Gribētos sākt ar Kolumbijas oficiālo nosaukumu, kas, starp citu, ir atvasināts no pētnieka Kristofera Kolumba uzvārda, par ko plašāk pastāstīsim desertā. Bet interesanti, kaalsts nosaukums angliski tiek izrunāts "Col-o-mbia", nevis "Col-u-mbia", kas ir izplatīta kļūda spāniski nerunājošo vidū. Latviski gan šī nianses nebūs jūtamas. Popmūzikas pazinēji noteikti uzreiz zinās, ka Kolumbija ir arī Šakiras dzimtene. Un faktiski jau Kolumbija ir viena no atpazīstamākajām valstīm pasaulē. Neskatoties uz savu vardarbīgās valsts titulu tā tiek bieži atzīta par vienu no laimīgākajām valstīm pasaulē. Tā, faktiski 2013. un 2014. gadā Kolumbija pretendēja uz titulu “Pati laimīgākā valsts pasaulē”. Saskaņā ar Laimes un cerības barometra aptauju, par kuru runājām iepriekšējā sezonā stāstot par Norvēģiju, Kolumbija vienmēr atrodas saraksta augšgalā. Vēl viens aizraujošs, bet mazināms fakts ir, Kolumbija ir otrā bioloģiski daudzveidīgākā valsts pasaulē pēc Brazīlijas un ir viena no tikai 17 “megadaudzveidīgajām” valstīm. Tajā ir lielākais sugu skaits pēc platības pasaulē, tostarp vairāk putnu sugu nekā visā Eiropā un Ziemeļamerikā kopā. Tas nozīmē, ka aptuveni viena no 10 sugām uz zemes ir sastopama tieši Kolumbijā, bet valstī vienlaicīgi pastāv gan tuksneši, gan lietus meži, gan plaši atvērtas savannas, kas ļauj attīstīties gandrīz jebkura veida dzīvajām radībām. Daudziem klausītājiem, it īpaši, "Netflix" "Narcos" seriāla faniem Kolumbija būs ar daudzām lietām un faktiem zināma. Pablo Eskobaru, piemēram. Tos lielā mērā finansē narkotiku tirdzniecība. Slavenāko no šiem grupējumiem dēvē par Kolumbijas Revolucionārajiem bruņotajiem spēkiem jeb FARC. Pastāv tie kopš tālajiem 1950. gadiem un ir tradicionāli bijuši ar marksistiski-ļeņinistisku politisko elpu. Pret ASV vērstais antiimperiālisms un zemnieku tiesību aizsardzība ir bijuši to politisko aizsākumu popularitātes cēlonis. Kolumbijas valdība tikai 2016. gada novembrī parakstīja galīgo miera līgumu ar FARC, kuras biedru skaits tika rēķināts apmēram 10 tūkstoši cilvēku. Vienošanās aicināja FARC locekļus demobilizēties, atbruņoties un no jauna iekļauties sabiedrībā un politikā. Vienošanās arī uzlika Kolumbijas valdībai pienākumu izveidot trīs jaunas institūcijas, lai izveidotu visaptverošu sistēmu patiesai, taisnīgai valstij, iekļaujot īpašu vienību, kas koordinētu karadarbības laikā pazudušo cilvēku meklēšanu. Neraugoties uz gadu desmitiem ilgušajiem iekšējiem konfliktiem un ar narkotikām saistītajiem drošības izaicinājumiem, 49 miljonus iedzīvotāju lielā valsts Kolumbija saglabā salīdzinoši spēcīgas un neatkarīgas demokrātiskas institūcijas, ko raksturo mierīgas, pārredzamas vēlēšanas un pilsoņu brīvību aizsardzība. Savukārt Kolumbijas ekonomika ir ceturtā lielākā Latīņamerikā pēc iekšzemes kopprodukta. Kolumbija ir arī Latīņamerikas ceturtā lielākā naftas ražotāja un pasaulē ceturtā lielākā ogļu ražotāja, trešā lielākā kafijas eksportētāja un otrā lielākā griezto ziedu eksportētāja. Kolumbija ir pirmajā vietā pasaulē smaragdu eksportā. Līdz pat 90 % pasaules smaragdu nāk no Kolumbijas. Un Kolumbijas smaragds ir ļoti cienīts dārgakmeņu pasaulē, tieši tā dziļi spilgti zaļās nokrāsas dēļ. Konkurējošie smaragdi ir sastopami tikai Zambijā. Nafta ir Kolumbijas galvenais eksports, kas veido vairāk nekā 45% no kopapjoma. Un nav brīnums, ka tā ir arī trešā lielākā kafijas eksportētāja, Kolumbijā ir lielākais Arabica kafijas pupiņu ražotājs pasaulē. Tomēr, valsts IKP uz vienu iedzīvotāju  ir divas reizes mazāks, salīdzinot to ar Latviju un tas ir tikai aptuveni 17 tūkstoši eiro liels pēc pirktspējas paritātes, izmantojot Pasaules Bankas datus. Vēl Kolumbijā ir visstraujāk augošā informācijas tehnoloģiju nozare pasaulē, un tai ir garākais optiskās šķiedras interneta tīkls Latīņamerikā. Kolumbijā ir arī viena no lielākajām kuģu būves nozarēm pasaulē ārpus Āzijas. Bet galvenie tirdzniecības partneri Kolumbijai ir ASV, Ķīna, Eiropas Savienība un dažas Latīņamerikas valstis. Tomēr nedrīkst arī aizmirst par vienu no galvenajām aizliegtajām Kolumbijas nozarēm – kokaīna tirdzniecību. Valsts ir arī pasaulē lielākā kokaīna ražotāja. Ilgu laiku tā ierindojas pirmajās pasaules trijniekā, paralēli konkurējot ar Peru un Bolīviju. Vēl aizvien katru gadu Kolumbijas valdība konfiscē aptuveni 80% visa saražotā kokaīna. Vienlaicīgi aptuveni 100 tonnas nonāk pasaules tirgos. Par to, kā kokaīna tirgus darbojās Kolumbijā un nonāk tirdzniecībā jautājām organizācijas “Globālā iniciatīva pret transnacionālo organizēto noziedzību” direktoram Valteram Kempam.

She studied music in the Baja California orchestra and its acting  training started at the Faculty of Arts at the same University. She start her career  as Tv host in different shows in Tijuana, San Diego and Los Angeles.In Mexico city she worked on productions like Paquita la del Barrio, Jenny who I met (Latin-American platform), El Cesar (amazon prime), Yankee (Netflix LATAM), Pursued, Among other projects. In foreign productions she worked on the Amazon series The Romanovs directed by Matthew Weiner, Narcos Mexico season 2  and she's working in season 3 which is going to be released in 2021 and is about to star in the film The repeater being his first film in the United States.
