One morning in November of 2011, a wheelchair-bound woman and her full-time caregiver were at home when there was a knock on the front door. The caregiver got up and walked over to the door and opened it up, but there was no one there. And when she looked up and down the road, she didn't see anyone walking or driving away. Then, she looked down and noticed there was what appeared to be a gift on the porch, but there was no tag on it. So, the caregiver brought it inside and put it on the kitchen table, and told the woman she was caring for that because this was not labeled, they shouldn't open it for now. However, later that day, when still they didn't know who had sent it or what it was, the woman in the wheelchair was curious, so she secretly grabbed the gift off the kitchen table and opened it up. And the second she did, absolute chaos ensued...For 100s more stories like these, check out our main YouTube channel just called "MrBallen" -- https://www.youtube.com/c/MrBallenIf you want to reach out to me, contact me on Instagram, Twitter or any other major social media platform, my username on all of them is @mrballenSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to a very special episode of the Spanky podcast. Today's episode will feature a new spanker and her name is Mama Cass. Yes that is my butt that is my thumbnail for this episode. She is the spanker I've been dreaming for when I want a African-American spanker. She is fairly new at this so please cut her some slack as we're just trying to get adjusted to one another we did a Hollywood reenactment based on the what's happening episode the present. The present was based on when Roger got a belt spanking from his mother because his mom thought he had stolen a dress for another girl and it was also playing craps that got him in trouble too. This script was very similar and very much alike that but Michael in this case still got spanked at the end because mom had to teach him right from wrong even though he was still trying to buy the dress for her for her birthday. Mama Cass started off with the bill worked her way with the spoon and then finished with her hand for a few slots again she'll get better as I get her in for more episodes which we'll hope. Please enjoy this episode as I'm very happy with the results for the first one --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/spankypodcast/support

After it aired I asked him if we could share the interview on the Path and Present Podcast and he said, "of course." So this episode is a little bit different: Instead of me asking the questions, this time I was getting asked the questions. Enjoy! Love and Light! He tells about the obstacle that blocks people from embracing and accepting The Other--ignorance. We're mixing things up a little bit here at The Low Down. We decided to feature a discussion from Past Present, a podcast that's produced by three Columbia alumni: Nicole Hemmer '05GSAS, '06GSAS, '10GSAS (a research associate at the Miller Center for Public Affairs in Charlottesville, Virginia), Natalia Mehlman Petrzela '00CC (an assistant professor of history at The New School), and Neil Young '04GSAS, '05GSAS, '08GSAS (a historian and author of We Gather Together: The Religious Right and the Problem of Interfaith Politics). Each week, these three historians take an hour to debate and rehash the latest political and cultural developments in the US and beyond. And we wanted to give you a little taste of it. This episode grabbed us, not only because the conversations were fascinating and insightful, but also because the discussions focused heavily on alumni from Columbia and Barnard: Ruth Bader Ginsberg '59LAW, in a segment about the passing of Antonin Scalia, and Joan Rivers '54BC, in a segment about women in comedy. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Check out Past Present: http://www.pastpresentpodcast.com MORE COLUMBIA NEWS: https://alumni.columbia.edu http://thelowdown.alumni.columbia.edu

I have my head down, focused on my plans and getting things done. It is not uncommon for me to go days without really experiencing the present. It's not good for me. It's not good for my work. It's not good for my family. I'm a dreamer. My number one strength according to the book, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/159562015X/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=159562015X&linkCode=as2&tag=entrearchitect-20&linkId=KN7ZYGHURK7HOGCN (StrengthsFinder 2.0), is Futuristic: “People who are inspired by the future and what could be and they inspire others with their visions of the future.” I love to dream about what could be. I've done it my entire life and I don't want to change. One of the reasons that I have accomplished so much in my life is because I dare to dream big dreams. But its important to live today; to experience the “here and now” and enjoy this day. It's important to be present. In this episode of the EntreArchitect Podcast, I am going to share my 5 Rules for Living Your Life in the Present. This episode is sponsored by http://www.getfocusedcourse.com/ (GetFocused Course).
