If the Bulls end up picking in the #7-10 range, who will be the best prospects on the board? Should Bulls fans believe in the “groundwork” calls AK was making as the deadline passed for big offseason moves?

Ken bet in favor of Zion Williamson, and Rick bet in favor of Ja Morant. While Ja Morant was named Rookie of the Year, Ken believes that he should not be compelled to pay. He says that the pandemic caused too many complications. The bet should be voided. But, Rick says that Ken needs to pay up! Who's right? There I said it, Banchero is unofficially the NBA Rookie Of The Year for season 2022/23. He has to be, from day one with the Orlando Magic he was the alpha and never looked back. I love Jalen Williams, what he has done for OKC in year one can't go unnoticed, the same with Walker Kessler and even Shaedon Sharpe to an extent, but only one name remains at the top, Paolo Banchero.
Jason Walker gives his thoughts on Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler being finalists for the Most Improved Player and Rookie of the Year awards, respectively. Also an excerpt from the Light the A podcast interview with Danny Sprinkle.
The NBA season tipped off this week but it's not too late to look ahead at the big awards — MVP, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, etc. — and not just make a prediction on who will win, but talk about how to bet them. And bet those NBA futures wisely. When thinking MVP, it's not just the player but is the team winning enough? With Rookie of the Year, it's about volume. Can another guard get the Defensive Player of the Year award? Drew Dinsick of NBC Sports Edge joins Kurt Helin and Corey Robinson of NBC Sports to talk title and award predictions, what the archetype is for players who win that award, and who everyone is picking. There's a lot of Joel Embiid love for MVP, and Jordan Poole is a Sixth Man favorite.

Anthony Edwards was not awarded the Rookie of the Year award for the 2020-21 NBA season on Wednesday as it went to Charlotte's LaMelo Ball. Did Edwards get robbed or was Ball deserving? Host Brendan Hedtke couldn't tackle that question alone, so he needed some help. There's nothing quite like talking to your boss about basketball, so Brendan had Canis Hoopus' Editor-In-Chief and certified Wolves Optomist Kyle Theige on the podcast to discuss that topic and more.On the front end of a podcast back-to-back for Thursday and Friday morning, Brendan and Kyle talked about the ROY winner (sans the voting results which were not released at the time of recording), new owner Alex Rodriguez's Instagram reply about not moving the team, and more!Come back tomorrow for more content from Brendan and Kyle, including thoughts on the upcoming draft lottery, draft lottery party details, and the duo's thoughts on how far the Wolves are from being on a level playing field with some of the mid-tier playoff teams.Privacy Policy and California Privacy Notice.
Wednesday was so insane around the NBA we barely talked about Kevin Durant having a game for the ages the night before. Chris Paul and COVID, Kawhi Leonard and his ACL, Stan Van Gundy out in New Orleans, then Scott Brooks out in Washington, Donnie Nelson out as GM in Dallas, and LaMelo Ball being named Rookie of the Year. It's almost too much to process, but Kurt Helin and Dan Feldman of NBC Sports give it a shot — and they take a couple of listener questions.Privacy Policy and California Privacy Notice.
Midway through the final week of the regular season, Matt Stroup is joined by Ryan Knaus, Raphielle Johnson, Dr. A and Jared Johnson to discuss an absurd late-season heater from Domantas Sabonis and how high we rank him moving forward. We also look at Russell Westbrook as a major common denominator on fantasy championship squads, debate the Fantasy Rookie of the Year (LaMelo Ball vs. Tyrese Haliburton vs. Anthony Edwards), and consider why Clint Capela and Julius Randle were so underrated in drafts heading into this year.
Who was the MVP for the first half of the NBA season: Joel Embiid? LeBron James? Nikola Jokic? Is LaMelo Ball running away with Rookie of the Year? What about Coach of the Year, should it be Quin Snyder with the Jazz? Tom Thibodeau with the Knicks? Don't sleep on the job that Gregg Popovich is doing with the Spurs. Kurt Helin and Dan Feldman of NBC Sports dive into both of those and the rest of the major NBA awards at the mid-point of the season.
