We're back in the building for Episode 197 of We're All Set Podcast, just a few steps away from that 200 milestone. This episode is a goody as Rich and Free break down all the recent news in the culture. We kick things off by delving into the stark contrast between interrogation room reality and social media myths that often distort our understanding of the pressures faced by individuals in such situations. From there, we catch up on the latest happenings in our lives, discuss our upcoming NFL content plans, and other culture discussions.Of course, we couldn't resist the allure of music. We discuss the leaked calls between Young Thug and Gunna, the betrayal that unfolded, the Bank interview, and the lingering question of whether Thug himself leaked the information. We also delve into the concept of “snitching,” examine Thug's post-jail slump, assess Gunna's polished media strategy, and raise the broader question: is the music industry pushing authenticity out of the culture?Of course we tap into sports and recent Week 1 NFL recap. We discuss the the highly anticipated Cowboys vs. Eagles game. We also explore the cultural significance of Lamar Jackson and the ongoing frustration with the Ravens' coaching. Next, we pause for a moment to dicuss the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk in public. We provide raw and unfiltered takes on the climate of political violence and its implications for America today. So, tune in, subscribe, and join the ongoing conversation. The comments section remains open for your thoughts and insights.

From there, the conversations spiral: comedian Druski catches heat for a controversial skit (32:05), Cardi B celebrates her lawsuit being dismissed while dropping a snippet of her new track “Bodega Baddie” (36:15), and Latto teams up with Ice Spice on their latest release “Gyatt” (01:07:00). Charlamagne stirs the pot by claiming GloRilla could hold her own against Nicki Minaj in a Verzuz (01:10:35), Ciara allegedly changes her son's last name (01:39:45), and leaked jail calls put Young Thug back in the headlines (01:48:30). Oh, and just when you thought it couldn't get stranger — the first AI robot gets diagnosed with PTSD (01:58:20).It's another week of chaos, comedy, and culture you don't want to miss.Support the showhttps://instagram.com/weaintdonepodcast?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

In the Chisme, Jackie Told us about new music from Drake & Cruz told us about Ice Spice & Latto making up and making a song.
Episode 93 starts off with Trivelle chronicling his weight loss journey and how it has changed his ability to cuddle, before the convo shifts to one of the biggest hip hop stories of the past week: the Young Thug leaked jail calls. Convos with a litany of people, including 21 Savage, his now ex-girlfriend Mariah, and more, find Young Thug speaking on his disdain and issues with a plethora of Atlanta key players and music mainstays. These comments can be seen as either pent-up frustration or true feelings. At the time of recording, some of the bigger names had not yet been released, but the group discusses the lasting impact on the Atlanta scene...often seen as the most unified in hip hop, a reputation that's fuelled their long musical run. Another city that enjoyed a long run, Miami, comes up next with a retelling of Ace Hood's unfortunate contract situation, in which Khaled had a hand. This leads the convo to previews of two new Khaled songs: the mega posse cut with dancehall and reggae legends Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, and Movado titled “You Remind Me” and “Brother” featuring NBA Youngboy and Post Malone. Cardi beating her court case follows, with the convo stemming from a recent interview where Billboard asked her about a “Big 3” that includes her, Nicki, and Meg Thee Stallion. While OShauN disagrees with the notion of a Big 3 being brought up in every comparative class, DJXP explains why there may be undue pressure on Megan Thee Stallion to be considered among hip hop's top echelon ...pressure that may come more from her backing than necessarily her skill or versatility. The gang then runs through the new track “Gyatt” featuring two former female rap rivals, Ice Spice and Latto, who buried the hatchet to get the clubs moving with their latest record. Next up is the Drake and Bobbi Altoff interview, with everyone sharing their thoughts on how it went... some enjoying it, others explaining why they could've done without it. The convo then moves into sports stories, including Gilbert Arenas and Skip Bayless teaming up for a football show, and the scandal rocking the sports world involving Steve Ballmer and the Kawhi Leonard debacle. A fictitious tree-planting company, allegedly created to avoid salary cap restrictions, is revealed to have been paying Leonard his true value. The Rock's new movie gets a standing ovation, Will Smith signs a big-picture deal with Paramount, and a heated Reddit debate has OShauN fired up as a woman with a tattoo of her deceased boyfriend on her chest wonders why her new relationships always end prematurely. This episode is jam-packed. Lock in… You Might Wanna Sit Down 4 This.

This week’s Nose, guest hosted by comedian Shawn Murray, looks at: Highest 2 Lowest is the fifth collaboration between director Spike Lee and actor Denzel Washington and their first in 19 years, since Inside Man in 2006. It is an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 police procedural, High and Low, which is, itself, an adaptation of the Ed McBain novel King’s Ransom. It also stars Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, A$AP Rocky, Ice Spice, Dean Winters, John Douglas Thompson, Wendell Pierce, and more. And: Alien: Earth is the first TV series — after nine movies — in the Alien franchise. It is a prequel set two years before the events of the original movie, and it’s created be Noah Hawley, who also created the Fargo TV series, among other things. Send us a textWhen faced with a hypothetical eight-hour drive listening to only one artist, the crew unanimously crowns Bow Wow as the sensible choice over options like Ice Spice and Blueface, questioning whether some artists even have enough material to fill the time. The conversation takes an intriguing turn when discussing the three-way beef between Cam Newton, Gilly the Kid, and Johnny Manziel. What began as a debate about quarterback rankings quickly escalated into threats of physical confrontation, prompting the hosts to deliver surgical takedowns of Manziel's fallen career and questionable life choices. Things get political as the crew examines Trump's bizarre attack on Charlamagne Tha God following comments about the Epstein list, raising uncomfortable questions about who might appear on such a list and why certain powerful figures seem more concerned with media feuds than international relations.Between discussions of sex toys being thrown onto WNBA courts and an uproarious would-you-rather game pushing the boundaries of polite conversation, this episode exemplifies why listeners keep coming back for more.
