Well, now, this is an end of an era. The last Tarantino movie to review: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Listen in as Mike, Shaun and I give the director one last send off, and add a bit of a retrospective as well. Then, get ready to return to form: we're heading back to books! First, we're going to read Jordan Peele's collection of new black horror in Out There Screaming, then have a little fun with AI in what I'm calling, ChatGPT Story Hour. We've got plenty more cued up after that, but I like to play it close to the chest. If you enjoy what we're doing, the best way to support our nerdy selves is to share our podcast with a friend. Just find that "share" button on your podcast player, and think of one person whose as smart as you are. They'll appreciate it! Cheers!

Writer-Director Quentin Tarantino on loneliness in his films.
Quentin Tarantino (Once Upon a Time of Hollywood, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs) is an Academy-Award winning & Golden Globe-Award winning film director, screenwriter, producer, author, and actor. Quentin sits down with the Armchair Expert to discuss how movie crews have a military aspect to their hierarchy, the phenomenon that is Pulp Fiction, and what it was like starting a sub-genre in crime and gangster films. Quentin explains how Reservoir Dogs made him a rockstar in Britain, how cool is an aesthetic and not an attitude, and that he doesn't want to work with actors who just want to be in a "Tarantino" movie. Quentin talks about how good-looking Brad Pitt is and his take on movie theaters closing. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/desmenuzando/support

It's a special bonus episode of JobyCast! The boys discuss (at length) the 9th film by Quentin Tarantino: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood..., which leads to a conversation about the role of pop culture in history, how it shapes society, and how it can be used to re-write history. The alleged penultimate film from writer/director Quentin Tarantino: Once Upon a Time...In Hollywood is our feature this week. We pair the 1969-set Old-Hollywood euology with a 1969-released, Hollywood-set French New Wave flick: Model Shop.

Body Horror July is on hold for the final time to cover the ninth and latest film from cinematic plagiarist, Quentin Tarantino: Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood. The film follows Leonardo DiCaprio as an aging actor attempting to hang on to the last vestiges of his popularity while his stuntman/bodyguard/best friend played by Brad Pitt has a solo adventure through 1969 Hollywood. Margot Robbie is also in the film as Sharon Tate but even Tarantino seems to have forgotten that she was number three billed and a massive presence in the advertising.
