In this episode we WadeOutThere with Martin Gerdin, from Aspen Colorado.  Martin grew up fishing with a spinning rig and a passion for fish that bled over into an early introduction to the world of glass art.  As Martin began to learn the craft of shaping glass, a fish was first on his list to create.  Martin credits his later discovery of fly fishing for helping him maintain sobriety and for bringing clarity to his art and life.  Since he began fly fishing Martin has also become passionate about the native species of North America and has spent much of his free time learning their history and seeking them out with a fly rod.  We discuss how to find and fish to bull trout, the habitat challenges bull trout face,  and the process of creating fish from glass.Learn More:Instagram: @martin_gerdin_glassMartinGerdinGlass.comVisit WadeOutThere.com/art for 10% off your first original painting or limited edition print from show host and artist Jason Shemchuk Visit TacticalFlyFisher.com and use Promo Code: wade15 at checkout for 15% off you next tactical gear purchase.Newsletter Sign-Up . Kencan Dengan Tuhan
Edisi Hari Rabu, 6 Desember 2023 - Harinya Tuhan

Kencan Dengan Tuhan

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 5, 2023 5:40

Kencan Dengan Tuhan Rabu, 6 Desember 2023 Bacaan: Mazmur 118:24 "Inilah hari yang dijadikan Tuhan, marilah kita bersorak-sorak dan bersukacita karenanya!" Renungan: Pada hari Minggu, 18 Maret 1979 di Aspen Colorado sebuah pesawat jatuh sesaat setelah lepas landas. Saat itu, Ny. Stephanie Ambrose May, kehilangan suami, putra, putri, dan menantunya. May menulis di catatan harian mengenai perasaannya. Stephanie Ambrose May. Amin. (Dod).

Follow us on Twitter and Instagram. Or click here for more information: Linktr.ee/BeatlesEarth   --- The Beatles were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960, that comprised John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They are regarded as the most influential band of all timeand were integral to the development of 1960s counterculture and popular music's recognition as an art form. Rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock 'n' roll, their sound incorporated elements of classical music and traditional pop in innovative ways; the band later explored music styles ranging from ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock. As pioneers in recording, songwriting and artistic presentation, the Beatles revolutionised many aspects of the music industry and were often publicised as leaders of the era's youth and sociocultural movements. Led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, the Beatles evolved from Lennon's previous group, the Quarrymen, and built their reputation playing clubs in Liverpool and Hamburg over three years from 1960, initially with Stuart Sutcliffe playing bass. The core trio of Lennon, McCartney and Harrison, together since 1958, went through a succession of drummers, including Pete Best, before asking Starr to join them in 1962. Manager Brian Epstein moulded them into a professional act, and producer George Martin guided and developed their recordings, greatly expanding their domestic success after signing to EMI Records and achieving their first hit, "Love Me Do", in late 1962. Since embarking on a solo career in 1999, John has recorded seven solo albums: Phunk Shui, 100 Miles of Life, Mississippi Mile, The Bluesville Sessions, Good Road To Follow, Arkansas and most recently Live from Nashville with the Good Road Band. In addition, his 2017 autobiography “Change of Season” released by St. Martin's press became an Amazon best seller. This year John and his wife Aimee have partnered with the streaming broadcast service NugsTV and co-producer Drive Entertainment Group to create a virtual celebration of stories and songs called “OATES SONG FEST 7908“. Inspired by a live series of shows that they created in 2010 at the historic Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, CO. “OATES SONG FEST 7908” will be a free streaming concert with all donations and proceeds going to FEEDINGAMERICA.ORG. The broadcast will feature an all-star roster of artists all of whom have volunteered their songs and performances to help families without food across the nation. “ My wife Aimee and I are committed to Feeding America's mission to feed America's hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage us all in the fight to end hunger. In a country like ours…no family should have to go without food.” John continues to tour the world with Daryl Hall, and perform solo as both a musician and public speaker. He also produces, collaborates and develops new artists and has recently completed a series of songs for the upcoming feature film “Gringa” to be released soon. John and his wife Aimee reside in Nashville, Tennessee and Aspen Colorado.

The skiing in Aspen is world-renowned, and it's easy to understand why. The mountains are full of challenging slopes that appeal to all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The Aspen area is known for its abundant snowfall yet sunny days. The ski season in Aspen typically runs from November through April, but the best time to ski Aspen is the end of January to early February. Consisting of 4 mountains, Aspen is a very large resort but very easy to navigate with the well-organized bus system. Whether you're an expert or a beginner, you'll find plenty of runs to enjoy. Sebastian's favorite mountain was Highlands which had the most advanced terrain. Ajax, also known as Aspen mountain, is the "locals" mountain with great advanced skiing. Buttermilk is the best mountain for beginners. Snowmass is the largest mountain and a more extensive resort; however, it is where most of the traffic can be found. Sebastian also stayed in Snowmass and stopped for snacks at Snowmass Mall. On all of Aspen's mountains, the expert terrain is easily accessible, which is not the case in all mountain resorts.Aspen is also home to some of the best hiking trails in Colorado. There are dozens of trails in and around Aspen, ranging from easy to difficult. Many of these trails are accessible even in the winter months, and the views of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. In the summer, you can also find plenty of other outdoor activities in the area, such as rafting, mountain biking, and horseback riding. When the sun goes down, Aspen transforms into a vibrant nightlife scene. There are countless bars, restaurants, and nightclubs to explore in the city, as well as numerous music festivals throughout the year. For those looking for a more laid-back evening, there are plenty of cozy pubs and cafes to choose from. Some of Sebastian's favorite restaurants he and Jess visited in Aspen were French Alpine Bistro, Almresi, and Venga Venga. French Alpine Bistro is an upscale spot with excellent fondu, beef bourguignon, and truffle and cheese gnocchi. The best part? You can find amazing vintage wine such as the Portuguese 2019 pinot noir called Quinta Do Javali, Clos Fonte Do Santo. Another great dinner spot, Almresi, had tasty beef stroganoff, and must-have fondue. Some of Seb's favorite bar recommendations are Hooch Cocktail Bar, which has an excellent Mezcal drink, and a dive bar called Silver City. If you are incredibly boujee and looking for a one-of-a-kind "experience," visit Cloud 9 off the Cloud 9 chairlift. Cloud 9 is famous for its Veuve Clicquot parties.Whether you are on a honeymoon, a birthday trip, or a vacation break,  Aspen is the perfect destination for an unforgettable vacation. From world-class skiing to vibrant nightlife, you'll have a blast at any time with anyone in Aspen.

My guest today is Bud Marolt. Bud is a member of the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame; oldest of the Marolt  brothers (the others being Max and Bill), all of whom have contributed so much to US skiing. The Marolts grew up in Aspen CO where they began their ski careers and witnessed the exploding growth of skiing.  Bud, in his youth was an accomplished ski racer including national downhill champion in 1950, he and his wife Jeannine created the Loveland Ski School's children's ski programs that brought 2,500 kids from Denver to ski each winter. Bud also founded the Loveland Basin Ski Club and established the Loveland Derby, the oldest amateur ski race in the U.S. Why Loveland of all places. I call Loveland the ski area with a heart. It's the kind of place where you can ski with a family without being worried about where your kids are, you can buy lunch without taking out a loan, the skiing is amazing and they simply care. Loveland has a summit elevation of 13,010 ft and a vertical drop of 2,210 feet serviced by 9 chairs and substantial off-piste skiing serviced by snowcat. The mountain has 1900 acres of skiing, 96 trails with 13% for Beginners, 41% Intermediate and 46% Advanced spread across two mountains—Loveland Valley (for beginners) and Loveland Basin for all ability levels—with shuttles and chairlift connecting the two. My Favs Best Restaurant – Loveland Grill - solid food at the best prices in the ski world Best Hotel - closest is to stay in Dillon /Silverthorn area or Georgetown Best Apres - Rathskeller - on the mountain in the base lodge - great gathering spot Best Run- Patrol Bowl for the steeps - Rookie Road for the groom and view, Don't miss – Cat trips to some amazing terrain or Loveland Valley for the beginners --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/john--morgan/message

Pastors and church leaders often face the pressure to "perform," whether that means always appearing as spiritually confident, emotionally intact, or even just always showing up as the idealized version of themselves. In our age of authenticity, how can pastors and church leaders balance the need to "perform" in some capacity while also being true to themselves? In this conversation with Paul Romig-Leavitt and Brian Davis, two veteran worship leaders who know what it's like to "put on a show" for thousands of people at a time, we talk about handling the pressures and how to lead in a healthy and sustainable manner.   Brian has been leading worship in the Denver-metro area for the last 25 years and has built relationships with dozens of churches all over the city. Authenticity and empathy have been hallmarks of Brian's leadership, and his intention is to use these attributes to coach other worship leaders and inspire greater creativity and deeper spiritual practice in the local church. Brian has three daughters, and he and his wife, Jess, live in Lakewood, CO. He also serves part-time as the Worship Arts Director at New Denver Church. Paul has been a worship leader and pastor in the greater Denver area since 2001 working in full-time positions in churches such as Crossroads Community Church in Parker, The Refuge in Broomfield, and Restoration Church in Denver. Along with working as a guest worship leader in many other churches in Colorado, Paul also works with the Aspen Institute in Aspen CO as the Production Manager for the Aspen Ideas Festival as well as a director with the Denver video production company Colorado Arts Productions. Paul is the Co-author of “Cue-Lines,” a collection of plays and sketches he co-wrote with Greg Stier for the Dare 2 Share conferences. He lives in Broomfield CO with his wife and two daughters. And then the other book we have is a woman's guide to conscious love. And why we are here is to obviously talk about your book, but we're also at the Mind Body Soul spring release in Aspen, Colorado. And I guess technically we're in West Salt, salt, basalt, Colorado, Aspen is up the road a lead off. And we're at the beautiful capital Creek brewery capital tree brewery, which actually is pretty awesome. And a lot of fun, right? Yeah. And then you have submitted our n has submitted articles to mind body soul in the past, but currently, in this magazine you can find and in the resource section, so if you happen to get your hands on Mind, Body Soul, spring 2022. And you want to find an O'Brien who's written these two amazing books. She's in the resource section. But anyway, oh my gosh, like psychic powers. Everyone is psychic. How fun is that? And I'll ask you, where do you want to start? What do you want to talk about? First? What do you what do you? Well, let me start with this. We're gonna start with a woman's guide to conscious love. And what was the inspiration for this book? Ann O'Brien  01:55Oh, my gosh, life. That's that's been a life's journey. I think you know, in terms of what's going on in the world right now I've been I'm an intuitive I'm an energy healer. I've been working with a lot of clients 1000s of clients since 1999. But as you might imagine, more women than men. Yeah. And the biggest question I've been getting is about relationships. And what I was noticing as a pattern was that women would come to me and they'd want to find a relationship with a man or they'd want to make their relationship better with a man they had. But then they were complaining a lot. And they were doing a lot of things to push it away or sabotage it. And I could see on an energetic level. So yeah, on a level that a therapist might not get to, or you know, another relationship advice book that tells you what to do and what to where doesn't get to, I can get to the psychic levels of what's going on. And then in the world, there's been this movement of like, let's bash the patriarchy and let's make men wrong. Yeah, women's power. Women's power is not helpful if we're just pretending to be men. And I would get all these women coming to me like really struggling, because they couldn't figure out how to find their feminine power and bring out the best in the masculine and so that's why I wrote this book. Mischa Zvegintzov  03:07Oh, by that's amazing. Thank you. Yeah, and so and so. Like, wow, my I'm just like, My mind is blown right now. Honestly, I'm, I'm thinking you're amazing, obviously. So don't worry any dead spots, spots we can edit out. I have a My first question, or my next question is 1990. When did you start in 1999? Yes, you start this coaching, you start coaching women. What's the catalyst? Oh, go ahead. Ann O'Brien  03:48I started doing readings in 99. I actually started my business and Oh, four. But yeah, it's been a long journey. So Mischa Zvegintzov  03:55Oh, so you're doing like, tell me what you're doing? I guess maybe, yes, Ann O'Brien  04:00I do. One on One readings, like so energetic, intuitive, psychic readings, okay, where I close my eyes, and you tell me what's going on in your life and what you're struggling with and what you want to make better or what you want to manifest, okay. And I look at energetic patterns of you know, either what's going on around you and your energy field that's getting in the way or between you and another person or in your job situation. And then I do energy clearing so I'll be like, oh, there's a dead spot here. There's your mom's energy stuck on you off. And while you're really way off in the future, let's get you back here. So you can manifest so I call you back. I clear your energy. And I can only do that if you want you know if you're ready, like yes, I'm not I don't force it. I don't tell people what they should do. I don't I'm not like a peeping Tom looking at stuff. People don't want to show me I think my clients show me what they want to see or what they want me to see and what they want to hear on what they're ready to show. Mischa Zvegintzov  04:56Cool. And so I love that. Thank you for explaining that for sure. And then do you? Are you I have a friend her name's Brahmin Carrie, we call her DK. She does some of that type of energy clearing and such. She's got a, what's the term I'm looking for? It's not like like a mentor, but it's like a guru. Thank you. So do you have a guru? You Ann O'Brien  05:20don't have a guru? Mischa Zvegintzov  05:22Nothing you should. I was just curious. Yeah, cool. Ann O'Brien  05:25I study for 10 years with some really high level psychic teachers. And yeah, I have studied with gurus in the past, I've tried out a lot of different spiritual things. But yeah, kind of found my own at this point. Mischa Zvegintzov  05:36I'd love it. I actually I like the guru of free. Because he strips away a lot of that. I think how you said it earlier just a minute ago was like, I'm not trying to force you in anything you don't want to do or bring you somewhere you don't want to go. But it's more of just holding space and super open way with this little agenda other than helping or dogma as possible. Is that a good way to say that? Ann O'Brien  06:10I sound like a spiritual empowerment coach. Okay, you know, I help people find their power within I believe we are all infinite beings. And we have these bodies. And so my goal is really how do we get all that we are as these infinite spiritual beings into the body and live as that in the 3d world not to separate and go off into lala land? Mischa Zvegintzov  06:32Gosh, so fun. So 1999, you 9899? What year? Ann O'Brien  06:41Was it? Nine, I got my training and started doing reading. Mischa Zvegintzov  06:44Cool. Was that due to, like hitting bottom in your life? Or did you read an article or what was the catalyst for that? Ann O'Brien  06:55Well, I hit ever since I was a teenager, which was prior to that, I was very sensitive. And I couldn't figure out how to manage it. And I didn't realize that all this stuff I was feeling all the time was in mind. Like, I didn't know that that was a psychic ability, or you know, and we all have it, but I had it a lot, you know, and I do not have a mentor. So that's where I went to, you know, Zen teachers, I went to yoga to yoga teachers tried all these different types of meditation. And then around 99, late 90s, I found this psychic development school and at the time, I was living in Boulder, Colorado, and I just went in there, they had this free healing clinic for the public. Yeah. And I would go get free healings. And then I would go get student readings and pay a little money. And they're like, after why they kept seeing me, they're like, take a class. And I'm like, okay, and you know, it really, really spoke to me, of the all the meditations I had done. It really clicked for me. And I really felt like I was getting somewhere. And then I started learning to do readings. And then I realized, gosh, you know, like, the readings are the easy part. Yeah, hearing out what was me and what wasn't me and living my life accordingly. That was a bigger thing. And then doing readings for people and learning how to interpret what I'm seeing and trusting myself. That was a bigger thing. Mischa Zvegintzov  08:08That's interesting. Can you maybe just give me a minute or two on on on? Like, examples of what you are what's not you? Like? I think that's easy to say. But like, can you give me some flavor around that? Or does that make sense? Ann O'Brien  08:25Yeah, yeah. Well, like I remember when I was in college, I would get sad every Sunday. Okay, for no reason. Like, there was nothing that happened consistently every Sunday for me. That shouldn't make me sad, right? Yeah. And then after a while, I had this talk with my mom. And she's like, I just wish you would call me on Sundays. Because that's when my mom always or that's when I would always call my mom. When I went off to college, but you're not calling me. I'm like, Thanks for the memo. Like I had no idea. I was expected to call you at least Sunday. But now I know why. I'm sad every Sunday. Yeah, we clear that up. I wasn't sad on Sundays anymore. Mischa Zvegintzov  09:00Yeah. Interesting. I love that. Thank you for that. Yeah. Cool. So you, you you start doing this, you start playing in this arena, you start you sort of, I don't know, fix yourself is right. Or you, you you sort of get aligned? Yeah, you get aligned. And then I imagined friends associates, whatever, like, Hey, can you do that for me? Or Ann O'Brien  09:27rather, how do you how it started? Yeah, school. You know, I was a psychic student. I was in a year long clairvoyant program. And so my friends are like, Oh my God, you're learning to be a psychic. And so I started giving readings, both in the school setting and for friends and family and then it's just kind of Mischa Zvegintzov  09:43cool five year four or five years, years later, you're like, hey, I can do this as a professional. Ann O'Brien  09:49She just kind of became obvious at the time. You know, like, yeah, do this for your job. You never would have thought that but okay, I surrender and Mischa Zvegintzov  09:58your two votes later a woman's guide to conscious love navigating the play of feminine, feminine and masculine or feminine masculine energy in your relationships. And then we've got everyone is psychic, if people want to find you, where we're find these books are Amazon like, Ann O'Brien  10:24so. Probably the easiest thing to remember is everyone is psychic.com. Mischa Zvegintzov  10:28Oh, cool. Awesome. And then, cool. So you you write this book, you've got 1000s of clients, like what's your, what's your? I have two questions. First off, when when were you like, I'm really helping people. When was that? Was that like an aha moment for you? Or was it a slow build? Or does that question make sense? Yeah, Ann O'Brien  10:52I think there was a one moment I think it was once I started doing readings, it just became clear that it was helpful. Yeah. You know, as people would say, when I was a student, like, Oh, my God, you're right. On your right on I'm like, okay, yeah, I guess I can do this. And I teach now I teach intuitive training programs. I have six month program. So I have students training with me over zoom, and some are in the graduate programs. I've had people studying with me now for over a decade. Oh, wow. And I've watched them from the first, you know, few classes to now where they just like even within the first few months, they'll make a huge leap in their confidence, just because they're practicing. And they're getting the feedback that yes, they're right on. Mischa Zvegintzov  11:33Yeah. Wow. And if someone wants to jump in a class, one of your classes or courses, how do they do that? Ann O'Brien  11:39Again, they can go to everyone@psychics.com. And right now, we don't have any new class starting right away, but they can sign up for my mailing list, and then they'll be in the loop. Mischa Zvegintzov  11:49Cool, fantastic. And anything before we move on to your most recent books, there we go. What would you want anything that I didn't ask you, or you would fell feel remiss that you didn't talk about this book? Before we move on? Ann O'Brien  12:08Well, there's tons in here, but I would just say, as a general theme, I don't know if y'all can see there's a river here. And I use this analogy of the river and the river bank. So when people talk about masculine feminine energies, you know, right now it's new, it's trendy to neutralize it all. Like, oh, yeah, we're all like, whatever. Yeah, we all need to give everybody our pronouns and all that because you anyway. Masculine, masculine and feminine. Right? These are real, these are real energies. So we are hold Yes, we all have masculine and feminine within a polarity is real. And we see it in nature. And when people are confused, because I think one of the things going on in the world right now is people are confused. People are wounded. Like we all had a lot of traumas and problems and challenges in our relationships. So to go to has, how do you figure out where's the feminine power? What's the masculine How are you look to nature, and the river is like that divine feminine is flowing and can be small can be big. She's shaped by the riverbank he's mental hold and contain and help direct the flow. Okay, she also shapes and informs how he should hold that space for her. Yeah, right. Yeah. So if we get confused, just like in that's just one example. But that's a theme that I just wanted to point out on the cover. Mischa Zvegintzov  13:26Yeah. Awesome. Do you inspire people all the time? Do you find Ann O'Brien  13:33I think so when I'm not hiding at home and just like meditating, and we were, you know, yes, I put out a lot of energy in my work. So I do need a lot of quiet time. But yes, I feel like when I go out my intention is to just bring bring my light and to help people find their light and yeah, already and cool. Mischa Zvegintzov  13:51I think before we get to the psychic questions of the psychic, dark are the psychic secrets how to tap into your psychic? Because everyone is psychic. Like for someone like you're clearly tapped in or or, you know, you've got you're doing what your soul wants you to do or I don't know if I'm saying that right. But like, how give people off the top of your head like how can people get that seen? Like confidence and and direction that you so clearly have in a body? Wow, Ann O'Brien  14:29that's a big question. Mischa Zvegintzov  14:30It is. I'm sorry to drop that on. Even I'm talking to you. I'm like, Oh my gosh, you have so much amazing stuff going on. And you're inspiring me. So that's why I'm asking you. Yeah. Ann O'Brien  14:45I would say to people that don't feel like they have a sense of their purpose just to look to what have you always been interested in? And sometimes it's not only what you've loved to do, but it's even what you have your challenges been? Hmm that will point to the thing you're here to master and then share. Move I liked it's a quick answer. But that's a huge questions. Mischa Zvegintzov  15:09It's a huge question. Well, I think that that's a great, maybe you could give us an example of how you've seen somebody lean into that. So it's, it's like, I think if I heard you, what you said was, hey, you can either like, look at what you love and dive further into that. But you can also look into what's maybe cause some rough edges or causing you frustration, and lean into that and learn. And then maybe, hey, now you've got to call him by design. Right? Yeah, that's Ann O'Brien  15:42right. Yeah, we get clarity through contrast. Yeah. So this is a random thing. But sometimes in my workshops, I'll give it an exercise where write down 10 things you hate. Yes. And especially as women, we're not taught that it's okay to hate. Okay, we all have those feelings within us. So privately, write down 10 things you hate, and then go, Well, what does that clarify for me that I love or that I value or that I need? That may go beyond the issue of life purpose, but that's really helpful. Mischa Zvegintzov  16:09I love it. It's great. See that, again, write the Ann O'Brien  16:14things you hate. And then next to each one, consider what does that clarify for you that you love that you need or that you value? And then move towards those things? sermon is important. You know, everyone has psyche, that's the big thing that I talk about, and that I teach you about, we're not meant to just be like, I just did whatever is fine. You know, we are individual beings. And we have a purpose. We're like that spark of light. You know, like every flower is unique. Yeah, still a part of God. Mischa Zvegintzov  16:43Right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Love that. Okay, so we're gonna, you can find this book, Online, a woman's guide to conscious love by Anna O'Brien, at Amazon and all the fun places. Ann O'Brien  16:57You can go to Anna Lyon living.com, or everyone is psychic.com. Okay, perfect. And that'll link to Amazon. on Audible. There's a lot of guided meditations. It's a workbook two. Oh, so for people that want to just close their eyes and not have to refer to a book, I recommend the audible. Mischa Zvegintzov  17:11I'd love it. And do you find people respond well, to the audible? Definitely. Yeah. And so you have a workbook associated with a sorry, Ann O'Brien  17:19within the book. So you can see here, let me see. You know, there's practices. I don't know how much we can see on the camera. But yes, there's places you can write within the book. There's a lot of guided meditations. Yeah. And there's exercises to do, like, close your eyes and put on a song Mischa Zvegintzov  17:36and dance. Oh, it's amazing. I love Ann O'Brien  17:39meditation. Mischa Zvegintzov  17:41I love it. So good. Thank you. Okay, you referenced some you've said psychic, probably 20 or 30 times, as we've been talking here. And what was the inspiration for everyone is psychic. Ann O'Brien  17:56So this is based on the curriculums I've been teaching for over a decade. Wow, wasn't going to write this book. I had another idea of a book I was gonna write after my first book. And then my mother passed away. And I don't know if you are, you know, those watching listening have had parents pass, but it sort of is this moment of like, like, Come to Jesus, like, what's my life? Mischa Zvegintzov  18:18Yes, I've had it. I've been there. Yeah, absolutely. I Ann O'Brien  18:21was like, of course, like, this is the thing, not that it's the only thing I'll ever write about. But this is the thing. I couldn't leave this life. And I'll be here a while. But you know, I just was like, I have to leave this for the world. 18:33Yeah, this is what I know. So well. And what people have been telling me, I helped them with. Ann O'Brien  18:41I went to those, you know, after a few months of processing, you know, I went into my course curriculums, and I put it into a book. And I wrote for about a year and then I published it and you know, Mischa Zvegintzov  18:51yeah, and it's and today, as we record this, it is April 15. And it's been out a week. So this is fresh, hot off the presses. Right. Like this is exciting for you right now. And obviously has a lot of depth and weight and deep meaning for you. Which is beautiful. We Ann O'Brien  19:12hit the Amazon bestseller in six categories already number one and a couple other categories like pretty high. Mischa Zvegintzov  19:19Oh my gosh. Congratulations. Wow, so fun. We'll check out this book. And then like, give me a like, Tell me about it or what are your favorite things or what what do you like to tell people if they like get this book because Ann O'Brien  19:38yeah, so I would say you know, one of my good friends that I grew up with she's like, and you're the most grounded psychic I've ever met. Yeah, and so for people that think this is not for them or they're not sure if it's for them like this is for everyone that's why I call it everyone is psychic. Yeah, I'm hearing no nonsense boots on the ground like this is how you do it. You know, I've taught my nine year old this stuff since she was old. After her whole life basically, first she was old enough, but I believe Mischa Zvegintzov  20:05she's doing energy clearings on you. She's like, mom, so your energy. Ann O'Brien  20:13I remember one time, her dad was traveling and I was alone with her for like a week. I was like, so overwhelmed because I was working too. And I sat down to meditate. And this one, she was like three or four. She walks into the room. And she's like, talking to me as I'm trying to meditate. I'm like, so overwhelmed. She's like, Mama, I can heal you. And she picks up this crystal won. It's in the courtroom. She's waves it up. And I swear I had the deepest meditation I've had in a long time. Mischa Zvegintzov  20:45That's amazing. Yeah. So she's, I mean, talk about confidence. Yeah, that's amazing. Ann O'Brien  20:51stuff early. It's not hard. It's just, we were taught, you know, and I don't want people to struggle into their teens and 20s. Like I did, yeah, not knowing this stuff, not having any reference point or mentorship or information. Because the psychic senses are as normal as all the other senses. Yeah, there's so many ways that I say if you don't use them, they will use you. Yeah, we get overwhelmed. We pick up stuff that's not ours are crying when we're not sad. We're mad when we're not bad. We have a desire, like, I'm thinking one client I had, you talked about life purpose, like he was really he was a mechanic and he came to me and he's like, am I gonna get this promotion? And I didn't even know what he did. I just was like, you don't like your job? Do you? Like all the energy I can feel about his job? And this idea of a promotion was like, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, I was like, So what do you want to do? He's like, I want to make video games. I'm like, well, let's, let's help you do that, you know, so we can spend our whole life doing something that's not meant for us. Because we're psychic. Yeah. And we're picking up on the expectations, the desires of other people. So that's just the tip of the iceberg. Mischa Zvegintzov  22:01Oh, my gosh, I could talk to you forever. And I know that. Stacy, whenever Stacey comes by in the background, she's like, you gotta give me that. You gotta give me in back. She's gonna jump into the crowd. So I love that I love the confidence been like, Hey, your confidence, like you want competence and what you do, how you interact with the world, how you interact with your partner with your kids, just like a good confidence. Wow. I love that. I do want to release you back to the crowd and let you go talk about your book because we are at body mind soul. magazine spring release party. What would you want to say about this? Like, just to close? Before I send you that? Ann O'Brien  22:53I would say if anyone is trying to figure out how do I start tapping into their psychic abilities. The number one thing is to be playful to go like a kindergartener and go into a state of wonder. And don't discount what you're getting. Because it feels when you're starting. It feels like you're making stuff up. Yeah. And so if you just kind of run with it, and start with small things, like where am I going to find a parking space? Or who just texted me, let me let me just guess and then look, right. And the more you build your confidence with these little things, and just being playful, you'll get more confident. And if you have people in your life that you can bounce it off of or practice giving each other little readings like that's fun to just, you gotta practice and just trust and play with it. Mischa Zvegintzov  23:34I love it. So good. Anne O'Brien. Oh my gosh, get her book. Whoa, get her books. Clearly amazing. This has been such a pleasant surprise. You were kind of added to the queue and I'm so happy to the interview queue. And again, tell everybody where to find you. Ann O'Brien  23:50Yes, go to everyone is psychic.com or an O'Brien living.com. You can find me on social media at an O'Brien. Thank you so much. Thank you

I'm here with Gabby and Gabby. Tell us your last name. aerotow. Gabby Thomas, your company?Gaby Aratow Yeah, my company's called Kiss keeper introduction services.Mischa Zvegintzov Fantastic. And we are here at the Mind Body Soul spring release party. Gabby's got an article here on page 57. We're going to talk all about matchmaking. We're gonna have a ton of fun. But at the end of the interview, Gabby here is going to give you her top three secrets for dating. And Gabby knows her stuff she's internationally known for, for dating and matchmaking and putting people together, right, yeah. Fantastic. So we're gonna have a ton of fun and stay to the end. So you can hear the top three secrets. So yes, you have an article. Gabby here has an article in Mind Body Soul magazine, the spring edition for matchmaking, a unique process of personal discovery. We'll just pull that up close. And I am just dying to know how does one get in the matchmaking business?Gaby Aratow Well, for me, it really was kind of random. I read about a matchmaking company. And I thought, Oh, this is an incredible service. I, I really, really want this service. So I actually pulled out my credit card. And I was about to sign up for this matchmaking service. And then I thought I hadn't worked for a couple of years, I'd been out of the workforce, caretaking somebody sick in my family. And I thought to myself, What am I doing buying this service, I need a job, not a matchmaker right now. So I put my credit card away. And I wrote the company a letter. And I said, I just read about your company. I think this service that you offer is an incredible service. And I think I should come work for you. And they called me the next day. They hired me that week, and I became the top matchmaker at that company for the next four years. And then I left that company and opened up my own matchmaking firm.Mischa Zvegintzov Wow. And when was that? What what what, how long ago? Seven years ago, seven years ago? Yeah, you open your current?Gaby Aratow No, that was two years ago, okay, that I branched off and opened my own matchmaking company. So I work here in Aspen, but I also work nationally. I even can work internationally. But I'd say the majority of my clients are places like New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco. And then I also take people here in Aspen, I have some clients in Telluride. So I do some ski towns, but largely Denver. I work a lot in Denver, but I work a national matchmaking business from right here from from the willekes area of the Roaring Fork Valley.Mischa Zvegintzov That's amazing. And do you have a specific niche within this territory? Like who do you? Who's your favorite to matchmake?Gaby Aratow So, um, I would say the majority of my clients are men, not always, but most of them, they tend to be in their 40s 50s and 60s, but I have a client right now who's 73. And sometimes I've also taken clients who are in their late 20s. Typically, someone in their early 20s isn't looking for a matchmaker. Yes. And, and generally sometimes that, you know, they they have been married before and they're divorced with kids, sometimes they're looking for their first spouse to get married, maybe have children, so it can really run the gamut. And then occasionally, I also take women. And the other thing that happens with me is if I can't take somebody onto my own client list for any particular reason, another thing I do is I match them with the right matchmaker for them. So basically, just about anyone who wants matchmaking services, could give me a call and we could probably get you to the right place.Mischa Zvegintzov Fantastic. And then are you finding typically that you're your 40 5060 year old male? Is he super busy executive? So he's, he's like, hey, I want to offload this to you or what's, how does that what's going on there?Gaby Aratow I definitely have some clients who are used to outsourcing all kinds of things in life, you know, who are very ultra successful. I mean, I would say it runs the gamut, my clients from I had last year I had a parole officer. So you know, he was he was a parole officer who made some extra money on the side through Airbnbs. Yeah, I also have clients who are managers of hedge funds, really big movie producers, lawyers, doctors, so it can really run the gamut in terms of the type of person who comes to me, but I always tell people matchmaking is a luxury service. People who are coming to me generally have some expendable income I don't think matchmaking is the right thing to do. If you're, you know, really struggling to say make rent. Yeah, it tends to be for people with a little bit more, a little bit more comfort in their financial situation.Mischa Zvegintzov Okay, great. That's, that's, that's a good tip, I think. Yeah. When when you started, when you pulled out when you put your credit card back in your pocket, yeah. And you're like, I want to work for you. And they say, okay, and it sounds like you've had success right away. I did. What were like one, what is it? Where you're like, Oh, my God, I found? This is what I was meant to do. Like, how does? You know? Does that question make sense?Gaby Aratow Yeah. You know, when I look back upon my work history, up until this, I almost always had been in some kind of agenting. So I had worked at the William Morris Agency in Los Angeles, working with movie stars, and then went through their merger to W me. I had worked at other agencies before then smaller agencies. It's sort of the theme of nearly everything that I've done is kind of agenting. But at the same time, I'm such a people person. And I'm always interested in people stating lives. So I, even when I was sitting around at William Morris, people would come in and I know we were supposed to be talking about what movies they were in or what movies they wanted to do. But I always wanted to say, but who are you dating? You know, like what's going on in your dating life? So somehow, I've always been, like, very interested in people's romantic lives. And I always have been, I think most matchmakers were just general natural connectors. And even when I was in college, I would say, Oh, you don't my roommate. You know, Alicia, she really should meet that guy, Jim over there. I was always matchmaking. I was always trying to put people together. So you know, now I just realized at a certain point in life, when I saw that, that advertisement, I was like, whoa, this isn't a career. And I didn't know what would happen if I started it. But here I am. And it's all I do. And I have a national and even international reputation. And I speak at matchmaking conferences, and I have an incredible client list with incredible people. And I've gotten a lot of people married.Mischa Zvegintzov That is amazing. Yeah. When you started at your first company, when you started for them, when did you know that I'm onto something, and this is my, this is my niche,Gaby Aratow really quickly, I just, I just maybe if I hadn't gone to do matchmaking, I could have almost gone into casting or something in Hollywood, but I'm just able to, I'm able to sort of get people's vibes very quickly and have an understanding of who they might like to meet. And on top of that, it's not unlike being a real estate and some real estate agent in some ways somebody comes to you and they say, what's important to me is that I live walking distance to a cafe. And what's important to me is I have a backyard. And what's important to me is that I have at least three bedrooms. And I've just very good. I've always been very good at just hearing what's important to people, and being able to, you know, incorporate their wants, needs and desires. And sometimes people will come to me, and I'll have to do a little correction with them. Because what they're asking for, I know just really isn't the right direction for them in the dating world. So there's a little bit of an interplay with me and my clients around making sure that we're on the same page. And if somebody and I aren't on the same page, then they're just probably not the right client for me.Mischa Zvegintzov Yeah. And that's okay. Yeah, that is okay. Yeah. And it sounds like as you said, at the beginning, here, you if they're open, you have a place to send them, you're like, hey, try this service, or meet my other matchmaking friend,Gaby Aratow right? or what have you. Yes.Mischa Zvegintzov What's your favorite story that just comes Top of Mind your favorite story?Gaby Aratow You know, I had this client sign up with me. He was six foot six. He lived in Chicago. He was in his mid 30s. And, and I, you know, I went out looking for him. For women. He was from Czechoslovakia, and background, and I went out looking for him for women. And I found this gorgeous girl from St. Petersburg, who was six foot three. And I when I got her phone number, I called her and I said, you know, I think you might like this guy that I've got as my new client, because you actually even at six foot three could wear a little heel if you wanted to. And he'd still be taller than you. She said, Yeah. She said, Yeah, I'd like to meet him. And I've actually put them she was in Newark, New Jersey. I had originally been looking in Chicago, but I hadn't seen anyone that I really thought was right for him. I found this girl in New York. I called him and said, Would you be open to meeting somebody who maybe didn't live in Chicago? And he said, You know, I'm open. I don't have any ties here. or that are finding me to this city. It's a great city. But it doesn't really matter to me. And maybe someone could move here. So I put them on a video call. He flew to Newark the next weekend, he flew her to him the following weekend. And nine months later, they married in a cathedral in Portugal, in the most absolutely gorgeous wedding. And I'm friends with them on Instagram. And I see all of their beautiful pictures, their walks, that they take a dog that they have. And I tell everybody that if they have a baby, and I think ultimately they will, yeah, she was in her early 30s. I think that that child will very likely be a basketball player. And I really think I should get some season tickets for that one.Mischa Zvegintzov Absolutely. Absolutely. And then I'm going to ask you a one or two more questions. But before we do that, where can everybody find you? What's the best place? Yeah,Gaby Aratow so I have a website. It's keeper intros, like, you're my keeper. I call my company kiss keeper introduction services. So keeper intros.com. And the nice thing too about me is that there's a way that people work with me, which is 100%, free as well, which is if you go to my website, you can enter my database. And it's 100% free, you don't have to give me anything. And then you're in my network so that when I have a client come to me, the first place I look is within my own database. And so sometimes someone will go into my database. And then four months later, six months later, I'll call them and say, you know, someone just signed with me, and I've been looking at your profile, and they'll get set up with my client. And the whole thing is cost them absolutely nothing. The only thing about going in that way is there's no guarantee that you'll get a date with through me. If you want a date through me, you have to get onto my client list.Mischa Zvegintzov Okay, so there's pre entry, and then it's almost like an upgrade orGaby Aratow Yeah, and then there's actually being my client who I'm working on behalf of finding that client dates. But I always need a database. And you never know, you really never know. Yeah, you know, it's always surprising to me who enters my database that maybe I look at when they first enter and I think I don't know if I'll ever be able to send that person out. But lo and behold, eight months later, they're the person that I'm calling. So for people who aren't ready to have a matchmaker working on their behalf. It's, you know, you behoove yourself just to go on into my database, why not? ButMischa Zvegintzov you have to be single, you have to be single, you canGaby Aratow be separated, okay, in the midst of a divorce. That's okay. Okay. But you have to be living separately. Okay. And you have to be single to work with me. Okay. period, period. That's right. And story.Mischa Zvegintzov Okay. Very good. You have to be single at at least separatedGaby Aratow and at least separated on your own. And you have to be earnest and sincere in wanting to meet somebody and have love in your life. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. Yeah.Mischa Zvegintzov And then, again, we're at the spring, Mind Body Soul magazine release party here at the wonderful Tell me again, where we are Capitol Creek brewery, little creek brewery, and you have written an article on us page 57. If anybody wants to go get it, there's the magazine. But quick, if you could tell me, for anybody who's out there dating and maybe they're not ready for a matchmaker service? Or maybe they're doing both? What are your top three secrets? For somebody? Who's who let's say they're new to dating? They're like, I just left my relationship. And I want to get back in the fray or yeah, what are your top three secrets?Gaby Aratow I think one of the most important things is people put a lot of pressure on themselves on a date makes them very nervous. And there's all this focus around well, is this going to be the person? And what are they going to think of me and I, this is very much what my article speaks to, I think it's incredibly important to take your focus off of that. And if you just approach the date, as I'm a human being, connection is natural for human beings, and I'm going to go out, I'm gonna meet another face of humanity. And I'm going to find the place that we connect. That's all it has to be really, that's all it has to be. And what's interesting is once you start stop taking all that, you know, that focus on is this a person and all the pressure that comes with it and you just keep your focus on having a nice time and connecting. Somehow, a lot of that natural stuff will just fall into organic places for you. So I'd say that's number one. Number two, it is important to put your best foot forward when you date. Don't show up you know, sweaty after your workout, without having you know gone home and not to say you have to wear a tuxedo or something like that. But you know, athleisure wear, it's nice. Some of what you wear really depends on where you're meeting if you're going to meet Got a place like a brewery, maybe some nice jeans, and maybe a Patagonia and a nice sweater like the one that you're wearing. But people notice when somebody shows up on the date and there's been no effort put in. So make sure that you know you're groomed nicely, and that you're dressed nicely, even if it's very casual, because otherwise it just sends a bad signal to the other person.Mischa Zvegintzov I love that what a great, great tip. Best Foot Forward. Yeah. And it doesn't need to be over the top. But make sure you put some effort into it to show that you're interested in you care.Gaby Aratow Yeah, I think that that's good. It really does display also that you care about yourself, and everybody wants to be with somebody who takes care of themselves and cares about themselves. Let's see another daily tip that I would have time to think certainly show up on time. Being late is a big no, no, it's even okay to be a minute or two or late. Nobody will penalize you for that. But don't show up too late. If you're going to be late for any reason. When you work through a matchmaker, I don't exchange contacts. So you have to let me know and I'll let them know. But if for any reason you're going to be late on a date, let them know before the date start. In other words, if you're supposed to meet at 6pm, it's better to at 530. Say I'm really sorry, I'm running 15 minutes late. Don't do it after the start date. Make sure that if you're running late, you let them know in advance of the timeMischa Zvegintzov and love it fantastic. I think that that is a great, a great place to end. And I would Is there anything else? Is there anything I was looking I was trying to find your article again? What page did I say?Gaby Aratow I think it's 56 or 57. My article is called a unique process of self discovery. And I really do think that dating you can learn a tremendous amount about yourself through dating. Sometimes people get very discouraged in dating. But if you if you change your perceptions and you go out into the world to intermingle with people as a curious as a as a curious person about who you are and what you learn about yourself through your experiences in life, then you're gonna actually really enjoy your dating process.Mischa Zvegintzov I love that. Yeah. Go with an open mind. growth opportunity. Definitely man talk probably. What can I learn and what can I bring? And yeah, and just enjoy the experience. I love that. Yeah. Thank you so much. Any anything else you want to add before we get back to your day?Gaby Aratow No, I love doing this work. So if anyone thinks that they're interested in a matchmaker, definitely please come talk to me. You know, and I put my heart and my soul into spreading love in the world. This really is my mission to bring love to the world and bring connection to the world.Mischa Zvegintzov Fantastic. And tell everybody again where they can find youGaby Aratow cheaper. intros.com or Gaby at keeper intros.com That's G A B y at keeper intros.com.Mischa Zvegintzov Gabby beautiful. Thank you so much Ton of fun, and hopefully we'll see you again I have okay

My last name is sagen soft.Candice ClaireOkay, that's even harder them it's even harder than yours.Mischa ZvegintzovSo Oscar and Horn, ox and boxing horn. We're kindred spirits with our last names. But Kansas Claire anyway. And we are at the 2020 spring, Mind Body Soul magazine released party. And what's this valley called?Candice ClaireThe Roaring Fork Valley,Mischa Zvegintzovthe Roaring Fork Valley which I love and the Roaring Fork River is like, right that way and Aspen is what that way. It's like super mountains that way. That way we got Carbondale Carbondale that way right over there. And what's another little tab and no? Salt Springs? Yes. And then we are at the I keep forgetting the name of Willis.Candice ClaireOh, then name of the place? Yeah, it's a brewery and I don't know because I don't come here. Often sorry,Mischa Zvegintzovin the Willetts subdivision. No, it's okay. I appreciate it. And so you are in the magazine, you have an article in the magazine. And it's page 28 and 29. So anybody go get this Mind Body Soul magazine, go to page 2829. And you can find Candice Claire, and we've got 10 weeks to a better version of you. Yeah. Who doesn't want that? So how? Tell me your so you said you have three pillars are ru VEDA. Good job. Meditation was the third one and there was a second aromatherapy, aromatherapy. So how does one get get to be I don't know if the experts the right word or super knowledgeable, like what's your path to? Yeah,Candice Clairelet me just frame this.Mischa ZvegintzovOkay. Please do? Yes. Yes. So our Veda isCandice Clairethe oldest healing system on the planet. Dating 5000 years, but the oral tradition even longer. And so it's it's literally a wisdom or a science of life that the sages and Rishis and, you know, they, they studied the science of life, from the greater Cosmos down to the individual. Yeah. Okay. So the science applies to anyone it doesn't it's not even though it was kind of born in India. It's not it's not based on any religion, any it's notMischa Zvegintzovlike India specific or, like,Candice Claireit doesn't matter, specifically in Copenhagen, or, you know, Dallas, Texas or, you know, Pakistan like Yeah,Mischa Zvegintzovwe allCandice Claireare basically embodying the wisdom of our VEDA. So the 10 habits to make it easy not everybody wants to learn deeply the philosophy although I find that when people start practicing Yeah, they asked me for more so I'm going to be teaching like a whole art of it, of course, but But what I loved in my own journey, yeah. And studies is that I originally studied at the Chopra center, and started with meditations. Yes. And Encinitas, actually Carlsbad. Carlsbad. Yes. And, and I, you know, it's like you, you seek out what you need to learn. And I was very anxious at the time I wasn't sleeping well. And I wanted to meditate. But like most people, I thought I couldn't because I couldn't get the Zen Mind. And that that course really shifted for me. Like I realized, like, oh, it's not about like having a Zen Mind. It's about just being with the mind you app. And, and it sort of gave me a tool. I would just, if I was up at two in the morning, I'd sit up and do my meditation and often fall back to sleep. So that kind of hooked me and I was introduced to our Vedic lifestyle at the Chopra center. So I I went back and I got certified to teach the meditation right after that I got certified to teach the ARIA Vedic because I was once you get hooked, it's like yourMischa ZvegintzovRenu it. Yeah. And you're feeling the effects are the positive effects.Candice ClaireI would say that there's a there's a difference in intellectual knowledge and knowingness. Yeah. And I knew, in that I wanted to heal with natural modalities. You know, I didn't, I was not the kind of person that just wanted a pill to, because that kind of takes you into a rabbit hole, I think. And you're not getting to know yourself, and you're suppressing what's there. Yeah. So that's why this wisdom of life really appealed to me. Yeah. And so it's so many different layers. It's like, very simple that a child can understand the basic principles. But then you can study it the rest of your life, and there's still more. So there's this understanding that as humans, we're the microcosm of the macrocosm. So like right now, you know, we're changing seasons. Yeah. And that's always like a little bit of an unstable time. So I generally offer a cleanse in the spring and a cleanse in the fall because our your beta says, during those unstable transitions, you need to do a cleanse, and let go of the previous season. So you don't go into the next season. Carrying undigested like toxicity. Yeah. And you get sick more, or you get allergies, or Yeah. Yeah, it's like it just, it makes sense for anyone. And another thing that I love. So in the the 10 week course, that I teach is really taking the 10 most important hygiene habits really of Arvada to teach, you know, one a week. And the reason you're that way, it's more like an introduction, but it's more like how can this benefit me right now? Yeah. And it's like, when you can start realizing that no matter we can do anything we want, like, I can stay here and till two in the morning. Yes, I did drink a bunch of alcohol. But that is not being integrity a with my physical body, which is temporary that I get to cruise around in this world. Right? Like, my soul is here. But how am I gonna treat this? The buying? That gets to like, take it places?Mischa ZvegintzovYeah. Love it. Yeah, but a great what a great visualization. Yeah.Candice ClaireAnd that's really what woke me up is because, you know, I had, like most people, none of us get out without having something to learn. So I have a lot of emotional trauma. I had kind of a physical breakdown, and it was all the seeds had already been planted. So this really got me through. Like, I healed myself naturally. And so the 10 habits are just a great way for people who don't need to know anything about audio. Yeah, because it's like, okay, if you understand that, no matter what you do, like inside your head, there is something that is better than any sweats watch, ever. And so it's keeping time with like the sunrise and the sunset, and the seasonal changes. And so as I was saying, Before, you can do anything, but when you really understand that you're going against your body's rhythm that isn't trained with nature, like, you know, we're diurnal, we're supposed to be sleeping at night, and awake during the day. Yes. And so are your beta has practices that actually help us entrain not only with the timing of the day, but just practices that will allow your body to, to heal to strengthen Yeah, to become more vibrant to and then when you find out, you start doing these things, yeah, you end up liking it, you know, you end up like, wow, like, I actually am sleeping better most of the time. And you know, I actually liked the way I feel when I'm not eating a bunch of like toxic food. Or if I'm eating really late at night when my body should be sleeping and doing a deeper digestion. Yeah, you know, so it's all our Vedic considers these, I do call them hygiene habits because it's, it's literally how do we live in our bodies? You know, you'd think we'd know. ButMischa Zvegintzovwe're stubborn, this Western?Candice ClaireWell, it's just not it's not taught. It's not supported culturally. I would say that's probably the biggest obstacle with my clients and you know, people in the courses because they get all jazzed to like, do this. So like literally we're supposed to eat you Be done eating before the sun sets? Yes. And they're like, Well, my husband and my kids or my significant other, they don't want to eat too late, and they want to watch a movie late at night. And here I am, like, I'm a big bore, but it's really not boring. You know, because when you start feeling better, it's empowering. It's empowering. And you know, so we have these different layers. We often want to start with our physical Yeah, right. Yeah. But there's your five layers. Before weMischa Zvegintzovgo into the five layers. Again, we're talking about what we're referencing a bunch, your 10 week course where they can get a glimpse of it. And the Mind Body Soul magazine, right? Yeah, it's awesome. And this is the spring issue. We're at the release party. But if they are captivated so far, and they're like, I need to know where to find you. Like, where are they gonna find you? Where are someone gonna find you?Candice ClaireOkay, couple of places. You can email me at Candace at swan. sage.com. Swan sage is my business name. And that is ca n di C. E. At Swan, Sage Swan as a ge.com. My website is swan. sage.com. And or text me? Yeah. 970-948-7525.Mischa ZvegintzovDo you do you have a favorite client profile? Or is there like, Who do you find yourself working with most? Or who do you prefer to work with?Candice ClaireI mean, it tends to be more women than men, but not totally, but definitely more women? I would say generally, when I mean, I have clients ranging from like age 14 to almost 80. Yeah, but I'd say mostly, it's like when women start waking up to like, I'm not feeling so great. You know, it's like when things start feeling like they're going downhill. So like, you know, late 30s 40s. Yeah. Cool. Yeah.Mischa ZvegintzovI love that. And then the 10 weeks, to a better version of you, which is in the magazine, and you talk about what we're talking about now. And so it's basically the 10 ru Vedic. I'm butchering that name, guys habits, but it's almost it's like soft entry into that, or you don't have to have any interest in it. But it's like you're taking this millennia old wisdom, body knowledge. And you're saying, Hey, here's 10 weeks to Well, I mean, a better version of you.Candice ClaireLike, are you sleeping? Okay. Yeah. You know, what's your weight? Like? You wake up feeling with like, you have brain fog. I mean, the common things that people are suffering with should not be normalized. That's all I'll say about that. And normalizing that. We're supposed to feel good.Mischa ZvegintzovI'd love that. Yeah. And I love no pills, like,Candice Claireyeah. And let's embrace that. We are supposed to live blissfully in our bodies. SoMischa Zvegintzovgood. Okay. So we were going to touch on the five layers, and then I'm gonna connect you back to the crowd.Candice ClaireHe's gonna toss me back out. Yes, but I won't leave you hanging with the five layers. Okay, so you have a physical layer. Most of us identify with Yes. Okay. You have an energy around you. That's called the prana that your lifeforce energy which extends beyond the body, okay. And that can be healthy or unhealthy to you have a mind which houses all of your mental activity and your emotions. Yeah, that's usually the most constricted part of us. And that's, that's really like, there's tools like you work with meditation and you don't have to be an expert. To work with that energy. Yeah. And then you have what's called a knowingness. It's actually the thing Jana is these are called Kosha is a big Jana Maya Kosha, which is like your third eye that you've heard about yoga classes. Yes. What it's really talking about is doesn't have to have logic. Everyone could be saying goes that way. But your knowingness says go that way. And that's the right way to go. So then it's like opening up and clearing so that you have a good connection with that layer. And then when you get all those other layers, like, you know, when you're doing these habits, and you really get called the other layers in a better way, then you access the fifth which is the bliss body, it's the Anandamaya Kosha.Mischa ZvegintzovLove this amazing. Do you have a favorite, like client story that comes to mind where you're like before and after, or they just? Yeah, totally,Candice Clairelike Just as our beta and I talked about that in the 10 habits, we do seasonal cleanses. So one of my favorite stories recently is usually I get girls on the cleanse, but I had this man who very reluctantly joined last fall. He's like, I've never done a cleanse before. I don't want you to tell me to do like, some of the things you're saying, like, you know, I chill. I never make everyone do the same thing. We're all individual. But we're going to be in this bubble together. So he was like, Okay, after the cleanse, he stopped drinking, he stopped smoking weed. He cleaned up his apartment, he started eating well. He was a changed man. And that that was a pretty dramatic shift and one cleanse. So much so that his good friend, this woman was like, What did you do? And he told her, and then she was reluctant. So he was trying to get her to do my first free. I just ended my spring cleanse. She was like, dragging her feet, even though she needed to do it. She finally called me the day before. And she was like, I don't really feel like doing a cleanse. I'm like, Well, what's like, what's your pain point? She was like, Well, I gained like, 30 pounds over the past couple of years. Yeah, I'm like, Well, why not? And she joined. And she like, killed it. And so I was like, I love those stories. And the whole reason is because they did it.Mischa ZvegintzovI love it. So good. They took the leap, took the risk.Candice ClaireYeah, I took the risk, and I don't ever make because we're all we have similarities, but we're all a little different. So it's like, I'm not going to tell one person to do the same plans as everyone else. Yeah. Hi. So I really kind of guide people to likeMischa Zvegintzovwhat's doable? I love it. A little customization. Yeah, aspect to it right? Because you mightCandice Clairehave more fire and then the water. air and ether or the five elements. Fire Water, air space. LoveMischa Zvegintzovit. Oh my gosh, I could literally talk about this for hours. Super fun. Again, you can find Oh my gosh. Candice Claire. In the Mind, Body Soul spring 2020 que su and then tell everybody your website again.Candice ClaireSwan. sage.com. That's w a n sh e.com.Mischa ZvegintzovBam, and they can track you down there. Or they can hit rewind and get your email. There's so so much fun. Thank you. Good. Oh, well, no, keep going. Yeah, I actually did and I'm gonna hold you hostage for one more second. Okay. I want to make sure that they and I love asking this question. Is there anything you want to tell the viewers that you'd be you'd feel remiss if you didn't if you didn't tell themCandice Clairethat you are more than just your mind and your body and stop outsourcing your health. Start in sourcing.Mischa ZvegintzovThank you beautiful place

And I literally had to do this paradigm shift in my mind where it was like, Oh my gosh, like all of a sudden, what has the pandemic brought us rather than what has the pandemic done to us, and a place of healing a place of growth, a place of simplicity, a place of understanding what's important in our lives.[26] It's like, what the hell where did the sunspots come from? Oh, you were you were a goddess on the beach when you were 18 years old. Let me tell you where those spots came from right? Transition so we try In addition, aesthetically, we transition from a standpoint of, of different places where we're saying like, this is the time where we can like react to all of the things throughout our life that we as much as we put preach proactively, yeah. That's not reality. Reality is transition. Reality is reaction. So we are so fortunate to be in a place where so many women can react emotionally, spiritually, physically, sexually, all of the things that is important to women and middle aged, that it's like, this isn't the end of the road girls, like it's a transition point. Let's pivot. Let's move on.[9] I take full joy in knowing that I'm a grandmother. But I also take full joy and people going "WHAT?!?!"[10] So my goal is for women to get to a point that no matter where they're at, where they can transition, that the transition is smooth, transition is in the upward direction. And wellness starts from the inside out. And this one I'm all about. So promoting it all the way through.[11] So I started my first book when my kids were in middle school, actually. And it was I was a young mom, trying to, to battle the and when I say battle, I say that super loosely, because truly our battles are all what we make them. So I was a young mom starting a business, I had a husband at home, I had two little children. There's every part of that that is tough. It's working up that corporate ladder, you know, the backwards in high heels... Ginger Rogers.  Fred Astaire[13] do you want to be the woman that has it all? And I realized you can be but what is your all? What is the reality of your all? So what is my all and what is your all are two completely different things. And so helping women to understand that women can do it all you have to decide what is all right.[15] So when women start to pay attention to their health issues, when they pay attention to their weight, to their aesthetics, to their spirituality, their emotions, it's a it's a package deal. You don't get to pick and choose. You're either all in or you're all not.[20] So our kids are grown. But now our parents are aging? Where do we find? Where do we find that part? Yeah, so everything from a lot of tips and tricks for women, that the simplistic side of things, you know, I'm that girl that I'll fast all morning long. And I'll diet and I'll exercise and I'll do all the thing and then I'm hitting Sonic in the afternoon.[21] but what I will say is my thing I traveled corporately for so many years in my previous career, I would grab things that would get me through a flight. And and that's where the size of my books came from. They're just like a woman can sit down with a glass of wine, pick this up and go, I want to talk about sex. I want to talk about finances, I want to talk about home decor, I want to talk about this. And I have to be done by the time I get there. And so that's where my books are at.[22] What are your top three things that you're doing every day?[23] So I would say I get up every morning and I make my bed.[24] And the secondary thing I would say is that we spend at least an hour every morning, myself and Ron my partner, to kind of strategize about our day like not only we watch the sunset, but we also say what do I have? What do you have going on today? And is there something I can help you with?[25] And third.  I would say is at the end of the day, where we come back to our home and we look at the sun setting a night and we say How was your day? tell me you know. share with me your peaks and valleys that type of thing. and to be able to close out our day and around it and at the end of the night. It's It's so wonderful to me to be able to lay down and be so thankful and so grateful for the opportunities

In this weeks show I have the pleasure of sitting down with Rosie Cutter, Astrologer to the stars, to lean all about Human Design. A complex and accurate ancient wisdom that can be used to help navigate life. I'll be honest, until I met Rosie, I really knew nothing about Human Design, but I know people all around the world have embraced it as a highly effective tool to gain insight into their personal lives to be more productive, happy and in alignment. Human Design is a synthesis of modern genetics and ancient wisdom. Think of it like mix Myers-Briggs, astrology, I Ching, Kabbalah, and quantum physics using your birth chart. It can be used to help you make better decisions by understanding your unique and true nature. It can be used to help bring our your true gifts and live a more abundant and happy life by choosing the path that is really for you. There is so much more to it, and in today's episode we barely scratch the surface, but hopefully it give you an idea and you can dive deeper or get a reading for yourself if it sounds interesting. Basically, Human Design is another important piece of the puzzle to life. I hope you enjoy. Rosie resides in Aspen Colorado and is currently available for readings via Zoom. Makes a great gift too! In this episode Larae shares: That her family goes back four generations living in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.   How she came from a mixed family and that her maternal Grandfather fought for the social justice issues of his day.   Her first business was selling oxygen canisters in Aspen Colorado to combat altitude sickness.   Though she wanted to source her product locally, the best that she could find at the time was a manufacturer in New Jersey.  She still was able to keep the product from being manufactured in China which she opposed due to personal reasons.   Her next business was a Limousine service that grew out of her knowledge of the service business in Aspen.  Hher limousine drivers were also able to deliver the oxygen concentrators as needed.   This also introduced her to the demand for a private jet valet service at the Aspen Airport (ASE).  Her company was the only one allowed to take the luggage to the waiting jets on the tarmac.  As she was the first point of contact for arriving and departing guests she was able to increase her company's cash flow by adding on ala carte services.   Since her daughters have gone off to college, she has become involved with modeling and is currently a model for the Wilhelmina agency.  She credits modeling with giving her the opportunity for more introspective self reflection and the confidence to be on camera.   Modeling was not a career path that she ever saw coming and is excited to see where it takes her.   She believes that the greatest book today is still her Bible and she encourages people to dive in to what sets their soul on fire.   She has come to realize that not everyone has the same life experiences and that as we get older we tend to get stuck in that mindset.  She tries to remind herself every single day to think differently or take a different action that she wouldn't ordinarily take, or, just let her mind go with a different thought process that she might not even have.

This episode is the story of a ditch walker. Being a ditch walker is a job almost nobody outside the Western United States and very few in the Western United States have ever heard about, but to me it is a truly profound job filled with both spiritual and environmental significance.Michael Kiernan is the ditch walker I know and he works for the Salvation Ditch Company. Every day except Sunday early in the morning for the last thirty years Michael has walked over ten miles along the Salvation Ditch in Aspen Colorado which diverts a precise amount of water from the Roaring Fork River and Woody Creek to help water the fields of ranches and farms and billionaire estates along its eighteen mile run. Michael, and his new assistant Tucker who will eventually be the next ditch walker of Salvation Ditch, make sure that nobody is stealing water and that no blockages have built up because of pesky beavers. Michael and Tucker cannot listen to music because they must listen to the “music of the water” of Salvation Ditch in order to know that the water is flowing properly at 57 cubic feet per second. The Salvation Ditch Company was founded a hundred and two years ago by twelve ranchers and farmers in the Roaring Fork Valley who needed water for their cattle and crops. Michael spoke to me about his wonder and joy even after all these years. He loves being a ditch walker because it takes him out into nature at a time of the day when he encounters all manner of wild beauty and wildlife. This episode uses ditch walkers as symbols of all the people who keep our civic life working properly. The episode then becomes a reflection on the need for more ditch walkers for our world. We need them in the form of umpires to play any game. We need them in the form of soldiers and police and EMS workers and fire fighters to keep us safe. We need them in the form of clergy to teach the ethical boundaries taught by faith. We need them in the form of politicians who will transcend personal privilege to sustain our government. Ditch walkers help to set the limits of our life. They prevent us from succumbing to greed and our desire to win at all costs. This episode is also a reflection on the terrible loss of trust and civic unity that is a consequence of not having good ditch walkers helping us to live together. It is my hope that the God Squad Podcast can hopefully become a kindly, non-judgmental, electronic ditch walker for our culture. The episode also uses a verse from Deuteronomy to remind us that common laborers were specifically included in the list of those who were present at the revelation at Mount Sinai of the laws of God. This story also teaches us a very important lesson--distrust beavers!
