What is the first line of treatment for eating disorders? What is the best medication for binge eating? Warren Ward. If you take one thing away from this powerful episode, it's when you see the name don't just think “hooper.” Think businessman, brother, son, friend and a growing human. Episode 153 has us go back with one of the coldest U Sport hoopers we have seen, an absolute walking bucket (who could also guard, don't get it twisted), and an all-time leading scorer at the University of Ottawa. Having a late start to the game didn't hurt Warren or his growth, he developed a love and his skills quite rapidly, eventually getting recruited by a few schools in Canada and the states. It was a trip down to Indiana that took him down his University path, a small JUCO that didn't have the right feel motivated him to return to Canada and see what his options were. A phone call from a former guest on AHJ, Mr. Dave Deaveiro who was the head coach at Ottawa interested Warren, and after a visit to the campus he committed to the Gee-Gees. Trips to nationals, working on his craft with intention, an All-Canadian and a whole bunch of learning experiences had Warren ready to play the pro game. His story gets wild from here, as he has a brief interest from the NBA (You need to hear the story), eventually finding himself signing his first contract in Germany. After a few seasons, Warren unfortunately had multiple injuries (2 ACL tears and an Achilles), and he knew it was time to move on from the game. The growth and reflection Warren has had since then have made him the man he is today; all the the things we started this writeup with and so much more. Warren also is in the podcast game, give his show @youonlydietwicepod a follow! Such a dope episode, tap in!!!!!!!!!! A successful canola crop needs a lot of nitrogen, which is why nitrogen has A-list status. That same successful crop also depends on a strong supporting cast - phosphorus, potassium, sulphur and micronutrients. Canola council of Canada agronomy specialist Warren Ward says farmers will benefit from soil tests, yield history and economics to determine how much fertilizer their canola needs. Protein is an important component in a person's diet---whether it be animal-based or plant-based. Nationally recognized registered dietician Carol Harrison says protein has many benefits, but questions come up on different the types of protein, how much is enough, are plant and animal-based proteins the same. She will also have some tips on how to extend your meat budget a bit more.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Farmers across Western Canada have received or are awaiting the results of their soil tests in order to make important decisions about fertilizer applications for the year ahead. Canola Council of Canada agronomy specialist Warren Ward says without soil testing, producers are guessing how much nutrients are in the soil and how much fertilizer is needed to hit target yields. He explains how soil sampling is the starting point of a good nutrient management plan. The driving force of the agriculture industry is the resilient, hardworking, and dedicated individuals along the value chain who produce high-quality, safe food that feeds the world. As we become more urbanized it is increasingly important for farmers to connect with consumers and teach the public about modern agriculture. Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan Executive Director Clinton Monchuk will talk about how agriculture month offers an opportunity to engage and build trust. Clinton is also a farmer, and he will share with us what this growing season has been like on his family farm near Lanigan, Sask. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
