A Disneyland family walks into Walt Disney World thinking they've got the playbook, then Florida's scale, transportation, and next-level ride roster rewrites the plan. We're joined by McCayla, former PlanDisney panelist and seasoned Disneyland expert, fresh off a quick Disney World trip with her two kids who had never visited the Orlando parks before. What starts as a “thank you” celebration turns into a week of new favorites, big feelings, and a few moments where the Disney tiki room gods clearly laugh at the plan. We talk through the choices that made the trip work, starting with a split stay that includes Animal Kingdom Lodge and five nights at Disney's Beach Club Resort. McCayla shares why Beach Club's location near Epcot and that “mini water park” pool changed the family's pace, plus what it's like to adjust from Anaheim's walkability to Walt Disney World buses and travel time. We also get candid about Disney hospitality, the power of the Disney World bubble, and how dining experiences like Topolino's Terrace and Sanaa's bread service can feel closer to Disney Cruise Line service than you might expect. Then we get to the good stuff: first big park moments, the surprising kid reactions, and the ride rankings that shift in real time. Tron Lightcycle Run becomes the obsession, Cosmic Rewind delivers a story-worthy recovery when the first ride goes wrong, and Epcot quietly steals the “favorite park” crown. If you're a Disneyland regular planning your first Walt Disney World vacation, you'll leave with practical planning tips, honest tradeoffs, and a clearer sense of how to pick priorities without trying to do it all. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a Disney friend, and leave a rating and review so more travelers can find the show. You can find more from McCayla on Substack and Instagram - check out https://linktr.ee/mc.and.mouse.club for links to everything.----Adventures & Mousecapades is a passion project from Alicea & Nathan Novak - two Seattleites addicted to The Mouse. Send us Fan MailA great Disney ride song does not just play in the background, it grabs your brain and refuses to leave. We're sipping a Ginger Pear Snap inspired by Liberty Tree Tavern and doing something we've wanted to do for a while: ranking our favorite Disney ride music from worst to first, with plenty of friendly arguing along the way.We get into what makes theme park music powerful, whether you rank tracks by how “iconic” they are or by how they feel when you're actually on the attraction. That takes us through everything from queue and exit music to full ride soundtracks and medleys. We talk Figment and One Little Spark, the pull of Pirates of the Caribbean, why Grim Grinning Ghosts can be top tier even if Haunted Mansion is not your personal must do, and how modern Disney music like Nothing Can Stop Us Now already feels like a classic earworm. We also hit Guardians of the Galaxy from both angles, since a rotating playlist means the ride is the experience and the song at the same time. You'll hear why “I Want You Back” on Mission Breakout works so well, why “Disco Inferno” on Cosmic Rewind is a perfect synced moment, and how nostalgia heavy staples like Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow and the Enchanted Tiki Room keep earning replay after replay. When we wrap, we share a few listener favorites and ask for more because everyone's list tells a different Disney story.Subscribe for more Disney parks talk, share this with a friend who always hums ride songs, and leave us a review. What are your top five Disney attraction songs right now?

The parks hit different after midnight. From neon-lit dance parties and rare character sets in Anaheim to wide-open ride marathons in Orlando, we break down what 2026's Disney after-hours landscape actually looks like, how much it costs, and where the magic is worth the splurge. We compare Disneyland After Dark's themed nights—Sweethearts' Night, 70 Years of Favorites, Disney Channel Night, Star Wars Night, and Pride Night—with Walt Disney World's ride-first After Hours at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. You'll hear highlights like lightsaber instruction, cosplay showcases, and unlimited PhotoPass in California, alongside TRON, Rise of the Resistance, Cosmic Rewind, and smart snack stops in Florida. We also look ahead to the seasonal heavy hitters that shape late-year travel: Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and the stylish return of Jollywood Nights. With on-the-ground tips about entry windows, dining pitfalls, and how to prioritize shows versus attractions, you'll be ready to build a night that matches your vibe—romance and nostalgia, high-energy dance parties, or low-wait ride blitzes. Good morning, afternoon, or evening Disney fans! In last week's episode, Laurlyn Smith shared so many cool stories about her time as Mickey Mouse and other mouse height characters at Walt Disney World. She talked about her training and how she learned the signatures for the characters, how many people it took to help get her into costume, how many versions of the costumes there are, and how clear it was to see for the different characters. She also started talking about an injury she sustained and this episode picks up where she left off. In this episode, we know you're also going to enjoy hearing about what she most looked forward to during each shift, why she loves the pretzels in Germany in EPCOT, why Cosmic Rewind checks all of the boxes for her, and so much more!Email: TheMouseAndMePodcast@gmail.comSupport: www.patreon.com/themouseandmeFB and Instagram: “The Mouse and Me”Music by Kevin MacLeod from https://incompetech.filmmusic.io
We are excited to head out to Virginia today to speak with Listener Kia about a couple of recent Walt Disney World trips! Both of these trips were on the shorter side, but full of magic! We hear about a birthday trip that was originally going to be a solo trip, but turned into an amazing Mother/Daughter celebration! Then, we discuss an anniversary celebration where all three in the family got to go down to Disney's All-Star Movies and enjoy both Epcot After Hours (and lots of Cosmic Rewind!), Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and much more! We talked about many different ways to see a Disney vacation on this show, and it might make you re-think your strategies on your next trip! We're taking you along on a whirlwind couple of days at Walt Disney World—complete with friends, food, drinks, and a few unexpected twists (including a surprise snake sighting near the Skyliner… yep, that happened). We kicked things off with snacks and sips at Bar Riva to see some Cast Member friends alongside our good friends Lucie and Caleb, and the fun just kept rolling from there. We did a little shopping in Pandora (yes, we bought rings), used an Individual Lightning Lane for Cosmic Rewind, and bounced around resorts chasing dinner plans from California Grill to Steakhouse 71 to Three Bridges—where we finally found our perfect Plan C, great food, and some awesome cast member interactions. We also squeezed in some magic at Magic Kingdom to ride Haunted Mansion, placed a special hat embroidery order, and spent a rainy afternoon at Disney Springs catching up, indulging in Salt & Straw, and hiding out at Jock Lindsey's. The trip wrapped up with poolside snacks at Siestas, an evening at Dahlia Lounge, and a final stop at Jeff's Bagels on the way home—because you know we weren't leaving without breakfast handled. It was a trip full of laughs, detours, and Disney magic, and we can't wait to share it with you.MEI-Travel – Expertise. Happy Friday! Mike & Scott are here today with a bunch of Disney topics that we discuss for a few minutes each including thoughts on Virtual Queues (and how they have worked with Tiana's and Cosmic Rewind), where Disney should put a sports bar & grill in the future for guests to enjoy, where the best live entertainment is on-property right now, which is better - a monorail or skyliner crawl, and much more! Circle of Parks Podcast: Talking all things Walt Disney World
Join us for a thrilling ride through the enchanting world of Disney World roller coasters with our special guest, Nolan, who teams up with Brittany to share their exciting experiences on seven of these magical attractions. Together with Ryan and me, who've braved all nine coasters, we embark on a lively discussion about the highs and lows of each ride. From the beginner-friendly Barnstormer to the intriguing debate over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster's Aerosmith theme, there's a lot to explore about what makes each attraction unique and memorable. As we wind our way through the magical tracks, we tackle the intricate balance between theming, storytelling, and ride mechanics. Our conversation takes a playful twist as we speculate on potential re-themes, like giving Rock 'n' Roller Coaster a Muppets makeover, and delve into the charm of rides like Slinky Dog Dash, which might benefit from a touch more backstory. Each coaster, from the classic Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the nostalgic Space Mountain, is dissected with a touch of humor and an eye for the imaginative details that Disney does best.Brace yourself for the grand finale as we celebrate the groundbreaking thrills of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the backward adventures of Expedition Everest. These top-tier roller coasters deliver an unforgettable experience, with Cosmic Rewind's cutting-edge mechanics and Expedition Everest's immersive theming setting a high bar. Despite the occasional dizzying effects, we all agree on the magic these rides bring, making us hopeful for even more future innovations from Disney Imagineering. Tune in to experience the joy, the laughs, and the dreams that these coasters inspire in all of us.Send us a textSupport the show

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Disney World announced that Cosmic Rewind and Tiana's will be dropping their virtual queue this week, which may or may not be a ploy to get more people to buy Lightning Lanes. Plus we finally have a replacement for the defunct NBA Experience at Disney Springs and it's very similar to the previous tenant, Disney Quest. Coincidence? You be the judge. Have you ever seen a group of people in the parks with a Plaid and thought “are they a celebrity?” If you're like us, then the answer is a definite Yes. But the answer 99% of the time is that they are just a group on a VIP Tour. VIP Tours are one of the most unique (and expensive) tours Disney offers and allows up to 10 people to do whatever they want across all of the parks for the day. We were lucky enough to be able to join some friends on their VIP Tour, so now we're giving a full recap from the highlights to the things we'd do differently. So join us as we recap one of the most fun (and expensive) days we've had at Disney World. Submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode.
