Hey Grounded and Growing fam, its your host Jess! Although this was not planned, I have decided to take a temporary break from podcasting. *Trigger Warning*: Some topics in this episode include mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. As you can see from the title, today's episode is going to be all about healing, which I believe is something that is a never ending on going process that allows you to reach new heights mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. To help me deliver this message I am so honored to have the amazing Chelsea Cora from Austin, Texas, who also hosts her own podcast, The Soulful Self Podcast. Chelsea Cora is an intuitive healer, podcaster, speaker, and Divine messenger. In 2018, she had a spiritual awakening that led her to leave behind toxic relationships, alcoholism, a myriad of negative mindset/behavior patterns, and eventually her job as a stripper. She is passionate about helping people transform their lives from the inside out and awaken to the limitless reality that is available to us as spiritual beings. In this episode, Chelsea and I share how to begin your healing journey, some things to be aware of and to expect during this process and other tips that have supported us during our own journeys. Between the holidays and end of the year jitters, I know it can be super easy to let your foot off the gas and ultimately lose sight of what you're working towards This time of the year is something referred to in business as “separation season” which by the name is pretty self explanatory. This is the time of the year when most people check out and say “can't wait for the new year so that i can start building all these great habits and set some goals, new year's resolutions” and so on and so forth. Meanwhile, other people understand that in order to set yourself up for a successful new year, building those habits and setting those goals starts now! And that is what this episode is all about! Tune in to learn about how you can start setting yourself up to have the most successful year for yourself and your business! With the end of the calendar year coming up, holidays, traveling and lots of fun festivities are going to be filling up our calendars! While I am excited to be able to celebrate another holiday season, as I'm sure you all are too, I also know that this is a time when a lot of people tend to lose sight of their goals whether it be in business, health and fitness or just life in general. This time of the year is recognized by most entrepreneurs as “seperation season” because while most people are checking out mentally, the doers and action takers understand that making use of this time to set themselves up for a successful new year is crucial! It's like that saying, “stay ready so you don't have to get ready!” So for today's episode, I am featuring Hannah Celerin who is a beauty boss and VA from Tampa, Florida who is one of the hungriest entrepreneurs I know at the moment! Her drive to grow herself and her business has inspired me so much while working with her and I just had to share her growth with the world! Hannah is someone who heavily believes in investing in yourself in order to get to your next level, and I can say that is one of the many things we have in common. Listen in to hear her transformational story of being part of the Mindset to Manifest program and to see how you can create results just like hers! For today's episode, mindset and growth coach (and host of the show) Jessica Bennett shares her take on toxic positivity. This is a topic that has been talked about more and more, especially recently, so Jessica wanted to add to the conversation as well. In this episode you will learn the definition of toxic positivity, hear some examples of what it can look like in your life, some of the impacts it can have and how you can become aware of it and ultimately avoid doing it. This is a great episode for anyone who is working on personal development because it shares great insight on how positivity can not always be the answer and offers more productive solutions in lieu of just being positive all the time. Today's episode brings a powerful message from the Grounded and Growing Podcast's host Jessica Bennett covering different aspects of what it's like to be on the journey of reuniting with your authentic self. Growth and healing is something that everyone can benefit from, but not everyone chooses or realizes that they want or need. Being on this path of personal development is one that doesn't come with instructions and is not something most people have ever done before, and that's why it is so important to have a source of guidance and support along this journey. This is one of the main reasons for Jessica's pursuit as a mindset and growth coach which she speaks about in this episode. If you are looking for inspiration on your own growth and healing journey this is a great episode to dive into! If this conversation was helpful for you, we'd love to know! In this episode Jessica and guest Katie Batres touch on a topic that is very dear to their hearts, which is their faith. Growing up Catholic, both Jessica and Katie learned so much about God, religion and themselves. The timeline of their paths to the Christian faith were very aligned and they share many common beliefs when it comes to faith, especially when it comes to encounters of spiritual warfare. During this conversation, Jessica and Katie share their experiences of what their spiritual attacks have been like and how they were able to overcome them. The reason why Jessica felt that this was an important topic to discuss is because as much as this podcast is about growth, she also wants to be fully transparent and prepare anyone who may be following the teachings offered in this podcast for what may come when you begin and continue to elevate. As mentioned in the episode, the intention of this conversation is not to try and convince anyone to believe what we believe, but to simply share what it is that we believe and to support others who share these same beliefs as well. We truly hope that this message finds whoever it is meant for and it helps in some way. If this message did that for you, let us know by filling out a feedback form https://form.jotform.com/211750198420047 or sending us an email at groundedandgrowingpodcast@gmail.com or a DM on Instagram @groundedandgrowingpodcast.

In celebration of #MotivationalMonday, I wanted to share a message that was placed in my heart from recent personal experiences. As much as I love to share ways to get ahead, grow your business and win in life, today I wanted to talk about what to do when you're feeling overwhelmed by comparison or experiencing self doubt. Self doubt is something we all go through from time to time, and if you're an entrepreneur like me, it's something that can be hard to overcome when you expect a lot from yourself. In the past, when I've felt down or like I wasn't doing enough, it would take me days and sometimes even weeks to get past it. In today's episode, we have guest speaker Kylie Biazevich who is a certified yoga instructor and also an advocate for all things health and wellness, and when I say all things I mean physically spiritually mentally and emotionally. She is a female entrepreneur who is currently building a business around self awareness and healing, with the intention of leading and guiding others to find that in themselves. In this interview, Kylie and I share a lot of what seem to be unpopular opinions around healing and spirituality. We take a deep dive on why mental health/healing has become such a topic of discussion now and why we're still battling with people being able to be open about what they're going through. This conversation, by design, disrupts the social norms of how many of us have been conditioned to not talk about our feelings and how some people have even been discouraged from feeling their feelings! This is a really great episode for anyone who may be feeling lost or overwhelmed by the thought of needing to be further along in life than you are and is a great reminder that we are all exactly where we are meant to be! As a bonus, we kick off this episode with some grounding since this is after all the Grounded and Growing podcast! Today's episode features a guest who refers to herself as the “money doctor” but some of you may know her on Instagram as the fierce female financier! And when you all hear this episode, you'll see that she definitely lives up to that name as she is fierce! Her name is Gian Saunders and she is the founder of her financial services company, Elevate Financial, and her intention with this company is to help others develop a healthy relationship with money through products, services and education. In this episode, Gian and I talk all about the limiting beliefs that inhabit the minds of many people and how to overcome them. It is a mission that she and I share to debunk myths about money as well as support people in letting go of the “lack mentality” that is common around finances. We share many of our favorite quotes and analogies to help explain our points and even share our own personal life experiences. This episode is a real, raw and authentic conversation between two people who are passionate and excited about growth in all aspects of life; financially, relationally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually so it is a little different from some of the other interviews you may have heard on this podcast because it truly is so candid. Today's episode is a little different than you all are used to but the intro explains it all! In this episode, I explain the concept of creating your own magic! And by "magic", I don't mean pulling rabbits out of a hat or waving a wand saying "abra cadabra"; the magic that I'm referring to in this episode is the ability that we all have to be able to create the reality that we actually want through raising your vibration and focusing on feeling good and being happy! This is an amazing episode to listen to if you feel like you have been stuck in a rut or just need a positive pick me up! I hope that you all enjoy this episode and that it inspires you to create your own magic! Have thoughts on this solo episode? Today's episode features Chrissy Danielle Urquiza; founder and CEO of Onmyownwave, fitness model, and host of affirmitbabe podcast. Chrissy started her business 3 years ago and has since been able to grow her brand, her audience, and most importantly her inner self and mindset. In this episode we talk about the different ways that growing a business can stimulate growth in all areas of your life; mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. She and I both share the same experience of feeling lost and unsure after high school from not being clear on where we wanted to go in life, and how learning to let go of limiting beliefs and building confidence is ultimately all anyone needs to go after what they want. We believe that success is a universal formula, one of my favorite examples of this is a parallel that Chrissy and I talk about between improving fitness and life; both require you to put in the work, rest and trust the process to get to your goals and the results speak for themselves! We also get into some stigmas around “work-life balance” and how enjoying the journey of working towards a better self is such an important factor to your overall success. One of my favorite things about Chrissy and her brand OnMyOwnWave is her motto to move with passion, purpose, and intention and how her messaging is aimed to inspire & uplift others in their own personal self-development /fitness journey. This interview with Chrissy showed me where consistency, intention, passion, and work ethic can take you. I hope this episode shows you that when you start taking care of yourself, you start to feel better overall and when you feel good you're focused on building momentum to keep moving forward. In today's episode, we are featuring the youngest entrepreneur so far on the Grounded and Growing Podcast and her name is Blaze Lloyd, owner and CEO of Lashiivo in Saskatchewan, Canada! Blaze began her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 16 when she decided to become a lash artist after getting her lashes done for her birthday. During this time, she balanced being a high school student while building her business by working early mornings and late nights, putting in the work and making absolutely no excuses. One of the many things that I really love about this episode is how on multiple occasions, Blaze explains how she used the money that she saved, and invested it into growing her business, as opposed to just spending it on something with short term benefits. The message that she sends with these kinds of decisions is one that I believe we can all learn from, which is to focus on and base your actions on your long term goals, and you can reap the benefits of having anything you desire. Now just 3 short years later of grinding, saving and reinvesting in herself and her business, Blaze went from trading time for money by providing services, to now having a store front, a product line and a whole team working with her to grow her company! Although her quick success may seem unconventional to some, Blaze explains how her mindset to block out anything that is not conducive to her success has allowed her to keep growing despite what others may think. I believe that Blaze is an amazing example of what true hard work, dedication and self belief can manifest in your life. Tune into this episode to hear more about Blaze's journey and what more is to come from her and her company Lashiivo! Have thoughts on this solo episode? Today's guest on The Grounded and Growing Podcast is Denise Brady, who has been a therapist for 11 years and has served the Los Angeles area, specifically advocating and providing care for the chronically mentally ill and individuals working through childhood trauma; emotional, verbal, physical, and sexual trauma. As an ally and Queer Affirming therapist, Denise also works with the LGBTQIA-2 community, providing all of her clients with a safe space to be their authentic selves. In this episode, Denise shares some of the positive benefits of therapy, and how it can help both parties (the practitioner and the client) learn more about themselves and understand their ways of being. Through being a therapist, Denise has been able to change the lives of many and impact her community in such a positive way that is truly inspirational and eye opening. Although it may seem like there are certain stigmas around mental health and therapy, this conversation really brings to light that we are all going through adversity and challenges in our lives that we don't talk about, however, talking about it in a safe space can allow you to be able to heal and grow into who you are truly meant to be. This interview inspired me to be courageous in showing up as my authentic self and to spread kindness to the world and especially to myself, and I hope it does the same for you! If we can all work towards healing our traumas, we can slowly but surely make this world a better place for ourselves and others. As a young entrepreneur from Orange County, CA our guest today Alexis Martinez, now popularly known on Instagram as “TheLexFlex” created multiple successful businesses all before the age of 25! On the outside, that seemed like a very glamorous feat, but deep down she still struggled to find happiness and fulfilment in her day-to-day life. One of the many life lessons Alexis explains in this episode is something we hear often, but something I think many still do not fully understand; which is that money does not magically make you happy once you have it! As cliche as that may sound, Alexis is an example of how you can have all of the things that society deems as “good” and “all that you need”, but you can still feel empty inside. As she continued her journey as an entrepreneur, she found her passion in the health and wellness industry and began coaching. In this interview, she states “I'm very passionate about health and wellness, in both the body and the mind. I really stress that because I don't believe that you can be healthy in your body without your mind matching that” and I wholeheartedly believe this to be the truth! In a world where our outer appearance is constantly being judged, it can be very overwhelming to want to look good and have that be the main focus of why you workout and how you determine your eating habits. But as a coach and as an individual, Alexis has made it her goal to teach other women to focus on creating health and wellness not only in their physical state but in their mental and emotional as well. Todays guest is a pleasure embodiment coach, Miko Lau! As a pleasure embodiment coach, Miko is dedicated to supporting women to reclaim their sexy and feel confident about themselves in order to ask for and receive what they desire. In this episode, Miko breaks down all of her walls and shares how body shame has impacted her life in ways that were traumatic for her while she was growing up. She goes deep, gets vulnerable, real and raw about these experiences and explains what she was able to learn and how she was able to grow from it. Ultimately, it was these traumatic events that led her to finding her passion, which is helping other women who have been through similar experiences overcome their fears, doubts and limiting beliefs of themselves. This one is a MUST listen for all of my ladies out there! In this interview, Miko reminds us all of the true power that we were innately given as women and that if we can embrace that power, it can be the key to unlocking all of our greatest desires in business, relationships and life itself. Today's guest is none other than Damari (Perez) Gold! Not only is she the CEO and founder of The Gold Standard Tax and Accounting Firm, but she is also a first-generation Mexican-American female entrepreneur and money mindset guru! Growing up in East Los Angeles, California, Damari became money conscious very early on in her life. She faced hardships and struggles due to lack of money and ultimately lack of understanding money; so she decided to change the narrative for herself about finances. Starting as an intern, Damari began educating herself on the money game, in order to give herself and her children a better life. Now, here she is, more than 10 years and 3 college degrees later standing as an advocate for women all over who are in the same position she was once in. What started out as a strategy to get herself out of debt and solve her own money problems, has now turned into a passion project to empower and educate women on financial literacy. In this episode you will learn about different aspects of finance such as the importance of saving for retirement, how to prepare for your taxes, and how becoming money confident can be simple and fun! Today's guest is none other than Miss Jackie Nguyen! Jackie is the owner and CEO of “Cafe Ca Phe”, Kansas City's first ever Vietnamese coffee shop, a business advisor for Pretty Rich Bosses as well as a former Broadway actress. In this episode, Jackie vulnerably shares her experience of the responsibilities and pressures she faced growing up as a first generation Vietnamese-American, that I'm sure many Asian Americans can relate to. Being the only child (out of 4 other siblings) that was born in America, and the only daughter at that, the struggle was real for her to get perfect grades and succeed in all areas of her life. So much so, that Jackie faced many mental health issues, such as manic depression and anxiety, starting early on in her teenage years. The road hasn't been easy, but Jackie refused to let these issues stop her from reaching her goals and instead found healthy ways to manage these health concerns so that she could move forward powerfully in her career. One of my favorite things about this episode is that Jackie really gets us grounded by highlighting a lot of the things that many of us take for granted in this country, like opportunities and privilege. This interview is filled with many perspectives of how life can be so different depending on what you look like and where you come from, but more importantly how to use those things as an advantage instead of a disadvantage. Starting off as a nurse, Anjela began to pursue her American dream in Carson, California. In her early twenties, she gave birth to her first daughter, Jaela, who she later learned had a rare genetic disorder called Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) otherwise known as Hurlers Syndrome. This disease has no found cure, and without treatment can be fatal. As if being a new, young, and single mother wasn't enough motivation to win, Anjela took her daughter's diagnosis, and used it to fuel her fire and desire to succeed. With so many odds stacked against her, Anjela decided that she was not going to allow herself to be a victim of her circumstances, and began her personal development/ growth journey. As time progressed, she courageously made the jump from being a nurse, to building her own empire in the financial industry!
