RC Peck Returns for Part Two! Getting Transparent Around These Transitions In The World With the state of the economy and the stock market, I think it would be valuable for your listeners to hear how they can be more consistent in the market and have a successful year ahead, whether they're investing for passive income or for growth and whether they're new or seasoned investors. And not through the traditional ways of investing that everyone teaches, but by rewiring their brain and behavior, and using words, NLP, and past trauma to do what's best for growing their money. Most of which are the opposite of what they've been taught or have never heard. RC Peck, CFP sits at the intersection of money and human behavior. For over 20 years he's helped people hear what their money is trying to tell them. His struggle with dyslexia, watching his parents' life savings get embezzled, and his background in NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP), taught him to question the obvious. Quote: Men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song in their head.” ~ Thoreau He now uses his ability to see what others can't see which brings clarity and insight to a world that is often described as confusing and overwhelming. His message is clear. Listen to your money. It's trying to tell you how to get the life you want.   Today's Guest & Resource Links: RC Peck's 1st podcast was https://livethefuel.com/episodes/296-stop-hiding-and-stop-lying-for-fearless-wealth/ (Episode 296: Stop Hiding and Stop Lying for Fearless Wealth) https://amzn.to/2ZM25CB (Book: Fearless Wealth on Amazon) http://fearlesswealth.com/ (FearlessWealth.com) http://facebook.com/FearlessWealth (Facebook.com/FearlessWealth) https://twitter.com/fearlesswealth (twitter.com/fearlesswealth) https://www.linkedin.com/in/rcpeck/ (linkedin.com/in/rcpeck) http://youtube.com/fearlesswealth (youtube.com/fearlesswealth)   Watch us on YouTube: https://youtu.be/yC4x5RqauDA (https://youtu.be/yC4x5RqauDA)   Timestamped Show Notes: 00:30 - Introduction 04:40 - No more posturing. I've always been into the outdoors. I've always I bought a mountain light in 1989 this small company called North Face came out this new type of jacket called the mountain light and it is the first jacket ever wear was just the layer there was no insulation in it, it was longer. It was a shelf. It was it was one of the first years and I grew up outside of Chicago. And there's there was no Rei where I lived or anything like that. 10:00 - But think about this. You just watch someone on TV, you see them in their family room. Okay, he's got a suit on. To me, that's really weird. So hold on, it's deep COVID shut down, you're in wherever some state words, you know, deep, deep state shut down. We know like, I think unconscious, like, why did you put the costume on dude? Like, we know you're working from home. 19:45 - I think about this, like this stuff. People were scared about the FED. The federal funds rate is a quarter, it shouldn't be a quarter that the balance sheet of the FED quantitative easing blah, blah, blah garbage garbage, pe ratio. 24:20 - So when people use financial terms, you sound like everybody else. They mean nothing and they don't work anymore. It's like someone says the PE ratio is the highest and it's been there since 1929. I'm like, so what is it now? But I know enough because I geek out on this stuff, and my comeback is always July 1997. The PE ratio is the highest since 1929. Do you know what happened after July 1997 to march 2000? They go, no, well the NASDAQ went up two to 300%. So you would have given up 300% because of some ratio? And the answer is they don't. I'm not throwing them under the bus, but no one's taught them how to look at the market. 30:00 - So companies on the margin, they're gone. Companies, were just a maybe, they're gone. Companies that really succeeded, they realized

KEY TAKEAWAYS Financial education is the most powerful tool we can have in terms of planning out our lives. Finance takes practical experience. When we take guidance from someone around finance, we must take it from the people who have been there. There are three parts to every human – your wealth, your health and your relationships. You can’t hire other people to manage them for you competently. Trading is a fast way of making money, but if you have little education, it’ll be a disaster for you. BEST MOMENTS ‘I said “I’m gonna figure out this money thing”’ ‘You can’t read a book on swimming and learn how to swim’ ‘Money doesn’t have to be dull and boring. It can be lots of fun if you get it right’ ‘With investing, which questions are you asking?’ VALUABLE RESOURCES Sign Up Now For Exclusive Tony Talks Wealth Content at https://www.patreon.com/TTWealth Tony Talks Wealth - https://omny.fm/shows/tony-talks-wealth RC Peck Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/fearlesswealth Fearless Wealth - https://www.fearlesswealth.com/freecourse RC Peck facebook - https://facebook.com/fearlesswealth ABOUT THE GUEST Over the past 23 years, RC's training, videos, blog posts and articles have helped tens of thousands of people from all over the globe. RC Peck is the Chief Investment Officer at Fearless Wealth Corp. For twenty years, RC has challenged traditional investment ideas like the 60/40 split, diversification, and rebalancing. He noticed that an investor only needed to know two things and make decisions based on those two things as a more accurate approach than having someone look at their age and self-described risk tolerance. Considered one of the early clinical experts on behavioral investing, he figured out that behavior was the key to avoiding large and potentially catastrophic falls.

His passion is giving people the facts, the tools and the specific steps necessary to become self-sufficient at managing and understanding their money. However, RC's approach is not what one might expect. He starts where people look last - at themselves. He believes that growing one's money has to start with one's behaviors about money. Born in Cincinnati, he started trading his own account when he was 15 years old. Since then he's traded commodities in New York City; designed an investment method that protects and grows money more efficiently than Wall Street; and has interviewed hundreds of traders, investors and millionaires on four continents for one purpose - to find out what works. He now uses his ability to see what others can't see which brings clarity and insight to a world that is often described as confusing and overwhelming. His fearless wealth message is clear. Listen to your money. It's trying to tell you how to get the life you want.     Podcast Highlights Who is RC Peck? The first answer that came to RC was a time when he was in 7th grade and taking martial arts. He was able to buy throwing stars for $2 and take them to school and sell them for $8, it was just something made sense for him to do. It just came naturally, he saw the excitement in others and the opportunity became obvious. RC didn’t know that he was dyslexic until his 30’s, all throughout school RC felt like he was smart but his teachers and test scores told a different story. This lead him to pursuing more creative courses like art, something that came easily to him and that he excelled at. He thinks of his dyslexic journey and sees a lot of people going through the same process, but with their money. There is a form of investment dyslexia that is holding people back. When RC’s parent’s life savings were embezzled when he was 19, that was when he realized that something was wrong with the investment world. The biggest investment mistake in the world is the belief that “I trust and like fill in the blank!” People trust anyone other than themselves to grow their money. Where does the idea of diversification and fearless wealth come from? Diversification is an idea from the 50’s, from academia before there were computers as we know them today. The idea of diversification is not inherently wrong, you will still eventually get to where you want to go, but there are probably better options depending on what your goal is. We are never given the choice to not diversify because it is so common place we never even question the idea. Doing things that go against the mainstream current can be scary, so people rarely look at their assumptions and the common wisdom around investing. There are only two things that humans can not tolerate, the first thing is not belonging. The second is not knowing the rules. A good parent can be much stricter, as long as they are consistent with their rules. People can even feel “good” about losing half of their investment portfolio value, as long as everybody else is losing too. People with investment dyslexia know there’s a problem, they just don’t have the words to describe it. What are the words that will set us free? The stock market is an idea that is loaded with negative emotions. When you read a headline that screams “Market Crash!”, your brain is interpreting that as a real, tangible threat. But if you look at an image of a graph of the stock market, you’ll put the whole thing in context and that can shortcut your brain’s fight or flight reaction. We are not taught to think visually, we are taught to think in words and sentences and the whole time your brain is bringing up associated images that is driving your life. When in doubt, zoom out. We are under attack, not by animals with claws, but from people who are paid very well that know that if they can make you angry or scared. Simple and easy are not the same thing. The defense and offense for fearless wealth is simple but not easy. You start with an image because that will rewire your brain. It can prevent your brain from going into panic mode, and can prime you to push toward your goals. To be successful in any area, you have

RC Peck is also the author of Fearless Wealth, Simple Steps to Growing and Harvesting Money. RC Peck is the founder of Fearless Wealth, a San Francisco-based investment education company that delivers unique workshops, training and presentations to the public and companies worldwide. Based on his ten years of financial research, RC published Fearless Wealth Simple Steps to Grow and Harvest Your Money and founded Fearless Wealth Workshops in 1997. RC Peck observes that when Wells Fargo earnings beat expectations, the shares rose. Wells Fargo reported better-than-expected quarterly results on Friday, sending the stock higher in the premarket. The company’s results compared to Wall Street’s expectations: Earnings: $1.20 per share vs $1.09 per share expected by Refinity. Peck has been Chief Investment Officer at "Fearless Wealth Corp" for twenty years. He has challenged traditional investment ideas like the 60/40 split, diversification and rebalancing. What he noticed was an investor only needed to know two things. And making decisions based on those two things was a more accurate approach than having someone look at their age and self described risk tolerance. His firm has specialized in avoiding the large 50% stock market corrections over the past 20 years, while making sure to be fully allocated to the stock market in the long secular uptrends. He noticed a change in asset pricing, which allowed him to foresee and avoid the 2000 Dot Com Crash and the 2008 Global Financial Crises. Peck’s professional life is driven by one event when he was 19. In 1989, his parents had their life savings embezzled by their trusted and liked Financial Advisor. His dad was 50 and his mom 47. Scary times. His parent’s investment strategy up to that point could be called, “I trust and like my investment advisor.” Peck's mission has been to help others avoid a similiar fate.
