In this week's episode of Time Out with Jenn and Lisa, we touch on the latest NFL scores from Week 7. There were a few surprises but nothing too monumental. Can the Ravens play consistently? Are the Chiefs in trouble? Are the Colts turning a corner? Lisa breaks down the conferences and identifies the teams that she considers "out" of any sort of post season chance. Did your team make the list? Lisa also has some random trivia about the NFL and Jenn talks about her go to games for Week 8. The World Series is here! Jenn didn't predict this one but Lisa had 1 of the teams! Can the Braves pull a miracle and beat the favored Astros? Lisa goes over the unwritten rules of baseball, and a few get into some lengthy discussions. Jenn talks about her top World Series moments, do you agree?

In this week's episode, we kick it off with the latest in Major League Baseball. The Divisional Series are wrapping up with a few surprises (Tampa Bay, anyone?) It's been quite a battle between the Giants and Dodgers, who will take on the surprising Braves? The Red Sox are surging now and take on the hot Astros in the ALCS. Jenn goes over some of the greatest post-season moments in the Divisional and Conference Series. What are your some of your highlight reel worthy moments? NFL Week 5 is in the books and teams are starting to establish themselves. The Bills look like the team to beat in the AFC, while is Green Bay on the move in the NFC? Can the Cardinals be stopped? Their big test is this weekend against the Chargers (one of Lisa's surprise teams). Lisa hits on her biggest surprises and disappointments so far this year. Does Jenn agree? There were 2 big coaching things this week that are quickly discussed because both have been played out enough. NHL kicked off on Tuesday, and the household couldn't be more excited. Lisa picks her top goal scorer for the year and Jenn makes some bold predictions on divisional and Stanley Cup teams. Join us for a fun time!

We are back! Season 2 kicks off after a month off to recharge with the MLB playoffs. The AL WC game took place between 2 long-time rivals with the NE team winning easily. Boston takes on Tampa Bay and Houston plays Chicago in the other WC matchup. The NL WC game (in progress at taping) features the defending Champs, LA Dodgers, vs the kicking it into gear, Cardinals. The winner takes on the surprising Giants, who might be Lisa's pick to win it all. Braves and Brewers round out the NL playoff divisional series games. Who do Jenn and Lisa think will win this year? NFL Week 4 has been completed! Quick recap on some highlights from some of the games including Brady's return to New England in a game that say him throw 0 TDs (crazy!) The Bills are poised and confident heading into their matchup against the Chiefs and have the G-Men turned a corner? Tune in to find out!

Jenn looks at each division, each conference and gives her picks for the strongest division and the weakest division. Lisa picks her Super Bowl champion and Rookie of the Year (Offense and Defense). Will Kansas City win 2 titles in 3 years or can Tom Brady pull off the impossible and win another Super Bowl. What will happen to Green Bay and Buffalo? Episode 32 is here! We talk a ton about baseball, MLB, Little League and the amazing Field of Dreams game. What's happening in MLB these days? Why are the Mets stinking and why are the Yankees winning? Do we agree with the latest power ranking? Maybe...maybe not. The Little League World Series starts up and Lisa discusses some notable veterans of the game. Was Tom Brady one of them? Listen to find out. The Field of Dreams game was epic, could it have been any better? A walk-off home run into the corn? Classic. Lisa and Jenn want to see more games wrapped around baseball movies. What do you think? Topps and MLB are ending their relationship. Since 1952 Topps has owned the baseball card market, and that comes to a close in a few years. The NFL pre-season kicked off. How did the top QB draftees do? Lisa reviews their performances so far. Jenn discuss a recent study of which NFL team fans drink the most at the game. This doesn't include tailgating which would absolutely change these rankings. #1 surprised both of us. Finally, the silver medalist in women's javelin did something not many folks would do with their newly received silver medal. And that's why it is a feel good story.

The women dominated the Olympics this year, sending 5,000 athletes (or 48.8%) to the Tokyo games. This was a monster year for the USA women as they would have placed 4th in the medal count if they were an independent country. World records fell, countries won their first medals and Japan pulled off an Olympics in the pandemic. We recap it all...or best moments, our biggest disappointments. MLB and the failing Mets and surging Yankees, will it last? And the Cleveland Guardians had the biggest Marketing mistake...ever. All that and more!

It's Olympic time! In this episode Jenn and Lisa talk strictly about the Olympics, including our disappointment of the Opening Ceremonies and NBC's coverage, the USA Men's Basketball team, and other USA events that might be on the edge of tougher competition than expected. We also touch on swimming, triathlon, gymnastics, and 3x3 hoops. Lisa lists her hardest summer Olympic sports and also sports she'd like to see added to the Olympics. Does Jenn agree? In the latest and greatest episode of Time Out with Jenn & Lisa, we touch on the Stanley Cup finals and who we expect to win. Do we agree with each other? Canadiens are the last Canadian team to win a Cup, way back in 1993, so what are the odds of them upsetting the hot Lightning? Did the Lightning use too much energy against the Isles? The Tour de France kicked off this weekend with a crazy Day 1 that included fan interference that caused 75% of the Peloton to go down (and subsequent missing person after they caused the crash) and another major crash that injured a past winner. Stage 2 is in the books and it looks like it's lining up to be a great tour. The Olympic Trails are finishing up as we hit 30 days to the start. Track and Field as well as gymnastics finish out the trials and solidify the USA teams going to Tokyo. Jenn predicts that women will be more successful at these games than our male participants. Baseball is the final big topic discussed today, with a lively debate on the double header 7 inning rule and the impact on no-hitters. The 7th one was thrown this week but we did have 1 more that was tossed as part of a 7 inning double header. Should it count?

This episode of Time Out with Jenn & Lisa showcases a lengthy discussion on MLB and the recent pitching substance punishment. This is an ongoing cycle where pitchers have always used substances, so why now? Why in the middle of the season? Jenn and Lisa also look at, should a pitcher get the MVP award? While MLB allows them to be in the voting, should they be atop the voting? The NHL playoffs are in the semi-finals. Old school and new school conference finals are taking place. All of Canada is pulling for Montreal who has a 2-1 game lead (as of 6/19). Why are the Canadiens doing so well? Lisa has some thoughts on that one. The Olympics are 33 days away! This week's episode we talk about some of the most recent happenings in hockey (the OHL drafted the first woman ever), the NHL playoffs including Jenn's predicted winner. Lisa talks about "the hit" on Jake Evans, is a 4 game suspension to Mark Scheifele warranted? Julio Jones was traded, I don't think either of us thought he'd end up where he did. Who is the real winner in this trade? Brooks vs Bryson, the PGA has some drama and one of them offered to buy their fans beer. The Women's College Softball World Series is going on now and well, it's been amazing games. Who else is on the JMU bandwagon? *raises hand*

Episode 24 kicks off with some MLB news, and the dumbest contracts ever in sports! Scott Kazmir pitched against a team that is paying him a deferred salary. Say what? When the Giants pitcher went up against his deferred salary paying Dodgers, how did it go? Are there more deferred contracts in sports, you betcha. In NFL news, the next kicker inducted into the Hall of Fame retired, as the points leader in the sport. Not bad. Where will Julio Jones end up? Phil Mickelson won the PGA Championship last week, picking up his 45th PGA Tour wing and 6th Major victory. There was a scary crowd moment on the 18th hole, but that didn't deter him from buckling down and sinking his putt to win by 2. NCAA Softball Tournament kicked off last weekend with some surprise winners moving onto the Super Regionals. Who will take home the crown. And Jenn makes her pick for the 105th running of the Indy 500, the greatest race.

From Duke University to the Buffalo Bills, women are gaining ground in the business of sports. 6 no-nos in 7 weeks? Yes, that is on pace to break the single season record for no-hitters in MLB. Clayton Kershaw has some strong opinions on why this is happening, and you better believe Jenn does too. Round 1 of the NHL playoffs have started! Will a Canadian team bring the cup back up North? Or will a team from the SW take the cup? Tim Tebow is back in football. Publicity stunt? We don't think so. The Amazing Amy, a NCAA golfer has set the first stepping stone in golf for athletes with disabilities. A story that will make you smile.

Lisa has 5 cities, and Jenn ranks them via diva scale...or probability that he will end up there. NHL finishes up next week, who are the sleepers that could take the cup? What do we think about Tom Wilson? Women's basketball had a few items to discuss this week, including the Baylor replacement and how awesome Tonya Edwards is for giving back to her childhood community.

The latest episode of Time Out with Jenn & Lisa highlights Jenn and Lisa's excitement that Opening Day for Major League Baseball is here! It's finally here! After a shortened season we are extra excited wearing our jerseys and preparing our Fantasy Baseball teams. Lisa is loaded with Opening Day trivia so you'll have some Easter holiday conversation. The NCAA Basketball Final Four is set for men and women. Jenn and Lisa go over their favorites, but so far Jenn has been about as solid with her picks as a melting ice cream cone. The women's side had some upsets as well. Arizona anyone? The NHL trade deadline is almost here! What would've been the beginning of the post-season has new meaning this year. March Madness has seen its upsets this year so far (Oral Roberts, anyone?) and we think it should continue! Illinois and Ohio State are out but the favorite, Gonzaga is still in.
