ARKVS [archives] is a collaboration between dj/producers Wesley Visser and Stefan Meijerink from Rotterdam, who are both dj'ing and making music from late 90's. They found a shared passion for dark atmospheric and hypnotic electronic music. With their dj-sets they bring a well-balanced sound to clubs, focusing on techno you will lose yourself in. From tight grooves and rhythms to hypnotizing atmospheres. With a growing catalog of 12" and digital releases they push forward their take on electronic music on influential labels Planet Rhythm, TH Tar Hallow, Pleistocene Future, REVOLT, Muted and DRLD Records. ARKVS first introduced their textured, atmospheric sound through the track Politics of Greed on the Planet Rhythm label, featured alongside techno heavyweights Yan Cook and TWR72. Shortly after, they delivered Force, a club banger on the same imprint, sharing the EP with icons Matrixxman, Echologist, Ben Buitendijk, and Steve Parker. Their later projects, including the Oppression EP and Texture EP on Planet Rhythm, as well as releases on TH Tar Hallow and Pleistocene Future, highlight the diversity within their sound—ranging from hypnotic, layered textures to dancefloor-focused tracks. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, ARKVS remains focused on delivering music with depth, groove and energy, rooted in the hypnotic essence of techno while always looking forward. Italy born producer and modular synthesist David Castellani is an aficionado in all things modular with a focus on driving, contemporary techno. His sound, fuelled by an array of analog hardware, showcases the intricate aspects of modern music production, while staying true to the fundamentals. Having formerly cut his teeth in a DJ/Producer duo, David has already built a category of healthy releases, collaborations and remixes, while sharing the decks with industry heavies including Nastia, Mark Broom, Dense & Pika & Vril, to name a few. Now based in LA by way of Chicago, Castellani launched his record label Noetic in 2021, cultivating smart & dynamic techno with a focus on synthesizers and analog hardware. The label has curated eleven releases from Castellani so far, featuring remixes from Redshape, Matrixxman, Voiski & Etapp Kyle. Castellani's journey in music has been marked by two guiding principles – passion and learning, including exploration of world cultures. He uses the didgeridoo, part of ancient First Nation Australian culture which he respectfully acknowledges, in his live sets. He was taught drums by respected Afro Cuban percussionist Juma Santos, who featured on the legendary Miles Davis album ‘Bitches Brew'. The experience of working with Santos has stayed with him till this day. “It was one of the most vivid memories of my youth. We just spent hours playing drums together and then we'd indulge in some cannabis while Juma would share stories about hanging out with Miles Davis in the 70's. I was about 17 and remember travelling home, thinking how excited I was to start this new journey in music. And most of all, this helped me understand the value of education via a proper teacher within music.” Castellani would go on to be an educator himself, thriving as a teacher at Chicago's respected Columbia College, where he'd teach for almost a decade. His passion for educating is something that stays with him till this day, involved in running modular synth workshops in LA in collaboration with the RE/FORM crew, with whom he holds a residency. He also volunteers with the Jazz Angels, an outreach program that sees him go into schools and help children record and learn about music. His passion and curiosity for all things learning, creativity and technological development has seen him create his own sequencer module, the Precision Disrupter. His background in graphic design also sees a collaboration with clothing brand After Infinite, responsible for designing all their rave wear garments. A magnetic live performer, recent highlights include a special 360-degree audio-visual performance in LA alongside Colin Benders and ONYVAA; a coveted spot playing Chicago's Arc Festival and the release of his collaborative project ‘Hysteria Dichotic' with AnnMarie Arcuri, which combined techno, contemporary dance, modular synthesis and film. Castellani wishes to acknowledge that First Nations Australians are the traditional owners of the didgeridoo, a wind instrument he uses in his live sets. He pays his respects to all First Nations people. Pink Concrete describes himself as someone who ‘adds pink touches to concrete music.' This can be heard in his productions and his style of mixing, as he is not afraid to sprinkle some light-heartedness into the otherwise rather serious genre. Heads-down, moody techno with a sliver of brightness and a playful attitude is what he brings to the table. Originally from Istanbul, his interest in music began in high school, where he began his education in production and mixing. In 2015 he moved to Prague, where he has stayed ever since. The underground electronic music scene in Prague is full of life and creativity, and his contributions include a small underground party series called Kave from 2020-2021, a club night series called Anormal from 2020-2022, and most recently hereandthere, which curates overnight happenings through sound, light and space in temporary, one-off venues. He also hosts a bi-monthly club night at seminal club Ankali, called Pinkies, which already saw legendary pioneers step into its infamous booth. Pink Concrete released his first EP titled “I Hate Millennial Architecture” in May 2022 on Children of Tomorrow Records, including remixes from Magna Pia and Arthur Robert. He released his second EP with Bipolar Disorder in 2023 summer, with remixes from Matrixxman and Lindsey Herbert and subsequently started his own imprint hereandthere in 2023s fall. His most recent release is his third EP on Ben Sims' Hardgroove including remixes by Fireground and VIL. Strongly shaped by the raw and forward-leaning sound of 90's Techno, Milan based artist Alarico Zucchi started his journey into electronic music in 2015 making his way through clubs as a DJ while learning the art of music production. The inauguration of ‘Alarico' occurred in 2019 after previously exploring several sub-genres of Techno. The alias was formed as a statement to showcase a style that was personal to him. Personal in a way that he became captivated within the patterns and structures of his own sound. So-much-so that his multiple our long podcasts solely consisting of his own material made him stand out from a whole host of young and promising producers and DJs. Known for fast paced rhythms and kinky grooves he has released music consistently since his debut in 2020 on Joton's imprint “Newrhytmic Records”. Shortly after he launched his own vinyl imprint “Katana Records”, which showcases the more mental and introverted side of his idea of Techno. He certainly cemented his rank in today's Techno landscape through releases on Matrixxman's highly acclaimed “The Grid”, Token Records and sees a bright future with a forthcoming release on SHDW & Obscure Shape's newest endeavour “Mutual Rytm”. Alarico continues to position himself as a unique music lover, exploring the depths and possibilities of sound. He stands for permanently pushing boundaries and stirring this attitude with his background of Hip Hop and Japanese culture.

A veritable powerhouse of the Croatian techno scene Insolate has been establishing a global presence as a DJ and producer for over 20 years delivering as both a label boss at Out Of Place and the creative force behind their electrifying TRAUM events. Hailing from Osijek, Croatia, on the wide Croatian East – a town that at first glance a heavy industrial atmosphere overshadows, she is making her first steps as a DJ back in 1997 before taking over European and worldwide clubs. Her list of clubs and partys she played is impressive and includes Berghain, Rex, Tresor, Under Club, Club d'Anvers, Unter, Exit Festival, Tomorrowland, ADE and Dimensions Festival. Amongst many European clubs she played numerous tours in Colombia and recently added USA, China and Argentina to the list. As a producer, she's had a string of releases on highly respected labels including DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted, Marcelus's Singular and Developer's Modularz - supported and played by some of techno's finest including Laurent Garnier, DVS1, Dax J and Ilario Alicante. Also she released the stellar Obscure Object Of Desire EP on JoeFarr's new User Experience imprint, EP for a Suara and beautiful EP for Proletarijat, label run by Sev Dah. She also contributed to Ben Sim's compilation Tribology among giants as Planetary Assault Systems, Oscar Mulero, Steffi etc. and also made super interesting collaboration with french producer Arnaud le Texier and released EP with him for Prodigal Son. In 2019. she announced her debut album. The album Order is Chaos was released as a double vinyl and contains 10 tracks with extremely interesting collaborations with MATRIXXMAN and singer SARA RENAR. DJ Mag (UK) described album as “exciting journey thru trans-dimensional vocals, acid drenched sequences and floor obligated bangers.” Insolate is also a major contributor to the Croatian techno scene, so much so that she was in Ibiza to receive the award for "Dance Nation of the Year" at the DJ Awards on behalf of her nation. Her and long-time partner in crime Volster also run the event series TRAUM in her native Osijek. TRAUM events have cemented their place in the clubbing calendar with quality artists like Paula Temple, Antigone, Cassegrain, Janice, Etapp Kyle and Milton Bradley, just to name a few. The success of the TRAUM nights caught the attention of Red Bull Music Academy and Dimensions – both of which they have hosted official events for. Insolate being an international messenger of techno was recognised by Ambassador award that gave her a title "Croatia's ambassador overseas" for 2017. The final part of putting Osijek on the techno map was taken in 2015 with the launch of the label Out Of Place which Insolate runs with Volster. The label was named in honour of the beautiful struggle of carving your own way into the scene from a place that's well off the grid from the traditional capitals of techno. Now five releases strong, the label has already had contributions from heavyweights like Milton Bradley, Developer, JoeFarr, Francois X, Janice and many more. As a DJ, Insolate is well known for her no-compromise, pure-bred techno sets. It's clear to anyone who's seen her perform that she's an artist with a lot of experience but also plenty of inspiration and ambition, and a deep knowledge of techno. She is simply a natural presence in a DJ booth. If you've seen her play, you will know exactly what this means.

For our latest Local Selection, we welcome a stalwart of the Irish house and techno scene, Eddie Reynolds, aka Tr One, as the prolific DJ and producer records a jam packed mix full or techno rarities from the golden era. Being no stranger to the Irish scene, Eddie Reynolds aka Tr One is a DJ and producer based in Carlow. A much-respected figure within Ireland's fertile electronic music scene, Reynolds cites the likes of Dublin's D1 Recordings, Kraftwerk and J Dilla as early influences. Equally inspired by vintage sounds of Chicago and Detroit, he started dabbling in production in the early 00s alongside fellow Irish producer, Dean Feeney. Fast-forward over a decade and although the project may now consist of Reynolds only, his dedication to all things house, techno and electro remain unwavering. A prolific producer, Reynolds' sounds has led him to some of his country's most-renowned labels, including Lunar Disko, Apartment, Bodytonic and Pogo. You can find Tr One currently hosting a regular night called 'Rotation', which takes place at the Bernard Shaw in Dublin. In 2021 TR-One has been consistently putting music on Bandcamp and will have a release on a Mexican label shortly. The Dublin producer is also hosting a regular night called rotation in the Bernard Shaw. The Dublin favourite is mixing deeper techno sounds with vintage funky and tribal techno cuts. Today we premiere a stellar techno track from Dublin producer PageOne. We present the third track ‘Envelope Dealer' from his groove focused five track EP, on his imprint, Undivided. Following on from Undivided's first various artists release, the Dublin producer returns with a five track EP, with three originals from himself and two remixes from Oliver Dodd and Nicolas Volger. PageOne is cementing a definitive sound for himself and the label, as they focus on very minimal and groove focused techno. The sound is an ever-growing movement in techno right now with artists such as, Matrixxman, Rene Wise & TWR72, pushing it forward. Envelope Dealer is a pacey and loopy DJ tool that sits at a soaring 143 bpm. The track is dominated by a bouncy bassline that's partnered with a crunchy 909 work out, as well as a washed out vocal hit. The track's groove is somewhat off kilter and gives the track great movement. We're big fans of the very active techno producer and look forward to hearing more from PageOne in the future. We're delighted to welcome the Czech born and Berlin based DJ, Tigerhead, to our Global Mix series, as the exciting DJ and producer provides us with a jam packed hour of techno power. Having watched and listened to many of Tigerhead's mixes, we just knew we had to reach out and request a mix for our monthly Global Series. The rising star has been climbing the ranks in recent times, playing a funky, jackin and driving style of techno. The typically all vinyl DJ has been gaining recognition and flexing her skills on platforms such as Hor Radio and Room Trax, some of which have now gathered over a million plays. These streams coupled with some high profile gigs and podcasts have helped her gain the reputation as one of the brightest stars in techno right now. Tereza R. pursued her love of music and arts from an early age, playing and singing in bands before moving to Berlin as a teenager. She quickly developed a deep love for DJing and collecting records, spending most of her time digging for hidden treasures. Her raw, surprising and full of diversity sets in Berghain, Griessmuele and ://about blank have attracted attention all over Europe, with stand-out gigs in Fold, London, Paris, Rennes, Nantes, her native Czechia and many more. The label aswell as the Stuttgart based club represents a wide range of techno music. The philosophy of Lehmann Musik is to show a cross section of the Lehmann agency artists plus of course guests and friends of the club. Dark days actually for our scene and culture. We are guessing everybody is going through a lot of struggles and mixed emotions at the moment. As for the most in our industry and scene - we as Lehmann Club - looking into an uncertain future. Depending on how long this crisis will last, we not really know how it will go on afterwards. So we called some of our dearest „old“ and „new“ friends, past guests and our residents to create these „Save our HOME“ compilation. Were very thankful for the support and appreciate this a lot. The 005 reflects again several vibes and moods of the current techno zeitgeist – plus some excursions through the fields of non typical 4-to-the-floor club sound.

Insolate, is a Croatian Dj, producer, Out Of Place label owner and co-founder of event series TRAUM. She is one of the main voices of the underground music scene in Croatia and a very integrated artist in the international techno scene. Having a long list of releases under her belt, she has worked with the likes of Ben Sims, Matrixxman, Jamaica Suk, Developer, Electric Rescue, POLI and Lorenzo Raganzini and many more. At the core of her art, sit her personal drive and passion and willingness to continuously experiment. Her early influences track back to the rave and dance scene of the mid 1990s when Croatia was just recovering from the war with Yugoslavia. She discovered a variety of electronic music from cassettes and eventually started her own DJ journey in the late 90s. Around 2007, she also started producing and launched her own imprint Out Of Place in 2015 together with her partner in crime (and in life) Volster. In our chat, we talk about the importance of music in social interactions and Insolate tells us how emotions are the main driver for her creation and for approaching remixes and collaborations such as the work done spontaneously with singer Sara Renar. We also discuss how creators may want to keep pushing the boundaries and learn to produce art to fit their own taste and not exclusively that of others. For the 7th instalment of the Incoming series we welcome REES. Known for his technical versatility and expansive selection, REES has become a household name in DJ booths across the UK & Europe. With smooth mixing capabilities, he is able to span through many different genres with ease - from rattling techno to harmonious disco and house beats, his sets are equally vigorous and unique. As well as being an excellent disk jockey, REES has an impressive array of productions under his belt. Speaking with us, he was excited to tell of an upcoming release which he describes as “a breakbeat EP very different to anything I've put out before, with remixes from Matrixxman & A. Sagittariun.” Perhaps we'll soon get a glimpse over on his show on Balamii radio which airs on the second Sunday of each month from 10am - 11am. We'll be listening carefully. On top of that he's the founding father of Paradiso Records. Now it doesn't take a genius to work out what “paradiso” translates into from Italian… that's right – Paradise. As label head and hotly tipped producer in his own right REES elaborates, “the philosophy behind the name comes from our admiration of so many different styles of electronic music so we try to display and capture ‘everyone's idea of music paradise'”. It is an endeavour that has been paying dividends since their birth in 2018, with the imprint regularly putting out top-quality dance music that can vary from gritty Electro to feel-good Disco infused House. Paradiso are more than just a label too, with the initial idea being “to have a record label accompanied with a blog/magazine type online website where our fans could read up on our latest music, interviews, artist top 10 picks etc.”. They have a string of digital releases under their belt, however entering the physical market is also something high on the agenda for the young label. In the meantime the team have set up a “Paradiso Presents” party series that will see events pop-up across the UK. As REES makes certain, “the main aim of the label is simply to spread emotion and non-stop dancing” – cannot get much better than that now can you? For his Bside mix he pulls out some of his favourite records. South African synths and Nigerian brass from 70's and 80's fill the grooves first, moving into warm italo synthesisers - a much welcomed sound in these cold months. Close your eyes, lay back in that hammock, kick off your sandals and enjoy the sunshine from REES' collection.
