Today's premiere is a free download from Dublin-native Aero as he shares a bumping production titled ‘I Know You Got Hardcore'. This funk-driven techno track combines meddling low-end and catchy vocals, resulting in a ferociously energising listen. To put things lightly, Aero has grown into one of Ireland's most prolific Irish artists in recent times, the youngster has carved out a career that is wrapped around the foundations of purist techno. His punishing style of techno has been haunting Irish dancefloors for over half a decade, as Aero's deep knowledge of techno sees him weave through hard-edged and groove-laden techno cuts from various time periods. Aero has played alongside some of techno's most formidable artists such as Stef Mendesidis & Dax J through to SHDW & Obscure Shape & Sunil Sharpe, to name a few. He has built a strong repertoire as one of the most trusted warm-up DJs in Ireland but is also equally versed in pulverising a dancefloor at peak time. Paula Koski specializes in the space between mental and fast-paced, groovy techno. The Finnish-born, Berlin-based DJ is in her element when performing energetic peak-time or closing sets, such as at Tresor, where she is a regular. Paula is inspired by the queer techno scene, where she finds expressive freedom as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Integrally connected to her audience, she brings her sets to life through the experiences of like-minded people—on dance floors and across cities that most need her representation. Paula's talent for telling stories through her sets stems from her background as a fashion journalist, during which she began her career as a DJ. It wasn't long until her potential was recognized, and she moved to Berlin to pursue her musical aspirations. For several years, Paula continued her work as a writer for the techno monolith Monument where she was also the head of premieres and resident. After some plausible backstory the 88756 program was born - the first computer algorithm to be truly indistinguishable from man. Designed to explore concepts such as individuality and what it means to be human, it quickly adopted a creative pursuit in techno. 2019 saw the release of a slur of EPs and a full length studio album, while some of it's more pleasing creations made their way to Otomotrax (Netherlands) and Insane Industry (Italy). The program's sound consists of overly complex, evolving synthesis and the liberal butchering of drum machine samples - described by one individual as "the soundtrack to a futuristic pacman but like it's also a 3D shooter". 2020 and 2021 saw it's foray into the faster side of industrial noise again via Otomo (Obscuur) and Hungarian imprint RÉV.zrt, with additional releases on Conection Verified (Melbourne) and Soma sub label AVOIDANT. A more hypnotic sound seems to be emerging in 2022, with a love for 3-deck mixing bleeding over into the sound and finding a home with Perth based label GRIT. You may have been lucky enough to catch them tearing up the stage with a hi energy, triple deck mix last year as part of our Goodwill Club residency and we are very pleased to have them back once again as support for Stef Mendesidis on the 11th June. GRIT003- Human Construct is released on 6th June and features 4 original tracks and 1 remix by Connection Verified's ADMINISTRATOR (also supporting Stef Mendesidis on June 11).
