A powerful story of unconditional love, biblical wisdom, and transformational parenting on The VIBE Podcast with Kelly Cardenas. In this emotional and motivational episode, Kelly shares how his mother's simple words — “I'd love you even with poop on your face” — carried life-changing wisdom rooted in Proverbs 31.Growing up, I gave my mom plenty of reasons to quit on me.My name on the board with checkmarks.Detention.Coming home late. Not doing homework.Bad grades.Procrastination.Stupid financial decisions.Horrible music.Silly brushes with the law.And some truly bad judgment. And through it all… she loved me anyway. We used to laugh every time she said she'd love me even with poop on my face. But only now — as a parent — do I realize the profound strength packed inside that one sentence. That wasn't just humor. That was wisdom. That was perseverance. That was unconditional love in action. My mom wasn't beating me with the Bible or preaching sermons at me.She was living Proverbs 31 every single day.She modeled:Confidence.Hard work.Wisdom.Prudence.Honor.Ingenuity.Perseverance.Beauty of character. And because of her character, our family was built on respect, resilience, and reverence. The true power of a mother isn't just what she says — it's what she endures with love and grace. She didn't just promise she'd love me through my mess…She proved it.This episode of The VIBE Podcast is for anyone who's ever felt imperfect but deeply loved — and for parents who are building foundations that will last generations.

Wednesday night Bible study with Pastor Craig Hall teaching from Calvary Chapel Fortuna.
Do you ever feel like life has become louder, faster, and more demanding than your heart was meant to carry? In this week’s episode of The Love Offering Podcast, I’m joined by counselor, author, and farm-living mama Brenda Yoder to talk about her new book, Uncomplicated: Simple Secrets for a Compelling Life. This conversation is a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deep, and rediscover the wisdom that once shaped steady, grounded lives. Brenda draws from the practices of our grandmothers and the rhythms of Amish and Mennonite communities to share practical, life-giving lessons for today’s busy women. We talk about what it looks like to resist the pull of constant chaos and instead cultivate a calm presence, authentic faith, and a steady voice of reason—right where you are. In our conversation, you’ll hear: Why simpler doesn’t mean easier—but it often means better How timeless practices can bring peace to modern life What past generations can teach us about faith, work, family, and rest Small, practical shifts you can make to live with more intention No matter your season of life or where you call home, this episode offers encouragement and wisdom for anyone longing for a more grounded, meaningful way of living. You can listen to the episode now wherever you get your podcasts. I pray this conversation meets you right where you are and reminds you that a simpler life is still possible—and deeply compelling. He is seldom early, never late, and always right on time—and Proverbs 31 explains why preparation changes everything. This episode breaks down ancient biblical wisdom that connects preparation, opportunity, confidence, and purpose—showing how integrity and hard work position you for perfect timing. My mom used to tell me, “Look, I don't have all this figured out—but I'm committed to figuring it out with integrity.” That truth has followed me my entire life. There's an ancient wisdom that perfectly captures this idea: seldom early, never late, always right on time.Seldom early means you weren't prepared yet.Never late means the opportunity was designed specifically for you.Always right on time means preparation finally met opportunity. In Proverbs 31, we see a powerful blueprint for life and leadership—one rooted in confidence, value, hard work, perseverance, intelligence, ingenuity, wisdom, prudence, honor, and beauty. These traits don't just build character—they position you for divine timing. This episode explores how biblical wisdom impacts:Confidence and personal valueWork ethic and perseveranceIntegrity-driven preparationLeadership, purpose, and timingWhy your opportunity won't leave without youIf you've ever felt behind, rushed, or uncertain about your timing—this message is for you. You're not late. You're being prepared.

1 The words of King Lemuel—the revelation which his mother taught him: 2 "Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows! 3 Don't give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. 4 It is not for kings, Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes to say, 'Where is strong drink?' 5 lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the justice due to anyone who is afflicted. 6 Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, and wine to the bitter in soul. 7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 8 Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. 9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." 10 *Who can find a worthy woman? For her value is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar. 15 She rises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and portions for her servant girls. 16 She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. 17 She arms her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn't go out by night. 19 She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. 20 She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant. 25 Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom. Kind instruction is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn't eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her: 29 "Many women do noble things, but you excel them all." 30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works praise her in the gates! Listen Subscribe: Proverbs Daily Podcast Psalms Daily Podcast

Haman's wrath against Mordecai and the Jewish people has returned on his own head. On today's episode, Esther continues to represent her people before the king, turning a day of mourning into a day of rejoicing. As we finish Esther we'll be turning back to the historical narrative recorded in the book of Ezra in which we learn of a new Persian king named Artaxerxes. While historians differ, it is believed that Artaxerxes' father is the Ahaseurus from Esther, known more broadly as Xerxes. We are also introduced to the man for whom the book of Ezra is named as he is sent by Artaxerxes to Jerusalem.Esther 9 - 1:05 . Esther 10 - 8:11 . Ezra 7 - 9:06 . In this episode, Kelly Cardenas dives deep into the power of not taking life so seriously. Laughter isn't just medicine—it's a mindset that opens the door to joy, wisdom, and divine alignment. Proverbs 31 reminds us that joy is noble, confidence-building, and wildly contagious. When you laugh, you invite magic into your current circumstances. Joy makes you more diligent, intelligent, generous, and dignified—it shapes your words, protects your peace, and even enhances your beauty. It's not that serious. So today, find something—anything—to laugh at, and fall in love with where you are right now.And to prove it's not that serious, Kelly puts this theory into action by calling his friends randomly during this podcast—without them even knowing they're live! The hilarious reactions, spontaneous laughter, and genuine connection bring this episode's message to life in real time.✨ Key Takeaways:Spend your energy on what brings wisdom—it will lead to joyBe intoxicated with joy; let it fuel diligence and perseveranceJoy fosters ingenuity, prudence, and generosityLaughter creates beauty, honor, and protectionJoy can't be accomplished—it must be accepted
