So in this EP, I talk with Dr. Richard Molock. I co-organized a panel on diversity and inclusion in the crypto space at Bowie State. And had the chance to met Richard. He made some very insightful points about how even in America there are issues with locations being a barrier to entry into cryptos. We kept in contact and he was interested in sharing his story. We talk about some of the basic things to remember and how this new technology is creating new jobs and opportunities and people can take advantage of. For towns who relied heavily on production plants, those days of lifetime work are long gone. The older and new generation need to understand what blockchain technology can mean for their future. If you want to get into the space but have been scared to cross the line. I hope this EP motivates you to make that next move. It's not as hard as you think. If you or anyone you know is interested in sharing their crypto story. Please reach out and lets set some time up to talk. I would love to have you on and share your story. This is a poem I wrote, also in 2009, using a chance method. As quickly as I could, I scribbled words and phrases that came to mind onto note-cards and tossed them into a pile on the floor. When I'd gone through a sufficiently sizable number of cards, I picked up the pile, shuffled them, and flopped them face down onto a table. Then I grabbed an four sided die from a Dungeons & Dragons game, rolled it for every card in the pile, and wrote the number that came up onto the back of the card. Then I flipped the stack over and copied the words or phrases on each card the number of times indicted on the back of the card onto a piece of paper. The "cheating" happened when I decided to manipulate a few of the random outcomes, just a teeny, tiny bit. (It's my game, and I can break the rules if I want to!!!) And, for the recording of this piece, because of the disjointed nature of the word flow, I thought the perfect vehicle would, again, be the synthetic voice. Oh, what fun! "Blindfold, Shuffle, Roll the Die (and Cheat)" ... Hot. So hot. Rules the Earth. Rules the Earth. Rules the Earth. Rules the Earth. Blip. Blip. I don't know why I wanted it. But I got it. I don't know why I wanted it. But I got it. Test the waters. Test the waters. Lumbering giant. Lumbering giant. I'm Lost. Lost. I know that now. I'm Lost. Lost. I know that now. Tut.. Bunk.. Psychological break-throughs Usually happen after dark. Psychological break-throughs Usually happen after dark. Psychological break-throughs Usually happen after dark. Rumpled.. It's better not to know Who's watching you. It's better not to know Who's watching you. Munchie. I lean on my pen. I lean on my pen. I lean on my pen. Prick. Rumble Grumble. Molock. Molock. Stoned. And in love. Left alone. Just for a few seconds. Get up. Flowers growing. Nipped bud. Nipped bud. Nipped bud. He's a good man. And thorough.
