While in town for the Texas Craft Brewers Festival, we had a great visit with Glenna Nelson, marketing director for Circle Brewing. North Austin's oldest brewery is also the home brewery for the local MLS team Austin Anthem and fans gather for pre and post game festivities. Several great brews were had including the Tuxedo T-Shirt Black IPA, Pacific Jade Dry-Hopped Saison and Whiskey Pig BBA Imperial Porter. They will soon be opening a new production facility just a few miles down the road in Elgin, TX that will further expand the Circle Brewing footprint. Thank for listening! Cheers!! Roca and Jorge are the new hosts, and we talk about the game at Montreal and the upcoming one against FC Dallas.
I avsnitt nummer 31 av Soccerberoende, Sveriges kanske enda podcast om nordamerikansk fotboll, intervjuas Tony Cardone som är nybliven president i Austin FC-supporterklubben Austin Anthem.
Episode Breakdown: Catching up with the boys (:48) What we're drinking/Beer news (9:15) (Circle Brewing Company's Austin Anthem Ale and Twisted Elk Brewing's Ale-N-Vasion Hazy IPA) Metal news (22:49) Upcoming Tours (34:19) Brewtal Alumni Updates (42:44) New music (44:39) Featured band (55:30) (Reality Grip) Synopsis: The story kicks off with Arie returning home to add more ink to his body and take on a few hot sauces. Meanwhile, Todd dives deeper into gaming, testing his skills on “Biomutant.” As always, we bring the heavy with craft beer and metal news! Speaking of brews, Todd comes full circle with an ale worthy of an “Austin Anthem” while Arie has a hazy relocation of his time in Lake City. His version of events get a little twisted after one too many “Ale N Vasion” Hazy IPAs. In the metal world, there's a murmur of a new “Bad Wolves” frontman, we share a couple Brewtal alumni updates, as well as more upcoming tours and festivals, and lastly, we run through new albums and songs to jam! Our featured band has a tight grip on reality and is notorious for one punching King Kong square in the face. They're certainly no disgrace to the scene and may just get violent if dropped in water, so watch out! You wouldn't want to turn a king into a tyrant! Featured Band: This week's episode features Tyrant from Reality Grip. Bio: Reality Grip is Godzilla in the fucking flesh. The culmination of a black hole collapsing and the planet being hit with a meteor. Fight riffs, immeasurably heavy breakdowns, and a wall of sound thick enough to split the planet in half. Reality Grip has only one mission....Arrive, wreck everything, and return still Kings amongst Kings. Also we are all dads and goofy as shit and we don't take ourselves to seriously lol we just want everyone to catch a felony at our shows! Our EP is slated to come out at the end of 2021 What Reality Grip is Drinking: Our favorite beer styles are Gose for sure, but our vocalist Jesse who runs his own beer review show, the Trench bros podcast, is a DDH IPA fan and Stout fanatic! Make sure to give Reality Grip some love via any of the following: Apple Music | Spotify | YouTube Music | YouTube | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter Jam Tyrant and other gnarly tracks from previous Featured Bands on our Bands to Watch For playlist Beers fueling this week's episode include Circle Brewing Company's Austin Anthem Ale (Todd's pick) and Twisted Elk Brewing's Ale-N-Vasion Hazy IPA (Arie's pick.) Austin Anthem Ale is a blonde ale in association with the new Austin Anthem MLS team. Ale-N-Vasion is Hazy IPA made with 8 different types of hops.
