Have you seen the latest virtue-signaling craze? The yard sign that reads: “In this house, we believe: Black Lives Matter; No Human is Illegal; Love is Love; Women’s Rights Are Human Rights; Science is Real; Water is Life; Injustice Anywhere Is a Threat to Justice Everywhere." Joe Biden recently selected California Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate. You may be wondering why I would spend any time talking about someone who, if history is any guide, will be a footnote in the history books? Think Geraldine Ferraro, Dan Quayle, Lloyd Bentsen, Jack Kemp, Joe Lieberman, John Edwards, Paul Ryan and Tim Kayne. The reason, of course, is because Joe Biden is not healthy. The likelihood of him serving out his term (if elected) is looking less likely by the day. The other reason to spend time examining Kamala Harris is because the party-line about her from the left-wing media is that she is a pragmatic moderate and a wonderful role model for girls all over the globe. Is that the case or is she, as others have suggested, a manipulative, authoritarian, opportunist. You tell me what you think after listening to this episode. We cover a lot of ground in this episode: starting with President Trump’s call for a prohibition of late-term abortion in his State of the Union Address. We then move on to discuss the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade opinion. Then we discuss some very instructive verbal jousting on Facebook about abortion and, finally, we address the misnomer known as "Pro-Choice”. When I first heard the term "Trump Derangement Syndrome", I thought, "This is nothing new! The opposing party of every President has some level of irrationality associated with it." I then came across a study that claims Americans are stressed out due to the political climate. They are losing sleep, ruining relationships and feeling mentally and physically sick. When you combine that study with everything Trump has been put through - the constant media scrutiny (fake news), the baseless Russia collusion investigation, the lop-sided and deceitful impeachment inquiry, the level of vitriol directed at him and the violence directed at his supporters, I have come to the conclusion that this syndrome seems real. Trump just is not playing the game by the customary rules created by the D.C. establishment and they are not happy with the prospect of an outsider changing the rules. Trump Derangement Syndrome is an epidemic among the D.C. establishment. I love the fact that he has deranged them to the point where they have been flushed out with all of their cards laid on the table. I don't know about you but sometimes I get tired of discussing all the areas where we disagree politically or on public policy issues. In this episode I attempt to focus on things that most of us agree on such as government spending, right-to-try laws, the surveillance state, sound money, war, tort reform, term limits, the War on Drugs and the War on Poverty. Does it not make sense to first focus on the few things in which we agree and then circle back to the numerous head-butting issues that divide us? As I record this episode, we are living through the aftermath of two mass shootings – one at a Wal-Mart in El Paso, Texas and one in the entertainment district in Dayton, Ohio. The reaction from the Left is as expected. Blame the NRA, blame rhetoric, blame guns, blame a perceived bias in society, blame everyone and everything except the shooters. The Left has, yet again demonstrated themselves to be political opportunists disguised as compassionate onlookers. Their condemnation discrimination exposes their glaringly obvious double standard as they direct unfounded blame, condemnation and vitriol at their political opponents while ignoring the fact that many of these mass murderers are self-proclaimed liberals, socialists and communists. They ignore mass shootings in Chicago, death and destruction in wars all over the world, and glorify and celebrate the murder of innocent babies in the womb while laying the blame of these mass shootings at the foot of Trump, the NRA and/or anyone who supports the Second Amendment. Finding a solution is not their objective. Their objective is gun confiscation through liberty-limiting restrictions on gun ownership. The best long-term solution is a return of God to the public square. Short of that other solutions include law enforcement stepping up their game, reforming our mental health system, exploring red flag laws and eliminating gun-free zones. We discuss all of this and more in this episode. I think it is safe to say that the Roe v. Wade opinion is the most controversial Supreme Court opinion of the last 50 years. If not, the consequences of it certainly are with over 50 million abortions being performed. But what is the truth about the opinion? How many people have actually taken the time to read it? Upon reading the opinion, I was struck by the intellectual dishonesty of the majority opinion and the lack of true constitutional analysis. I was also alarmed at the callous manner in which the life in the womb was characterized and the list of so-called valid reasons for ending an innocent life. In this episode, I introduce or reintroduce you to the Roe case and walk you through Justice Harry Blackmun's majority opinion. At times it is sick and twisted but, in the end, the court surprisingly leaves the door wide open for state regulation of abortion. Besides leading to the death of tens of millions of innocent lives, this opinion demonstrates just how far activist judges will go in pursuit of their policy preferences. I demonstrate this by dismantling their three primary citations - the right to privacy, the Ninth and the Fourteenth Amendment. Show Notes: Roe v. Wade opinion Chapter 7 of Mark Levin’s Men in Black. In this episode we examine the historical record of the national Democratic Party and then fast-forward to present day and uncover the real motivations behind their radical agenda. Why do they take such hard line positions on policies like abortion, illegal immigration, welfare, gay marriage, socialized medicine, guns control, climate change, minimum wage and higher taxes? Why do they advocate for socialism? None of these policies have the support of the majority of Americans yet they are all a prominent fixture in the platform that the national Democratic Party. I’m a Baby Episode # 66 In this episode, I talk about babies. Were only a few days away from Christmas? And a lot of people are talking about the baby Jesus. Now I don’t know whether it’s all the talk of Christmas here to house, or if Mama honestly thinks she is a baby because of her dementia. This week here in the house, Mama has called herself a baby. You may find yourself in your 50s thinking about whether or not you want to have another child. I would suggest to you, though. Before you take that step move your elderly parents in, especially if they have a physical or mental problem to where they need help 24 7 365. You see, you may find yourself in a position that stuff and I’ve found ourselves in where was a baby, you can do what you want when you want, how you want, but when you’re taking care of an adult. It’s not that easy. You find yourself without time to explain to them what, why and how you doing things. From time to time you may wish you were of a certain age, but you want to go back to that age. No one would you know now. Everybody knows that that is impossible. However, in mom’s case, she’s a toddler mentally so she reacts as a toddler at times. You find yourself dealing with an adult with a toddler’s mentality and that is not always easy to do. Now I realized that people have to work. But what I don’t understand is how you can just put your parents in a nursing home and never, ever go see them. There are 5 of us kids left and 3 of us kids don’t even bother coming around to see mom and haven’t for about 4 years. They were around for the 1st 2 years, and Mama was Mama, but they have just up and disappeared. They don’t even bother calling anymore. Now I realized that Mama can’t talk on the phone anymore but still that’s no reason just to disappear and not even see your mother, your parents at all. We’re just a few days away from Christmas, and I’m not sure that were going to bother decorating again this year for Christmas. Because of the way Mama Reacts, but the problem of it is, is I don’t know whether that reaction is a bad reaction or is it just the fact of the pretty lights, and the pretty packages. Or is it a reaction of fear? I’m not sure I don’t know that I will ever know for sure. As for myself, I’m a big Christmas buff I like all the lights in the packages. But it’s a lot of work for one person to put everything up. And there’s not a lot of time in the evening when Stephanie, Michael come home from work to do a whole lot. So I’m not sure that were going to decorate again this year. I’m just not sure. If you’re still reading, I would like to say thank you for reading this far as I wrap up the show notes. I would just like to say Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. If you hit www.babymountainradio.com. You may run into it being down I’m working on the website, but it shouldn’t take me more than just a few hours to do what I need to do. If you find the website down. Please, please keep trying to leave me a message. I’d appreciate it.

This week, we "embrace the possible" as we chat to Leigh Rathbone about Yes Man, a Jim Carrey romantic comedy which tells the somewhat-real-life story of Carl Allen, an unconfident recluse who is encouraged to say "yes" to more things in his life. We talk to Leigh about how Yes Man inspired him to do the same with his testing career, and the opportunities that opened up for him when he did this. There are discussions about work-life balance, the responsibility of employers to help with maintaining balance, and when it might be appropriate to say "no". As we progress, we pitch a role for Jim Carrey in Dunkirk, wonder if trespassing can be romantic, Leigh auditions to be our voiceover artist, and Neil still manages to crowbar-in a La La Land reference.
