Aleksander Zalar je navdušen popotnik in za to ima po upokojitvi veliko več časa, kot ga je imel kdaj prej. Ne spomni se, kdaj se je upokojil, ali pa želi to obdržati zase, toda vsekakor si najbrž pred desetletji tudi sam ni predstavljal, da bo pri 90-tih letih potoval po Afganistanu. Tudi sicer ga privlačijo tako imenovane eksotične destinacije, ki ne pokajo po šivih zaradi množičnega turizma. Aleksander Zalar s takim navdušenjem pripoveduje o svojih potovanjih, da ga ne utegnemo spraševati o receptu za dolgoživost, energijo in pogum, da se v letih, ko se mnogi njegovi vrstniki ukvarjajo z bolečinami v sklepih in drugimi kroničnimi težavami, odpravi na celo nekoliko nevarnejše poti kot običajni turisti. S seboj redno jemlje tudi kamero in s poti po Afganistanu je posnel kar dva filma. Kako tudi ne bi izkoristil priložnosti? S skupino sopotnikov je bil namreč prvi turist v Afganistanu po 40-tih letih zaprtja države. Pred mikrofon ga je povabila Cirila Štuber.

Novela zakona o prikritih vojnih grobiščih in pokopu žrtev je politično razdelila skupnost. Čeprav se tako rekoč vsi strinjajo z nujnostjo pietetnega pokopa žrtev povojnih pobojev, pa si ostro nasprotujejo glede pokopa na ljubljanskih Žalah – temu nasprotuje tudi ljubljanski župan Zoran Janković –, in glede ponovne uvedbe dneva spomina na žrtve komunističnega nasilja. Kakšne so možnosti, da bodo žrtve povojnih pobojev pokopane tako, kot to predvideva novelirani zakon? Aleksander Bassin je svoje prve kritiške komentarje že v srednji šoli zapisoval v beležko. Najprej je doštudiral pravo, potem še umetnostno zgodovino in prav likovni umetnosti je posvetil vso svojo kariero – kot kustos, kritik, publicist, organizator razstav in dolgoletni direktor Mestne galerije Ljubljana. Pred nekaj leti je svoje spomine ujel v avtobiografijo Obris mojega časa, zdaj pa je pri Založbi ZRC izšla 380 strani dolga knjiga zbranih člankov, predavanj in neobjavljenih prispevkov, ki jih je ustvarjal od petdesetih let prejšnjega stoletja do danes. Naslovil jo je Gledalec misli: Umetnikovo delo in njegov interpret. V njej najdemo spise o mejah in razsežnostih slikarstva in kiparstva danes, umetnosti v krizi in možnih alternativnih poteh, premisleke o skupinskih identitetnih prostorih, kot je Metelkova mesto, pa tudi predstavitve domačih in tujih umetnikov.

Samtidig prøver vi nok en gang å forklare hva et kommandittselskap er, Aleksander covrer Bøhren og Åseruds eminente Svalbard-tema på el-gitar, og leser fra en skolestil han skrev som 17-åring. Så han betalade för allting och för honom var det ett bra upplägg. Men för henne kände hon alltid att hon behövde mer närhet mer kvalitetstid och såna saker. Men det var inte riktigt hans kärleksspråk. Så det funkade inte riktigt så bra. Och ja, det är vanligt att olika människor har olika så kallade kärleksspråk. Så det ska vi prata om idag.
