Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Bob Iger's contract got extended through 2026. And a new Turduckin hat has been released in EPCOT that Figment fans will fawn over. Our episode this week is sort of a double-feature. We briefly talk about our short Disney trip before we did the Galactic Starcruiser and holy cow was it really awesome! We actually had a lot of Disney firsts like riding Tron Lightcycle Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and getting to see a warthog get some dental work. After that, we move on to our main topic of the week, Disneyland vs Disney World Ride Comparisons. We stack 10 rides and attractions up against each other from both coasts and see which one is better. So which Pirates of the Caribbean comes away with the booty? Which Haunted Mansion would we rather inhabit? And which would win in a race for our hearts: Test Track or Radiator Springs Racers? Tune in and see! As always, thank you so much for listening! Heather has been an athlete for most of her life. She took her love of swimming and entered the triathlon world, eventually crushing Ironman. She eventually married her love of running and all things Disney and tackled a number of runDisney runs. This is where she met Jen. Jen began running during her weight loss journey half a dozen years ago. She previously only ran from base to base as a varsity softball player and loathed running. But thanks to her friends and a supportive network, she ran her first 5K. Heather and Jen met as Jen was training for her first half marathon and eventually her first full marathon thanks to Heather's encouragement. WDW Radio # 719 - Top Ten Things in Walt Disney World That Are Better at Night - From the WDW Radio Archives On last night's WDW Radio LIVE show, I spent the evening wandering my way through Tomorrowland, to not only celebrate the opening of Tron Lightcycle /Run, but speculate on the future of this land. As we explored the entire land as the golden hour dissolved into twilight, Tomorrowland was energized with new life... and light, and takes on an entirely new atmosphere at night. Riding the Peoplemover and looking over at the spectacular, color-changing canopy of Tron, I thought not only about how beautiful this (and other lands) are at night, but how some things in Walt Disney World are just better after dark. So for this week's show From the Archives, we're going back to 2009 and show # 104, where we discussed our list of Top Ten Things in Walt Disney World That are Better at Night. In more than 18 years of podcasting, I very VERY rarely revisit a topic, but enough time has passed and new additions to the parks and resorts have been made that it may be time to reexamine this list on an upcoming episode. But for now, please enjoy this look (and listen) at our list, and I invite you to share suggestions of what else needs to be added when we make up our new list (spoiler alert... Tron WILL be on that list). Share your thoughts in the WDW Radio Clubhouse at WDWRadio.com/Clubhouse, or call the voicemail at 407-900-9391 (WDW1) and share your story on the show. But for now... sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode from the Archives on the WDW Radio show. ---------------------------------- WDWRadio.com - Visit the site and blog WDWRadio.com/Clubhouse - Join the community and conversation on Facebook WDWRadioNATION - Get monthly rewards, and help support the show WDWRadioLIVE.com - Watch and chat LIVE Wednesdays at 7:30pm ET WDWRadio.com/Podcasts - Show notes, past episodes, links, and photos WDWRadio.com/Events - WDW Radio Disney meets, events, cruises, and more! WDW Radio # 717 - Cindy Morgan from TRON Interview - From the WDW Radio Archives Spoiler alert... I'm a bit of a nerd. Growing up, I loved (love) video games and technology, storytelling, adventure, and the unknown... and that hasn't changed much. More than 40 years ago, a Disney film was released that would forever change the science fiction genre, as well as animation, video gaming and the lives of many young geeks like myself. Smart, stylish and fun, the game grid of Tron was groundbreaking, and in 2010, Tron was reborn with the Tron: Legacy film (and do you remember the Tronorail at Walt Disney World, ElecTRONica at Disneyland, or what about Tron: Uprising on Disney XD... with all of them now on Disney+). So in 2012, on WDW Radio show # 277, a little, nerdy dream of mine came true, as I had the opportunity to speak in an exclusive interview with one of the original film's stars, Cindy Morgan, who played the dual role of Lora and Yori. She may or may not have also been the subject of a bit of a boyhood crush of mine for her role in Caddyshack. Cindy joined me to talk about her career and role in Tron, as she shared stories of the making of the films, the Tron phenomenon, her fans and much more. With the opening of TRON: Lightcycle Run this week in Magic Kingdom, the timing for listening back to my conversation with Cindy (who I still love seeing at comic and conventions) seemed appropriate. I may just have to reach out to her again for the follow up conversation we discussed. Are you a fan of the original TRON? What about TRON: Legacy? Have you experienced TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom (or Shanghai Disneyland) yet?
