Over the weekend Bud's Bar in Sedalia threw a party for one of Jamie's favorite people on the planet, Billy from Bud's Bar! He just turned 90. Jamie brought a date with her to the event and ended up hooking him up with someone else. Justin Bieber posted some bizzare selfie's on his social media and said he is tired of "transactional relationships".
Over the weekend Bud's Bar in Sedalia threw a party for one of Jamie's favorite people on the planet, Billy from Bud's Bar! He just turned 90. Jamie brought a date with her to the event and ended up hooking him up with someone else. Justin Bieber posted some bizarre selfie's on his social media and said he is tired of "transactional relationships". Police spotted a car driving south on I-25 in Mead which is north of Denver. They were unable to get to the car before it crashed into oncoming traffic down at 20th and I-25. BJ's kid is driving a really old Civic. He wanted to help him upgrade his ride. BJ's wife is getting rid of her Forerunner before getting a new car. BJ wanted to just give it to his son, who then turned it down! The CU Buffs have sold out their home games for 3 years in a row now. JLO had a wardrobe malfunction over the weekend. Protestors in LA took to the streets to protest against recent ICE activity. When the protest turned into riots police were called in. One police officer shot a reporter who was covering the incident with a rubber bullet. Jamie is getting her face snatched up during our summer break. She asked her dermatologist to recommend her different doctors at different price points for the same surgery. The difference in cost is insane.

Susan Hollern is the Founder and President of Hope Haven Rwanda, a transformative educational initiative that empowers students and families in post-genocide Rwanda. Based in Sedalia, Colorado, Susan brings a background in entrepreneurship, real estate, finance, and deep faith to her work—driven by a personal calling to serve others through bold obedience and a surrendered life. Her leadership has turned a humble school under a tree into a thriving institution that now educates over 2,000 students annually, with a vision of raising up the next generation of Christian world leaders. Susan joins us on The Wow Factor to walk us through her personal and spiritual journey—from growing up in Ohio with a strong work ethic and independent spirit, to experiencing a full surrender to God that changed her life's trajectory. She shares how a mission trip to the Philippines and a divine encounter at a Rwanda fundraiser set her on a path to found Hope Haven. Susan's story is full of wisdom, perseverance, and vision. Her mission isn't just to educate students but to support entire families and communities so every child has the chance to thrive—spiritually, emotionally, and academically. “I kept praying, ‘Use me.' But when you say that, be ready. Your life will not look the same—but I promise, it'll be better.” – Susan Hollern “Hope Haven started under a tree with 97 kids. Now we serve over 2,000 students. That's a miracle only God could write.” – Susan Hollern “I had to fully surrender—not just me, but my whole family. Once I did, I saw how much I'd been holding back from God.” – Susan Hollern This Week on The Wow Factor: How growing up with a strict work ethic shaped Susan's sense of independence The struggle of reconciling hard work with faith—and how surrender changed everything Her path from horse shows and real estate to founding a school in Rwanda The catalytic moment that connected her to Rwanda through a book, a handshake, and a mission trip How Hope Haven Rwanda evolved from a school functioning in a mud house and tent to a primary/secondary school and later adding a leadership institute for students to launch successfully into careers, impacting all 30 districts in the Why true transformation goes beyond education—it's about changing families and entire communities The power of praying bold prayers, asking God to “use me,” and trusting Him in moments of pain and reversal Student success stories, including international math, AI, and debate competitions Her vision of raising Christian world leaders from some of the most underserved communities on the planet Susan Hollern's Word of Wisdom: If you want to live a truly meaningful life, don't just give part of yourself—surrender everything. It's not always easy, but it's the only way to live in full partnership with God's purpose. When you let go of control, you make space for miracles. Join Summit Church tonight as we continue our Baby Steps series. In the Studio with Wayne we'll be studying Romans 13 which talks about respecting governing authorities, paying our taxes and letting Jesus Christ impart His righteousness to US. As TAX Day approaches this is a timely message
The Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) is currently in the middle of tax season. DOR director Trish Vincent and deputy director Cheryl Bosch joined us live on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Missouri" this morning to discuss tax season. Trish Vincent is a state government veteran who is well-known in Jefferson City. It's her second stint as DOR director. She also served under then-Governor Matt Blunt. Deputy director Bosch tells listeners that DOR will process more than three-million returns by April. She also says the agency has already processed 598,000 refunds for a total amount of about $350-million. Director Vincent and Deputy Director Bosch encourage you to file electronically, saying you can do it 24-7 and that electronically filed returns have fewer errors than paper returns. While 99 percent of Missourians have filed electronically so far, some still file by paper. DOR emphasizes the importance of signing your tax form when you file by paper so you can get your refund. Director Vincent also tells listeners that DOR is building/preparing a mobile license office that can help in critical situations. Director Vincent tells listeners that the mobile driver's license unit will likely be at the Missouri state fair in Sedalia in August:

From Sparks to Light - Inspiring Stories for Challenging Times
"Trust your heart, because in addiction, we lose faith in our own judgement and what we see as right or wrong," says “Taylor”, the name he gave himself after he embraced sobriety After years of struggling to leave addiction behind, he works to help others find their way to a sober life. "Have faith in yourself,” he says. “Believe in yourself because that's the only way that you're going to get sober and stay sober." Born in Sedalia, Missouri in a segregated community, his early years were marked with the traumas inherent in racism. At 10 he witnessed an event that would change the trajectory of his life, casting him into an abyss so deep it would take years to dig himself out.But dig deep he did. Now, more than seven and a half years sober, he is grateful for the life he has and for the family, both biological and chosen, who have loved and supported him. Today he has built a life he is proud of, one in which service to others is central. As you listen to this episode, consider:We all have times of struggle, when we need someone to listen. fWotD Episode 2821: Slayback's Missouri Cavalry Regiment Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia’s finest articles. The featured article for Friday, 24 January 2025 is Slayback's Missouri Cavalry Regiment.Slayback's Missouri Cavalry Regiment was a cavalry regiment of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. Originally formed as Slayback's Missouri Cavalry Battalion, the unit consisted of men recruited in Missouri by Lieutenant Colonel Alonzo W. Slayback during Price's Raid in 1864. The battalion's first action was at the Battle of Pilot Knob on September 27; it later participated in actions at Sedalia, Lexington, and the Little Blue River. In October, the unit was used to find an alternate river crossing during the Battle of the Big Blue River. Later that month, Slayback's unit saw action at the battles of Westport, Marmiton River, and Second Newtonia. The battalion was briefly furloughed in Arkansas before rejoining Major General Sterling Price in Texas in December. Probably around February 1865, the battalion reached official regimental strength after more recruits joined. On June 2, 1865, the Confederate Trans-Mississippi Department surrendered. The men of the regiment were located at different points in Louisiana and Arkansas when they were paroled twelve days later, leading the historian James McGhee to believe that the regiment had disbanded before the surrender. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:12 UTC on Friday, 24 January 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Slayback's Missouri Cavalry Regiment on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Danielle.

Tonight's guest, Dylan, was home on leave, in Colorado, from serving in the United States Marine Corps, when he had his Bigfoot sighting. Hello Patrons! Here is the first of three volumes of supplementary material from the 65-67 series! There were a number of trends from this year that stood out, that we didn't really get a chance to cover on the main show. There were multiple events where a car would be lifted up into the air and communication would occur. South America was the location of a number of contactee like cases, but also cases in which "little people" would present witnesses with pieces of metal. This was also the year of the Valensole Affair, one of France's most important UFO cases of all time, and even Antarctica saw UFO activity around this time! It's Tuesday, July 2nd, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes and heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Adam McManus Namibia, Africa decriminalizes homosexual behavior Last week, the high court of the Southern African nation of Namibia struck down a colonial law banning homosexual behavior in the country. Last year, the same court legitimized homosexual faux marriage for a bi-national couple. Homosexual behavior is criminalized in 30 African countries, and allowed in 24 countries now. Supreme Court: Trump has limited immunity from prosecution The U.S. Supreme Court ruled yesterday in favor of the former President, in relation to his post-election activities on January 6th, 2021, reports LifeSiteNews.com. By a vote of 6 to 3, the high court granted Donald Trump immunity for official acts taken in his role as president of the United States. The majority on the court agreed with Trump's appeal. The decision, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, concluded that: “The President is not above the law. But under our system of separated powers, the President may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for his official acts.” What remains to be answered is which actions taken after the 2020 election by the president were official and which were unofficial. This question is remanded to the lower courts. House Speaker Mike Johnson called the decision “a victory for former President Trump.” And the Biden campaign said the decision has handed Trump "the keys to a dictatorship," reports the New York Post. Supreme Court deals blow to regulation stranglehold In other Supreme Court news, the high court has rendered the regulatory bureaucracy a serious setback in the United States. Friday's decision overturned the 1984 decision Chevron U.S.A. Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council Inc., — which to this point had allowed federal bureaucracies extensive latitude for interpreting law and implementing regulations. Poll: Donald – 44%, Biden – 41% The latest Non-Partisan Patriot Polling puts Donald Trump ahead of Joe Biden in the presidential race, 44% to 41%. The current president's rating has also dropped off from 33% to 29%. And 76% of prospective voters polled say Donald Trump won last Thursday's debate. Colonel Macgregor: Biden's cognitive decline means US gov't is in "unelected hands" Speaking of that debate, Retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor has said that “the governing power” of the U.S. lies “in unelected hands” after the first presidential debate highlighting President Joe Biden's cognitive decline to the whole world, reports LifeSiteNews.com. In a 5-minute video message published on the YouTube channel Our Country Our Choice, Col. MacGregor expressed his profound concern for the United States after Biden's catastrophic performance. Listen. MacGREGOR: “President Biden is not fit to discharge the immense duties of the presidency. The alarming evidence of his cognitive decline was on display for all to witness. Yet his enablers and political allies continue to exploit the president to substitute their destructive agenda for the interests of the American people. “The unconscionable betrayal of the sacred trust that must exist between the federal government and American citizens is all around us. Destructive executive orders and policy directives, many of which were likely signed when President Biden was in a rapidly diminished state of mind, inflicting tremendous damage on our nation. “Sadly, President Biden's fragile mental state was laid bare for all to see in last night's debate. His responses were frequently incoherent, he appeared lost even confused, struggling to complete basic thoughts. It was heartbreaking, a spectacle that confirmed our worst fears about his deteriorating capacity.” Col. MacGregor questioned the legitimacy of Biden's executive orders in light of his demonstrable mental incapacity. MacGREGOR: “No individual whose mental health is compromised, should be allowed to continue in the most demanding job on Earth. Americans, we find ourselves at a critical juncture in our nation's journey. In the private sector or in matters of estate planning, the validity of signatures made under such circumstances would be challenged and invalidated in a court of law. “How can we accept crucial national decisions being made under these conditions? The American people deserve better. It is time to ask, ‘Who truly governs this country?' Is it ‘we the people,' as our Founders intended, or have we surrendered control to unelected bureaucrats?” Trump ally Steve Bannon went to jail yesterday Longtime Trump ally Steve Bannon was taken into custody yesterday after surrendering at a federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut. He began his four-month prison sentence on contempt charges for defying a subpoena in the congressional investigation into the events on January 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol, reports the Associated Press. Speaking to reporters, Bannon called himself a “political prisoner.” BANNON: “I'm a political prisoner of Nancy Pelosi. I'm a political prisoner of Merrick Garland. I'm a political prisoner of Joe Biden, the corrupt Biden establishment. “You saw on Thursday, all the lies that they told any group that would sit there and lie to you about the shape of the President of the United States, with the national security element of that, lied about the 2020 election. They've lied about COVID. They've lied about everything that they've done to the American people and they're not going to stop. Until we stop them, they're not going to stop.” Court injunction allows Good News Clubs into Hawaiian schools Here's some good news for the Good News Clubs sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship! Since 2022, Hawaii's Department of Education had denied every single request for access Hawaii's primary schools by the Christian Good News Clubs. Liberty Counsel has obtained a court injunction to open access to the Good News clubs in Hawaii, and provide “timely responses to future applications.” In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Good News to every creature.” Criminal illegal immigrants entry to America has quadrupled Criminals entering the borders of the United States have quadrupled since 2019 — in just five years. These are people that had already been convicted of one or more crimes prior to entering America. The official Customs and Border Protection numbers clocked 4,300 arrests in 2019. By contrast, this year that number is approaching 17,000 or an average of 1,459 per month. Banks welcome gold back as a hedge in an uncertain economy Interest in gold as a safe hedge is back, at least for the world banks. For fifty years, between 1960 and 2010, the world banks shed their gold reserves, dropping from 1.23 billion ounces to 960 million ounces. Now, for the last 14 years, the banks have been buying back gold. There is now 1.15 billion ounces of gold representing about 2.7% of the Gross World Product, reports WolfStreet.com. New Mexico's surgical abortions have tripled Since 2020, the number of abortions performed in New Mexico has tripled. Most of that is due to women from Texas seeking abortions across the border. Now, 71% of New Mexican abortions are out-of-state abortions, reports Abortion Free New Mexico. The Word of God is firm on this: “You shall not murder.” (Exodus 20:13) 14 Worldview listeners gave a final $9,600 And finally, between some checks that just arrived in the mail at our P.O. Missouri Times Publisher Scott Faughn gives us the rundown of how the annual Cattlemen's Steak Fry in Sedalia went. A Missouri restaurant goes viral for a bizarre reason and we speculate on if "The Donald" will see any prison time.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson (R), state lawmakers in both parties and state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) officials will be in Columbia Thursday morning for the groundbreaking ceremony for the $405-million project to rebuild and expand I-70 between Columbia and Kingdom City. The work will begin after the Fourth of July east of Columbia. Governor Parson signed bipartisan legislation in August in Columbia providing $2.8 billion to reconstruct and expand I-70 to six lanes from Blue Springs to Wentzville. The first phase will be the 20 miles from Columbia to Kingdom City. "Missouri Times" publisher Scott Faughn joined us live on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Mid-Missouri", telling listeners that this will be the largest public works project in Missouri history. Mr. Faughn also says the improvements are critical for America's national defense and for the economy. Mr. Faughn also discussed this past weekend's popular steak fry in Sedalia, which is organized by the Columbia-based Missouri Cattlemen's Association. Faughn says numerous political candidates from both parties attended and talked about Missouri Governor Mike Parson's final steak fry. Mr. Faughn also says he was impressed with House Minority Leader Crystal Quade's (D-Springfield) speech in Sedalia that night, where she talked about the importance of getting things done and growing up in Webster County:
Missouri House Minority Leader Crystal Quade (D-Springfield) is seeking the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in August. Leader Quade is finishing her eighth and final year in the Missouri House due to term limits. She grew up in rural Webster County and now lives in Springfield. Her mother was a waitress and her father worked in a factory. Leader Quade joined us live on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Mid-Missouri". Republicans have dominated in rural Missouri in statewide elections since 2016. Leader Quade aims to change that. She tells listeners she and about ten other House Democrats will be attending the Missouri Cattlemen's Association steak fry dinner in Sedalia, which is a big event for farmers and ranchers. Leader Quade tells listeners that it's important to show up and listen and hear from voters across Missouri, including the rural areas. She says that's important as a state representative as well. We also discussed the Kansas City Chiefs situation. Kansas lawmakers will return to the capitol in Topeka on June 18, for a special legislative session regarding the Kansas City Chiefs. The Associated Press (AP) says legislative efforts are underway in Topeka to lure the Chiefs to the Sunflower State. State Rep. Mark Sharp (D-Kansas City) tells Kansas City's KMBC-TV that he wants to see Missouri's GOP supermajority do something. He's worried the Chiefs could move to Kansas. Leader Quade worries about it as well, highlighting the economic impact of the Chiefs as well as having the Super Bowl champions in Kansas City. "Missouri Times" publisher Scott Faughn was today's guest host on "Wake Up":
