Hello and welcome to the "In The Moment" podcast, with me Alex Manzi, your coach podcaster, and your friendly neighborhood mind sherpa! In this episode I want to explore the difference between self-care and self-love. This is something that comes directly from my journey from depression to finding inner peace and fulfillment, working with athletes, artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs along the way. What i realized is... self-care is about doing things that make you feel good, like going to the gym, going to the Spa, or to the cinema. While self-love is a deeper mindset of accepting and loving yourself, even through challenging times. It's something I am, more than something I do. If this sounds interesting, see how you can move from self-care to self-love and how embracing a state of self-love can transform your life and relationships. I'm going to do what I do for my coaching clients: dig into some practical advice on incorporating self-love into your daily routine, and start living a more fulfilling life. 00:00 Intro 00:56 The distinction between Self Care and Self Love 01:24 What is Self Care 03:02 What is Self Love 05:58 The big difference 09:03 There's an overlap 10:04 Conclusions My next retreat "Free Your Mind" is on the 3-8 of June in Menton, France. I've Spent $50K On Self Development... WAS IT WORTH IT? Welcome back to "In The Moment"with Alex Manzi... and yes, as you've read in the title I have in fact spent about 50.000 pounds (about 60.000 in US dollars) in self development in the last 3 years, and in this episode I'm going to tell you all about it. There's a lot of wrong information and misconceptions out about coaches and self development... my experience has been truly life changing. I've started with one coach, the I aded others, and groups and mentors and retreats, to transform my financial situation, but then also my relationship goals, my mental wellbeing, my emotional status. 3 years later... I'm happy to say that I'm exactly where I hoped I would be, I'm living a dream. And I started my own coaching career. So, let me tell you how it works. 00:00 Intro 00:40 I've spent $50K on self development. 03:13 What if they told you... 04:42 Identifying goals. 06:15 What are you lacking? 07:33 Spectating VS Participating. 10:35 Where are you at in life? 11:28 Level of commitment. 13:45 When I started with my 1st coach... 15:14 I've become more... me. 17:07 before all this, I was hiding. 19:19 Conclusions. What I Learned From Interviewing 100+ Artists. Welcome to In The Moment with me, Alex Manzi, your friendly neighborhood mind sherpa. This is a special episode of the podcast for me. We're closing soon on 300 episode and I wanted to reflect an all the interviews that I made from 2017 until now. I've interviewed for this pod (that was initially called "The Dreamers' Disease") 100+ artists and creatives and I learned a lot from it. I've had known musicians like Wretch 32, Gabrielle Aplin, Sinead Harnett, Tom Grennan, Sam Tompkins. We've talked about depression, adhd, mindfulness routines, what we pass on to our sons. I've talked to the famous podcaster Dr. Rangan Chatterjee and he remembered the pain of losing his father and how that changed his life. I've even had the pleasure to speak even to Jerome Flynn, which famously portrayed Bronn in the TV show Game Of Thrones, and with him we had a deep chat about acting, art and the struggle of many people living in today's world. I feel grateful to have had all these amazing interviews here. In this episode I try to recap everything I learned from it. 00:00 Intro 00:49 I started in 2017. 02:33 Everyone has a story. 05:46 Experience of pain. 10:04 Everyone wants the same thing. 14:07 We can bring our dreams to reality. 17:34 People give up. 18:56 Recap and DM me! The TRUTH Behind Extraordinary Results. Hello dear listeners, welcome to another episode of In The Moment with Alex Manzi! I'm your friendly neighborhood mind sherpa. I was thinking recently that... most people see some extraordinary results, achievements, and think that they're something supernatural. Out of this world. In fact, extraordinary. I had the same feeling with a friend of mine that recently ran a marathon. To me it seemed impossible. But... is it true? Because I've found out... these extraordinary results are often a result of... very ordinary actions, repeated consistently. Let me explain. 00:00 Intro 00:55 Extraordinary results 01:47 Example no. 1 (marathon) 02:35 Example no. 2 (famous coaches) 04:12 Example no. 3 (clothing business) 05:00 Example no. 4 (relationships) 06:06 Example no. 5 (health) 07:10 My book. WAITING VS CREATING: How Embracing Action Has Changed My Life. There's a substantial difference between living while waiting and living with creating. I spent many years of my life waiting. Waiting for something to happen, for my business to grow, for myself to change in someone better. And I was frustrated. Then I understood how creating, action, that is the key to actually changing your life. In this video I'll address different real life examples of what I mean by that. 00:00 Intro 00:55 Waiting Vs Creating 02:08 I spent years waiting 06:29 My business grew from nothing 07:05 The line between waiting and creating 08:20 Frustration Vs Excitement What do you think? From Burnout To Breakthrough: The Power Of Taking A Break. Are you sure you're taking the quality Time Out that you need? I, for one, was convinced that was resting when actually... what happened was: I was spending all my free time thinking about the tasks I needed to do during my Time In. But we need real rest to achieve what we want. Maybe, sometimes, it's as easy as deciding to take a nap, and listen to our inner wisdom... 00:00 Intro 01:09 "Free Your Mind" retreat 02:33 Quality Time In + Out 04:45 What Does It Mean? 06:52 Client example no. 1 08:38 Client example no. 2 11:57 Keith Blevins What do you think? This time I want to tell you a story that may be useful to change your life, like it did mine. Hello everyone, in this episode of In The Moment I'd like to give all of you some tools to get out of anxiety and depression, and I want to start from my own life story. I can't believe it was 10 years ago when I was living constantly in depression. Like a fish in the sea, I didn't know what water is... I was just living in it, in my depression, believing it was the norm. Only after a breakdown I realized that I needed to change. In particular, I want to explore 3 key principles that have been useful to me: Recognizing, Accept, Growth. I want you to know that all of this is available to you too, if you feel like you're struggling. 00:00 Intro 01:30 Ten years ago I had a breakdown 03:29 Three key principles 04:28 No. 1 Recognizing 05:41 The tale of the fish 10:23 No. 2 Accept 12:15 Jiddhu Krishnamurti's quote 15:21 No. 3 Growth 19:31 Allowing yourself space 22:08 This is available to you What do you think? How 1,000 Pieces Of Lego Taught Me To Love The Creative Process. And here we go dreamers, this is Alex, back with a new episode and... here I want to tell the story of how I fell in love with the creative process. Believe it or not, Lego, and in particular building a pirate ship of 909 pieces (yes, not really 1,000 but that looks better in the title LOL) made me realize that the end goal we often have in mind when we want something... it's just not as good as enjoying the process of building it, of doing it, of being it. 00:00 Intro 02:07 It was frustrating 04:04 What Lego taught me 09:07 Learning to love the process 11:49 The end destination What do you think? Hello everyone, I'm back after a bit of a pause after years of this podcast. It's been a moment of change for me, my career and life as a life coach is giving me a lot that I'd been searching for all my life and... I've decided now that I want to give you guys some of the lessons I learned all these years. For starters a hot take: I recently stopped doing meditation after years of daily practice. Let me stop you there before you say anything: meditation is actually good. But the reason why I stopped is... well, just listen to this new episode, and hear what I have to say. 00:00 Intro 02:33 How I started meditation 06:59 Practice and State Of Meditation 10:12 Being aware 13:17 Peace of mind Please come say hi, maybe send a DM on Instagram and TikTok at @iamalexmanzi, and please subscribe to my YouTube channel!
On this week's episode I chat with the amazing Trist Taylor: he's a successful Business & Branding Consultant, but more importantly he's a friend who recently changed his life and his business after a difficult moment earlier this year. I wish you all a happy new year! In this episode we discuss: A life changing year How we live behind masks What success is Wanting it now Who are you being? On this week's In Focus session I discuss how the Self can often seem like two separate things: the spiritual side, infinite and connected to everything, and the personal side, which is finite and more connected to our wants and life purposes. Even if these two may seem separated, they're actually one thing appearing as two, and this gives us the freedom to be able to change and redirect our life and our "self". On this episode I discuss: The separation of self How to use the unlimited source My experience with depression wasn't fixed 3 questions you should always ask yourself If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
This week's episode is a bit different from the usual. This episode comes from an interview that I did for someone else's podcast that didn't go out... but there was so much value here that I needed to put this out myself. I talk about my story, my journey from depression to being a coach, and what interviewing 200 plus guests in my podcast in the last 5 years has taught me about how we all have rock bottom moments that can spark a change in our life, if we're open to it. On this episode I discuss: 1. My breakdown at 25 years old 2. From the BBC to being a Life Coach 3. The Rock Bottom moment 4. What's being happy? 5. The struggle of being open 6. Lack of motivation 7. Be where you are 8. Poem “The Dash” by Linda Ellis 9. Nature doesn't mind 10. The concept of Zero Plus 11. My game changing moment 12. On this week's In Focus session I discuss how we often need to clear out our mental loft, in order to create new things. Clearing out means making room in our minds to allow us to see the opportunities around us. When we get stuck on some ideas, some stories that we believe about ourselves, that we consider permanent in our life... these can often turn into limitations. Even when we perceive these as strengths. Because they stop us from changing. On this episode I discuss: Clear out your mental loft The pressure that comes from the need Even a strength can be a limitation If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's episode I chat with the amazing Andrew Murnane, which you may know from his TikTok account (where he reached 1 million followers), or as the co-host of the Dualistic Unity podcast. In this conversation with Andrew we discuss happiness, the labels that limit our reality, being in the moment and finding your freedom in life. In this episode we discuss: Andrew's story How he got 1 million followers on TikTok Suffering and control You are the present More, different, better don't exist If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Andrew Murnane: IG and TikTok: @notandrewmurnane Dualistic Unity Podcast: dualisticunity.com Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss how to create the "easy" in your life. If you want to do new things, or change something in your life that isn't working, or create more opportunities for yourself... you've got to stop making it harder than it is. A thing is harder -or easier- than something else only because we believe it is, because our mind has labeled it as such. If you want to change start creating the easy for yourself. On this episode I discuss: You can create the easy in your life A few examples from my own life: going to the gym, walking, reading The commitment to doing something is key If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's episode I'm happy to share this amazing conversation with author, podcaster and entrepreneur Daniel DiPiazza. Daniel has his own podcast "The New Wave Podcast". He has an eclectic mind and together we discuss opening our minds to different levels of consciousness, in particular through our experiences with mushrooms and psychedelics, the discoveries we've made, and how we have integrated these into our daily lives. In this episode we've discussed: Daniel's story Psychedelics and mushrooms What to expect from a psychedelic journey The implications of these discoveries in our daily life The idea of no separation If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Daniel DiPiazza: IG: @danieldipiazza Web: newwaveentrepreneur.com Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss how we experience the world around us, our life, through the lens of our thoughts. It's like everyone is constantly wearing a pair of "VR Goggles of Thought", seeing only what's in our thinking. However, we often don't even realise that this is happening. On this episode I discuss: How you're only ever experiencing your own thoughts Your experience is always created from the inside-out We're living with the VR goggles of thoughts on We don't need to do anything with 99% of thoughts in our head Your thinking about what's happened is what annoys you, not the reality of what happened If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's episode I'm delighted to bring you this amazing conversation with Dr. Amy Johnson. She's a Life Coach, a psychologist, and she's the author of several incredible books that I've read more than once recently, like: 'Just a Thought: A No-Willpower Approach to Win Self-Doubt and Make Peace with Your Mind' and 'Being Human'. She's also a public speaker and in 2017 Amy opened The Little School of Big Change, an online school that has helped thousands of people to find freedom from anxiety and live a peaceful life. There are so many gems in this discussion: How she started her journey into psychology and coaching The story we tell about ourselves The conditioning of our mind Where does our suffering come from The idea of self Formless energy Changing your past If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Amy Johnson: IG: @dr.amy.johnson Web: dramyjohnson.com For more information on Amy's 'Little School of Big Change', which will be re-opening it's doors next month, go here: https://dramyjohnson.com/events/fall-school-registration-page/ Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss about how to forgive yourself and live free from the past and the judgment. In this episode I read some extracts from Syd Banks writings, something that I've already done in other In Focus sessions. Particularly I read about "Forgiveness And The Power Of Thought", in which Banks explains how not forgiving yourself means living forever as a prisoner of your past. Of your traumas, of your judgments, of your negative feelings. I've seen this in my own life: for years I lived having misconceptions about myself and judging my past actions in the heaviest possible way. I was a prisoner of my own past, of my own thoughts. But what I've now realised is that forgiveness is freeing. On this episode I discuss: Forgiveness and love How to forgive yourself We are prisoners of our own past What are we judging ourselves for? Forgiveness is freeing If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's episode I chat with Olivia Wynne, international Life Coach and founder of OA Coaching. Olivia is a good friend of mine, and has made her life's goal to live fearlessly. She has worked very hard to put the traumas of her past behind her, realise her full potential and is now helping other people to do the same. On this episode we discuss: How she started her career as a Life Coach Bringing value to other people How trauma can limit our beliefs A 'no' can be a blessing in disguise The mistake of buying into our past If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Olivia: IG: @oa_coaching Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss about how abundance is everywhere, and how our mind creates limitations. This episode is the third that comes from the insights that I've had in this past month of coaching retreats. This time, I'm talking about abundance and opportunities being around us, and how our mind creates limitations that don't allow us to see this. What happens is: we have a thought that creates a feeling. This feeling is neutral, but the mind will interpret it, label it, and create a story around it that doesn't have to be true. A certain energy can be intepreted by the mind -and by us- as bad tension or good excitement, in a different context. This means that we don't have to buy the story that our mind is telling us is true. And if we do this, we become open to the abundance that is everywhere. On this episode I discuss: Abundance is everywhere Who do I need to be for miracles to show up We don't have to buy the stories that our mind creates for us Thoughts and feelings are two sides of the same coin How the mind labels our feelings If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss how we often suffer needlessly. This episode is the second that comes from the insights that I've had in this past month of coaching retreats. This time, I'm talking about how we create our own suffering, and how this suffering doesn't have to be. Because It's our thinking that separates our feelings in good and bad ones. That creates the conflict we live in: we experience something but we want a different experience based on our judgment of that feeling. Are you aware of the suffering that you're creating for yourself? And, are you gonna do something about it? On this episode I discuss: Mental suffering is us suffering needlessly How I thought I wasn't good enough How we create our suffering Bad versus good feelings How to be aware of the suffering that we're creating If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss how to adjust the speed of your life. This episode comes from the amazing insights that I've had in this past month of coaching retreats. In particular, here I'm discussing the need that we have to adjust the speed of our lives. We can't drive in gear 5 all the time. Sometimes we have to accept the fact that if we're in gear 5 in one area of our life, other areas may have to stay in gear 2 or 3 for a while. Some other times we just need to just stop and ask ourselves: at what speed am I going through this? And, am I ok with it? On this episode I discuss: What limitations are we creating for ourselves? You can't drive in Gear 5 all the time Adjusting the speed of your life The conflict is caused by our thinking I discuss the story of one of my clients If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Produced by Michele Azzu Music by Hobgoblin Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk

On this week's In Focus session I discuss who is the 'self' you're trying to develop? In a lot of the personal development world, we talk about developing the 'self' but when we take a deeper look at who this 'self' is, it makes less and less sense to focus on developing it. I believe this world of growth is a subtractive process, yet when we are looking at developing a 'self'. it can be the opposite. On this episode I discuss: Being bigger than what we think we are The 'self' is an identity we have made up through old beliefs Is personality fixed or changeable? and more If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's episode I am joined by Sundance Robson who is a men's coach and ceremonial leader as well as being a good friend of mine. I first connected with Sundance at the men's immersion I attended in November and was drawn in by his aura and story. In his life Sundance has overcome a lot in his life; from addiction to abuse to systemic discrimination because of his Indigenous Canadian heritage and more. Sundance now walks a beautiful path of growth and dedicating his life to helping other men, as well as sharing the traditional teachings from his Indigenous culture. During this conversation, we spoke about: Doing the work is really about removing stuff Labels not needing to define you Biggest traditional values to live by And much more If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) A huge thank you to Michele Azzu for producing and editing this episode, and to Hobgoblin for providing the sick music. On this week's In Focus session I am breaking down Syd Bank's 3 Principles lecture from a Conference in Hawaii in the early 90's. Syd Banks, was an ordinary working man, not searching for truth or wisdom or even aware of much beyond his day-to-day life. At the age of 43 he had a profound spiritual experience that revealed to him three, long-lost, divine principles that are a foundation to all of human experience. In his 'Hawaii Lecture', Syd, talks about these three divine principles and the implications of them. It's a really powerful talk and, like most of his work, is pretty hard to come by. In this episode, I want to share my deep learnings and insights from this particular audio. On this episode I discuss: Being one thought away from perfect mental health Why you don't need to 'heal' your past The role of free will Forgiving and forgetting in relationships If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) A big shout out to Michele Azzu for editing and producing this episode and to Hobgoblin for providing the music. Now she's stepping out into her own lane and releasing great music in her own style. We had a very interesting conversation around balancing mental health and success and Morgan shares very openly about her experiences During this conversation, we spoke about: The connections between thinking and feeling Putting your happiness before success Why the pandemic was good for growth If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Connect with Morgan: IG: @morganconniesmith Tik Tok: @morganconniesmith Connect with Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I discuss the difference between application and implication. In a lot of the personal development world, people are offering 'How To' or steps to achieve things. While I don't see this as a bad thing, I do think there is something bigger at play. That, is understanding the implications of your personal learnings rather than looking at how to apply them. On this episode I discuss: The difference between application and implications Having less to do What happens when your perspective shifts and more If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's episode I am joined by my friend and coach Sachin Sharma in the first of a series of podcasts in which we will be sharing our insights and experiences through our day-to-day lives. In this episode we are exploring the idea of everything in life coming from nothing, it all comes from zero. As humans ‘zero' is our natural state. It's one of inner peace, unconditional love and clarity. Everything else is additional; it's ‘plus'. When you worry When you overthink When you stress When you're angry When you're annoyed It's all ‘plus'. All thought and feelings come from zero, they're all ‘plus'. This means we don't have to react to them and when we do, it always takes us away from zero and into ‘plus'. If you enjoy this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Connect with Sachin: IG: @sachinsinsights Connect with Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk
On this week's In Focus session I am breaking down a talk from one of my greatest teachers in life, Syd Banks. Syd Banks, was an ordinary working man, not searching for truth or wisdom or even aware of much beyond his day-to-day life. Over 35 years ago, he had a profound spiritual experience that revealed to him three, long-lost, divine principles that are a foundation to all of human experience. In his talk 'Beyond The Word', Syd, talks about these three divine principles. It's one of my favourite talks from him and, like most of his work, is pretty hard to come by. In this episode, I want to share my deep learnings and insights form this particular audio. On this episode I discuss: Finding the 'now' Past only existing as memory All conflict coming from thought Finding your inner self If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) Follow Alex: IG: @iamalexmanzi Tik Tok: @iamalexmanzi Twitter: @iamalexmanzi thedreamersdisease.co.uk

On this week's episode I am joined by Lawrence Choto who is 19 year old content creator with over 320,000 followers on Tik Tok and he is someone who is undoubtedly wise beyond his years I first came across Lawrence during 2020 when this young man was sharing such hard hitting spiritual truths and really looking like he walked the walk of what he was talking about and wasn't just reciting some quotes that he read in a book. He fascinated me so much, as I was so intrigued how someone so young could be so wise and knowledgeable, so I knew I had to reach out and ask him to join me for a conversation. Jamal Edwards, the founder of the media platform SBTV, which helped to launch grime and a new wave of artists to a global audience, died on Sunday morning at the age of 31. Jamal is someone who I knew through my time spent in the music industry and saw as a real inspirational character. So it hit me really hard to hear that he had passed away at such a tender age. Edwards was also a director, novelist, DJ, entrepreneur, and designer, and he received an MBE for his work in music in 2014, when he was only 24 years old. Some of the world's most successful performers – including Ed Sheeran, Dave, and Jessie J, Skepta to name a few - began their careers on SBTV, Edwards' platform, which started as a YouTube channel, before being signed to major labels. Edwards began SBTV "on a £20 phone" while still in high school and turned it into a renowned online youth broadcaster, according to Edwards. His YouTube channel, which he started in 2006, now has 1.2 million subscribers and nearly 1 billion views. Stormzy, Rita Ora, Krept & Konan, Bugzy Malone, and others were among the musicians featured on the channel, which was called after Edwards' rap moniker SmokeyBarz. In a 2017 interview with the Guardian, Edwards said, "I always looked at grime like the punk movement, in terms of lyrics and defiant attitude." SBTV's F64 – a fresh 64 bars of new and unique lyrics – was a signature format that featured everyone from renowned artists like Wiley to novices and up-and-comers. Edwards grew raised in Acton, west London, and was born in Luton in 1990. To support himself while developing SBTV, he earned a BTec diploma in media moving image from Ealing College and worked at retail chain Topman. When he became wealthy, Edwards invested heavily in philanthropy, especially mental health and youth centre support. He sought to break down stigmas around men's mental health by speaking openly about his personal anxieties, and in 2021 he initiated an initiative to renovate and reopen youth centres. People from the music industry, politics, athletics, and other fields paid tribute to Edwards on social media. Edwards also served as an ambassador for the Prince of Wales's charitable organisation, the Prince's Trust. This is a treatment which focuses directly on the fascia in the body (the connective tissue that runs throughout the body) and helps deal with chronic pain. During this conversation, we spoke about: Benefits of Myofascial Release How the muscles in the body store emotions The relationship between pain and thought and more If you enjoyed this session and think there is someone you feel would benefit from hearing it then please make sure you share it with them :) A big shout out to London Media Lounge for sponsoring and editing this video - for all of your content creation and production needs head to londonmedialounge.co.uk to find out how they can help you today!
