Last week I had a discovery call with a woman leader who felt that her perfectionism was keeping her stuck in procrastination, stress & performance anxiety. She was never good enough in her own eyes and the fear of failure stopped her from taking on projects that she wanted, because if she did, and failed, she felt that she couldn't live with herself. So it was better to not do it at all, because then she did not risk anything. I asked her; What are you longing for? And she paused, and said, “I want to feel peace. I want to be able to enjoy life more. To be present. To not always be striving, to be able to let go of things and not be so demanding of the people around me. To have more fun. And to not always over-work stuff until the last minute.” You have no idea how common this is, so that's why I want to bring it up. This woman has everything you could wish for on paper, and still feel so self-critical on the inside, pushing herself like crazy. Maybe you even recognize yourself in some of this? This is an episode series in two parts. In this first one, I will talk about what perfectionism is, and the real cost of it on your health, relationships, and performance. I will go into three different kinds of perfectionism and how those might play out in your life. In the second part I will talk about some of the root causes, how I work with my clients to reduce their perfectionism, and some things you can do yourself. Here are my 3 key takeaways from this episode: 1️⃣ Balance work, health, relationships, and personal growth: In the modern world, it's easy to get caught up in the busyness of daily life and neglect these essential pillars. However, a fulfilling life requires finding a balance between all four. Prioritize each area and make intentional choices to allocate time and energy towards them. 2️⃣ Work smarter, not harder: Achieving a healthy work-life integration is about working smarter, not necessarily working less. Set clear boundaries between work and personal time, prioritize tasks, and delegate when possible. By doing this, you'll excel in your career while still making time for other important aspects of life. 3️⃣ Prioritize your health: Your health is the foundation for all other successes. Don't sacrifice it to achieve your goals. Make time for regular exercise, maintain a balanced diet, and get sufficient sleep. Taking care of yourself physically and mentally will enhance your overall well-being and allow you to perform at your best in all areas of life. Remember, achieving balance is a continuous journey. It requires intention, practice, and letting go of ego. But by prioritizing work, health, relationships, and personal growth, you can cultivate a fulfilling life. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tj-sweet/support

“The very most important thing you can do is have radical compassion for yourself every single moment of every day.” - Nadine Robinson This Real Talk emphasizes the inherent, sacred value of sex, devotion and self-compassion. It was a magical, miraculous time hosting Nadine Robinson on this episode. Nadine is a Holistic Women's Health & Relationships expert, Entrepreneur and International Best-Selling Author. Nadine gifts us eye-opening revelations about the encompassing power of sex and the gateway of profound, spiritual exploration it provides. She explains that sex goes way beyond the physical mechanics, and at its crux is self-realization rooted in vulnerability, connection and zeal. Nadine also draws attention to the power of devotion – the radical act of being present in the midst of life's precious little miracles. Devotion plays a big role in the source of knowing ourselves better, as it allows us to be more aware of the things that bring us pleasure and joy, and allows us the grace to savor those special life-giving moments. Her perspective on how sex energizes us and connects us to a distinct Oneness was beautiful to listen to, and incredibly insightful. One of my favorite parts was when Nadine shared that “The most powerful space of devotion is when someone loves you broken.” It's an encouraging reminder that we are worthy of unconditional love, despite our self-diagnosed faults. You're lovable right now! Please share this episode with someone in your circle who needs to be reminded that they're worthy of the love they seek! With so much love & gratitude, Grace

Is it well with your soul?   Have you ever been taught HOW to process your strong emotions and experience health and wholeness?   3 John 2:1  Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.  The King James Version begins the verse with John saying ”Beloved, I wish above all things…”    Transformation is an inside out process. Often we can focus on disciplining ourselves to look at our thoughts and renewing our mind, but often have an intellectual approach. (Romans 12:2)  Renewing our minds is not just memorizing Scripture, and taking our thoughts captive. We must process our emotional needs and limiting beliefs, or we can become stuck, unable to move forward into all that God has purposed for us.   In this episode, my husband, Fred and I discuss the importance of a thriving soul, where we examine our emotions, become self-aware, then connect with God to experience healing and wholeness.   Key Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 3:4 “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,”  Luke 1:29-47 (Mary's response) John 2:1-12 (First miracle of Jesus) Philippians 4:6-7   I want to help you live at a higher level where your soul (mind, will emotions, imagination) thrives, so you can experience a prosperous life.   Episodes mentioned that will help you learn more: 44 Free To Be Me!
