It's a special edition of our "recap" pod off a light weekend with no major main events world wide. So, both insider Dan Rafael and host T.J. Rives bring you extended, interesting interviews on recent action and upcoming possible matchups on the "Fight Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast."First, hear Dan with Eric Gomez, President of Golden Boy Promotions, who joins him off the "Latino Night" successful card 9 days ago in Saudi Arabia. Eric talks about Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez and the rest of the fighters, like William Zepeda at lightweight, that Oscar De La Hoya has in his stable that were on that show. And, what's next for some of them.Dan also goes over the possibility of another Golden Boy star, Vergil Ortiz, and him possibly meeting Jaron Ennis coming up for early next year as part of another Saudi card. Then, T.J. brings on David Payne, the "Boxing Writer" from England, who runs his own site www.boxingwriter.co.uk and they discuss the recent Jake Paul-Mike Tyson card briefly. Most importantly is the back and forth on the Amanda Serrano-Katie Taylor women's undisputed 140 lb. title battle and whether the decision was that controversial? Welcome back Nightbirds! On this episode I was joined by Lindsay Starke and David Payne for a roundtable discussion about runes. We talked working with the runes through dreaming, journeying, runic magic, and more. We talked about the differences between divination with runes and other forms of divination. We gave some rune book recommendations, and talked about our own relationships to these powerful symbols in our own work. Finally, we each pulled a rune and discussed each one separately, as well as doing a reading with those three runes. As a writer you have the creative freedom to explore the avenues of your imagination which bring you the most joy. You can choose the niche that matches your preferences, from technical writing to creative writing. Job growth: According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the employment of writers and authors may grow 4% from 2021 to 2031, which is similar to the average growth for all occupations. With the support of his partner and children, writer David Payne has been creating stories daily since late 2021. He participates ferociously in Stories on Fire and National Novel Writing Month. His first published story, "Wraith and Specter" appeared in Future's Lens (Jan 2023). "Escape and Transform" appeared in Reality's Lens (May 2023). David writes the story that inspires him in the moment, though he tends to settle into speculative fiction. On stream, he writes each day both as a form of accountability and to inspire others to the craft. His focus is entirely on getting the words on the page and letting the editing table sort out the details later. He's played many different table-top RPGs over the years and has interests in game theory from Poker to Magic the Gathering. To relax, he'll fire up a game of Dwarf Fortress. He likes to joke that if a game was created more recently than a decade ago, he isn't really interested, but the truth is he likes retro-style and turn-based games. Professionally, David is a technical writer and has been a part of the field for over twenty years. He's also presented at Write-the-Docs and the Society of Technical Communication's Summit. When federal prosecutor Jonathan Luna was found face-down in a creek with multiple stab wounds, homicide seemed like the obvious answer. Over time, though, public officials started to pose a different theory: that he took his own life. But for those who knew Jonathan, that wasn't an option – and the more they learned about the circumstances surrounding his death, the more they started to wonder if it was being covered up by those in charge. If you know who we can contact, or which government agency in Maryland would be willing to take an unbiased look at Jonathan's death, we want to hear from you! In this episode, I'm sharing how this experience went from dream to reality and what it inspired in me from there. Shout out to Tricia Brouk, David Payne, Paula Rizzo, and the amazing speakers that I had the extreme joy of learning from that day to Phillippa Thiuri, Hélène Biandudi Hofer, Dr. Ashley Campbell, Lori Bajorek, Phil Broikos, George DeMott and Naima Judge.
Trainer David Payne joins us to discuss the chances of star mare Montefilia, who resumes in Saturday's Chelmsford Stakes at Randwick.

Host, Delia D'Ambra, and Executive Producer, Ashley Flowers, discuss listener questions that came in after Season 4 released. Delia gets her hands on evidence photos of John Welles's actual .22 Ruger Revolver and other critical pieces of evidence that have never been seen before. Associate producer David Payne and other voices from the season drop in to go over everything we know so far in this case and talk about theories that should be considered.
Delia takes a step back to consider all of the suspects known in the case and evaluate law enforcement's handling of the investigation after 2006. She and associate producer David Payne venture back out to SE Hansel Avenue to continue working the case only to find themselves face-to-face with Desoto County deputies and subjects of a 911 call.
Somebody Somewhere writer and producer David Payne joins CounterClock's Delia DÁmbra as she investigates the unsolved death of a 17-year-old boy named John Robert Welles. David and Delia sit down to discuss what listeners can expect in the upcoming Season 4 of CounterClock. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
