On this episode of **Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast**, the Roundtable is packed with fun, updates, and a little bit of nerdy lightning science as **Remy, Jen, Mike, and Nicole** all come together for a lively discussion. This week is extra special because **Nicole is officially back on the Roundtable**, bringing her energy, insight, and her fan-favorite segment to the mix.The episode begins with **The Latest Theme Park Updates**, where Remy and Jen dive into the newest happenings across Florida's parks. From attraction announcements to construction progress, the big headline of the week is all about **the awards season for theme parks**. Listeners will hear which rides and attractions stood out this year, and it turns out that **Universal's Epic Universe dominated the competition**, walking away with the majority of the honors. Remy and Jen break down exactly what made those attractions stand out and why Epic Universe is already shaking up the industry even before its grand opening.Next up, **Jen takes us back in time with her beloved segment, This Week in Disney History**. She pulls fascinating stories, key milestones, and unforgettable moments from Disney's long and magical past. Whether it's the opening of a classic attraction, the release of a legendary film, or an important turning point for the parks, Jen always manages to bring the perfect blend of trivia and storytelling to give Disney fans their history fix. After that, it's time for Remy to shine with the **Ride of the Week** segment, and this week he takes us under the sea with **Journey to Atlantis (JTA)** at SeaWorld Orlando. Remy not only shares details about the attraction's history, theming, and thrill factor, but he also brings in his own personal experience—because he actually **worked on Journey to Atlantis during his time at SeaWorld**. From behind-the-scenes stories to Imagineering-style details about the hybrid water coaster/dark ride, this segment offers listeners a ride-through both as a fan and as a cast member who got to see the attraction up close every day.Normally, this would be the spot for **Mike's Munchies**, where Mike highlights a theme park restaurant and breaks down the menu, but don't worry—it's only on pause for this episode. Instead, since Nicole is back, we decided to move her signature segment, **Getting Nerdy with Nicole**, up in the rotation. And she didn't disappoint! Nicole digs into the fascinating (and slightly scary) topic of **lightning in Florida's theme parks**. If you've ever wondered about how lightning affects attractions, guests, and even some of the most iconic park landmarks, this is the segment for you. Nicole even shares the shocking story of **August 5th at Magic Kingdom**, when **Cinderella Castle was struck by lightning**, reminding us just how powerful Florida's weather can be.From **epic award winners** to **lightning strikes on castles**, from a **mythical SeaWorld adventure** to the **quirks of Disney history**, this episode has it all. So grab your headphones, settle in, and get ready for another electrifying, magical, and fun-filled ride with the crew on **Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast**.

The world of Disney Parks is constantly evolving, but keeping track of what's actually happening versus what's merely rumored can be challenging. That's why we're thrilled to welcome Scott Gustin, one of the most trusted voices in Disney journalism, to share his firsthand experience from the 2025 edition of Destination D23 and provide context that goes beyond the headlines.Scott takes us behind the curtain of this fan-focused event, explaining how it differs from the larger D23 Expo and why Disney strategically released major announcements like Zootopia Better Zoo-gether, Big Thunder Mountain updates, and the Buzz Lightyear vehicle redesign the week before. As he explains, "Walt Disney World had their own priorities, and they're not to make a really good weekend for Destination D23... their job as a resort is to increase bookings."The conversation reveals several exciting developments from the event itself, including the upcoming Carousel of Progress renovation featuring improved Walt Disney animatronics and the return of Cinderella Castle to its classic pre-2007 color scheme. Scott shares his theory that the castle update might be bundled with necessary structural work: "I think there was bringing forward of some budgeting that is outside of just a paint color." This approach hints at how Disney sometimes finds creative ways to deliver fan-pleasing updates while addressing practical needs.Looking toward the future, Scott offers thoughtful predictions about what we might see at D23 Expo 2026, particularly for long-neglected attractions like Journey Into Imagination with Figment. "It just doesn't work in 2025," he candidly admits, while explaining the operational challenges of taking a family attraction offline at EPCOT. His insights into the planning process and construction sequencing (like how Cars Land must precede Villains Land) provide a realistic framework for managing expectations about future announcements.Whether you're planning your next Disney vacation or simply fascinated by the business of theme parks, Scott's fact-focused approach cuts through the noise and offers clarity about what's actually happening in the Disney universe. Welcome back to another fun-filled episode of Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast! This week, the Roundtable kicks things off with some mouthwatering talk as Remy asks Jen and Mike to share their favorite spots to grab a cheeseburger in Florida. From sit-down restaurants inside the theme parks to hidden local gems, the crew swaps stories about juicy patties, melty cheese, and those can't-miss toppings. They even dive into which fast food chains serve up the best quick cheeseburger fix when the craving hits. It's the perfect way to get hungry before jumping into all the theme park action! After the foodie fun, Remy covers The Latest Theme Park Updates with some major news from Walt Disney World. Over at Magic Kingdom, fans of the beloved classic Carousel of Progress will soon experience something truly special — the attraction is set to feature a brand-new Walt Disney animatronic at the very beginning of the ride. This exciting update will give guests a chance to see Walt himself welcome them into his timeless vision of progress, blending nostalgia with innovation in true Disney fashion. And if that wasn't enough, Cinderella Castle is preparing to roll back the clock with a stunning refresh: the park has announced that the castle will return to its classic blue and gray color scheme, a look longtime Disney fans will remember fondly from decades past. The updates continue with some bittersweet news out of Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Roundtable discusses the official closure announcement for the beloved but sometimes controversial attraction, DINOSAUR. After thrilling guests since 1998 with its time-traveling jeep ride back to the prehistoric age, the attraction will roar for the last time on February 1, 2026. That gives fans just over a year to make their final journey into the late Cretaceous era. The crew reflects on the ride's legacy, its unique thrills, and what its closure could mean for the future of Dinoland U.S.A.Next, it's time for another delicious edition of Mike's Munchies, where Mike takes the Roundtable to Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs. Known for its bright, airy atmosphere and California-inspired menu, this spot offers everything from refreshing cocktails to indulgent desserts. Mike builds a full dining experience — an appetizer, entrée, drink, and dessert — and by the time the check arrives, the grand total rings up to $116 for one person. The Roundtable debates whether the price tag matches the experience, and Mike shares his take on whether Summer House should be added to your must-visit Disney Springs dining list. Then, buckle up for this week's Ride of the Week, as Remy shines a spotlight on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Remy dives deep into the history of this high-speed indoor coaster, from its groundbreaking launch system that propels guests from 0 to 60 mph in just a few seconds, to the ride's unique partnership with legendary rock band Aerosmith. He shares Imagineering details, fun facts, and why this ride remains a fan-favorite after more than two decades. Remy also talks about his own recent visit to Hollywood Studios, where, during his day off around 5:20 p.m., a thunderstorm rolled in and shut down nearly every attraction in the park — a classic Florida theme park experience that locals and visitors alike can relate to!From burgers and dining adventures to theme park history and future updates, this episode of Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast is packed with everything fans love about the Florida parks. As the sun sets over Cinderella Castle and Main Street U.S.A. begins to glow, Disney transforms into an entirely new atmosphere. This is Disney after dark and whether you're catching the fireworks, hopping to a dining reservation, or attending an after-hours event, your outfit deserves to rise to the occasion—without sacrificing comfort.A 1923 Main Street Style Guide for Disney Travelers who Love Disney at NightAt 1923 Main Street®, we believe that travel style should be elevated and that includes elevating your style for Disney nights. Here's how to create an effortlessly stylish, subtle Disney look for magical evenings in the parks.1. Master the Art of Layering for Evening ComfortDaytime Disney is all about breathable tees and sun-ready style. But once night falls, temperatures can dip—sometimes surprisingly so, depending on the time of year. Whether you're traveling in the balmy summer or during those cooler winter months, layering is your best friend.Warm Weather Option: Start with a buttery-soft graphic tee, such as one of the classics from our subtle Disney styles. These shirts breathe through the heat, but pair beautifully with a lightweight linen shirt or soft chambray button-up for when the sun sets. Tie it around your waist during the day for that casually put-together look.Cool Weather Option: In chillier seasons, transition seamlessly from daytime adventure to nighttime sparkle with a trademark 1923 Main Street fleece-lined sweatshirt or hoodies. Our original upscale designs bring Disney charm without the cartoon vibes, offering warmth and class in one perfect layer.2. Embrace Subtle Sparkle and Moody TonesNighttime Disney calls for a little extra something. The look for Disney at night should be elegant casual meets theme park chic.Consider incorporating subtle sparkle through accessories—think a starry crossbody bag or shimmer-accented Mickey ears in a deep midnight hue. Our tees and sweatshirts in moody tones like cardinal, navy and charcoal give your look that elevated feel without screaming tacky theme park. The goal? Let your love for Disney show without sacrificing style. With a 1923 Main Street shirt as your canvas, you're already ahead of the game.3. Style that Flows from Parks to DiningIt's not uncommon to go from taking the perfect castle photos at golden hour to a dinner reservation at one of Disney's signature restaurants as the sun sets. And with the right outfit, you don't need to run back to the resort.A fitted 1923 Main Street t-shirt tucked into a high-waisted skirt or chic shorts can look perfectly polished. Depending on where you're dining, you could even add a blazer or cropped jacket. Going somewhere where purc comfort is the priority? An elegant subtle Disney sweatshirt with tapered joggers or a maxi dress will instantly give you a layered, cozy-elegant look. Our pieces are intentionally designed to blur the line between theme park apparel and travel-ready fashion—so you can dine at Topolino's or Napa Rose while feeling both magical and modern.4. Let 1923 Main Street® Subtle Disney Apparel Be Your FoundationOur subtle enchanting designs are made for moments like these. Unlike loud, kitschy park merch, our clothing is designed to elevate your Disney experience while keeping the magic just beneath the surface. Our monorail design, for instance, nod to the iconic transportation system without screaming it. It's a conversation starter at any Disney bar or lounge and a stylish choice for those after-dark park selfies. Every 1923 Main Street piece is made to move with you from sunrise to starlight.5. Accessorize with IntentionAccessories are where nighttime looks shine. For evening events like themed parties or Disney After Hours go for any of the following:Themed jewelry in gold or silver tones—castle pendants, subtle mouse ears, or star motifs.Stylish ears or headbands in velvet or metallics.Sleek crossbody bags with hidden Disney touches.Classic sneakers or sandals in coordinating tones that keep you park-hopping in style. These small additions elevate your outfit without overwhelming it. They pair perfectly with the subtle storytelling found in every 1923 Main Street subtle Disney design. From Day to Night, Magic in Every StitchDisney after dark is a special kind of magic and your outfit should reflect that. With thoughtful layering, moody tones and subtle accessories, you can transform your look from daytime adventurer to nighttime dreamer in just a few minutes. At 1923 Main Street, our pieces are designed to travel with you—not just through the parks, but through every moment that matters. So when the castle lights shimmer and the fireworks fill the sky, you'll be ready—not just for the photos, but for the feeling you know and love.Shop at 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original travel inspired and subtle Disney travel clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.Thank you for listening and always remember to roam freely and wear boldly.Mike Belobradic and Amelia Belobradic--Media provided by Jamendo

If you like to take travel style photos on vacation, then half the fun of travel is planning what you're going to wear. And while we love a good outfit-of-the-day #OOTD selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower or Cinderella Castle, there's something even better than scattered snaps: a thoughtfully curated travel lookbook. It's part mood board, part memory keeper and part style savior—and when done right, it's as functional as it is fashionable.Whether you're island-hopping in Greece or road-tripping on Route 66, here's how to turn your travel outfits into a wearable lookbook that makes packing easier, boosts your style confidence, and levels up your Instagram social game. Why a Travel Lookbook Helps with Packing and StylePacking for a trip can be as overwhelming as choosing your airplane seat. To help make the process a little easier (and hopefully more fun), a travel lookbook is your cheat sheet. When you plan your outfits ahead of time, you avoid overpacking, underdressing, or ending up with five pairs of pants and zero tops that match.A lookbook forces you to think in terms of outfits, not items, so everything in your suitcase pulls its weight. You'll feel more put together, and you won't waste precious vacation time figuring out what to wear. Note: If you're wondering how a lookbook differs from a capsule wardrobe, read this post.If you create pre-trip look book, you'll never again be asking yourself “why did I pack this?”Start with a Mood Board (Pinterest is Your Best Friend)Before you even open your suitcase, create a visual game plan. Pinterest is the MVP here. Start a board for your trip and pin anything that feels right—colors, landscapes, street style and of course, pieces from the 1923 Main Street® collection that reflect your destination's vibe.Heading to Italy? Think neutral tones with a pop of lemon. Bali? Light, breathable layers and earthy textures. A Canadian Rockies getaway? Cozy layers, vintage washes, and a splash of outdoorsy charm A Walt Disney World vacation? Subtle Disney style is your friend. Your mood board becomes a visual style compass. It helps you stay cohesive, focused and inspired when building your lookbook. It's also a lot more fun to scroll for ideas and themes online that to look aimlessly through your closet.Documenting Outfits as Part of the Travel ExperienceFor a lot of travelers, outfits are a key part of the journey. Just like that amazing pastry you had in Paris or the hiking trail you conquered in Utah, your travel wardrobe tells a story. So make sure that you set yourself up to capture it well.Snap a quick mirror shot before heading out, get a street-style pic mid-day, or ask your travel buddy for a few candids. You don't need a professional shoot—natural moments look much better almost every time.To level up your vacation outfit game, use your phone's photo album or an app like Stylebook to save outfit photos and notes (weather, comfort level, what you'd tweak next time). This turns your lookbook into a functional archive for future trips.Tag, Post, Repeat: Boosting Social Engagement with Your LookbookSharing your lookbook on social media isn't just for the ‘gram—it's a way to connect with fellow travelers, inspire future trips and grow your personal brand with truly unique content (yes, even if it's just for fun).To get the most from your lookbook style, mix up your posts. Try a carousel of outfits, make a Reel of your daily looks, or do a “what I packed vs. what I wore” TikTok.Every time you post, you're not just showing off your look—you're contributing to a global style story. And if there's one thing that people love to like on social media, it's travel outfits.Make It Personal, Make It PracticalCreating a travel lookbook isn't about being perfect or matching every trend. It's about feeling confident, having fun and making memories—in style. Whether you're a visual planner or a spontaneous packer, a little forethought goes a long way.So next time you're prepping for a trip, think beyond the selfie. Start a mood board, build your looks around your favorite 1923 Main Street staples, and create a travel lookbook that's not just wearable—but shareable, memorable and 100% you.Shop at 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original travel inspired and subtle Disney travel clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.Thank you for listening and always remember to roam freely and wear boldly.Mike Belobradic and Amelia Belobradic--Media provided by Jamendo

Circle of Parks Podcast: Talking all things Walt Disney World
Imagine experiencing Walt Disney World without the stress, phone battery anxiety, or exhaustion that often accompanies a theme park vacation. That's exactly what we discovered on our recent seven-day adventure through Disney's magical world. Our journey began at Blizzard Beach water park, taking advantage of the free entry offered to resort guests on check-in day. Unlike the sometimes overwhelming Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach proved more navigable and family-friendly, setting the perfect tone for our vacation. Afterward, we checked into the elegant Grand Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, where Spanish-inspired design and relaxing ambiance created an upscale retreat from park excitement. The game-changer for our trip? Lightning Lane Multi-Passes. Yes, we spent an additional $725, but the freedom this investment provided transformed our experience completely. Without constantly checking our phones for return times or standing in lengthy queues, we discovered a more relaxed approach to Disney that we didn't know was possible. Each day brought new delights as we explored the parks at our own pace. At EPCOT, we walked right onto Soarin' while others rushed to Guardians of the Galaxy, savoring the often-overlooked attraction without crowds. Hollywood Studios surprised us with impressive new shows featuring The Little Mermaid and Disney Villains, both showcasing technology and storytelling that exceeded our expectations. And Animal Kingdom delivered perhaps the best safari experience we've ever had, with nearly every animal visible and active. One unexpected revelation: taking occasional breaks from each other made our family time more meaningful. Those 30-45 minutes of "me time" – whether wandering Galaxy's Edge with a Gold Squadron Lager or people-watching from a bench near Cinderella Castle – prevented friction and recharged everyone's spirits. From watching fireworks at the Polynesian beach to discovering what might be Disney property's best burger at D-Luxe Burger, our unhurried approach uncovered magic we'd previously rushed past. We followed our Disney adventure with four days at Vero Beach Resort, where we discovered buffalo-tossed Disney chicken tenders that should absolutely make their way to the parks!Ready to experience Disney differently? Let our journey inspire you to slow down, prioritize enjoyment over exhaustion, and discover the true magic that happens when you're not checking the time. And does anyone actually know how to change a flat tire without calling AAA? This packed episode delivers answers to these burning questions and many more as we dive into our listener mailbag. The debate gets heated when discussing whether Wine and Dine or Marathon Weekend offers the superior half marathon experience. Also in this episode: The King Stefan Banquet Hall Backstory – Why Imagineering picked the wrong king in the first place—and how nobody caught it before opening day. Dave Smith and John Hench's Awkward Phone Call – The archivist and the Imagineer have a polite, slightly painful conversation about medieval royalty. The 25th Anniversary Castle Cake Fallout – Why complaints about the Pepto-Bismol pink castle pushed Disney to rethink the restaurant's name. How Cinderella's Royal Table Was Finally Born – And how it became one of the most popular (and profitable) restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. Listener Questions and More – Updates on Disney and Universal surveys, Lightning Lane changes, and Epic Universe tips. It's a story of castles, kings, and the longest game of "whoops" in Disney Parks history. Yeah, we're dipping our toes back into the Starkid pool to talk about their brand new musical "Cinderella's Castle." Somehow their darkest and most morbid musical interpretation, yet feels the least mature compared to a lot of their previous work. Yes we're of three minds about this one. Is it their most divisive musical to date? Probably. Come along and sing a song and join the jamboree. Credits: Hosts: Jesse McAnally & Andrew DeWolf & Liz Esten Podcast Edited By: Nathan P.
